Chyna passes away.

With the safety off!!
This news has just broken. Apparently former WWE star Chyna was found in her home tonight dead. There are no details yet on what caused her sudden demise as the story is just breaking.

I really hope this isn't true I like her a lot when she was active on the roster. Shame to see talent like this end up the way she did.

RIP

WWE owes her some form of tribute at RAW Monday. More than just a graphic.

If you want to trace the women's wrestling shift back, she was the real start to the big, physical woman showing in-ring dominance, even asserting herself as an intimidating figure to men sometimes.

I realize they have basically disowned her since her adult film came out and her life sort of spiraled out of control, but they remain connected to several shady and bad characters.

A ringing of the bell would be nice or some kind of women's tribute match.

Wow I literally just got finished watching an episode of 3rd Rock From The Sun that she guest starred in.

Im actually really surprised by this, I know she had some personal issues but she seemed to be fairly stable but we'll find out the cause before too long, I wouldnt be too surprised to find out it was suicide or an OD of medication. I really do hope that WWE will acknowledge her and her contributions to the attitude era. By acknowledge I mean more than just a press release on WWE.com or a black screen at the opening of RAW.

Wrestlers have started to react to the news on Twitter but I've not seen a single person on the WWE roster. Not one. WWE probably knows but have told everyone not to tweet about it

She deserved alot more than she got from WWE. She essentially got pushed out of the company once Hunter and Stephanie hooked up and has been ignored and erased as much as possible.

What pisses me off the most is how WWE claims they will help any former talent with their addiction issues, Stephanie McMahon has gone on record stating that they've spent six figures on Scott Hall alone yet you still see former talent struggling with their demons. She was important to the attitude era as anybody else in that time peroid, she was a catalyst for the return of the women's division and despite her personal issues deserves recognition.

It's truly awful. I know we'll start to have this conversation about whether she will be acknowledged by the WWE or inducted into the Hall of Fame, and whether she ought to be, but more importantly a woman who dedicated a large part of her life to entertaining us has passed away far too young and it's truly, truly terrible.

It's impossible not to remember Chyna as one of the most unique and entertaining parts of the Attitude Era - I think on an objective list of most incredible moments of that era, her becoming Intercontinental Champion must be on it. It's a terrible shame things in her career went the way they did, but she'll leave a legacy of being an ingrained part of the hottest period of wrestling in the United States, inseparable from its history. That's a great deal more than many get to say, though it's little solace right now.

I hope she finds some peace and that her family can move on without her.

Stephanie just sent out a tweet acknowledging her death, hopefully the first of many from the WWE locker room past and present

WWE is in a really tough position right now. If they don't acknowledge Chyna's passing on the front page, fans will get all up on their shit and call them petty. If they do, fans will call them fake and say how bullshit they think it is. So basically, they're getting backlash either way.

its something of bitter sweet, I just saw the last video of chyna and i will not lie she didn't look well. But now in her death we know that she will finally not suffering and she can be happy...I want monday night raw to be just woman's wrestling in tribute to her..and yes this year she will be hall of fame along side Owen Hart Taker and Val Venus

Well WWE is already in the position of being hypocritical, Tammy Sytch has had just as much of a storied personal life since leaving WWE. From multiple arrests, stints in rehab, currently legal issues and now porn herself. Yet WWE still recognizes her as a WWE alumni and Hall of Famer.

Blackjack Mulligan was a hall of fame wrestler and responsible for another generation of very good wrestlers and he only got a graphic. Chyna will get a graphic Monday night and in my opinion that's showing proper respect. She isn't Dusty Rhodes or Roddy Piper and doesn't warrant getting the kind of handling.

They have the next 10 - 15 years to sort out hall of fame, if there will be DVD's, etc. No rush for that right now.

It's better to acknowledge and show some kind of class with it than pretend she didn't exist.

Fans who want to call them fake for it are just haters and would be showing more disrespect by doing so, IMHO.

But doing nothing would be really low and downright classless.

Nothing from Triple H yet (at press time).... he's holding back but I'd be surprised if he totally ignored acknowledging this

Chyna was without a shadow of a doubt, a BIG part of the attitude era. She was an out of the mold woman, who stomped guys like if they were rugs.

She was funny, she broke a lot of barriers, and like it or not, she was 33% of why DX reached the success they did.

Too bad she never was recognized properly, the attitude era would not be the same without the nineth wonder.

RIP Chyna, no matter what WWE tried to do to overlook your importance....the fans didnt, and we wont.

Chyna gets a lot of shit, some of it justified and some of it not, but I've always heard good things about her as a person. Whether she was difficult to work with professionally or what have you, people always commented on how nice of a person Chyna was. It's a real shame that she's gone so soon, especially before ever seeing how appreciated she really is in the wrestling business.

Had WWE (HHH and Steph) not been so petty, Chyna would be lauded today as probably the greatest female talent of all time, unequivocally. Hopefully that happens now.

RIP Chyna.

I imagine it's also really hard for him. She was a MAJOR part of his life. I wouldn't be shocked if he's spending time alone crying. You never fully fall out of love with someone. He's probably taking time for himself because he's sad.

The one thing I'm hoping is that wwe won't be hypocripts and honor her just because she dead. The girl was a cancer within wwe when she was on the roster and she was a even bigger problem for them after she left. I never was a fan of hers and let face it, I think she one of the reason that the ic title means almost nothing right now. She was a celebrity hound and could accept that nobody was talking about her so she took pill and drank alcool to deal with the fact that she wasn't famous anymore.

Yes she was a pioneer and broke the glass ceiling for the women's even if she didn't cared abot the women's division when she was in wwe but the last thing that wwe should do is to honored her in anyway. So let this one be, it's going to be less of a media headache if you don't honor her at all and let her death be.

To those calling for a HOF induction - highly unlikely. Not because she's Triple H's ex, not because she yet-another-young-drug-death (at least I'm willing to bet a ton of money that that's going to be revealed to be the cause of death), but because of her porn endeavours. That's the kind of embarrassment the WWE will most likely be unwilling to overlook.

Another life destroyed by Vince to build his WWE empire. Vince made millions but wrestlers like Chyna died broke and juiced up on roids and drugs. I hope there's a special place in hell for that piece of trash known as Vince McMahon. R.I.P. Chyna.......

It goes without saying that she deserves acknowledgement.

But regardless of how the WWE deals with this, I think it is important to remember that whilst we are all of us (me included) incredibly opinionated when it comes to the sport that we love, we are also part of a crazy incredibly large family. Chyna was a part of that family and gave me years of entertainment in the wrestling world that I will personally never forget.

She had her problems, maybe more so than some. But she was a human being who put her body on the line night in and night out for our enjoyment.

I will miss her. My fondest memory is actually connected to another storyline but her involvement in the Corporate Rumble and throwing out McMahon after Austin's interference had me marking out like mad.

I hope wherever she is, that she is at peace.

The afterlife just welcomed the 9th Wonder of the World. Sleep well Chyna.
