Getting Noticed By Management
even though i have been following ROH from a distance since 2005, i only started buying their dvd's about 6 weeks ago...so i havent seen that much of their stuff...

that being said, what is your favorite ROH match? just curious, may help me with future orders, or just for something to talk about

mine has to be KENTA vs Low Ki from Final Battle 05...KENTA's GHC jr heavyweight title was on the line, this was a badass hard hitting fight...it really takes off after about 15-20 minute mark, when Ki hits the double stomps off the top while KENTA is hanging in the tree of woe, lots of stiff back anf forth action that just elevates to the finish
awesome

Of all the ones I've been able to get my hands on yet, my favorite by a landslide is definitely Danielson vs. Low Ki from The Round Robin Challenege. I enjoyed the card because you get to see them wrestle other styles of competition earlier in the evening and then they tear the house down with some of the most brutal non-hardcore wrestling I've ever seen. I've shown the match to friends who don't even like wrestling and they tell me that if this was what all of it was like, even sports nazis would have to give it props. The match had amazing submission work and smash-mouth offense from both guys including Ki's koppo kicks (especially the springboard variation) and Danielson's finisher and I can go on record as saying that these guys earned twice their money that night.

Sounds cool. I'm going to have to see if I can find that on the net. Do you order your DVD's from ROH direct, or do you buy them at a store? I usually get mine from Wherehouse music for only $9.99 a piece. Hell of a deal.

I could'nt possibly answer that question. There's is just too many to mention. For wrestling I alway's turn to R.O.H. It's where wrestlers go. With so much great talent you're unluck if you get a duff match. Any promotion that's had the like's of Brian Denielson, Austin Aries, James Gibson, Samoa Joe and C.M. Punk is going to be far superior than any other American wrestling promotion. R.O.H. is so good I think they could get along with just wrestling. No storyline's or promos I.M.O.

i have been ordering them direct from ROHwrestling.com...i see that that have different sale specials now and then, most dvds are listed at $20, but thru sales i got mine for $10-$15....well worth it especially if you have ever paid for anything WWE

other fights i liked were Do Fixer vs Blood Generation from Supercard of Honor, and Alex Shelley vs Austin Aries from Manhatten Mayhem...i also like Joe vs Kobashi, or even Danielson vs KENTA from Glory by Honor, night 2

i just love the match progression, how its sort of a dance that just gets quicker and more brutal the longer it goes

i have also shown a couple matches to non wrestling fans, and they couldnt believe that they were actually enjoying it

^I know, man. It's freaking nuts watching these matches sometimes because of the momentum they can capitalize on and just keep building the match to an explosion of pops and the crowd is just insane. They really know how to build off of momentum like the old ECW stuff. I really wish I had the extra money to make the trip to go see those guys. That's the one thing that sucks about living on the west coast.

I've only seen four ROH matches so far, all of them CM Punk matches, 3 of them vs. Samoa Joe and one was a cage match against Raven, I belive of those four that I would have to choose the thrid match between CM Punk and Samoa Joe as my favorite so far, if WWE would let Punk be like he was in ROH....shit, they'd be smart unforuntly they are dumb and want to bury him

Homicide vs Steve Corino - Fight Without Honor

Gonna have to be more specific with this one. Homicide vs. Corino has never been with honor, lol. These two have had some awesome battles but. And i would love to offer up a "great" ROH match, but I can't bring myself to do it. Listing any particular match would be an insult to all the other incredible contests that ROH have delivered over the last 4-5 years. Even the 3 way mainevent between Low-Ki, Danielson and Chris Daniels at the VERY FIRST ROH event is an all-time classic.

Punk VS Aries, Death Before Dishonor III.

Seeing Punk Finally win the big one, and then turn heel with one of the best promos in ROH History is a special moment.

just got Better Than Our Best and Dragon Gate Challenge the other day, all i have done is skimmed thru BTOB about half way, and i have to say WOW to the Austin Aries/ Roderick Strong vs Blood Generation Tag title match...good stuff...in the next few days i'll check out Danielson vs Lance Storm and the Streetfight between Homicide and Colt Cabana...then i'll open DGC...ROH kicks ass

I've been to several ROH shows here in NYC/NJ, but i have to say the most AMAZING match i've ever seen was Bryan Danielson vs. KENTA from Glory By Honor V, Night 2 from the Manahattan Center in NYC...i was there live & the match was AMAZING, so many crazy moves & the crowd was sooooo into it, plus the fact that it was ROH's first show in the Manhattan Center was a big plus, actually, the whole show was amazing, easily one of their best shows ever from top to bottom, not one dull moment

I think that any ROH matches you watch are going to be good. I don't know if I could pick a favorite. I love the Briscoe's and Austin Aries- haven't seen a match yet that was less than stellar from any of those guys. I went to the show in Philly this past weekend and all the matches were great. Hell, even the ring crew guys that wrestled the dark matches were better than most main event matches you see on Monday nights.

I miss Generation Next, that was the best stable ever, Aries,Strong,Styles,Sydal and Evans, anything with them together is just gold. But more spefically The Cabana/Homocide wars. Especially the BTOB street fight and the end of it is priceless when Cide is holding the chair and than drops it to extend his hand. Also, Nigel vs Amdrag at unified.

Any Briscoe tag match is fantastic. I have never seen a tag team as talented and in-sync as Jay and Mark Briscoe. What is amazing is that they are both so young but look like they have been wrestling pro for years. They could school any tag team Vince ever put together. They work their asses off from beginning to end.

Any of the Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk matches. They were all golden, 5 stars all the way. And that's saying a lot considering I personally really don't like Samoa Joe.

Does anybody know what the most harcore match is? I know War of the Wire was good. Sorry for going off topic.

Holy:shit: that first match was awesome! Didnt watch #2 but wow. Alright now what is the best ppv overall that has everything.

:offtopic: Punk and Kingston are awesome on commentary but Prazak sounds like a moron.

Best PPV ? hmmmmm Really cant say, for Hardcore check out everything between CZW and ROH which was Jan 05 to summer 05
In generel though probably one of the Death Before Dishonors or Glory by Honors. Also, the scramble cage matches are very good.
Ill just post a bunch of random matches i think are good later on.
