30 guys enter - who beats the other 29?

Mr. Artistic guy

Better Off This Way
This is early and thats why it's a good time to capitilise on this sumptuous oppertunity. Given that royal rumble is say between 2-3 months away with the cards as they are right now, who do you call to win the rumble. I've got a stipulation to make it a little more interesting though:

It cannot be a guy who has been in the title picture for the last year at least, preferably never at all. It cannot be HHH if he happens to return from injury. Finally, be sensible, don't make claims like chavo or zach ryder please.

SHOOT!...

I could possibly see Barrett winning the royal rumble or even a possible returning Bobby Lashley. He hasn't been in the main even in the past year so i thought that would work. I think it would be sweet to see Lashley return to the squared circle by winning the Rumble.

My very likely pick and the one i think will actually win is Barrett. He could easily win this with the help of his nexus followers like we had with Orton in 2009 and Legacy. I think that this would be a great way to get him in the main event against Taker at MANIA!

those are my early picks of course anything could change

oops so i read this wrong the first time and put trips (really hope it isn't him) I think it'll be John Morrisson... He needs a good push to jump him into the title scene and I can see him pulling off some amazing stuff in the rumble and pulling off the win... He's been floating around mid-card for a while but a quick rumble win can easily bump him to the main event.

Using your stipulations I'd like to say Alberto Del Rio, but heels rarely win the rumble and I'm not sure the E would be willing to push him into a main event match at Mania that soon. But when I look at the faces I'm not sure what faces there are that deserve that bump into the main event seen. I mean who do we have? John Morrison and Kofi Kingston? As much as I'd like to see either one of them win it I can't see that going down. So looking at the current roster and the potential of returns I'd have to say that a big name guy is gonna win this. Guys who could return are Triple H and Chris Jericho and then the big name guys who have a great shot are Randy Orton and John Cena. If I had to venture a guess it would be one of those four superstars with Randy Orton being the most likely to accomplish the feat.

Great stipulations for this thread, keeps things a little more fresh. If all goes well and this Sheamus and JOMO feud produces at least a couple of good matches this could be the year that a guy like JOMO could win the rumble, ala Royal Rumble 1995 match where HBK won. Just have John start off as an early entrant like 3 or 4, and just have him get the crap kicked out of him like Flair got beat up in 1992. It will make the fans a lot more sympathetic towards him at the end of the match as the people will be impressed with his tenacity and will to win. Then have him and Sheamus be the last two men in the rumble, building off of the feud that they are working on right now. Have Sheamus set him up for that Cross Powerbomb and then have Morrison hurricanrana that takes them both over the ropes, but have him hold on and then skin the cat back into the ring. The match itself could give him a ton of credibility as a top guy in one night, if done properly.

I think sheamus is going to get it. I feel like he'll get jomo the push he needs and go back to getting his own image as a main eventer more grounded.

My pick is the the returning Captain Charisma Chistian. I say he returns at the Rumble ad Wins it. I would LOVE for him Edge to face at Mania for the title and keep th fued going for awhile with it ending in a TLC.

So my pick Christian returnig and winning

Using your stipulation (which people in this thread are failing to follow), I'd pick Christian to win it. Have him return at the Rumble, have him win, Edge wins the title at lets say Surviour Series and has a good run with the title to Wrestlemania where he loses the title to Christian and Jason Reso gets his first world title reign.

I personally would enjoy seeing The Big Show win:p.

Come on babe. My damn wife. Let the Big Show thing go. I will agree with some other guys that posted. Christian is the coolest choice. To see him and Edge battle at Wrestlemania, for a world championship has to rank as one of the most must see matches of all time. That is hoping the Edge dethrones Kane.

Christian would be the best pick. he is long over due for a title run, Ecw title was cool but not the same as the wwe or world championship.

Can someone explain to me why Vince should feel obligated to give Christian a title-run? Christian jumped ship, went to a company that trashes his business, and came crawling back.

I like the guy, but why should Vince feel he's "long overdue", especially with no leverage coming into it?

The stipulations put in place here basically eliminate all of the guys with the best true shot at winning the Royal Rumble 2011. Because in all likelihood, it will be Triple H or someone expected like this.

Bearing the stipulations in mind, I'll say John Morrison. Who knows, maybe the Miz will have successfully redeemed his MITB by then, setting up a Miz/Morrison showdown, but this time in the main event. Truthfully, I could see this happening some day, just not yet.

Didnt Drug Hardy oh my bad Jeff do the same thing? yes and Jeff came back an became a 3x World Champ in WWE. Christian is the full package He has the wrestling skills, Mic skills, and a Huge fan base. The only thing is he isnt as big as WWE likes but neither is Miz or some others. Christian had no choice but to go to TNA he had some personal problems while he was in WWE so had to leave. He didnt come crawling back he wanted to come back because he know WWE is his true home. Christian is a More experienced with better ring-skills Miz. Christian is one of th most popular Superstars out there and Could bring WWE alot of money if he wins the big one and we both Vinnie Mac Loves Money

The marketability factor wasn't even close though. Hardy left as a fan-favorite, while Christian left as a neglected candidate for a match at Taboo Tuesday.

Christian asked to be released before Taboo Tuesday and he was but being the guy he is he came to Taboo Tuesdato fulfill his duty to WWE. Christian wasnt a fan-favorite probally because he was a heel and he was way-over with fan he was getting booed bad like a heel should. Christian is Markatable He's one of the most popular guys in WWE he was the only thing that kept ECW alive in the last year.

Dispite the stip for this thread, I've had my Rumble Winner picked for a very long time. I'm going to pick Chris Jericho to win. We all know he's not done with wrestling for good, he only wanted some time off. And we also know the last few years, the WWE seems to like returning superstars to enter and win the rumble (Cena, Edge) and with Orton being the guy to take Jericho out, he'll likely be in the rumble, it'd make sence for Jericho to eliminate him, only to have Orton win the title at EC, setting up Jericho vs Orton at WM.

I think it's gonna be Christian. He'll return from injury, that's a surprise return, on no. 29 or 30 and go on to win. That's it. Christian.

You guys aren't thinking a lot about shocking wins. What if...since Kevin Nash said he hasn't signed with TNA yet, what if he returns and wins? Even Jim Ross, didn't deny that it could happen. Another guess, that I would dream to see would be if Sting finally came to the WWE and won the Rumble. What do you guys think about these two things happening?

i'll pick a couple people who i think would be the most entertaining. the miz, christian, and cm punk. these three are my favorite in the company at the moment because they are all great in the ring (the miz being a little less great but still good) and they are all great on the mic. i think in order to have a good wrestlemania match the build up has to be entertaining and with any of these three talking i think they would be able to put on a great wrestlemania match.

As much as I hate the guy, I think they might have Otunga win the rumble. That would setup a match between he and Barrett (whom we know is getting the world title soon).

Depends on if Wade barrett is still the champion. If he is I have a feeling it will be a batista type rumble and one of the current Nexus crew (like the guy said I feel like it will be Otunga) to break up Nexus and finish with a bang.

But then Again, I also know that Barrett is too green of a person to go into wrestlemania as a Champion in the main event So I think that it will end up being Christian to fued with edge over the title or what I have already said.

I think it will come down to either Christian or John Morrison. As far as the poster who talked about Nash or Sting. I don't think we'll see Sting in WWE right now but if it happened it would be sweet.

My Picks for the rumble are as follows:

Bobby Lashley - If he returns, do it at the rumble and win the whole thing maybe? Don't really like this idea at all, and don't think he deserves it, but who knows.

The Miz - If they really want to unify the titles, have Miz win the RR and cash in his MITB at Mania, thus making the ME at Mania a triple thread for a unified title? Who knows..

Y2J - Would love to see him have a decent run with the title.

CM Punk - His work in the RR this year was amazing, and he really deserves a shot/title run. Would love to see him win it and ME Mania.

I'd love to see either John Morrison or Alberto Del Rio win it. Both are the future of WWE and I've been pretty impressed with the generational change over the last two years - it's time to see what these guys can do at WM. Otherwise, maybe Daniel Bryan or Dolph Ziggler are just about reasy to step up to main event status - maybe WM 2012.

I like the idea of chiefsrulebr2 though - for Nash to come back and win would be sweet.

Two from leftfield that will never happen - 1) Christopher Daniels - the guy is gold in the ring and pretty good on the mic too. Imagine the feuds he could have! 2) Mike Knox - where is he? I thought he may have been in TNA by now. His character was pretty solid and he has unfinished business with Kane.
