I don't actually care for most submissions in professional wrestling. They mostly look absolutely ******ed. The Kimura is the only one that even looks kind of legit. If Brock legit threw it, he'd have a pile of arms to carry around with him and the injured list would be much longer than it currently is.

The Banks Statement. I like the way she can basically hit an impact move and then take it right into the submission hold. A submission hold that can be both "hit" with impact out of nowhere, and applied out of nowhere without some huge set-up is just a great weapon.

Also, I like The Liontamer(NOT the Walls of Jericho). I marked when he put it on AJ Styles outside the ring at Fastlane. Such a great finisher.

The Calf Crusher has potential.

And the Kimura Lock is always great.

Doesnt WWE include NxT, logically? :suspic:

For me, Its surely AJ Styles' Calf Crusher. It has an amazing aura around it. The way AJ applies
provides an icing on the cake.

Others liked by me consist of Paige's PTO, Sasha's Banks Statement, Becky's Dis-Arme Her and ADR's cross armbreaker.

By the way, I love submission moves. :p

Always loved the Camel Clutch (make them humble), so my vote has to go for Rusev's Accolade.

I also was always a fan of the Tazmission as well back from the ole ECW days. Nothing got the crowd off their feet then when Taz got it locked in.

I'll go with the Bank Statement as well, it's new and we haven't seen it a 1,000 times over.

Oh and to the OP, it's Kimura Lock, a very well known and lethal submission move that's used in MMA. Haven't arms actually been broken by using it.

Top 5:
1. Scorpion Death Lock (Sting) - I love Sting and I love the Scorpion Death Lock. To me, this is the most electrifying sharpshooter in sports entertainment! Not just my favourite submission maneuver, it is my favourite finishing move as well. As for Sting, I won't classify him as a retiree until he officially declares that he is done.
2. Figure-8 Leglock (Charlotte) - The personal variation that Charlotte brought to the vintage Figure-4 is awesome, and it's very fitting that a Flair is carrying the move forward in this generation. If done right, there's no escaping this move.
3. Abdominal Stretch (with slaps in rhythm :D) (Big E) - The abdominal stretch is one of my favourite wrestling submissions, and it really suits a strong and muscular person like Big E. But the reason I love it even more, is his theatrics during the submission.
4. Banks Statement (Sasha Banks) - Devastating submission for a female wrestler. I fear for her back in the long run because of the backstabber that usually leads to the Banks Statement, but the move itself is a true game-ending maneuver.
5. Cloverleaf (Sheamus) - The hold looks really powerful and firm when Sheamus does locks it in, and with his bodyweight on the receiving wrestler, it appears very difficult to get out of.

Bottom 5:
1. STF (John Cena) - The most loosely-applied, poorly-executed, over-acted, tapped-out-even-before-applied, overrated submission move I've ever seen. I can't stand the STF.
2. Yes! Lock (Brie Bella) - Done just to feed off Bryan's popularity, this is another move that pisses me off. I probably would not dislike it so much if it was the only move she adopted from Bryan, or if she was otherwise a good pro-wrestler and had many distinct moves of her own.
3. Bear Hug kinda whatever (Braun Strowman) - This oaf hasn't done anything since he has debuted, other than no-selling people's moves and locking in this submission. Just lock it in randomly and make the guy pass out in seconds. Boooo!
4. Figure-4 Leglock (The Miz) - Never been a big fan of Ric Flair gifting Miz the submission move. It was okay for that angle, but should have been dropped after that. It just doesn't suit him.
5. Patriot Act (Jack Swagger) - I don't really dislike this move; I just wasn't sure what to put at #5. It was a toss-up between this and Del Rio's Cross-Armbreaker (and Ziggler's Sleeper Hold, to an extent); ultimately, I went with the Patriot Act, now probably known as the Patriot Lock.

Calf Crusher AJ Styles - looks good and painful
Hells Gate - UnderTaker - we were all surprised when he started folding people up into this triangle choke variation and it looks hard to escape from.
Walls of Jericho - Y2J - a friend put me in it at 14, it works, I tapped. Also, it's a classic.
Sharpshooter (various) - if only for the iconic image of SCSA refusing to tap.
PTO - Paige - different to s lot of submissions, elevated and she does it like she means it.

That's why my pick is the Lion Tamer, which he still occasionally pulls out. It legitimately looks painful. I believe he was legitimately hurting (not injuring) other wrestlers and it's why they stopped him from doing it.

On a side note, anyone who picks the Walls of Jericho is picking it just because it's Jericho. The Boston Crab is an awful submission move.

Kimura Lock. I don't think we see it enough. We all know there's more to Brock's repertoire than just a bunch of German and Belly to Belly suplexes and the F5, and I would prefer he would use it at least once every match he has (not including house shows) rather than rarely seeing it. Now I know that Brock doesn't actually break people's arms with it, but you most definitely can get a broken arm from it, which actually takes six months to heal up from instead of the two months that Triple H and Mark Henry came back from. And I still don't understand why they did the arm break spot with the Big Show when he came out after Brock beat him at MSG because after that, Big Show was off of TV for about two and a half months and they could and should have used the Kimura Lock spot, as there would have actually been some explanation of why Big Show wasn't around.

Can we count NXT?
If so my top favorite would be:

Samoa Joe's coquina clutch- Always enjoyed seeing Joe use this move. Looks like he is trying to seriously chock the crap out of his opponents. In TNA he would roll his eyes in the back of his head and kind of bounce up and down, and that was the cherry on top for me. One of the main reasons I enjoy this move so much is because 95% of the time he hits it, it is almost guaranteed that the match is over.

Undertaker Hell's gate - Totally unexpected and awesomely executed. Excellent name. Fitting submission to fit the undertaker.

Naomi's spider twist- there's nothing you can really do but tap. I love this move but she dont use it a lot. Also I've seen it done by other people and she doesn't execute it perfectly, but she's does a damn close job.

As much as I dislike Brock I will say I love all of his top moves, especial his submissions.
- Bearhug- Always looked brutal. I was use to seeing big guys hit the bearhug so much it had lost its legitimacy. Brock brought that legitimacy back to it. I think Lesnar making his opponents bleed out of the mouth with that move made it extremely scary.
- Brock lock(leg locked over his neck)- this move hurts. I've taken this move when I was younger and rather I was dangling or on the ground with a knee in my back, that s*** hurts! EASILY MY FAVORITE SUBMISSION OF ALL TIME my favorites were the ones he would hit on cruiserweight like Mysterio.
- Kimura lock - great as we'll. I actually prefer the other two, but this is as legit as it gets.
*Also sorry if it was a lil hard to read, hard to type on the device I'm using*

Biased, but AJ Styles wins for me. Other than that Brock's is awesome as well..

There really aren't a whole lot of submission moves in WWE that actually look devastating lol.

If yoour going by "logic" then technically wcw and ECW would be included in WWE, but wrestling fans don't use logic lol

Anyway I agree 10000% on the loving submission wrestling.. Its like a test of will. Who gives first, the punisher or the punishy. The master or slave. Will they give in to the pain or kick our. Will they slap the mat and say I quit or fight back????

Anyways I'm gonna go watch a Chris Jericho match now lol

For the Poll, I would say the Kimura Lock and the Banks Statement. Both are look painful and look great. But my all-time submissions are Benoit's Crippler Crossface and CM Punk's Anaconda Vise.

1- Brock's Kimura, just because everything he does looks like it hurts for real.

2- Bank Statement, great move, can be applied after a big move, looks painful and...Sasha is awesome.

The best submission is one that looks legit, simple and can be pulled out at anytime.

That being said Brock Lesnar and his Kimura take the cake. How simple is the idea? Break the guys arm. He can do it on the ground or while standing and most importantly I see so many submission maneuvers that take a lot out of the opponent but also out of the one pulling it off like Rack Attack and feel like any move that somehow inflicts damage to yourself is just counterproductive, even if you get a win.

While the Rack Attack was a legit reason Nikki Bella is sidelined right now, so you're right in that sense, how is that a submission move?
