West we have

1 Spurs vs 8 Mavericks
4 Houston vs 5 Portland
3 Clippers vs 6 Golden State
2 Oklahoma City vs 7 Memphis

East we have

1 Pacers vs 8 Hawks
4 Chicago vs 5 Washington
3 Toronto vs 6 Brooklyn
2 Miami vs 7 Charlotte

I'd be pretty happy if the Bulls could somehow pull this off.
I'm pretty happy with the teams in the bracket this year.
There are plenty that wouldn't bother me if they were to win.

Every series besides the Miami/Charlotte and Spurs/Mavs have the potential of an upset. Fun first round if ever.

Hawks play five 3 point shooters which can force the Pacers to go small. Right now they are on course for the 3rd 1st game upset of the day leading in the 4th.

Of course one game don't make a series and adjustments will be made and the deeper better teams usually win but upset games make it fun to watch.

How horrible has the Pacers been in the 2nd half? 18 points down in the 4th.
And how bad were the calls on Blake in the Clippers/Warriors game?

Pretty much every series has been entertaining thus far. Even Heat/Bobcats. Of the high seeds down 2-1, Toronto probably is the least surprising, but Indiana I think is a favorite that is in the most trouble. Don't think they make it back to ECF.

Even though I'm a Bulls fan I'll be kind of disappointed if Indiana doesn't make it to the next round. I was hoping at some point to see a Bulls/Pacers match up just because a friend of mine is a big Pacers fan and I wanted to have a fun little rivalry.

I intended to watch more of the playoffs but haven't really seen much.

Pacers down 6 at half. Not good.

Seriously think the Wizards are going to make it to the ECF on that side.

There has to be more NBA fans on the forum right? The playoffs have been very entertaining. Every series has been great! Watching Thunder/Grizzlies right now. It's been so good.

This has been the most exciting 1st round of matches since a long time.

Rockets/Blazers series has been spectacularly good and bad at the same time. 3 OTs in 4 games. Horrible calls in almost every game for both teams. Superb individual plays matched by horrible individual mistakes, sometimes in the same game by the same players. Lin cost the Rockets in this game 4 with that costly turnover at the end of regulation. Daniels' 3s have given Rockets hope but they couldn't keep their turnovers down and Harden's horrible series is costing the Rockets. Harden/Howard pick and roll would kill the blazers but somehow both seem reluctant to play that all the time. LA has been unstoppable at times, 2 bigs coming at him and he still make the long jumpshot.

PS: Rockets/Blazers message boards have been a hoot. Lin fans are so cult-like I feel like I'm in a wrestling forums when I read their comments. They remind me of CM Punk fans so much.

OKC/Grizz series is ridiculously close. Freaking crazy. Last tip that went in just 0.1 sec too late would have flip game 5. Durant missing a crucial FT at the end of another OT game. Crazy crazy series.

Oklahomans; these days, no in Oklahoma knows how to execute.

Omg Lillard. What a shot. Wow. I wanted this to go to game 7 because of how entertaining it was. Wow.

That 4th quarter was incredible.

Seriously. This has to be the best first round I can remember.

We have what, 5 Game 7's this weekend now?

It's amazing. The west has been highly entertaining. Pretty much every team with 50+ wins. As a Thunder fan, I'm letting out a big sigh of relief as Randolph got suspended for game 7 and Conley will be limited. We probably would have won regardless, but that basically seals it up for us.

Got all the home teams winning today. If I had to rank the odds of the upset happening, it'd be Warriors, Hawks, then Grizzlies. If Z-Bo wasn't suspended and Conley wasn't hobbled they'd be #1, but Z-Bo was their most consistent offensive guy. Hawks could pull the upset off if they get hot from three because it's not as if the Pacers have run away with any of these wins they've gotten. Warriors because they're the best team of the three (when you factor in what Memphis is missing) and Steph could always pull one out of his keister. Think CP3 will have a big game, but you never know.

Crazy playoffs so far, and one of the best starts to a postseason in recent memory. 5 of 8 first round series going to a game 7 and we were seconds away from all 4 Western Conference series going 7 games.

Gasol's been on fire. The league better give Kevin Durant the MVP trophy before the Thunder lose.

The Grizzlies are a very fun team, even more right now. Theyre playing with a "nothing to lose" mentality, and teams with that mentality can be very dangerous. This would be one of the bigger upsets I've ever seen if they pull this off.

What a first half. Westbrook is killing his team yet again with the shots he's been taking. He needs to play like he did in game 6 where he distributed the ball more while still taking some shots, less shots that is.

Very good series. Gotta wonder how the game would've been if Randolph was able to play. But Westbrook and Durant were connecting on all cylinders this game. This is the way Westbrook needs to play, setting up his teammates.

And now we move on to the best game left. Let's go Warriors!
