What storylines did you think were the best ones?

Another great storyline was in 2001 during the Invasion when both Angle and Austin were fighting for the Love of Mr. McMahon and they both would hug him lol its was hilarious

Hogan and The Rock

that storyline was awesome how it started with a fued between them and a match at WM X8 then hogan left NWO and they were a tag team.i think there WM match is possibly one of if not the best match ever.

Mysterio and Guerrero

i'm not that big on the new wwe storylines as i am on :wwf: storylines but they had some great matches because they were wwe tag champs and knew each other so well that it was hard 2 get anything past each other

Hmm.. here a few of my favorite storylines, I haven't read everyone else's so it may already be listed:
The Ministry of Darkness era when Stephanie McMahon was getting kidnapped and Stone Cold saved her, lol
The Trish/Stephanie (who can forget when she walked in on Trish and HHH, and Trish was caught in a very surprising situation)
I loved when Edge & Christian had the kazoo and they would bother different WWE stars (Benoit, HHH) with their re-enditions of their opening song.. lol
Umm... Of COURSE DX and Vince McMahon & DX vs. WCW
Geesh... Stephanie pretending she didn't want to be married which turned into the Hemsley/McMahon era.
Eddie Guerrera and Chyna's mamacita, and latino heat.. lol
Vince McMahon/Stone Cold - that was lonnnggg though
Undertaker/Kane..

Geesh.. sorry I'm rambling now but to me WWE had some better storylines back in the day vs. now.
Oh.. and Mankind getting fired every other week, lol

The Trish/Stephanie (who can forget when she walked in on Trish and HHH, and Trish was caught in a very surprising situation)
I loved when Edge & Christian had the kazoo and they would bother different WWE stars (Benoit, HHH) with their re-enditions of their opening song.. lol

OMG... I just watched that clip of E&C today online when it was Edge's birthday and they were playing the kazoo! So funny! And then there was their rap. And I loved them all the way until their breakup... which broke my heart!

And wasn't it during the Trish and Steph feud that they had that fight in a barn? Or stable? Or something like that. Gross...

I loved anything involving Jericho vs. Stephanie. Those two were amazing together!!! Awesome chemistry and SOOOO funny! I adored them. I really hated it when they became business partners though. It just wasn't the same...

That was some of the funniest stuff in the world. I remember Jericho showed a before and after picture of Stephanie on the JumboTron from when she got her implants. He said "My hasn't our little girl grown." Thats probably one of the funniest things I have seen on wrestling. I miss Jericho so much. Please come back.

The Austin /McMahon fued was amazing and who could forget about it.It was just fun to watch Austin cause so much trouble and beat the hell out of him.

Another fued I loved was DX vs. the Nation of Domination.I loved when Dx just made fun of em all.Great times.

Their are two storyline that stick out to me that had me glued to WWF everytime it was on:

Stephanie McMahon-Hemsly/Corporate Ministry:

That was one of the best storylines I can remember. I don't remember exactly how the ministry formed. But I do remember WWF actually put time into this one. It went from Stephanie getting abducted, to marrying HHH, to Austin helping the McMahons, Vince turning on Austin, and the formation of the corporate ministry. It was like a whole bunch of story lines in one. The twist and longevity w/ fresh ideas made this one good.

The second one is The Rock w/ the corporate:

I also though this was a nice twist and long fresh line. The Rock was a great hated heel. He turned face, and right win everyone starts to really like him, bam, we get slapped w/ another heel turn.

My favorite storyline was Tommy Dreamer vs Raven. To me, it was the perfect storytelling. Raven always beat Dreamer, Dreamer for years couldn't beat Raven. The storyline brought in many other wrestlers and also had many branch storylines such as The Sandman vs Raven. They payoff was the best, with Dreamer finally beating Raven, to me, simplay the best. The WWE should have more storylines like this.

Honorable mention:
Sabu vs Tazz
Sting vs Hogan

After watching a lot of old WWF videos I'd have to say that the best storyline in my book would have to be the WWF vs the Alliance just because of how much the fans reacted to the whole thing not to mention that it was very well done

I'm a pretty young fan so sadly i missed out on alot of the WWF era fueds, however i've watched alot of the dvds and videos and the Austin/Mcmahon fights were just great.I really can't get tired of seeing that video with austin attacking vince in the hospital. But one of the favorite storys I witnessed was the conclusion of Evolution, with Triple H Vs Batista at wrestlemania. That story was pretty good, when they were constantly hinting at Batista becoming a good guy but still in evolution. Then finally, after months of hyping it seemed, Batista gave the thumbs down and attacked triple h for the first time. For me, that was one of the best. I also believed that Batista was in his best form then.

Here are some of my favorite fueds...

Hogan VS McMahon I can't believe no one mentioned this one yet. It was put together very well.

The rock vs Austin Their best match was wrestlemania 17. Whoever thought that steve austin would join forces with his long time enemy Vince Mcmahon.

Austin vs Mcmahon Anything with these two were good. My favorite moment was when austin came in with the beer truck sprayed it all over Mcmahon and his posse.

Kurt Angle/Stephanie/Triple H Triangle This was just flat out Hilarious. Triple H as the big intimidating heel and Kurt Angle playing the dork that was about to take his girl.

Shane Vs Vince/ Mcmahon Family fued This was just classic IMO. Linda's "nervous breakdown", Vince batteling shane, Stephanie tormenting her mom linda and having catfights with trish, trish turning on Vince. Just Classic.

Damn I miss the good ol' days :(

I loved when Edge & Christian had the kazoo and they would bother different WWE stars (Benoit, HHH) with their re-enditions of their opening song.. lol

E&C were great.

The Jericho - Steph moments were also amazing and The Rock - Steph pieces, who can forget the Special Birthday Song for Steph?

The Rock - WWE, The whole cocky Rock near the end of his run was classic. Playing his guitar and trashing the city they were in and making fun of he Hurricane and signing a DVD for Christian all funny moments

Kurt Angle and Austin trying to get Vince's love - The little cowboy hat!!!!

Austin vs Hart. I had a hard time believing WWF/E was kayfabe/fake.
I liked the segment where Hart threw Vince to the ground and shouted: "Frustrated is a god damn word for it, this is bullsh*t!!!" and then Austin got on the titanscreen saying Hart is a loser, a whiner etc.

To Me One Of The Best Storylines Was When Austin Got Hit By A Car He Comes Back n beats the hell outta everybody then we find out it's rikishi!!
Who The hell saw that cummin. After That Hime AND AUstin Had A pretty Good Rivalry

And The Rock Vs Triple h War Of 2000 Damn Those Dayz I fUckin DESPISED Triple h which tells You they did a good job with that storyline

Im just going to name 2 rivalies that involve my favorite wrestler

1) Undertaker and Mankind- During the late 90's i remember Mankind being teased with mind games. Who could forget the match when Mankind buried the Undertaker alive? Nobody could. It was supprising to see Goldust, Triple H, and other wrestlers help out mankind to bury deadman but he didnt RIP.

2) Undertaker and Kane- Brothers of Destruction. Their fued included a broken door off a cell, the introduction of the Inferno Match and the legendary match at Wrestlemania will never be forgotten.

Those to me are the best 2 rivalies that have ever been perfected.

For me it was the Austin/Mcmahon fued as i remember being a kid and always loved when Austin would stun or beat the hell outta him and spraying beer on the whole squad of Mcmahon.

As bean said the whole Rock heel turn during his final years was great i remember that one night in Toronto,Rock was pissing that crowd off pretty badly for turning on him against Hogan, then the nights he would go out and sing it was great and it was quite funny...theres plenty of great storylines that have happened espicially everything pretty much in the attitude era

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels was amazing, it didn't matter how many times they had a match, i would still want them to keep feuding, it just made perfect sense, they know they are each other's only true match. I honestly think you could put that match again and again when they both come back and people would still love it. I mean they can do the DX thing, but we all know it's heading back there at least once more before all is said and done. I think they should have their retirement match against each other for the title then vacate it of course.

Speaking of HHH well him and Jericho over Stephanie's honour was good. Kurt Angle and the love triangle was good also. Him and Austin didn't go long enough i don't think, i mean they tried to convey ALL this hatred and then end it in 3 months, NOT long enough, they have weaker storylines go twice that these days. His best one was against The Rock though, everything i said about HBK V HHH was true back then, they were the top 2 guys in the company back then and that was because they could draw ultimate face and heel reactions from the crowd. Everyone LOVED The Rock for cutting his insulting promos on HHH and Triple H just played dirty and used help to beat him down but then would bring his A-Game to their actual matches. Brilliant.

nWo was good at first but got VERY bad when they grew. Invasion was hit and miss, it was at it's best around Summerslam time when Rock came back and Angle and Austin were going at it every week but that was nowhere near as good as it should have been.

ECW did a suprisingly good job with their storylines, i mean look at Dreamer V Raven, Sandman V Raven, Sabu V Taz, RVD V Jerry Lyn and Tommy getting caned to a simply uncomfortable level. THAT was good tv.

I don't get to see TNA much so it's hard for me to evaluate and what I have seen started when Sting returned and then Steiner helped Jarrett beat him down onwards. I like the Abyss character with all the secrets they have with him and the way he constantly shifts allegence, makes you really buy his "monster" status. Mitchell's new monster is a cool idea but i hear it's a 6' Mexican submission specialist so i'm not sure he could actually wage war on Abyss in the Kane V Undertaker fashion people would hope.

Sorry to rant.

To me the best storylines were The NWO Storyline, Sting's transition during that storyline, and of course the McMahon/Austin feud.

Now I want to touch a topic that hasn't been touched. Storylines with great potential that were completely ruined by the writing staff. The WCW Invasion had me on the edge of my seat. It could have easily been the best storyline ever. But WCW and ECW were used as jobbers and their best guys weren't even in the storyline. Throw in The Outsiders, Sting, and Goldberg and that would have been near impossible for the writers to ruin it.

I also freaked out when Vince Russo jumped over to WCW. The first few shows were amazing since every single storyline involved was a brand new storyline. The New Breed could have really been something if it was done right. My personal favorite during that era was the Sting/Vampiro feud since they were my two favorite wrestlers. The whole world turned upside down at the beginning of that story. You didn't know who was a heel and who was a face until they made their intentions known one by one. But after a month the storyline turned to crap. It could have been great but it just fell short.
