The pioneership of Lucy wins over the culturalistic aspects of The Flintstones, and should move on here. Lucy was one of the top 2 highest rated shows during its 6 main seasons on the air, and those episodes of the show, live forever, and although the social values (Ricky using Lucy's buttocks for a drum) might not hold up today, the show is still a great show for everyone to watch. For those who have watched I Love Lucy, you will know that the show is extremely funny, especially considering it is 50 years old, showing the humour has not dated, unlike The Flintstones.

I Love Lucy gets my vote here because it's better than The Flintstones in the sense that although it is REALLY old it's still a great show. It says a lot when a show old enough to be from the era before color tv's is better than a younger show, although The Flintstones is pretty old too but not as old as I Love Lucy is. I Love Lucy was a classic show and it's always good even in reruns.
