Your Wardrobe

Dressing styles say quite a lot about people. My wardrobe is one of the last things one would want to see. It's messy, and when I clean it, I tell myself that I'd have it all orderly and neat. My longest record of a neat wardrobe is three weeks... Yes - I've kept track of it because I made a bet with my mum... And lost. My wardrobe mostly has shirts (I love checked shirts) and jeans in it. It's a colourful world in there. The only problem is that I've gotta go digging in for clothes when I need them and many good ones tend to be buried under, forgotten. So, how about you?

When you open your wardrobe -

What kind of colours do you mostly see?

Is it neat or messy?

What kind of clothes do you mostly have or wear?

My attire is fairly routine. I should probably get some more clothes. For work during the week I've got some khaki cargo pants to wear, and a polo shirt with it. When I run out of the cargo pants I just jeans it with polo, and do that on weekends regardless.

As far as what I wear when I'm out with friends goes, it's likely similar. Jeans and either one of my radio station shirts that I still have, sports shirt, or a polo. Sometimes if I want to wear a long sleeve shirt I'll just wear one of my heavier long sleevers. Doesn't happen often, but sometimes. If I'm going somewhere nice I'll put on a button up shirt and tie, and maybe my good dress pants. I'm likely not the neatest dresser, certainly not the most fashionable. I wear what I am comfortable in, jeans and a polo or t-shirt.

Mines is rather casual. It is filled with black and red shirts and jeans for the most part. 97% of it is clothes for school/home, the rest is fancy stuff that I rarely use. It is almost always neat, as I don't go in there at all besides the morning when I get my clothes for school.

On a side note, I wonder why women have these gigantic closets, my closet takes up about 1/16th of my room, and that is not because of anything relating to finance, it's because I could care less really. When I see a women's location of clothing storage it is always enormous! I guess that is why women get mad when their clothing isn't noticed or praised, and I am a large perpetrator of ignoring and not noticing someone's attire at all.

Unfortunately not all girls are like that. As in not noticing what you wear and stuff. I have quite a hard time when it comes to clothing because there's this thing about 'not repeating' what you wear at school to a point of absurdity. I don't get it.. Are they supposed to be disposable? Lol. My wardrobe is of an average size and quite a lot of my clothes are ones that my parents get for me.. Ones I don't exactly like to wear. I've been getting a lot of shit from my older sister and mum because I don't 'dress well' and I'm always 'casual'.

When I open my wardrobe...bam. Blacks, whites, reds, blues, purples, greens, I don't really stick to one colour. It's usually alright in there; not tidy as such, but not a n ightmare to get stuff out of.

My main attire is usually a button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up (like you, Lilac, I am a sucker for checked shirts) with a black or white t-shirt underneath, jeans and then either my brown boots or some converse. I have three pairs of converse; original black ones, some red ones, and a pair with a Batman comic-strip pattern on (best converse EVER). I'll usually have a long black coat too, dubbed by my friends as my 'Hero' coat.

There's a lot of black and grey. There's some purple, blue, indigo, teal, brown, burgundy. And a little red, green and white for pizzazz.

Messy. Very, very messy.

I have solid-color, band, "hip" and artsy t-shirts for everyday life. I like wearing plaid dress shirts (<3) and don solid-color dress shirts for semi-formal events. I wear black and blue jeans most of the time, but have a lot of black dress pants for formal events, business or work.

Hoodies Jeans track pants and t-shirts. nothing speacial, but I will not own a jumper unless it's a hoodie. I dress in the way a "bogan" would dress, but it's the most comfortable for me. It don't matter what colour my clothes are as long as the jeans are not white. Of course with that being said, I only own green hoodies at the moment.

I guess you would call it messy, but if I have to go anywhere important I just lose the Hoodie.

of course, at the moment I'm wearing my Football Guernsey everyday. that's my most prized possession seeing it cost $120

I wear mainly jeans and tshirts. No matter what time of the year it is. If it's cold I'll wear a hoodie and/or a trenchcoat, but that's about it. Even if it's 100 degrees in the shade during summer here in TX, I'll still be wearing jeans. As for my shirts, they vary in color a lot. Red, blue, yellow, green, purple, etc. The typical colors and some are black. Just about all of them are novelty shirts, which go well with my sarcastic personality. The closet is fairly neat because both my wife and I hate messes. She hangs hers in the closet while I use the drawers for most of my clothes.

T-shirts, athletic shorts, T-shirts, athletic pants, and more T-shirts with the occasional pair of Jeans for going out. Nearly all of my t-shirts are plain black. You might catch me wearing a long white sleeve under something one day but everything is mostly black. My athletic shorts vary from dark blue, orange, red, black and grey; same for the athletic pants. I wear jeans every now and then of going out and whatnot. It's no secret that I like to relax. I hate wearing jeans all day and when I do, the first thing I do when I get home is take them off. My wardrobe could certainly be better; but I don't give a shit.

I made this thread once before. Absolutely nothing has changed. I wear black and red Tall Tees, occasionally there will be a white or orange one thrown in there. Then I wear black or tan Khakis. I have one pair of white tennis shoes that I switch the laces on to match whatever color shirt I'm wearing and I have one pair of black and white Converse' that I wear when I'm going out or whatever because my wife likes them. Then I have a couple of red and black KC fitted hats that I wear all the time, especially when I have long hair.

I keep it simple for the most part. Don't want to spend an excessive amount of time getting ready and I like red and black, obviously. Hell, sometimes I'll just wear sweat pants and slippers for days.

Mine seems to change with fashion trends somehow, its weird because I don't actually plan it that way it just seems to have happened, Clothes I stop wearing get snapped up by my friends who are mostly girls, they go though all the clothes on my floor and ask me for things for their friends or their friends husbands or even their kids or themselves. All the things I wear stay in the wardrobe so they know if I don't want it any more it somehow ends up on the floor.
My wardrobe used to consist largely of sports shoes, tracksuit pants, baggy jeans and smoking jackets in the winter and long hop hop style shorts, basketball singlets and rugby shirts in summer.
Now it seems to be all skinny leg jeans and low cut v neck t shirts, sand shoes and leather jackets and even a couple of pairs of low key cowboyish boots. and short shorts and walker shorts for summer with slim fitting tanks or tennis shirts and shorts depending if I have to look more dressed or not.

Mostly bland colours like black, white, blue but I dead set have a pair of shorts that are pink! god fashions have changed.
I was with one of my old friends the other day from way back and I hadn't seen him since highschool (we're all in our mid to late 20's now) and he asked me if I was gay! So of course I was like "no you mongol what the hell what made you ask me that?" and he said "look at what your wearing" and I had white skinny leg jeans and a brown belt with a white tank and a green and white sort of check shortsleeve button up undone shirt and i thought to myself "what the hell has happened to me?" but i looked around and everyone else is dressed similar so its not my fault its society. God knows what we'll all be wearing in another 5 years. Scary.

I have the general stuff, (jeans, t-shirts, jumpers, hoodies, casual shirts etc)

However one of the things I like to do is customize my clothes. I've made what I like to call Franken-jeans (jeans with rips that are sowed up) and jeans with various patches like bits of denim or cut up t-shirts (sometimes I draw patterns on them before I cut them off)and t-shirts with personalised stencils (usually band lyrics or obscure band names)

I have two wardrobes. One's full of t-shirts and nothing else. The other has my chinos/jeans/work trousers, my work shirts, my smart shirts for going out and shit, jumpers and hoodies. I've recently had a massive sort out so now it's actually quite tidy in comparison to what it was. I threw away lots of old pairs of jeans and old t-shirts I no longer wear and it's left me with quite a bit of space. As for what I wear... either a stripy t-shirt, a polo shirt (normally Fred Perry) or a sports t-shirt, either cuffed Jeans or cuffed Chinos and I recently bought myself a new pair of Black high-top Nikes which I absolutely love. No doubt in 6 months time there will be something new out that I'll end up buying as well.

I have about 8 or 9 camo jorts. It was a clearance sale thing. 3 bucks each. Unignorable.

Aside from that I mostly wear black design t-shirts or black wifebeaters along with regular long jeans or my stash of camo jort's. I wouldn't call it messy, more like simple and casual. I used to dress with more "messy" clothes by wearing ripped-style pants and deteriorated shirts, but I never got good responses in public.

For work, I have to wear a button up shirt and khaki's or slacks most days, so I have that, I live alone in a fairly large 3 bedroom 2.5 bath condo (long story short, my employer pays for my current )

on other days, I have to wear a suit to work, so I have 3-4 suits per season (lighter colors/greys for the summer, darker blues/black for winter) with an entire tie collection of close to 100 ties (mostly gifts from friends, some that I bought myself), I try to make myself look stylish.

For casual go around, jeans, t-shirts, usually black t-shirts, I have a lot of hockey related stuff too (I used to play hockey in college, and tried, and failed to turn pro) but from attending pro-hockey tryouts and training camps I ended up with a ton of random t-shirts and running shorts/sweatpants so I use those.

Even though I'm a guy, I have a woman-like wardrobe according to both my girlfriend and my mom...so go figure...I also take long showers and take forever to get ready

I'm a shoe fanatic. Jordans, Chuck Taylors, Rockports, Bapes, Sperrys, ect I got them. I'm more of a casual dresser, but not casual to the; "what's the occasion?" casual. Jos A. Banks and Lacoste type of casual. I dont follow the clothing trends these days as I leave that to my kids. Growing up high top fades like Christopher Reid and gold chains were the trend and carpenter jeans. Now its skinny jeans and snapback hats. I can't follow anymore. Nor will I fall victim to wearing a 5x t-shirt and skinny jeans.

I'm a freak when it comes to my wardrobe.

Everything I wear has to be elegant and classy, well maybe not that far but casual smart would best define it. It has to be. I don't mean to sound pretentious and posh but, I can't for the life of me put on some slacks and go outside. It's just something that I don't do. Put it down to OCD or whatnot, but, looking the part is always on my mind.

Now, don't get me wrong, just because I like looking sophisticated doesn't mean I spend a lot of money on clothes, because I don't. I don't wear branded clothes or anything of the sort. My wardrobe is cheap.

I only have one pair of jeans that I wear in the house, the rest are either coloured cargo trousers or just plain trousers that you'd wear with a suit. My t-shirts tend to be a colour and maybe a catchphrase or slogan to make them stand out. I wear a lot of striped jumpers for some reason. I don't know why. Then, I usually have on a pair of nikes or a pair of vans on too.

A usual outfit would be something like this:

My wardrobe consist of mostly black and grey tee shirts along with jeans, sweat pants and basketball shorts. I don't ever dress up and I am not one for the prep style look. I had a hard time finding clothes to actually feeling comfortable in wearing. I usually just go with an XL Tee with either jeans or sweat pants and a pair of DC's. I don't like dressing up and feel mostly comfortable in dark colors and big clothes.

My wardrobe is usually neat and separated in different draws for each item I have. One for socks, boxers, beaters, tees, shorts and jeans are usually hanging in the closet. I guess if you were to see my wardrobe not too many women would be impressed. lol. Oh well!

Every tee shirt I own is black with the exception of 2 white ones and a yellow very rare Bad Seed one. And I own a shit load of shirts. All band tees. Mainly Naysayer, Fire & Ice, and a Bad Seed collection I bought off some guy on the b9 forums most will read somthing like "(insert band here) Richmond Hardcore". I would say it's in a neat order. My normal attire is usually a band tee, levis jeans, and Nike Air Max or Doc Martens depending on how I feel. I have a lot of shirts, windbreakers, hoodies, and snap back hats because they go up in price every day on Ebay and other sites. The more rare a band tee is the longer I'll hold on to it and the more I can sell it for.

I'm mostly a black, blue, green, and white type of guy. My wardrobe is a mixture of extremely comfy, yet extremely gaudy clothes. Its also full of a lot of nice clothes as well. I'm mostly in my comfy-womfies though dawg, even though on occasion, I'll throw on a nice dress shirt with a slick pair of pants and go out for the night, but once I'm home, I'm stripping and jumping in the comfies.

I'm a country boy living in a city right now so naturally instead of dressing like all of these douchebags with pants down to their ankles and those goddamn flatbrimmed hats with the sticker on them I rock my cowboy hat as much as possible. I wear alot of WWE and Tapout shirts proudly, followed by jeans with a good belt and a pair of Double H boots. When I'm being uber lazy like I am right now I'll go for a pair of Steelers sweats and a nice cozy longsleeve shirt and vans. That's about 8 months out of the year, then when it starts heatin up if I dont stick to that I'll just replace the jeans and boots with shorts and bare feet. One thing with me though is it's rare to not see me wearing a hat, whether it's the stetson or just a Steelers or fire dept hat I've always got some kind of hat.

Ahh yes. I forgot about about the most important aspect to my wardrobe. My hat. As a balding male I am forced to find a good hat for any occasion. I've got my redneck hats and my baseball caps. I also have to have my hunting and fishing caps, my fishing one being the one I wear most of the time cause it's awesome. Not only are hat a great accessory, they are also very manly. Talk about winning.
