Two and a Half Men is great. The dialogue and characters are great. Charlie Sheen IS funny, just not on Spin City. Jon Cryer and the rest of the cast are great, too. It's also a ratings juggernaut being consistently on the top of the ratings for comedies during its run.

I voted for Black Books even though I've never heard of it. Two and a Half Men is the definition of overrated. People fawn over this show but it's one of the worst shows I've ever seen. I've given it chances to impress me but every episode has made me hate every actor on the show.

I have never seen Black Books. I do not need to however to vote for it here, because anything has to be better than that steaming pile of shit that is Two and a Half Men. Even as a big Charlie Sheen mark, I cannot in good faith attempt to say that show was anything other than crap. Oh how I fucking hate that show.

Black Books looks British I assume. Some Brit care to explain the summary of the show? Any good? It's getting my vote regardless.

Black Books is average at best. Granted Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey are funny as hell in it, they just dont have the power to compete with Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer. Two and a Half men is probably one of the funniest TV shows of this decade and thus deserves to go through.

X - Black Books was about 3 brits who worked in a book store. It was done by pretty much the same group who made Father Ted just not as funny. The guy with the black hair (Dylan Moran who later went on to be in Shawn Of The Dead) was the owner of the book store and was an alcoholic, he was pretty eccentric and a complete Nihilist. I recommend watching it for a few laughs

I thought Black Books was very good when I watched the first sereis on DVD, and it was filmed about 100 yards from my halls when I first joined university. I have actually walked past the shop and it looks the same in real life, weirdly. Two and a Half men is just one in a long line of dog shit American sitcoms that the Paramount Channel or whatever its called now fills its schedule with. I've seen funnier 1970s public safety videos.

Two and a Half Men, definitely! It is one of the funniest shows ever and one of the few shows from this decade that I really enjoy. It gets better with every season and I still find the reruns hilarious. I voted for Two and a Half Men because it's the best sitcom of this decade.

Two and Half Men is everything that is wrong with sitcoms and TV in general. I loathe it, and Black Books is very good. It's funny and not overly in your face and up your arse trying to make you laugh with obvious sex innuendos. All the jokes in Two and a Half men are awful repeats, and they ran out of interractions between characters about 4 episodes in.

Black Book all the way.

Black Books, though it shouldnt win, it is definately better then Two and a Half Men

I sincerely hope Black Books doesnt fall prey to a few ignorant people going "I havent seen this one but I will vote anyway because im a lazy slackass" as I have noticed happen to a few shows already on this.

I dont mind Two and a half men, but Black Books in its short career provided some hilarious moments, sometimes just through the chemistry of the three lead characters, it could be witty alot of the time but it also portrayed some of the best slapstick in quite a while. Its a show for everyone

I thought Black Books was pretty funny but I actually like Two And A Half Men. If I have a chance to watch it I will and I find it pretty funny as I don't think i've had enough exposure to it. Black Books is good but Two And A Half Men is better.

Why does everyone hate 2 1/2 men? It's actually a very good show and is quite funny. Charlie Sheen may be a ********, but he's funny. Jake was also cute in the first few seasons. Now he just looks like a fat, stinky, dork. I'm voting for it though as it's not as "overrated" as everyone here is saying.

Two and a Half Men is currently the funniest show on TV. It has a good episode every week and always has me laughing out loud at least once. It's witty, smart, and clever. No competition.

Ooh another potential tie-break here. Thats the second one tonight :p

No surprise to anyone that has seen it but I am voting for Black Books here. The first two seasons of it were easily some of the best comedy produced in the last couple of years. This was also the programme which first heralded (I think anyway) both Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran- two comics who I really like- Mr Moran especially. Bernard Black is such a funny character and everything is perfect in the programme from the theme tune down which immediatly suggests a seedy disorganised mess :p I would post clips but they don't really give a full essance for the sense of the show- but everyone who hasn't seen it I would advise them to immediatly remedy this :)

You best be trollin.

In no way is it witty or clever, simply playing on sexual innuendoes or the "dorkiness" or Jon Cryer's character. There is no subtle humour and nothing good about this show.

I thought I would be creative and vote against a sit com instead of for one. Then I realized everyone else did that. I can't stand two and a half men after trying a couple times of watching it. It's a horrid concept that isn't funny, and U hope it's not on the air anymore.

And you have the cheek to say this:

?

Two and a Half men is one of my favourite shows on TV at the moment, I love when a new season is released. I watch this show for an hour every night and it never fails to make me laugh. I love Charlie Sheen so much, and Jake was adorable. Their mother is a great actress, and I think this show should get A LOT further than this round.

I voted for Black Books.

I haven't seen as much of Two And A Half men as I would have liked to but i have seen quite a bit of it. Enough for me to form a conclusion about it and I must say that it isn't entirely positive. It is a good show and Charlie Sheen is pretty good in it. However, I find the show quite boring in some aspects and repetitive in others. I find the kid in it to be a fucking pain the ass and every time he appears on screen I want to boil my head in a bowl of acid. However, apart from that, I like it.

Black Books on the other hand, is fantastic. Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey are amazing and the show is just so innocently funny. I am voting for it here and you should too.

I loved Black Books, this was the show that introduced me to Bill Bailey, one of the funniest men in the world.

I feel Two and a Half Men is over-rated, I've seen a number of episodes, but it is just simply canned humour, it just feels like the shows that have come out that are ultimately unfunny but yet get over because the jokes are so easy to get, just feels like another Joey to me.

Black Books was original, witty and great for comic timing, if you are a true lover of comedy, you would and should rightfully vote for Black Books! One of the best thing about British Comedy is how you can put it in a limited space and let it rip, it's the opposite for TAHM, they try and expand and expand but it does nothing for me.
