So, three questions to answer:

1) Who/What got a much a deserved Emmy nomination?
2) Who/What didn't deserve an Emmy nomination but got one anyway?
3) Who/What got snubbed?

1) Who/What got a much a deserved Emmy nomination?

I would assume anything related to Lost got a deserved Emmy nomination due to the popularity of the show. I mean this forum has been buzzing around the series Lost. I haven't watched it but because of the sheer hype that I've seen it get I would assume an Emmy nomination is more than deserved.

2) Who/What didn't deserve an Emmy nomination but got one anyway?

While I know that the show is incredibly popular. I have never seen the hype or interest in the comedy series "The Office" and therefore if I had to scrap one thing I would definitely be scrapping that one.

3) Who/What got snubbed?

Again. While I don't know how popular it is anymore. And how active it is. I would assume due to the fact that Two and a Half Men has one nomination in the show. I simply cannot wrap my head around the fact that the show as a whole is not nominated among the Most Outstanding Comedy.

1) Who/What got a much a deserved Emmy nomination?

Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. It's about damn time, and Season 4 didn't even contain their best performances through the show's history. But whatever... they deserved it long ago and it's nice to see them get nominations. I doubt either of them wins, but regardless... I'm happy for them.

2) Who/What didn't deserve an Emmy nomination but got one anyway?

Honestly, I don't watch enough television to answer this, but I will say that The Closer sucks and so does Kyra Sedgwick in it from what I've seen of the show, so I don't understand how she got a nomination.

Also, no need to have two fucking Lost guys for Best Supporting Actor when you have....

3) Who/What got snubbed?

Zach Gilford for Supporting Actor Friday Night Lights. Not only should he have been nominated, but he should have fucking won. There was a humongous push from fans and media alike for him to get a nomination because of his phenomenal work in Season 4, and yet... they still ignored him. Fucking bullshit.

Also, would have been nice to see FNL get a Best Drama nomination, but I can live without that one (though they should have gotten it in Seasons 1 and 3, if you ask me).

So, three questions to answer:

1) Who/What got a much a deserved Emmy nomination?
Christina Hendricks in Mad Men. Submitting an episode which gave us a revealing look at the person behind one of the strognest personalities in the pool at Sterling-Cooper, she earned her first nomination.

2) Who/What didn't deserve an Emmy nomination but got one anyway?
Everybody on Glee, and the show itself.

Matthew Morrison is an empty smile and haircut. Nothing more.

Lea Michele wishes she could act as well as she can sing.

Jane Lynch's appeal would make more sense before Gregory House came and went (appeal wise).

I might accept Chris Colfer's existence. Maybe.

The show is too inconsistent to be a winner.

Even though very little in comedy appeals to me, I feel very strongly about this.

3) Who/What got snubbed?
Vincent Kartheiser on Mad Men. Pete >> Roger in every sense except for the ability to look good in blackface.

As for winners, I hope Breaking Bad takes the awards in Lead and Supporting Actor as well as Outstanding Series. For my money, Cranston chose the wrong episode, but that hasn't mattered for him in the past. Couple that with Aaron Paul and the series having strong submissions (anyone who got the tape with the two final episodes of BB and actually watched them HAS TO vote for the show), and I like the show's chances this year.

Mad Men slowed down in the third season, IMO, but I would still love to see Moss or Hendricks take the Supporting Actress award. Hamm has to be a contender as well because of a strong submission, but I don't know if such a quiet character can get him a well-deserved win.

Michael C. Hall has momentum, but he's not my favorite contender. Here's hoping he doesn't take Cranston or Hamm down.

Hugh Laurie gets the default nomination for the season opener, but anyone who watched the rest of the season knows it's not his year (They'd better know!).

Matthew Fox gets a default nomination because of Lost's last season, but I don't think he's a serious threat. If Gandolfini didn't bring it home for The Sopranos' last year, why should Fox get one over because his series ended?

On a random final note, January Jones for death. Please and thank-you.
