MMA vs Wrestling type inVAsion story..!!

I know this is IF idea and what would happen type thread. Lately theirs been talk about maybe UFC/MMA fighters going after wrestlers vice versa. If this would EVER happen like between 2001 - present.!: Which fighters from the MMA world would you want to bring in to fight any PRO wrestlers.?! It would the ultimate InVasion MMA World vs Pro Wrestling/Sports Entertainment. All MMA fighters and Wrestlers are all legal.!

I made a small list of MMA fighters that I know and heard of. Lets just say only 20 to 25 best MMA fighters vs 25 Wrestlers.

How would you do it?

I would at least have least the MMA calling out the wrestlers to start it off. With a lot of hype and with no contact for at least few weeks just a lot of talk and stare downs. Then brawl starts off with certian fighters being in place or pick for their side to see which side is the better one. Of course no storylines just all straight up shooting and with no one knows who will win until the time is up or TKO.!

Who would you bring to the fight?

For me I can at least pick 17 MMA fighters but willing to change my pick or add a few people I don't know. I'm not matching them up just yet but listing folks who I would want to see during this inVasion if it ever or would happen any time soon.!!

The ones with * are of course maybe use or not. The ones with *^ could be on either side considering they done both.! I left Ken Shamrock off the list because I'm a fan of his even though he not that great anymore.! I think Ken should start off on the wrestling side back them up and then all of sudden turn on them like Steve Austin did. Let Ken go crazy like he did when he was feuding with Rock and Nation. Same could go with Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar but I think the MMA should automatic turn on Lesnar early in the stage with Team ANgle backing up Lesnar. Kurt and Brock would of course dominate either side.


The list can go on and on.!! Some examples but now matching the right guys would be a challenge and see which side would end up winning. The rules and challengs could be set for different match or ring settings. One match can be MMA rules the next ECW or WWE type rules.

Anything can or could happen.!


That's what I've come up with. I'm huge wrestling fan over MMA any day but just be interesting on if this would ever happen. See who would come out on top after all the bad mouthing and stuff.

Also to see what other poster have to say about this idea. Thoughts please.?!!!

The problem, is if this is a shoot, a pure, MMA contest, then lots of these fights would end BADLY. I mean, do you know how many injuries a wrestler generally works through? Great Muta, I don't think would be able to do it, as he is right now.

And you realize, being a wrestler doesn't mean you can fight, whereas a good many MMA fighter, I think they could do some damage to someone, out of the cage.

But, if we could magically have every man in his prime, and injury free? Some of these MIGHT be interesting. Set me down for Bruce Lee vs. Antonio Inoki.

I understand where you coming from but it's also like a dream match and hyper thetical type thing. Unless this thing really actual happen. Still I think some of the wrestlers could hang with the MMA fighters like guys that have amateur and martial artist in their background. I'm not saying its going to be an easy win for some of these wrestlers but you got to admit at least some of these guys like Kurt Angle, Jushin Liger, Tajiri, AJ Styles, Lance Storm, Shelton Benjamin, Dean Malenko, and Steve Blackman. Do pretty well but really who knows and depends who they end up facing. For some odd reason I left off a few names like Faarooq, Bradshaw, CM Punk, and Low Ki/Senshi/Kaval.!

I like your idea of match between Bruce Lee vs Antonio Inoki. Their few other martial arts expert I wouldn't mind seeing against MMA stars or wrestlers. Just wanted to see what people can come up with or they would pick if this ever went down.!
