These two should not be compared in my opinion.


Raiders is my pick. I'm never liked Gonnies but maybe thats just me. I love Raider's and can watch it time and time again. I don't like Goonies and I believe I never will.

Raider's is the classic of adventure movies in my opinion and I believe it can go a little further.

Actually, they can be compared. The Goonies is basically a kids' version of Raiders. They both contain action and drama and baddies.

But Raiders is a true classic. It's essentially the greatest adventure film of all time. It's really a shame that none of the sequels really equal up to the original, although they aren't that bad, Raiders is just that good.

I will stab someone in the heart if they vote the Goonies in this one. God love the goonies, I do. It's another one of those 80's movies I grew up with, and most of my friends have. I've quoted the crap out of it, made someone do the truffle shuffle, yelled "Hey You Guys" like Sloth, and dreamt of a Goonies 2, but come on.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best movie of the 80's, it's the best movie of the 90's, it's the best movie of this decade, the 70's, and all decades before. Raiders of the Lost Ark is what I would call, the one and only perfect movie their is. It's the reason I became an Archaeologist, it's the reason I've travelled South America, and it's the reason for life. Raiders of the Lost Ark is awesome, and it's a shame that some haven't seen an Indiana Jones movie, a fucking shame and a half really.

I'm going to be crucified for this, but I didn't like Raiders. I watched it for the first time about 3 months ago (another crucifiction) and I kept waiting on it to become great, and I'm still waiting. It wasn't a bad movie, but I'd hardly call it great. Honestly i would call it overrated.

That being said, if Shocky stabs people for voting for the Goonies, I'll be the one holding the person's arms back. Goonies is an abomination of mankind to me. I cannot stand child actors in any way shape or form so this movie is the spawn of Satan himself to me. Raiders win, and hopefully send the Goonies back to hell where they belong.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark. I liked the Goonies, but it was just a fun little adventure for kids. Raiders is an all time classic. It's Indiana Jones for crying out loud. What more do you want? Strike me down if Goonies goes over here. I will help Shocky and Klunder stab people. No joke. Raiders goes over here, but I dont know if it will win the whole shebang. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Raiders of the Lost Ark gets my vote here. It is obvious why, RLA is the big brother of the goonies. Goonies was related to kids, RLA was for people over 14. It was a better movie by far, it had a better story, characters, directing, and acting. Goonies was good, but it was funny more than an adventure. Though I dont think it is the best movie of the decade, It will easily go over here.

As much as I love The Goonies, I'm convinced it's only a classic to the people who grew up watching it. It's a one off film, Jones is a series. It might have stood a chance against The Last Crusade, possible The Temple Of Doom. But not against Raiders.
