ECP(Elite Combat Productions) is a MMA company based out of California(but it does have other offices in Europe and Canada). It was formed by two lifelong best friends, Carl Richards and Davey Stokes. Both men met school as teenagers. Carl was attending Jiu-Jitsu lessons when he met Davey and later convinced Davey to join up as well. Both quickly became very good at their chosen craft. Both became interested in the prospect called the UFC and attended its first show. Both enjoyed the show but became saddened by the media backlash that followed the event. The UFC PPV's were soon dropped but Carl and Davey stuck with the promotion till the very end. The UFC folded after UFC 12 on February 7th, 1997 due to mounting debts. With no PPV outlet and low attendances, no money was coming in. You do the math.............

Davey and Carl were saddened by the death of the UFC but also became inspired. They came up with a project that would be like the UFC - Elite Combat Productions. However setting things up took time and it was at least 3 years before Davey and Carl revealed their idea to the general public(not the it got major press attention). Luckily for Davey and Carl over in Japan, OMEGA had become huge, with its freak show fights and exciting battles. Davey and Carl also met Russian business man Andrei Smirnoff. The first ECP show, entitled "Genesis", was held on August 14th 2000. The show was a minor success, with the media praising the way ECP handled the show medical wise. However ECP lost a ton of money and after 5 more shows was on the edge of debt. Smirnoff then attempted a all or nothing deal with a Russian company(owned by a close friend of Smirnoff) named F7. F7 shocked the "Cult" MMA world by purchasing the company. Since then ECP has gone onto become a national powerhouse and recently held shows in England, Russia and
Scotland. ECP also gained a huge boost in 2006 with a bi-monthly Primetime show on Spike TV. The shows are called "ECP Fight Nights". ECP also holds PPV's every month(sometimes two). The next show is called "ECP FINAL RESOLUTION 08". The show is held annually and is ECP's big new year show. This years card is headlined by the monster and ECP Heavyweight Champion Viktor facing the top contender to his title Cole Jackson.

The main story coming out of ECP Final Resolution was the utter destruction of Cole Jackson. The undefeated Russian monster Viktor knocked Jackson around the ring before finally ending the bout with a stiff knee to the temple. Viktor then issued a challenge to fighters everywhere saying that he was someone who can take him to 3 rounds.

Another major story coming out of Final Resolution was Antonio Keathing's amazing armbar win over Dibley. Keathing seemed in trouble during the fight but somehow got in a armbar to take the win. Keathing now moves up the rankings, getting closer to a title shot with Larry Keith. Speaking of Keith, he defended his title against Toby Jones. Keith had some trouble in the first round but soon fought back for a TKO Victory.

Elsewhere on the card Nakamura bagged himself a light-heavyweight title match by defeating Martin King after 3 rounds of incredible action. Brodie Louis defeated Pedro Lee with a triangle choke that probably saved him from being released from his contract. Jeff Kennedy managed to get the win by decision over Owen Warren. And finally, Martin Jones crushed Andy Stokes with a barrage of punches to take a TKO win.

Very interesting concept man. I like MMA in general & I think that if you decide to continue with this BT then it will be very interesting to see what you got planned for future shows. Keep up the good work.
