On tonight's episode of E.C.W, a backstage segment was had that involved a random stage-hand who was explaining to Tiffany that he was unsure what truly happened.

He went on to explain that a couple sets of lights just fell, and before he knew it Someone in green, pushed him out of the way, saving him.

So, is this a sign of things to come? My guess is, yes. Gregory Helms is obviously not the same Gregory Helms that carried the Cruiserweight division and was once thought of to be a hopeful for the United States division. He's become injury prone it seems, and has been uneventful and unentertaining since truly returning.

When in doubt of facing the unemployment line - what do you do? Resort back to the one gimmick that made all the Children go crazy just to see you!

If this truly is the possible return of the Hurricane, what are everyone's opinions on this? Is it enough to keep you interested in watching Gregory Helms sticking around?

Please explain your thoughts and opinions on this possible up-coming storyline situation. Be sure to add detail and plenty of thought-process. Thank You.

You will not believe how happy I am. I so wanted him to go back to his old Hurricane gimmick when he moved to ECW, and now he has. It could be like, Gregory Helms: Interviewer by day, Superhero by night kind of thing. Either everyone knows Helms is Hurricane, or nobody knows.

Absolutely this makes me interested in seeing Gregory Helms stick around. I want to see if he gets a new theme or goes back to his old one, and if he'll wrestle.

ECW continues to keep looking up.

Wow, that would suck if he went back to the old gimmick. However if this "Hurricane" warning was something different I would beg to differ. I don't like kids characters because I am an adult, and could care less about child like entertainment.

This "Hurricane" warning could be a decent heel gimmick if they worked it properly, and they could even turn it in to some sort of catch line or popular phrase. Yes, he is injury prone however he is still very entertaining in and out of the ring. Obviously creative hasn't thought of anything for him, and he is in wrestling purgatory. Helms has the ability to be another small big man like HBK was in his day. Everything is there for Helms he just has to come up with something.

Tommy Dreamer wins ECW title AND a Hurricane teaser in the same week?

Holy MTFO Big Will!

I must say I am pretty excited about it, I always liked Helms, but his recent mix of previous gimmicks didn't work. He was mighty over as the Hurricane, so why not go back to it? He si already type cast as the Hurricane, it would make sense.

I have to agree that this isnt a bad thing for Greg Helms. Hurricane was an awesome gimmick for him and I'm pretty hopeful that they bring it back. Looking at the comedy state of WWE at the moment , nothing is funny, hopefully Hurricane can change that as his comedy work since the invasion angle has been hilarious especially his work with The Rock back in 03.

The kids would eat it up which is exactly what the WWE are looking for at the moment. Its not exactly going to lead to a title push for Greg but should be an entertaining ride along the way.

I like Gregory Helms regardless. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing The Hurricane return. He was entertaining as hell in the ring, cut amazingly funny promos and everyone seemed to like him.

I think we all better stand back! Haha
I do think we're about see a hurricane come through. I've thought this ever since he became the reporter-character again. You can't have one without the other. I remember back a few years ago when he claimed to be a reporter from The Daily Globe... they should make that a Gregory Helms-persona blog on WWE.com I reckon... it might help push him a bit further, especially since he's in WWECW.

Best thing for Helms to do. He's boring as hell when he's just Gregory Helms, and since he returned, he was useless. No reaction from the crowd, nothing to differentiate him from other people (outside of the fact that he just looked like a tool lol), etc.

If he returns to the Hurricane character, it kills two birds with one stone, as it gives him a purpose to be on the show and it sells merchandise. I'd much rather have the Hurricane be a sort of comedic face than be subjected to any more Goldust shitake mushroom Hornswoggle crap lol.

I could see The Hurricane returning as the person to stand up to Kozlov (and hopefully beat the shit out of him and then Prudias gets released the next day lol), but I could also see a feud between Hurricane and Ryder to help get Zack over.

I'm not a big fan of Helms, but I'm excited about this, as its sort of a last chance thing in my mind. Best potential for him to actually mean something.

Im 23, and I can easily say that The Hurricane was and still is one of my all time favorites. He was just so natural in his character and his feud with The Rock was funny as hell, "I got my Hurri-powers bitch!) This is the best thing for him to do, he is a future ECW Champ, and with Mysterio possibly leaving, he could move over to SD! and have a great Upper Mid-Card run

They should have him return as the hurricane at first but then change him up. They should make him like an anti-hero type super hero like the characters from Watchmen. He could take is super hero thing way too far and brutally beat down people he feels are evil. He would be like Rorschach. That would be bad ass. Have him wear a trenchcoat. Idk, maybe, maybe not. Kind of like a different spin on an old gimmick.

Being that Sci-Fi (I refuse to call it Syfy when it changes) is geared towards comics, b-horror and science fiction movies and shows, the return of the Hurricane would be great. I always enjoyed his character and thought it harkened back to the goofy WWF I grew up with. I hated when they changed it to him just being a regular guy.

And I don't care if I'm an "adult" I like cartoony characters and thought the Hurricane gimmick was great.

6/10-During a segment on tonight's episode of ECW, Interim General Manager Tiffany, was talking to a production crew member about an accident that happened backstage with some equipment. He said some guy in green saved him. Tiffany was then sidetracked by Christian and said she'll deal with the matter later.

This was taken from Helms' official site, on the news section of his 'appearances'...it seems like it will be our hero in green afterall.

On a side note, most rumour mills have suggested this is Shamus. I for one hope it is not as really do you need another sterotypical Irishman on ECW? No I didn't think so!

Hurricane FTW! I remember those skits he did with the Rock when he came back as a movie star heel. Priceless...

After a several year absence, The Hurricane returned to the WWE ring at last night's SmackDown/ECW live event in Binghamton, New York, teaming with Evan Bourne. The duo lost to The Hart Dynasty when David Hart Smith pinned Hurricane with a clothesline. In another note, The Hurricane's ring time was limited as Bourne worked most of the match.

This will bring another good face onto ECW,ad he will get a good reaction if people remember him, hopefully.I just hope they don't ruin him and just use him in comedy-skits.

Hot damn. Just now, Mark Henry was about to give a promo when somehow a stage prop fell on a backstage guy. More backstagers came to help him but couldn't lift the prop. Henry was considering, and I thought he was going to turn face. But something better happened. The prop was lifted...

And behold, the green-tighted Hurricane has made his return to ECW.

How do you think this will play out? Will he enter the championship scene on ECW? Or feud with Henry for not helping out a fallen employee?

^I doubt his appearance had anything to do with Henry. That segment was just more build up for the return of the gimmick. I can't remember the last time I marked out for a wrestler during a WWE program. Hopefully, they push him as a legit wrestler after the Bash and not just a backstage skit like Ron Simmons or something.

Stand back, people. A Hurricane is coming through!

I mini-marked out when I saw the Hurricane behind the box. I laughed with the flying sound effect and then Helms just showing back up to finish the interview with Mark Henry.

I too hope they don't just ruin him. As funny as the gimmick is, I wonder if a superhero the likes of the Hurricane could be pushed as an actual legit competitor.

Remember the legit run they gave him as Cruiserweight champion?

I for one am a fan of Helms, and enjoy the Hurricane character.

I'm almost 28.

"Whuuzupwiddat?!?!"

It would be fun to actually see someone like Shamus attemping to claim they are the Hurricane, only for Helms to appear and fight off the imposter.

yes he should be an actual competitor hes an entertaining wrestler. as helms hes boring but when the huricane is coming...be prepared.

Look out, there's a hurricane coming, and boy oh boy am I glad! I loved Hurricane, and since WWE is making an approach towards kids(Attitude Adjustment?) I think this would be great. Plus, as it has been said, Hurricane was Hi-lar-ious!

What's so great about this guy? he's pretty good in the ring and he's kind of funny, but damn you'd think Austin came back last night or something. It's cool to see him back frmo such a serious injury, but he's not the second coming of Sammartino or something. He'll be good to have on the roster as he's an established veteran that can make a lot of the young guns on the roster look better than they could on their own, but I can't picture him getting a serious push. His character is too much of a comedy guy to be taken seriously, but I could be wrong.

Dude this is awsome, hopefully we can start a cruiserweight title on ECW, have bourne, Hurricane, Helms (i know hurricane and helms are so cool, but think about it, how ackward would it be to see helms vs hurricane, where helms tries to find reasons not to fight him, wile also stating that he is not hurricane. But it would be awsome, and final thoughts

Stay in the back, there's a hurricane coming through

Oh how I missed the Hurricane when he left. Helms was great as a serious character, and I was happy he got his bit of a day in the sun as a legitimate guy, but I'm ridiculously excited for the return of the Hurricane. The gimmick was gold, and he should have a good platform on ECW to return to. I'm very excited for his in-ring return.

Oh dear it looks like a lot of people don't know "stand back there's a hurricane coming through" but alas back on topic.

They need to seriously make him wrestle, if not we'll have these segments going on for far too long and when the actual debut happens it'll be just meh...hurripops anyone? Just sayin.

I wonder if this is going to lead to an angle with Burchill after his "this is ridiculous" comment during the latest segment. I'd like to see this happen as I mark for the hurricane and Burchill is one underated guy.
