Anyone else SICK of the WWE Title belt?

Nothing aggravates me more on TV than that stupid, cartoon looking WWE Title belt. This belt was originally the spinner belt Cena used when he was champion. Now, they've kept the look and took the spinner off of it. Why? This belt looks so goofy. More like something a rapper would buy then a belt you win in a pro wrestling match.

I would be thrilled to see them go back to the old WWE Undisputed title belt. The one JBL and Hogan had during their title reigns. It's a little nit picky of me, but I seriously hate that belt and it doesn't even suit anyone except Cena. Orton and HHH look stupid carrying that belt.

And if they don't want to go with the old look before the 'bling bling' belt, I say go for a modern looking, eagle design or something. TNA's belts look awesome. The WWE belt looks silly. Any suggestions of what design they should use? Does anyone actually LIKE the damn belt?

I think it does looks strange when someone other than John Cena has the belt. But I don't think it's as horrible and it doesn't diminish its prestige as much as people like to believe.

I don't have a problem with the way the belt looks.

Hogan has his version of the belt.

Austin had a smokin' skull belt.

This is the Cena era. So that's what the belt's gonna look like during this particular era.

I actually don't mind the look of the WWE Championship. In 2005, when Cena debuted the championship, I thought it looked fucking awesome! I don't really feel much different now than I did then. If WWE were to abandon the current WWE Championship, I don't think they should go back to the old WWE Championship that the likes of Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Big Show, Eddie Guerrero and J.B.L. had. I would much prefer a brand new design for the WWE Championship.

If and i mean IF it was what you think ... it is the CENA ERA ..... then he would have his own custom made belt at the moment of his next big run (on smackdown hopefully and the reason i think they switched the belts ), Randy Orton is gonna get the belt at backlash BUT won't get it for himself, he will get the belt by default (Rhodes or Di Biase getting the pin after an outsider interference) and so begins the age of orton!
The outside interference will conclude the legacy and become it's 4th member

It stands out too much, that's what I don't like about it, that huge silver logo really spoils it, maybe WWE wants it to show Brand identity or something, but that spoils it for me, I much prefer a small hallmark of the company and then predominantly gold with a 1 coloured design on it, or at least don't mesh silver with gold, the IC belt looks awesome theres not a lot going on with it which is why it works, a honking huge W in the middle of the belt doesn't make it any more related to the WWE than any other belt.

That said, I don't really care, as long as someone I want to have the belt is holding it on their shoulder, the status of it doesn't change with what it looks like, the title of WWE Champion is what matters, and as long as it's of an acceptable demeanor then I'll not be too fussed.

I hate that stupid spinner/wwe title belt they have now its horrible.
Think about it, how much more important would that belt seem if they went with one of the older wwe championships they used before. Now its like this bling bling goofyy belt that really sucks. Orton even stated in an interview that he hated the belt.
Back when the WWE title was the eagle belt in the early 90s it felt so much more prestigous to be the champ. It felt like an honor, privelage, award when the wrestlers won that belt, Now its like they want to be in the main event or they dont really care. Half the roster doesnt even care about being the champ all they wanna do is be on tv, get laid, get paid and go home. Basically no passion anymore its gone. When guys like Stone Cold, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels (in the 90s), Undertaker, Triple H would die for that belt. Now no one really seems to care about it.

Yea I think it's stupid. It sucks... and the so called "cena era" can piss off... I liked the WWE championship just the way it was. The newer belt sparkles and pops out and it just looks gay... They changed the entire belt for Cena, and now it's not even related to Cena anymore. He did the same thing to the US title, but that one didn't look as bad. Now he has the WHC, so I hope that one doesn't get ruined either. So far, they kept the classic look for the WHC, which looks like the WCW championship. So why can't they keep the classic look for the WWE belt?

Maybe if the WWE Universe speaks out and sends e-mail after e-mail to WWE about the belts they will finally get the message. It use to be the WWE fans drove the direction of the style of WWF/WWE. WWE FANS I ASK EVERYONE TO STEP UP AND HOLD SIGNS AT EVENTS, SEND E-mails, MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD THEY WILL LISTEN! Its like a strike of the fans he will have no choice but to listen or else some/all WWE fans will walk hahahaha jk.

i could not agree more! that is actually one of my big pet peves about the wwe right now is that damn belt! i hate it so much it looks so ridiculous! I mean when when the ultimate warrior and austin customized their belts did they stay after they lost it? no! ugh drives me crazy! it looks like a childrens toys.

my favorite one will always be the winged eagle belt they used in the 80s till 98 when it was changed after WM14.......that belt was SO prestigus and just looked like it ment so much. they need to bring back that title asap. i know they wont but that would make my year if they did haha.

I love TNAs...i have no complaints about that one.

That belt was epic and easily my favorite. It's giant and gold, much like the World Heavyweight Title is and it has an eagle on it.

The current WWE Title really pisses me off. Sure, it looked great on Cena and it worked well with his gimmick, but he hasn't even had the WWE title since 2006. The belt looks like nothing more than a toy and guys like Triple H and Orton looked absolutely ridiculous with the belt. With the belt on Smackdown, can you imagine if The Undertaker or Big Show were to win the title?

I wish they would bring back the Attitude Era belt, or at least the Undisputed championship belt, which was the old belt before Cena ruined it.

That might have more to do with the fact that there's 2 World Championships. That would diminish a titles importance more than any "spinner belt" could.

it don't matter what the older fans like you do because you don't matter over the kids & that is not going to change at all . the kids love the belt & so do black people. it is hip hop belt & this era is more about hip hop. kids are buying that belt by the dozens. it is one of top selling WWE products because of cena . you older fans & marks are out number by fans & kids who like it . so it will do you no good to try .this era is all about the kids like hogans era . we are going to have to get used & show repsect for kids because they older fans who 80's did same for me as kid. so do the right thing & get used . let the kids have their time & not ruin it for them by being a bunch of spoiled jerks woh can't let the kids have there time like you did.

While there are arguments for and against...I have to agree and say that WWE will not get rid of it.

That belt is really popular with the Make a Wish Foundation as well.

On the other hand, I think anyone who has been faithful to WWE throughout the years has a gripe against it. Most of my friends think it's "whack". I think they should change it since it doesn't spin anymore anyways...

On the other hand we do have the World Title to sort of keep the old guard and the WWE title to sort of appeal to the new generation of marks in training. I think it's time is running up personally, and it will no doubt go down in WWE infamy...but it does have it's appeal. However, I'm not so sure the majority of the WWE crowd likes it. I think it's pretty split. and whack...

No one is hitting on a key point. The smoking skull belt was mentioned in 1 post, but what wasn't mentioned about it is that it was a secondary belt, a prop, while Austin also carried around the prestigious, REAL WWE title belt. I have no probleme with the Spinner belt..........if it was used like the smoking skull belt. Let it be Cena's thing. He'll be champion enough that it could take on a life of its own, but it certainly doesn't need to be the belt that a champion carries around. I'm not sure what the new belt should be, however, rumor is the belts may unify at WM26. Perhaps a new belt comes out then as the new undisputed belt. That might parlay all the concerns.

I hate the way the WWE title looks. I can't believe that they still use it. I think it takes away from the title and I hope they change it soon since Cena has the World title.

The Undisputed title that was used before looked great. Creating a new one might not be a good idea. Looking at the designs of the ECW and Diva's championships doesn't make me think they are capable of making a decent looking belt right now.

i know the tazz custom ecw old school belt is what wwe needs theres to look like let an superstar like 2003 john cena win the title and customize it for about 5 years like todays belt and keep on repeating but only if an ecw original gets there hands on it lol ecw ecw ecw

I don't really have a problem with the WWE championship being a spinner belt.

It's kind of like the aau basketball tournament in July called the Summer Championships. It used to be called the Big Time and was the most talked about and prestigious tournament of the year for aau basketball players. When they changed their name, most were disappointed at the name change but still went. All of the best teams still go and all of the big name coaches fly, drive, or hitchhike, their way to find their next big thing. I believe it is the same thing with all of the championship belts, spinner or whatever they decide on in the future. As long as the big name players in the WWE continue to fight over the WWE Championship, the prestige will never drop, weather they are fighting over a 'bling bling' belt or a gold medal with the WWE logo on it. If that belt or medal means you are one of the best, everyone will fight over it.

The "Spinner" is awful. I could barley tolerate it when it was Cena's belt but now it makes the wearer look like a joke. No one can look intimidating or legit with that thing! Poor, old school minded HHH. He must feel so embarrassed.

It should be used just like "the smoking skull belt". When Cena is WWE or WHC champ he should wear that belt. No one else should have to! Except when Edge wins it. Then he can dust off the Rated R belt.

Bring back the WWF Hogan/Shawn/Bret/Austin/Taker/Diesle Etc belt, plz!!!

While we are at it, bring back the old IC and Us belt too!
