Current

1. Triple H
The literal future of the business. He’s called the King Of Kings, but right now, he’s really the Prince of Princes until King Vince steps down.

2. Randy Orton
3. John Cena
The two “W”s in the WWE Logo, these are the faces of the WWE.

4. Big Show
5. Kane
6. CM Punk
The three Triple World Crown Champions…and they aren’t finished yet.

7. A.J. Styles
8. Samoa Joe
9. Abyss
10. Zema Ion
Total Non-stop Action / Impact Wrestling, the first 3 embody what that means, and the last one is there just cause he’s Filipino.

All-Time

1. Chris Jericho
Like you didn’t know I was going to pick him.

2. Stone Cold Steve Austin
3. The Rock
In my opinion, they are tied for second and thanks to the scoring system, they are.

4. Kurt Angle
5. Ric Flair
6. Hulk Hogan
In my opinion, Flair and Hogan are tied for the 5th spot, so this works.

7. Batista
8. Undertaker
9. Edge
10. Sting
This is where I had the most difficult time deciding. Number 7 is a lock, but the bottom 3 are pretty random picks for me. Never thought about an All-Time Top 10 as much as my All-Time Top 5.

My current top10.

But first, my top 5 guys on RAW, SmackDown & Impact...

RAW:
1: R-Truth
2: Dolph Ziggler
3: Kane
4: CM Punk
5: John Cena

SmackDown
1: Daniel Bryan
2: Mark Henry
3: Cody Rhodes
4: Wade Barrett
5: Sheamus

Impact:
1: James Storm
2: Bobby Roode
3: Jeff Hardy
4: Bully Ray
5: Austin Aries

Now my top10:
1: James Storm
2: Daniel Bryan
3: Bobby Roode
4: Jeff Hardy
5: R-Truth
6: Bully Ray
7: Mark Henry
8: Dolph Ziggler
9: Kane
10: Austin Aries

Why?
Since Bruce Prichard has taken over the reigns in TNA, I have felt that the World Title scene has been fantastic. After Victory Road did anyone foresee the four guys currently in the World Title plot? That my list is missing guys like Kurt, AJ, RVD, Sting or Anderson and I'm enjoying it more than I have in some time is a fantastic indication that they are moving away from the main criticisms of the past (illogical booking, hotshotting storylines etc). Austin Aries has been a shining light of making do with what you've got in elevating the status of the XDivision without facing anyone of real note - here's hoping that Shelley is the beginning off a major push (AJ, Kaz, Daniels, maybe even the new slimmed down Kurt).

Cena and Punk get low places on my RAW 5 and miss out on my top10 not really through any fault of their own but because I just have major problems with their current storylines. Poor John suffers in my eyes because I feel that every storyline that doesn't involve a certain Mr Johnson feels like filler; normally the Kane plot should run right into Mania but we know that the furthest it can run in HitC. Likewise I feel that Punk has been hurt with storylines were his superiors are more important to him than his opponents. On the plus side for RAW, I'm still loving Truth plus both Ziggler and Kane are doing great jobs despite the flaws I've described (I really hope both aren't dropped like bad habits as WM gets closer).

SmackDown suffers from a lack of main eventers, especially with Orton out of the picture. Daniel Bryan has been outstanding in his new role though and Mark Henry is still being treated as a monster so, even though I'm not overly enjoying Show's work at the moment (despite Sam's epic sig), the World Title story is still enjoyable at the moment. Cody continues his solid work with the IC belt and Wade Barrett and Sheamus appear to be getting solid pushes again.

All Time Top10:

1: Sting
2: Rick Steiner
3: Roddy Piper
4: Bobby Eaton
5: Fit Finlay
6: The Dynamite Kid
7: Jushin Liger
8: AJ Styles
9: Arn Anderson
10: Rick Rude

This list is a combination of the guys I used to watch on World of Sport who made it into the US scene and the guys I loved when I started watching WCW and the WWF. TNA is the house that AJ built and, as much as many malign it, I am extremely grateful to have it as an alternative.

Just to be clear, we're talking Top Ten in terms of our personal favorites right? I mean, I can understand that Hogan is the biggest, most influential name in pro wrestling history, and that Flair and HBK were probably the "best", but that doesn't mean that I HAVE to put them on top of my list, right?

And by "current" are we talking "who is the best right now on January 20, 2012", or out of all the people currently wrestling, who are our favorites? I only ask because it gets complicated. Triple H is one of my all-time favorites, but he's also a "current wrestler" by your rules. However, I don't think any of his work done in the last few years has been outstanding, so I hesitate to put him on my "current" list.

And yes, I have to complicate everything. I'm OCD about making these damn lists.

I don't see any fun in it if we end up with the same old names as always.
