Four for All

Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. WWE Champion The Miz & Alberto Del Rio ended in a No Contest
Just when it looked like Edge and Rey Mysterio were about to win their tag team main event with a 619-Spear combination, they were interrupted by the explosive entrance of the irate World Heavyweight Champion Kane. As the mayhem unfolded, the entire SmackDown locker room sprinted to the ring to try and separate “The Devil’s Favorite Demon” from The Rated-R Superstar. When The Big Red Monster broke free and tried to reengage his maniacal adversary, Edge Speared him to the canvas. The Big Red Monster’s SmackDown assault confirmed that the World Heavyweight Championship will be decided in a Fatal 4-Way TLC Match at this Sunday’s pay-per-view.

WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov def. Chavo Guerrero & Tyler Reks
With Tyler Reks at his side, Chavo Guerrero took on Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov in a tag team match for the second week in a row. Despite the unpredictable new partner, Guerrero once again fell to the Cobra, courtesy of Santino.

The WWE TLC Tag Team Tables Match Divas confronted each other
Michelle McCool and Layla came before the WWE Universe to officially protest their WWE TLC Tag Team Tables Match against Divas Champion Natalya & Beth Phoenix (Match preview), claiming the match was too barbaric to be “Diva.” Their pay-per-view opponents soon emerged, revealing a custom table with unflattering depictions of both members of Team Lay-Cool painted on it. When Michelle and Layla attacked, Layla nearly ended up suplexed into her gift. But, Michelle rescued her partner-in-flawless and the two quickly scrambled out of the ring.

WWE Champion The Miz def. Rey Mysterio
As Alex Riley was distracting the referee, an emerging Alberto Del Rio tripped up Rey Mysterio, nearly costing him his match with The Miz. While The Master of the 619 dished out retribution on his aristocratic adversary, The Miz regrouped. Mysterio went for the splash, but The Awesome One lifted his knees, paving the way for him to pick up the quick victory. After the bell, Del Rio attacked Mysterio, inciting Edge to take up the fight. The Miz got involved as well, convincing SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long to set up a tag team main event between the four Superstars.

“Dashing” Cody Rhodes def. Chris Masters
Successfully avoiding any direct blows to his handsome face, Cody Rhodes redeemed his Master Lock Challenge defeat one week ago, blasting Chris Masters with the Cross Rhodes for the victory.

Kofi Kingston & Kaval def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger
On Monday Night Raw, a Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match was announced for WWE TLC (Match preview). On SmackDown, Kofi Kingston triumphed over his pay-per-view opponents in tag team action, using Trouble in Paradise to overcome Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Swagger knocked his defeated bleach-blond partner to the canvas, making it clear that it will be every man for himself at WWE TLC.

Edge justified his recent maniacal actions
Edge came before the WWE Universe to explain his actions against Kane and Paul Bearer in recent weeks, saying that his goal was to get down to The Big Red Monster’s “evil” level and “face him at his own game.” The Master Manipulator then promised that the end will justify the means when he beats Kane this Sunday to become a 10-time Word Champion.

TLC master prevails

In a brutal battle with Kane, Edge, Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio all vying for the World Title, The Rated-R Superstar dethroned The Big Red Monster in a match format many describe as his specialty. In fact, it was Edge’ seventh time in a TLC Match and he was in the first TLC Match ever at SummerSlam 2000. On this night, Edge Speared Kane off the ring apron and through a table, allowing The Ultimate Opportunist to ascend a ladder and claim his prize. Throughout the bout, tables, ladders and chairs all came into play, as each Superstar used each weapon to his advantage. In one high-risk move, The Rated-R Superstar jumped from atop a ladder, crushing Kane through a table outside the ring. Showing no fear, Rey Mysterio utilized tables suspended from the ceiling to launch himself onto Kane. Ultimately, though, it was Edge who was able to absorb all the punishment thrown his way and go on to become champion. With Kane already rattled by Edge before WWE TLC, how will The Big Red Monster respond to having his title taken away? Plus with Paul Bearer’s heath in question, will the former champion wallow in self-misery, or will we see The Devil’s Favorite Demon sink to new depths of evil to regain what was once his? Not to be overlooked in the World Heavyweight Title picture history are Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio, who both had championship glory within their grasp in the TLC bout. What will they do next?

Fumble Finish

At WWE TLC, Dolph Ziggler retained his Intercontinental Championship over Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Ladder Match that ended in unprecedented controversy. With their golden prize glistening overhead, Ziggler, Kingston and Swagger fought tooth-and-nail amidst the unpredictable rungs of ruin, feverishly struggling to ascend a ladder before their opponents in order to snatch victory and ultimate glory. In the climactic moments, Kofi and Swagger both stood at the top of the ladder, simultaneously trying to yank the daggling title free. But, in a finish that left the WWE Universe completely breathless, the championship title suddenly broke loose, escaping both their grasps and falling to the canvas below. As time seemed to stand still, a scrambling Ziggler lunged for the gold, pulling it to his chest to steal the bizarre victory. None of the high-caliber Superstars had battled in a regular Ladder Match before tonight’s WWE TLC. However, their combined experience in Money in the Bank Ladder Matches – Kofi competing in three, Ziggler in two and Swagger not only taking part in one, but triumphing to win the World Heavyweight Title five days later – added tremendously experience to their already intense showdown. Each fierce SmackDown grappler also brought his own potential for mayhem into the ring. Kingston’s explosive high-flying style, as well as his ability to hit Trouble in Paradise from any position, seemed tailor-made for the high-altitude insanity of the Ladder Match. Swagger’s infamous ankle lock and an arsenal of technically superior maneuvers were second only to his ruthless nature. And, Ziggler possessed an increasing notorious sleeper hold and powerful Zig Zag. In addition to their tremendous skill, the incredible ability of all three Superstars to transform the simple climbing device into a weapon of “mat" destruction and a launching pad for outright chaos kept the WWE Universe on the edge of its seat from start to finish. With all the weapons that could play a factor in the outcome of the match, no one could have predicted that it would all come down to who had the surest pair of hands.

Starting off with a bang

Mere hours before he would step in the ring to face John Cena in a Chairs Match, Wade Barrett made his cruel intentions clear at the expense of Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov. Brutalizing the WWE Tag Team Champions with a steel chair following their disqualification victory over Nexus members Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel, the vicious Englishman sent a direct message to John Cena — their battle later in the night would be a war. The underhanded act was yet another example of the brutal lengths The Nexus is willing to go to in order to make an impact. After losing their WWE Tag Team Titles to Marella & Kozlov on the Dec. 6 edition of Raw, Slater & Gabriel should have been focused on getting their slimy hands back on the championships. But tonight wasn't about title glory, it was about putting fear into John Cena. With Nexus brutes Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty causing a disqualification after blatantly attacking Kozlov, the four members of the yellow and black horde immediately swarmed on the WWE Tag Team Champions and began to tear them apart. And then Wade Barrett entered. Stalking to the ring with a steel chair in his clenched fist, Barrett looked like a man intent on raising hell and did just that, battering the hapless tag team with vicious whacks from the chair. Standing above the fallen bodies, the Englishman exuded an air of supreme confidence that seemed to form a much-needed solidarity in The Nexus

Lay(-Cool)ing it all on the table

Divas Champion Natalya & Beth Phoenix defeated Michelle McCool & Layla in the first-ever Divas Tag Team Tables Match at WWE TLC. The tension among these pairs of best friends erupted in an intense battle, as the third-generation Diva & The Glamazon proved their bond is the strongest. Despite Lay-Cool’s efforts to level the Divas Champion with a double superplex, Natalya fought them both off and tossed them through a table. Moments after Natalya claimed the Divas Championship at Survivor Series, her friend, Beth Phoenix, returned, surprising the WWE Universe and Lay-Cool. The Glamazon proved to SmackDown’s resident “Mean Girls” that she’s back and poised to make an impact in the Divas division alongside her trusty pal, Natalya. However, Michelle McCool made a comeback for her squad, winning the Diva Battle Royal on Raw, securing the 2010 Slammy Award for Diva of the Year for herself and Layla. This earned the devious duo a spot in the historic Divas Tag Team Table Match against the Divas Champion & The Glamazon. But no Lay-Cool Slammy Award could stop Natalya from plunging both Michelle & Layla through a table. It was a moment that will live in infamy in Divas history; a moment truly proving that a twosome like Divas Champion Natalya & The Glamazon are unstoppable together, even when it comes to the once-dominant Lay-Cool.

Reactions: TLC
I'm hoping we see some Nexus action tonight!!! :worship: please baby jesus!! I want to see some Wade barrett come out and wail on someone tonight to exact revenge for Cena being so mean to him as Punk put it.

Apparently Kofi and Rey are teaming to face Del Rio and Swagger tonight.

Barrett should be off selling the beating Cena got him. Hope he doesn't show tonight.

yeah...you are right Coco. Call it my Heel faction withdrawal...

Although, it couldn't be too far off from having Otunga show up. Did I recall that I didn't see him from the screen shots I saw of TLC?? I do recall he looked pretty PO'ed about Nexus leaving him alone at the Slammy's and wouldn't be shocked if this is the dissension of the group. Seems like their time on Raw is done for now. More than likely we will see the re-match of Kane/Edge in some way/shape/form.

I wouldn't mind Barrett coming out wearing a fuckload of bandages and "not being medically cleared to compete". If nothing else it could give some hint of a direction for Nexus now that Cena's done with them.

Hell yes Remixie. Especially with Punk seemingly in his corner. You know he would have to go and F something up, against the Dolph-Vickie/Cena match. You know Dolph won't let Vickie in. Call it male pride. Dolph could be losing, and far be it from Barrett to maybe show up and cost Cena his match there. Then Punk 'possibly' show up to prevent Cena from touching Barrett if he's not 'cleared' yet. :scratchchin:

I assume this is also going to be the NXT LD? It comes on right after SD on nxt.wwe.com.

Color me happy that I'll be here to see the PBP for the SD live then go home and watch it on my tape. Then tomorrow watch the 2 hr Trib. to the Troops since I missed the initial showing the other night. :)

Do YOU Know the Enemy? I sure as hell don't, but apparently Green Day wants to know.

WE ARE LIIIIIIVE!

Matthews > Grisham. Not even close. Glad he's on SD now.
