I'm excited as hell for this year's season, I'm telling you right now the Patriots are winning it all once again. With Randy Moss on their already stacked team how can they not? They consistently kick ass every year, and Tom Brady is without a doubt a future Hall of Famer. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, being a Pats fan since I was old enough to walk(long before the bandwagon started and everybody became a Pats fan overnight because of their Super Bowl wins---I stuck with them long before that, back in the old days when they had the red uniforms. I still remember watching the 97 Super Bowl with the Pats vs. Packers and breaking half of the things in my house in anger) but the Pats never the less are going to dominate this year, I guarantee it.

I feel like Moss is finally going to mature on a team like the Pats---New England is a much different team then any other, they won't tolerate any bullshit whatsoever like some teams will (How anyone can have TO on their team is beyond me) the second he starts getting arrogant and acting like he's better then everyone else he can kiss his ass goodbye, we did the same to Terry Glenn when he started getting to big in the head. Thats another thing I love about the Pats---they're a real team, not like some of the teams out there who just seem like good players lumped together with mediocre ones, all trying to up their personal stats. I'll never forget when the Eagles came out for the Super Bowl one at a time, each player being announced like every other team has done, then the Patriots all came out together, none of that spotlight hogging crap.

Anyways, we'll just have to wait and see how this season is shaping up.

I'm excited as well for this up and coming season as my 49ers are looking to have a break out year this year. Frank Gore had a break year last year and I can not wait to see what he does this year as this could a MVP type of year if he continues to progress like he did the last couple years. He just needs to cut back on the fumbles and as he is like a new younger LT as he can run and catch the ball. Alex Smith is getting better and each he continues to grow but when you have Frank Gore in the backfield to hand the ball off too you don't have to throw that often, but e doe shave Vernon Davis and a decent Wide outs.

But how about that new defensive we got as we did add Nate clements as out top VB as we needed a shut down corner. But Patrick Willis in the draft was a nice addition and if we can keep working on our defensive we go from the bottom half to at least the top 15 be great. As our conferenc eteh NFC is not that strong and we could get some wins as well as the NFC west is not that deep and the so called top team the Seahawks we beat them both times last year so we have a good shot at even winning the division. So i think we will go 9-7 and make the playoffs as a wild card team

but damn Pats i hope the Colts beat them as i despise Tom Brady and his crew lol

The only team that is going to be winning in Arizona in February this year is going to be non other then the Cincinnati Bengals. Carson Palmer is going to have a full year now after the knee injury. The guy has a canon and the weapons to launch the ball too.

The circus side show looks to have calmed down with all of the arrest. We have sured up all of our holes on defense, and with Oddell Thurman returning, well that's damn scary. Hopefully Chris Henry can keep his head out of trouble, and when he comes back, oh boy, look out. His touchdown per catch ratio is absolutely insane. No disrespect to the Pats, but the Bengals have the best wide receiving core in the league. Chad Johnson, TJ Houseyourmomma, and Henry. The Bengals offense may only be second to the Colts.

The Defense is going to be the big question mark, but adding Leon Hall to the team is going to help big time in the secondary. Hmm, So the Bengals have the Pats on Monday Night in week 4, and AJ, the Bengals are at San Fran for a Saturday Night Game, oh the shit talking that will go on.

Im a Seahawks and Browns fan and I'm excited for both.

The Seahawks I think will once again win the NFC West. The only reason their record wasn't great last year was Alexander the Great and Hasselbeck being injured. They wouldn't have lost to the 49ers last year if they were healthy so don't say how impressive they were last year beating the Seahawks when their injured. I think the biggest challenge to them in the West is the Rams and the 49ers will be disappointing and the Cardinals will once again suck but they'll be a little better. I think the Seahawks will win the SUper Bowl but this is probably a biased opinon (but so have all of these posts so far.)

The Browns had a great draft. I was so excited for my hometown team to FINALLY have a good future with the expansion Browns team (I still hate Art Shell and the Ravens.) Brady Quinn will turn out to be a great quarterback and Joe Thomas will really help our offensive line. We made alot of moves for the offensive line and once LeCharles Bentley is back it will actually be a very good offensive line. We helped our secondary in the draft and hopfully there are less injuries to the secondary so that our defense can be pretty good. I think they'll be 7-9 and have last in the AFC North with the Ravens unfortunatly winning it. But the Browns will win it in 2 seasons I think.

This thread I think will be filled with biased opinions saying how their team will be really good like mine and the posts before.

lol This entire thread is going to be "YOUR TEAM SUCKS, MY TEAM RULES!" rofl.

So lets begin...

First off (and of course this is all in good fun, no offense meant by anything I say) the fucking BROWNS?! Dude...the Browns couldn't make it to the Super Bowl if they had Jesus Christ as their QB, they are without a doubt the worst team in NFL history and the laughing stock of the entire football world. Though I'll admit, they did have a damn good draft, but usually all that means is that they'll have some good players in a couple years. Still, the Browns will be lucky to win even 5 games this year.

The Seahawks...now they are a threat. They've got one of the best players in the league in Shaun Alexander (as well as Hasselback) and if they don't get any injuries and can maybe get another good defensive end, they will definately be a big threat to the NFL this year.

As for the Bengals...always been one of my top 3 teams since I was a little kid. But I honestly can't see them even making it to the playoffs this year. Palmer has a bad attitude and if TO has tought us anything its that players with bad attitudes don't get shit done for their teams. Plus, the Bengals are in deep need of some good defensive players, they're team is pretty lopsided in terms of offense vs. defense IMO.

Man the NFC though...their the freakin JV league of Football (kinda like the East in the NBA). They've got some great players and some good teams, but overall they almost never deliver. The AFC has always been where the best teams reside, and that'll be no different this year.

And I can understand why ya hate Tom Brady AJ, what with all those shiny rings on his fingers :D

Ahhh...now that I'm done teasing everyone, I'll leave.

I didn't think Browns fans even existed. But they did have a pretty good draft. I'm a Jaguars fan, and I have a good feeling about this year. We finally have a healthy QB in Byron Leftwich. Our running game is going to be insane. Fred Taylor is going to be as good as always, Maurice Jones-Drew had one of the best rookie years for a running back of all-time, and Greg Jones will be back healthy as well. The only thing I'm concerned about offensively is the WR. We aren't really too strong there, but hopefully they'll continue to develop.

Defense is where the Jaguars shine. We have the best DT in the league with Big John Henderson and Marcus Stroud. Reggie Hayward and Mike Peterson will be back form injury, so nobody is gonna be able to run the ball against us. Reshean Mathis is one of the best CB in the AFC, and Brian Williams is a solid CB on the other side of the field. The only question mark on the defense is safety. The Jaguars released Donovin Darius, and are now left with young players. Gerald Sensabaugh is gonna be on Monday Night Countdown's jacked up and least 5 times, and first round draft pick Reggie Nelson is gonna be a beast.

Overall, the Jaguars should have a pretty good year. They should be able to challenge the Colts for the division crown, but I'm not sure if we're there yet.

I can almost guaran-damn-tee I'll be the only, if not one of the only, Skins fans here. Personally, even though they were -horrid- last year, I'm looking forward to this year. I honestly haven't kept up with who's doing what this year, but I'm interested to see how Campbell will handle himself. Brunell was good and all, but he just wasn't fast enough. Then again, the linemen weren't helping him much.

All I can pray is for Randle El, Cooley, Portis, and Moss to stay healthy this year.

Anyways, we'll just have to wait and see how this season is shaping up.

It's great to see we got a Patriots fan in here representing, i came to talk some football and praise my Pats but i think you pretty much summed it up for me xfearbefore.

I can't wait for this season either, it's going to be unreal with all the good players the Patriots signed in the offseason, i'm more excited then when we actually won those superbowls. This may seem like an unlikely prediction but i think we are going 16-0. We went 14-2 with a lot less talent. So i think it's do-able. For all the people that hate on the Patriots because they are boring, i think you can throw that out the window, your going to see some highlights this year. I can just hear it now on sportscenter. Brady to Moss! Brady to Moss! Going to be awesome.

i think its almost impossible to NOT think that the pats will win it all this year. Im really interested to see how Vince Young is going to do this year. I dont think his passing is gonna improve much since he doesnt have any good receivers to throw to, but he's exciting to watch

Vince Young is a joke. He is absolutely terrible. He threw more interceptions than touchdowns last year, and people still say he's good. That surprises me. Whenever he played a good defense, he was absolute crap. He should not have won the ROY award, it should have gone to Maurice Jones-Drew. He was in the top 5 in touchdowns, had nearly 1,000 yards rushing while splitting time with Feddy T., and scored the 2nd most touchdowns by a rookie in NFL history. He was head and shoulders above Vince Young.

Offensive Line: Worst to First?
LeCharles Bentley headshot

The news from LeCharles Bentley has the Browns thinking of having a world-class line...

The Browns' offensive line, one of the worst in the NFL for years, has the potential to be one of the best in the league this season if LeCharles Bentley can accomplish his goal of making a comeback from a severe patellar tendon injury.

Since February, Bentley had kept the Browns in the dark on his plans for 2007; he might undergo another operation, or he might play on the left patellar tendon torn on the first play of training camp last summer. On a day when most people were planning Fourth of July picnics, Bentley called coach Romeo Crennel to say he will be in uniform and ready to go when the Browns open camp July 27. Bentley said Crennel was 'shocked.'

"It's unbelievable how far I've come in the last few months," Bentley told the Associated Press in a phone interview from Arizona, where he has been training the past few months. "I feel so blessed to even be in a position to think about playing again. I've come so far. I'm not going to stop now."

Bentley said he has undergone four operations since being injured. The last two were to clean out a staph infection that was so serious doctors considered amputating his left leg.

Dr. Russell Warren, the Giants' team physician, performed the last surgery and told Bentley another one might be needed in early June. Warren decided not to do a fifth operation.

Bentley still has to pass his physical with the Browns before he can participate in training camp. But if he does get the go-ahead and plays without further injury, the Browns' offensive line will have been transformed overnight by football standards.

The 2007 offseason began with the signing of guard Eric Steinbach in free agency. The Browns used the third overall pick in the draft on left tackle Joe Thomas. Bentley was the Browns' top free agent signing last year after inking a six-year, $36 million contract to anchor the line at center, but never got the chance to play for his hometown team. Also, right tackle Ryan Tucker is back, fresh and ready to play after missing the last five games of 2006 with a mental disorder.

"I'm sure people still don't know if I'll be back, and it's still probably going to be a little wait and see," Bentley said. "But if I play one more snap, that's one more snap than a lot of people ever thought I'd play. People are quick to want to kill a dream. But a lot of work and a lot of prayers later, I'm ready to play again. I've been blessed."

ATTENTION ON ANDERSON: Toward the end of minicamp Coach Romeo Crennel announced Derek Anderson was throwing the ball better than any other quarterback the Browns have. The declaration does not mean Anderson is the starter, but it acknowledges he is in the mix. That alone is enough to make Anderson smile.

It is easy to push Anderson aside as 'the other quarterback' after Charlie Frye, the incumbent, and Brady Quinn, the ballyhooed rookie from Notre Dame taken with the 22nd overall pick in the draft. Dismissing Anderson as just a training camp arm would also be a mistake.

Anderson finished the game against Kansas City last season when Frye suffered a wrist injury. The Browns won in overtime on the strength of an improbable 33-yard run by Anderson. It was the Browns longest run from scrimmage all season. Anderson started the next three games, and although the Browns lost them all, Anderson did enough to be part of the quarterback competition in training camp.

"I'd say my chances of starting are good," Anderson said at the conclusion of minicamp. "That's just my sense. I think they're going to give us an equal opportunity. Whoever performs well and moves the team the best is going to be that guy."

The quarterback running offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski's scheme will have to make quick decisions and hit the receiver on timing routes. Both are strengths of Anderson.

The biggest negatives for Anderson in his brief time last year was he threw seven interceptions and, his long run notwithstanding, was not as mobile as he would like to be. He worked on agility drills in the offseason to avoid the pass rush better. If he is the starter it would follow that he would get more practice time, and that should cut down on the interceptions.

"With my limited mobility, throwing on time is obviously part of my thing," Anderson said. "Making those timing throws and getting the ball out on time helps the whole system. I think I do a pretty good job of that most of the time, and I'll keep working on it."

Anderson is in his third season with the Browns. The Ravens drafted him in the sixth round in 2005 and waived him Sept. 20 of his rookie year with the intent of putting him on their practice squad. The Browns claimed him on waivers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow, if LeCharles Bentley even comes back for the Browns at 80% of the players he once was, that really could make the Browns's offensive line an top 5 line in the NFL. They should be interesting to watch this year, barring any injuries.

NAPA, Calif. (July 31, 2007) -- The NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Oakland Raiders are prepared to sign Daunte Culpepper to a one-year contract -- assuming all goes well when the 30-year-old quarterback works out for the team.

Culpepper held a private workout for a member of the Raiders' personnel department July 30 in Florida and did well enough there to persuade the team to fly him out to California for an additional workout

"Anytime that we have a chance to investigate something that can help our team win, were going to do it," Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said. "Obviously Daunte is something that we've been looking into for a little bit. This is kind of the climax of it, working him out."

Culpepper began 2006 as Miami's starter but had trouble with his mobility and was sacked 21 times in the first four games. The Dolphins shut him down so he could continue rehabbing and eventually placed him on injured reserve. When they acquired Trent Green in a trade with Kansas City this offseason, Culpepper became expendable.

The Dolphins tried unsuccessfully to trade Culpepper a year after acquiring him from Minnesota. When Miami could find no takers, the former Pro Bowl quarterback was released on July 17. Culpepper met with Tampa Bay two days later but did not receive a contract offer.

The Raiders have an interest in Culpepper in part due to the holdout of No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell. Russell has yet to sign a contract with Oakland, and Kiffin indicated negotiations between the two sides had slowed.

Kiffin acknowledged that Russell's situation was a precursor to bringing Culpepper in for a workout.

"Sure it is," Kiffin said. "You've gotta protect your team (and) put yourselves in the best position to win and make sure that you have the right depth and competition at each spot."

From NFL.com

Well Daute seems to have found himself a new home in Oakland. Not a bad move by the Raiders with Russell holding out. I doubt Daunte will be anything close to what he was 2-3 years ago because a Torn ACL is a terrible injury and he struggled badly in Miami. I'm sure he will get the back up job in Oakland. I still see Russell starting when signed but Culpepper might contend. Walter isn't anything special and won't be starting. Oakland will still be terrible this year IMO but this adds depth in the QB spot..

Well I am a patriots fan but im not making any guarantees about this season the afc is tough and we have a rugged schedule but with that said im real excited not just for the pats but for the NFL season god damn its been too long without football pats got moss stallworth thomas and the addition I like most is welker hes a younger troy brown and brady is gonna love him outta the slot otherwise some great games are happening other than pats games like in week one you get saints and colts and bears and chargers anyways I think the afc is gonna come down to new england and san Diego I dont think the colts cuz they lost cato june jason david mike doss and the biggest one in my opinion Tarik glenn whos gonna protect peyton now from his blindside as Shawne Merriman and Adailus Thomas are closing in on him cant wait for the season

ok 4 outta 5 did not work nope not 4 out of 6 either I got it 4 out of seven that must be it

I am so excited. The beginning of preseason is here. Get to see the young guys for the first time, and see who is gonna be making an impact. Jaguars first game is Saturday night at Miami. Been listening to a lot of David Banner, Jaguar fans will know why. I think we seriously have a chance to go deep in the playoffs, as long as Byron keeps improving and Meester comes back healthy.

i am really excited for this year early prediction fired up for another amazing season for the bears i got the pats and the bears in the super bowl bears win 21-17 now theres a champ i can support so much for cena/khali

wow and i thought GB was know just for cheese

:lmao::lmao:

I always thought Kennedy was the greatest thing outta Green Bay.

49ers...Playoffs...??? I don't know man.

All I know is my Cowboys are goin' all the way this year. Romo's going to have to learn how to hold on to the ball first.

Romo better hope that he can improve on what he did last year and my 49ers if Gore can do what he did last year and Veron Davis and Darrell Jackson do well we can do it. i say 9-7 for the 49ers

um 49ers will be a playoff team and trust me i know how to draft won league 3 years running now (usually win 3 out 4 leagues i play in a year)

it doesn't count when your the only person in your league, lol:p

and really the 49ers in the playoffs, really, well maybe they do have a pretty shitty division, granted not as shitty as the NFC Central, where the only team that poses any real threat to the Packers is Da Bears, and I think we could get by them, after all they are nothing but defense, the QB is an absolute joke, so don't be surprised to see the Packers in the playoffs, for Favres final season (maybe);)

No they're not, TO will sabotage the team like he did in Philly, and SF, that's what he does

TO is what Skip Bayless calles him Team Obliator's and well sorry Cowboys no trophy this year

i say 9-7 for the 49ers

Well with the divison. I think they got a pretty good shot at 9-7. Seattle is going to more than likely be back on top. Arizona has alot of talent but usually end up having a terrible year. St Louis is all about Stephen Jackson. They will have a shot at the wild card. As for Green Bay the divison is shit. Bears are the only good thing about the central.

I think we all can agree that the NFC is a joke of a conference as there are only a few teams that people will say hey the can go to the Bowl and that is The Seahawks, Saints, and Bears

out of those three teams Ilike to see the Saints go to the SB, I not too fand of the other two teams, though I wouldn't mind seeing the Cardinals big the big surprise team and shock the hell out of everyone, I'm tellin ya it's going to happen soon, like some time in the next 3-4 years

T.O. is alot similar to Trips. Take away the Backstage BS and the guys a good performer. I do agree with Bayless though. Skip tells it like it is.
