Who Do You Think Of - WCW World Television Championship

Booker T doesn't really come to mind when I think of the WCW Television championship. His title reigns were, to be honest, largely lackluster. Two reigns lasted less than a day and were untelevised (Against Chris Benoit, before their best of 7 series), a pretty much forgettable feud with Rick...

Sam's Thread of Chattin' w/ Jake & Other Robust Subjects

I bought a packet of chocolate hob nobs the other day. They didn't last right long with my usual supper of tea and buttered crumpets while catching up on Coronation Street. They're pretty delicious when soggy.

Second Round: Miami - Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Arn Anderson

Anderson stands no chance against Liger here, though this would have been a delight to see. Anderson actually ranks among my favourite wrestlers ever. I don't really give a shit about the "predictable" argument; it doesn't negate from my enjoyment of watching him wear down his opponents with...

Second Round : Montreal - Sting vs. Steve Williams

I'm struggling to recall what the Lariat is talking about when he says these two wrestled each other; to my recollection it never happened. But if they did, I wouldn't doubt for a second that it was fantastic and that Steve Williams could have won the match. If Dr. Death wasn't going up...

    BFMV's new album..

I'd probably enjoy it if I liked a bunch of cheesy rehashed melodies on top of some of the most horrendous vocals ever, spouting out some lame bollocks about going insane and blooding boiling inside my veins. They used to be able to write somewhat decent, catchy riffs here and there. But I...

    General Tournament Banter

I pushed my hardest for Harley Race last year, and I still firmly believe he should have got past Bret Hart. With the influx of Harley supporters I'm hoping he can get further this time round. As usual, I'll be backing Sting, Terry Funk, Stan Hansen, Harley Race and Goldberg.

Who do you want in the WZ hall of fame?

Sting Harley Race Terry Funk Randy Savage

Which was the more prestigious midcard title in the 80s?

To be quite honest, this wasn't a hard choice at all. If we're just talking about the United States and the Intercontinental championships, then it's the US title no doubt. Better champions, higher quality of matches and much more memorable feuds. One thing I need to get out of the way is the...

Slyfox reviews the members of the forum

I'm intrigued, though I'm expecting a pretty low score due to inactivity.

Who's the hardest to earn rep from?

Me perhaps, considering I barely even post anymore. And I've had that glorious Slyfox rep on two occasions. It's beautiful.

Who is the Greatest NWA World Champion of All Time?

Harley Race. I wouldn't disagree with anybody if they said Lou Thesz, Dory Funk, Jr., Jack Brisco or Ric Flair as their cases are no doubt as stong as Race's. I don't really know what it was, but I was always more intrigued watching Harley wrestle than I was any of the others listed. Firstly...

Is Shawn Michaels the greatest all around wrestler of all time?

No, I don't think Shawn Michaels is the greatest all around wrestler of all-time. There's a few people I'd choose over him, and the one who comes to mind more than the others is Sting. Take a look at him from either a promoters aspect or a fans aspect - you couldn't ask for someone better. Take...

    MOSH PIT: The "Metalhead" Thread

Hey guys, it's been a while. Hope all is good with you and that the metal discussion here keeps going strong. Your thoughts on these two albums? Rust in Peace would rank among the best metal albums I've ever heard, probably top 5 no doubt. Endgame was a top 5 of '09 for me as well. Pfft...

    So.

The schedule for this month doesn't look too great, but there's quite a rare match up with Matsuda/Orton, Jr. over the NWA Junior Heavyweight title. Has to be from Matsuda's second reign around '75. Matsuda trained Orton, Jr. so my guess is that would be quite an interesting match to check out.
