25th Annual SummerSlam LD

And Trips DID tap out. I don't see the problem.

Yes, he did tap, but it's untraditional to do that to a face when the crowd was clearly backing him. It's like Jeter striking out to end a game vs. the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. The fans aren't going to chant "you struck out" as he walks back to the dugout.

what a dissapointing ppv. not horrible, just dissapointing.

Ziggler vs. Jericho ***3/4 (MOTN)
Bryan vs. Kane **3/4
Miz vs. Rey **3/4
Sheamus vs. Del Rio ***
Kofi/Truth vs. PTP **1/2
Punk vs. Cena vs. Show ***1/2
HHH vs. Lesnar ***1/2

This is where they lost it for me too. Lesnar came off looking like a wrestler who knew ONE submission hold rather than a monster, which is what he's been built up as. Look back to the match wtih Cena. The only wrestling move I remember him using there was an F5. Here, it was about 9 armbars or kimuras or whatever the name is and hammerlock slams. Lesnar looked decent here but he could barely beat a guy that wrestles twice a year. That doesn't scream someone I'd hand my money over as fast as possible to see.

I saw it differently than this. I saw Brock Lesnar dominating Triple H in a fairly brutal and decisive fashion, until they exploited Lesnar's history of abdominal issues by throwing him into the pointy part of the announcer's table, leveling the playing field in the process. The match was kept close because of Lesnar's history;without this, he would have continued to dominate. Then, despite being in distress, he was able to withstand two pedigrees, which guys rarely get up from, and ultimately get Triple H to submit.

Both guys look strong. Lesnar gets the win while HHH still looks good. And Lesnar looked pretty monster-like to me.

I enjoyed the event from beginning to end.

Some good wrestling, not the best booking, but I predicted the ending to Jericho/Ziggler in the Raw LD last Monday in a discussion with Crock, saw it coming from a mile away, phase two of my prediction is for Ziggler to take Jericho out tomorrow night so Chris can go do Fozzy for awhile, comeback and pick up with the Ziggler feud, who may or may not be WHC.

Loved Sheamus versus ADR; Del Rio's persona may suck, but as an in-ring performer its hard to discourage him, maybe he relies too much on kicks but it kind of makes him different. Thought the ending was silly, we'll end up either getting another meeting between the two with a stipulation, or a Fatal 4 Way/Triple Threat involving Orton and/or Mysterio I feel.

Wasn't too into the WWE Championship match. Liked Punk's tribute tights to Bret Hart; only reason I copped onto the fact they were for Bret was the design along the sides, as a huge fan of "The Hitman" that instantly stood out for me, although I have a feeling many presumed it was geared toward a Randy Savage tribute of sorts like hes done in the past.

And personally, I loved Lesnar versus Triple H. I agree the ending could have been better, and Lesnar looked too human at points, plus it was slow for period of time which kind of negated my overall enjoyment, but it was still entertaining. A good fight at the least. Pretty pleased with my purchase of the event; it also further proved my opinion that Kevin Rudolf sucks ass.

Really? Because I saw HHH dominate for the first minute, Lesnar seemingly knowing how to use one hold in total, and no reason whatsoever for HHH to need to look strong at all, nor for the ending to the show to be all about him.

Thank you! I understand they have been building the kimura as lethal, but it was way over used. They want to use his MMA background, and thats fine, but damn repetitive. I want to see the old Lesnar that popped off suplex variants and clotheslined the shit out of people. That was a monster.

At this rate we just might see Taker beat him with the Hells Gate. A 47 yr old bald guy beating a former UFC champ with a submission is just what Vince would write in the script. Plus I dont see WWE letting Brock put a huge beating on Taker like he did with Cena. They toned it down for the HHH match and will do the same with the Taker match I bet.

Yeah that's the problem: Brock broke Shawn and HHH's arms before in like 20 seconds each. Here he had the hold on and was wrapped around HHH"s standing body but HHH can break the hold? That's about as big of a stretch as Trish's chest after her implants.

Yet Undertaker wrestles once a year, beats everyone & no seems to have a problem handing their money over to him.

I have a theory.

Triple H wasn't saying goodbye or retiring, he was saying sorry for that awful Kevin Rudolf performance. Connect two-and-two together.

Different perspectives I guess. I saw Lesnar dominant throughout the first half of the match. I saw him almost make Triple H submit several times in the opening minute. I saw him throw Triple H aggressively into the steel steps, and manhandle him over by the announcers table. I saw Lesnar get past two normally lethal pedigrees. The only reason the match remained competitive was because of the way they exploited Lesnar's abdominal issues.

Personally I was predicting a hard fought battle, with Triple H coming out on top. The fact that he lost was a pleasant surprise for me, and the way they made it look like a career ender only adds to the aura of Lesnar, putting Triple H on the shelf and making HBK look like a frightened child who also gets put out of action less than a week ago.

Forget the old Lesnar coming back with a repertoire like years ago, it simply isn't going to happen, I'm not sure of he even has it in him anymore. But a dominant performance with a surprising finish, setting up different possibilities moving forward, I'll take that any day.

1. The fact that it's 2012 and it's a pleasant surprise that HHH lost to possibly the biggest draw in MMA history should tell you a lot.

2. Lesnar was an animal vs. Cena. Here, he looked like a wrestler instead of a fighter, which is the complete opposite of the promos he did before the Cena match.

But what possible scenario does Lesnar have to go with? They arent just gonna let him go around 'breaking' all the top stars arms... will they? They have to have a credible threat to go against Brock and the number of superstars left is slim. So he just goes away again and pops up in 2 months? They arent going to insert him into a title picture and that leaves little for him to do. So he shows up every other week and beats someone up until a big name stops him... Not many names on that list.

Plus they have to have someone decent on the mic to counteract Heyman. That list is slim as well.

I think lesnar needs a smaller feud now just to put him over a little bit more. I'd personally like to see him go against mark henry.

I saw Lesnar continously working the arm. Which makes sense since it was supposedly recently broken and very important when locking in a pedigree.

Lesnar can't show off too much. The idiots fans will start cheering for him.

By that logic, Lesnar looks even more inept, as it took about ten tries to get the hold to work and he fell victim to two Pedigrees anyway.

It's a feud involving HHH and Shawn. You really think it's going to last one match?

Survivor Series....and yeah I know it would never happen

Huh? What? I haven't been able to keep up with three hours of Raw every week. Last I saw Lesnar quit and then Heyman agreed that Lesnar would fight HHH once, not fulfill his WWE contract.

Did I miss where he was back to being a WWE Superstar?

He showed up on two of the last three Raw's, the most recent one being where he injured Shawn badly. Shawn on Twitter tonight: "I don't think I'm comfortable with this ending like this."
