Thats a cop out answer. Basing your entire religious beliefs on something that cannot be proven is to put it simply stupid.

Seriously Luther is more of a religious icon to me than Jesus.

To base religious beliefs on anything other than that which cannot be proven is to put it simply stupid. Religiosity often consists of an element of faith, but faith that has proof is not faith at all and is totally contrary to the notion of faith.

Furthermore, what can be proven?
