I can do whatever I want
The much music Video Music Award nominations were announced today. And while they are not as prestiges as they were in the past, and MTV doesn't play music videos hardly anymore their are seen in the industry as the primary video awards.

The most nominated artists are Lady GaGa & Beyonce tied with 9 nods a peice. With Beyonce's "Single Ladies" being the most nominated video with 9 nods(Lady GaGa has 2 nominated videos). Britney Spears, Eminem, & Kanye West also got alot of nominations.

I know most of the posters here don't give two flying shits about these awards or these artists but if any do what are your thoughts? Yay or Nay at the nominations? Who were snubbed? Who will win!

OMG! Beyonce has 9 nominations! I'm so happy about that! Single Ladies had the most impact of all the videos, so it deserved the nods! She better win a shit lot! But with the fans voting, I think she will get snubbed for alot! Nice to see Britney nominated again, and I hope Kings of Leon win Best Rock!

Video of the Year
Beyoncé — "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)
Eminem — "We Made You"
Lady Gaga — "Poker Face
Britney Spears — "Womanizer"
Kanye West — "Love Lockdown

I would vote for Eminem as I'm a huge fan. I loved the video as well even though the song is probably the worst on the whole album but the video was fun and it was a good track to come back with, get everyone back into it with more of a poppy sound than usual. Eminem gets my vote here.

Best Male Video
Eminem — "We Made You"
Jay-Z — "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)"
Ne-Yo — "Miss Independent"
T.I. (featuring Rihanna) — "Live Your Life"
Kanye West — "Love Lockdown"

See above...

Best Female Video
Beyoncé — "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"
Kelly Clarkson — "My Life Would Suck Without You"
Lady Gaga — "Poker Face"
Katy Perry — "Hot N Cold"
Pink — "So What"
Taylor Swift — "You Belong with Me"

Pink all the way. I can't stand Beyonce or Lady Gaga (sorry M_F:)) but Pink is pretty cool. I would definatley go with her. Her video's are always entertaining and her songs are alright to listen to considering I'm not really into her sort of music. She is huge in Australia at the moment.

Best New Artist
3OH!3 — "Don't Trust Me"
Drake — "Best I Ever Had"
Kid Cudi — "Day 'n' Nite"
Lady Gaga — "Poker Face"
Asher Roth — "I Love College"

Kid Cudi all the way. His video is fucking hilarious. This song was my ring tone for a while before I got Killswitch cranking (CM Punk's theme). Day n Night is a cool song with a sweet video and I think he'll be around for a while. 3OH!3 can suck my balls.

Best Pop Video
Beyoncé — "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"
Cobra Starship (featuring Leighton Meester) — "Good Girls Go Bad"
Lady Gaga — "Poker Face"
Britney Spears — "Womanizer"
Wisin & Yandel — "Abusadora"

Britney here for shear props on getting near naked, fuck she was looking damn hot in this video when she is in the sauna!!

Best Rock Video
Coldplay — "Viva la Vida"
Fall Out Boy — "I Don't Care"
Green Day — "21 Guns"
Kings of Leon — "Use Somebody"
Paramore — "Decode"

I would have said KOL when the album first came out, I was a fan before the latest album but the radio completely killed their new shit for me so I can't stand it at the moment. I liked Coldplay's feel but Paramore really surprised me with how much I enjoyed the song, I'm a Twilight fan too so I'll probably go with either Coldplay or Paramore here.

Best Hip-Hop Video
Eminem — "We Made You"
Flo Rida (featuring Kesha) — "Right Round"
Jay-Z — "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)"
Asher Roth — "I Love College"
Kanye West — "Love Lockdown"

Eminem, but I wish he had his other stuff nominated instead of We Made You.

Breakthrough Video
Anjulie — "Boom"
Bat for Lashes — "Daniel"
Chairlift — "Evident Utensil"
Cold War Kids — "I've Seen Enough"
Death Cab for Cutie — "Grapevine Fires"

Major Lazer — "Hold the Line"
Matt and Kim — "Lessons Learned"
Passion Pit — "The Reeling"
Yeah Yeah Yeahs — "Heads Will Roll"

Haven't really heard too much about any of these except my mate raves about Cold War Kids so I'll go with them.

Britney Spears — "Circus" (Director: Francis Lawrence)

I hate to say it but Beyonce just because that video probably took a lot of work to get the coreography right.

Britney.

I really wish Eminem had better songs from Relapse nominated coz We Made You is pretty shit compared to the rest of the album... Oh well I'll still watch it it's been a tradition the last few years so I'll get stoned watch it and then be dissapointed...
