Thoughts/Queries/Questions?

I started doing that, but then I stopped when I remembered how little intrest I'd show in the finished threads.

I hate trying to compile lists.

Quite some good names on the list, in specific : Breaking Benjamin, Eminem, 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park and Metallica

All thou I must admit (not trying to in any way offend your choice of music, this is merely my personal opinion) that there's some songs or band choices which I would find lacking interest in if this was my personal playlist, such as (again personal opinion) "How to save a life - The Fray"

But otherwise a fairly well list, any reason for some of the choices if I may ask? such choice as Linkin Park - Hands held high?

Yeah, I had to come back to it once or twice to get it done. I generally hate compiling lists but I did it for a favour to TM. I started it yesterday and then finished it today. Plus, it is a pain in the ass trying to determine whether you like a certain song better than another. That's the reason why I didn't number it.

The Fray's "How To Save A Life" is an amazing song. It was when it was released and I still listen to it frequently. I think I know the reason why too. There is a fantastic episode of Scrubs that makes use of the song. I already liked the song but just the way it was used in Scrubs cemented it as one of my favourites.

"Hands Held High" just has a fantastic message in it and so many deep lyrics. I don't care much for the trashing of the American Government but I just like how 'close' the lyrics are. Makes it seem more real. Plus, it is one of very few slow Linkin Park songs and that took me by surprise a little.

I couldn't agree more, I love all the stuff Linkin Park did with Minutes to Midnight, yet I can't help the fact that their previous Nu Metal things with songs like "Lying from you" or "In the end" just keeps me being a fan, Hands Held High does not, It's a song I would spend my time listening to because I am already a fan, not because I would like to become a fan.

Far too much rubbish in there. Far too much Arctic Monkeys and Beatles. I just went down my itunes and picked a list and put a few songs ahead of others. It's an impossible task. Also, the numbers were lost in the editting process. So I don't know which was my top choice.

Just reading Mantaur's list made me realise I forgot B.O.B, Placebo, The Strokes and The Stones and Animal Collective. Definatly got a lot of stuff here that I would be putting in if I was doing my top 200. I like how Dave stuck to his likes and put lots of stuff by the artists he really likes :)

I am actually surprised that no one else has listed The Offspring. I love that song. It's so get up and go. I actually am very happy with my list. I just went down my most played songs on my iTunes and picked out the ones that I thought were my favourites and not just fleeting likes. For example, the song at the top of my iTunes play count is "Look For Me" by Chipmunk. However, I never listed it because I only liked it for a while and then went off of it. The songs I listed are ones that I could be listening to in 10 years time. Still, I am the only one to list Biffy Clyro and Glasvegas which is not surprising but saddening.

B.O.B. would for sure be ranked high on my (real) list as well. I love that song so much, definitely one of the best singles ever.
