I know I'm kind of late on this, but this past Sunday, NBC presented the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards. Sometimes, the Golden Globe Awards will give us an indication on how things will play out at the Oscars. I don't follow too many television shows now a days, but the American Horror Story Asylum fan inside of me was pulling for Jessica Lange. But I actually took the time to watch Game Change on HBO a while ago, and I think I lot of people fell in love with the idea of a sympathetic approach to the hoopla surrounding Sarah Palin in the presidential election a few years ago.

Ben received some well deserved recognition. Plus, Daniel Day Lewis and Anne Hathaway were the clear cut choices for winners in their respective categories, so I'm happy they took home the gold.

All in all, it was a good show. I HONESTLY don't understand the fascination with Tina Fey, but she was an entertaining host. Although, the other blonde chick from SNL (I forget her name) was kind of annoying. I wish Sacha Baron Cohen was the other co-host, because he was more entertaining.

Jodie Foster delivered a heartfelt and emotional speech during her acceptance of the life time achievement award. Hugh Jackman told a nice story about his wife giving him an extra push during the rehearsals for Les Miserables, because at first, Jackman thought he bit off more than he could chew. And Daniel Day Lewis was in the middle of giving a good speech, but his time was cut short, because Jessica Chastain ate up a lot of time during her acceptance speech. And Jennifer Lawrence basked in the glory of beating Meryl Streep.

Also, Adele sparked an awkward moment during her acceptance speech. She took a snide shot at the Hollywood Foreign Press, but in all fairness, I'm 99% sure Adele was being sarcastic. But the crowd reacted to her comments, so she quickly apologized afterwards.
