Give your list for who you think are the best 5 WWE superstars in terms of mic skills and cutting promos. This is reserved for current talent only.

My top 5:

1. Chris Jericho
2. Edge
3. Santino Marella
4. HHH(better when he's in DX)
5. M.V.P

I used to have Cena in my top 5 but since he lost the rap gimmick and started sucking up to the fans, he's lost it. Kennedy was on there as well but he doesnt talk anymore.

My top 5 well its gotta be

1. "Y2J" Chris Jericho - Simply put, he has always been the god of promo's, the cocky heel, the whiny bitch heel, the funny face whatever theres no one better that Jericho for the job.

2. Santino Marrella - Calls himself the most charismatic wrestler on RAW, he may not be the most intense but he truly is hilarious.

3. JBL - He's another one thats hilarious, JBL seems to be an acquired taste but I find him great, he has completely nailed the part he plays.

4. Edge - Posseses many of the same traits as Jericho, he's just not up on his level, at least for me.

5. William Regal - (He's been suspended but he's still current talent) Regal is just great at making you hate him as a heel, he's not bad at getting face pops but he was born to play the heel. He's kinda the english JBL.

In no particular order..

MVP - He made me a believer during his feud with Benoit.
Santino Marrella - I can't help but wonder if he writes his own stuff.
Jericho - Acting classes have only made him sharper.
Randy Orton - "I kicked him where his appendix used to be. And that's not the only place I'm gonna kick'em." Awesome intensity. Get well soon.
Kennedy - Hasn't spoke his mind in a while but that doesn't mean he should be excluded.

Inculding Triple H, Edge, JBL and possibly Cena is there really only about 10 guys who can work the mic in the company right now..?

1. Chris Jericho - One of the best of all time IMO. He is incredibly versatile in his promos, whether he's a cocky, whiny heel or joke-cracking face. I miss the days of Stephanie vs Y2J

2. JBL - He may suck in the ring and his boobs may rival some of the divas, but he's amazing on the mic. He plays his wealthy business man gimmick perfectly and his promos are always believable.

3. Edge - I also think he's similar to Chris Jericho but not quite as good. Nonetheless, he is definitely one of the best on the mic today.

4. Kennedy - Great intensity, and the fans love his "KENNNNEDYY" line. I'd love to see the kind of promos this guy could cut once he is an established main eventer.

5. Santino Marella - This guy is absolutely hilarious, definitely the funniest guy on this list. I didn't rank him higher because he hasn't really done much outside of comedy.

1. Chris Jericho-Always has been great on the stick, and hasn't lost a step since coming back.

2. Edge-I love Edge, he is awesome, and he is so good on the mic, that I actually want to hate him at times.

3. Santino-This dude is hilarious, and if he gets better in the ring, he could be a great mid card guy

4. Randy Orton-Same reasons as Edge.

5. JBL-Look at 4 and 2.

-kennedy- theres one backstage segment that comes to mind where he is with mvp ready to face rated-rko...he gets all up in edge's face while obnoxiously chewing gum in between every word like "oh yea? (chews) thats wat ur gonna do? (chews) yea? (chews) thats it? (chews)." it was pretty funny and looked believable like he really is that douchebag

-santino- "hey im rey maestro. i like cookies." 'nuff said

-hhh- hes improved since sounding like he was constipated during every word that came out of his mouth. he also sounds like hes breaking kayfabe half the time with that slick smirk, which i think is the result of his good mic skills not because he actually is breaking kayfame.

-jericho- altho sometimes he can sound like a corny (lol) for the most part hes good, he's got presence and his timing is good i.e. when its time for the punchline.

-edge- this guy is funny, and nobody realizes it...his whole heel gimmick is based on being a cornball, he plays into the character that everone absolutely hates and its funny how obvious it is. ex: when he kisses vickie and gushes over how great she is while everyone else is barfing/booing

...i think these other guys like MVP arent good on the mic at all, they sound robotic. altho mvp has potential if he gets more experienced and becomes more like the rock.

My Top 5 in Order...


The Rated R Superstar Edge- In my opinion, he's the most intense promo cutter in the WWE right now.. He has the ability to make you literally hate his guts no matter who he's facing.. He really shined during his feud with John Cena.. That's where he showed everyone he can be a main player in the WWE.

Y2J Chris Jericho- Whether heel or face, Jericho has the ability to have the fans hanging on his every word.. He's similar to the Rock in that he can make you hate his guts one minute and 5 minutes later you're chanting his name.. That's how good Jericho is.. He's a funny charasmatic face and an equally as annoying heel. One of the few who can do that.

The Game Triple H- Whether you like him or hate him, people say that Triple H says the same stuff every week.. Theres a reason for that, because it works. Noone in the WWE can match Triple H's intensity.. He can make you angry for no apparant reason just by cutting a promo.. And when he's in DX, he has the charisma to be a comedic character aswell.. Triple H is as intense as they come but he can switch it up and have you laughin aswell.

The Legend Killer Randy Orton- He's gotten alot better in the last year since he's feuded with John Cena for the WWE Title.. Eversince he took out RVD and Shawn Michaels, his mic skills have vastly improved to the point where he's one of the best in the WWE.

Mr. Kennedy- He has better mic skills when he's heel but then again he hasn't talked much as a face.. He comes off to me as bein cut from the same mold as Chris Jericho... A guy who can make you hate him one minute and love him the next. He's equally as funny as he is annoying(when heel).. I don't know why he stopped talking.. He's got a gift for the mic.


Other notables include: MVP(he really was able to shine against Chris Benoit but his feud with Kane is what really made a believer outta me).. Batista(when he's heel or got that intense face.. When he's a smiling happy animal his promos come off as lame).. John Cena(if he cuts more promos like the one against Triple H he'll move to atleast #2 or 3 on this list).. John Morrison(VERY underrated on the mic in my opinion.)... CM Punk(he hasn't been able to showcase it in WWE but when he's a heel he's one of the best promos in the business).. Kane(he's much better as a heel obviously).. JBL(love him or hate him he's one of the best heels since the attitude era..His mic work has always been exceptional)... Shawn Michaels(if he'd talk more and turn heel, he'd be golden but that's not going to happen).. The Undertaker(when he talks, he gets his point across.. He doesn't talk asmuch as he did in his early career but you can feel the intensity in his promos much like Triple H.. He just needs to talk more.).. William Regal(Had he not been suspended, he would've been the best GM since Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman.. His mic skills are that good.)
