How G can it get?

So, we all know WWE is in "PG" mode... long departed from the days of the Attitude Era (as sad as it is) and more geared towards kids and a "family friendly" product. While many of us "Adults" have come to grips with it, we don't necessarily like it...

But, I am wondering if they are bordering on "G" and if it keeps moving that way, how much will more of us who grew up with WWF/WWE pre- and through the Attitude Era will tolerate?

My example to this comes from the Divas division and Nikki Bella's new in-ring gear. Let me start off by saying I felt her old gear, the "jersey style" top with the "laces" in the middle was possibly the best divas gear ever. Showed amazing cleavage every night as the one bit of sexuality for men each week.

But starting at HIAC, her top is now completely closed and hides all cleavage. Apparently, WWE heard massive criticism from women and mothers about how she was nearing a "nip slip" in every match, which god forbid even comes close to happening. And how their sons can't be subjected to that much skin or a hint of areola.

So, it's gone. What comes next? Too much leg showing? Women in burkas? When will men complain about so many wrestlers like Orton in nothing but a pair of underwear and boots being too risque for their daughters?

I'm just wondering what everyone else's thoughts are on this stuff. Because with the overall WWE product suffering for good characters and storylines, seeing Nikki come out and strut her stuff for 5-8 minutes a night was one of the better parts of each week and now that's gone so I'm really struggling with whether or not I even care to continue watching.

It's better that way for the product.. The Bellas are no strangers to nip slips.. Hell, they've even had vag slips before. That's not good for a PG show, epecially since RAW is live and they can't censor it.. The only issue i have with the rating of the show is it seems they're so limited on what they can do.. The show seems boring because there's no story development. When the product is TV-14 they don't have to worry as much about offending people... As a PG show they don't know what the hell to do. Everything seems like a mess.. I completely understand their side for the woman though, sometimes they can be a bit too revealing... You have to remember, it is PG, they can toe that line sometimes but they have to follow certain guidelines.

WWE is not for adults anymore. A lot of us continue to watch it because most of us have been fans are entire lives and it's just a habit now.

Seriously us women and mothers are too blame because you can't maybe, possibly see Nikki Bella's nipple for a second. Jesus Christ I've never heard anything so stupid in my entire life.

As a woman who watches wrestling I can speak only for myself. First of all I don't give two shit what Nikki Bella wears. She could come out naked for all I care. It's not like women in wrestling have always been covered up, does anyone remember the bra and panties matches for years ago.

Maybe just maybe we heard for years that the women aren't being taken seriously, and this might be a step towards that. Besides from what I've seen she really hasn't covered up that much anyway. Go watch some porn if not seeing a nipple offends you.

Yes, you women are too blame (maybe not you, specifically, but women in general) because you're the ones who complained and got them to make a change.

If women (again, in general, not you) didn't like it because of what it was "exposing" their children too then try being a good mother and taking some control of said kid and turning the channel for the whole 5-8 minutes she's on so the child can't see something MAYBE/POSSIBLY occur.

I do however find immense trouble with 2 statements...

1) you imply it's impossible to take women seriously if they aren't covered up... which is silly. A man, or any person, can take them plenty seriously covered or not... i have grown to like the wrestler Nikki has become and enjoy her in the ring, doesn't mean I can't also enjoy seeing some cleavage at the same time.

2) Go watch porn... as though I, or any man, should limit their sense of enjoying a beautiful woman to only one realm and not others. Nikki is an insanely beautiful woman. I want to see her beauty.

Let me ask another question... and I referenced it in my OP... many women get major joy out of seeing male wrestlers wearing very little... i.e. Orton... or Ziggler when he's not in his new pants... why is that completely ok but the men who watch WWE now are allowed no joy whatsoever in even the slightest hint of sexuality?

I am not advocating for a return to Attitude Era days with bra & panties matches and bikini contests... but their in-ring attire needs to be changed for being too revealing now? When does it end? When is enough censorship? As I asked above... are burka's next?

First off I don't really like it when men dress in just a speedo and boots. It looks weird. They might have great bodies, but it's weird looking. I find someone like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose far sexier than a Randy Orton or even Cesaro. Mind you Cesaro looks damm fine in a suit, but I digress.

And really what has she covered up, she's still wearing pretty skimpy outfits, and showing cleavage. Did you ever think she might have wanted the change, where is the proof that it was upset mothers who wanted her covered. I would have thought Vince would give them the finger if that was the case.

You act like she's wearing a burka already, and the only thing they did was take the laces out of her top. And yes I meant it when I said they aren't taken seriously, if the complaint that you have is you can't see her nipples, maybe if one slips out. Her beauty is still there, she is still showing cleavage and a bit of ass. So when you make the statement "I might stop watching wrestling now" or something to that effect, makes me wonder.

Really?

You ever think maybe she wanted to close it? Maybe she doesn't want to do a nip slip? Maybe it feels more comfortable without the laces. I never even noticed she changed it. I bet this decision was made by her because she felt like it.

You watch a 3 hour show every week just for 6 minutes of someone possibly getting a nip slip? Seriously, just go watch porn if you are this sexually frustrated. Everyone watches it, no one cares.

There's millions of beautiful woman.. Porn is the best option, you can see whatever you want... Watching the divas to see cleavage is absolutely ridiculous, even if there's a small change a nipple pops out... A small little nip slip isn't that arousing anyways, unless you're a virgin.. which i'm not judging if you are, just saying.

There it is... She's had nip slips before. Maybe she's trying to prevent them now.. Nobody wants to have a nip slip live on television.
