Zack Gowen Angle

Dean Winchester

Getting Noticed By Management
Does anybody remember the Zack Gowen storyline WWE had in 2003? When he was feuding with Vince McMahon then later on Brock Lesnnar? It was a pretty good storylines, even tho the matches were mostly bad. I cannot beleive a guy like Gowen got a hugh storylines like that.

I remember this feud, but it really made me hate Zack Gowen. I got the whole sympathy thing, he only has one leg etc., but I was only 12 at the time of watching it, and I lost all believability in it as I couldn't understand how a man with one leg could beat anyone, even vinnie Mac!

That said, I have a lot of respect for Gowen for pursuing a wrestling career, but I didn't like this angle one bit.

I was fed up with it about five minutes in. Alright, he's got one leg and you can never count anybody out I get it. But with WWE, it's never about how good someone really is, it's about how far you can push an edgy storyline. Personally I just didn't like it. Plus, I hate when they do things like: Vince: If you kiss my ass I'll give you a WWE contract. Instead Gowen delivers a low blow and then as a result gets a pay-per-view match. Does that make sense to anyone else?

It was okay when Steph brought him in first time, and yeh sure he does know how to wrestle and I too can't believe they gave him a huge storyline, even though he has 1 leg and will be remembered for that, but to be in a feud with VKM is what every wrestler wants to do, it can just put them on the map and this guy got it, his matches where bullshit and he even went on in ppv's and won as well.. whoaaa!!!!

I hated the angle. So what, the guy has one leg...respect to him for following his dream but I do not want to see a storyline based round a rookie with 1 leg as the main storyline on a wrestling show.

I want to see a bitter rivalry with two great wrestlers, this was a minor level story on the wrong stage, it should have been a low card thing, not taking up the top spot on the card. He got the story due to his disability, thats all, and I think thats wrong

I did find it weird a rookie like him got put in a hugh storyline like that on the show. If thats the case they should do that to people who can actually wrestle that comes in with no disability at all.
