You Know What's Sad (re: Cena vs. Bryan)?

Uncle Sam

Rear Naked Bloke
Some people sincerely agree with what Bryan said on Monday night. Worse yet, they think it was Bryan supplying the ether.

Here's a summary:

"You're not a wrestler."
"I've beaten the best wrestlers in the world for the last decade. You think I'm nothing but a gimmick - I stop dying children from giving up. You think you're Mr. Big Dick because you've been to Japan, I've been to more countries than there actually are currently in the world. If I'm not a wrestler, how shit does that make you?"
"But but you're not a wrestler. Japan."

Bryan did his best with some pitiful material - almost as if they're trying to make him look bitter and envious - but it's amazing that people are actually backing what he said in that promo.

Have to agree. Cena brought his A-game to that promo. Brians not the best talker, but he hit the points he was aiming for. The meterial was ok. Cena drove the whole thing home though. The slap was the icing on the cake. The intesity all came from Cenas end. He always knows when to take off his shirt.

And its true, and sad, that many people will be sitting at home with their hands stuffed in their pants (my default position) and agree that John Cena isn't a good wrestler. Daniel Bryans a good wrestler too, it should be said. Vince found a way to work the marks... And work them he did. "John Cena can't wrestle", they'll pay money for that on a t-shirt.

He played upon the idiocy of others, good way to go if you ask me. Sadly Cena was fucked the second he became champ with the smarks just for how awful his first title win was. Cena took time after becoming the face of WWE to become a good wrestler and that didn't help his cause with a lot of fans. It also doesn't help that so many IWC fans think knowing a million moves is what makes a great wrestler and not actually getting what really makes a good wrestler.

It just works for Bryan being king of IWC for so many years not to mention his weak link storyline

MY initial reaction is:
Punk knew how to hang with Cena. Punk was probably the best talker of all time to come out of the indie scene but he still couldn't outshine John Cena when they did the contract signing Before Summerslam 2011

Daniel Bryan's promo showed just how flat most of these wrestlers are when they don't depend on the writing team to feed them the tag lines and clever insults.

I pity the next indie midget who wants to get up there and play with Cena. Cena is going to run circles around Austin Aries/Kevin Steen/

I have the Lance Storm ideology - there are wrestlers who have the ability to wrestle and then there are those with limited wrestling ability who can work a good match, such as Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior etc, who while never going to apply a Triangle Choke can bring fans to their feet in excitement. Bryan is very much the wrestler in this situation who doesn't really work, while Cena is a good wrestler, who isn't on the same level as Bryan, but is a much better worker.

All in all Lance Storm is a smart guy, buy his eBook and fuck you!

Lance Storm's blog is great.

It's also hilarious that people ignore how simple most these moves are. Its not as if hulk hogan couldn't have sat down for an hour and learned how to do a figure-four leg lock.

I do think Bryans ability to work a match has improved ten-fold since the YES has caught on. Of course, starting from the position of having the crowd eating out of your hands is a pretty strong advantage.

the guy still doesnt' realize that the entire WWF/WWE locker room wanted to bury him and his emotionless wrestling. He was under the impression that the "boring"-chants were supposed to be some kind of heel gimmick. Are you serious?

OMG. I'm sure wrestlers need his advice on technical details and you know...how to perform the this and the that....but nobody in the wrestling business gives a crap about what he says about promos/gimmicks/matches.

Considering WWE had him spend a week training talents in the Performance Center last week, yeah... you're off. A lot off. Like way off. Like if you were trying to find America on a globe with a fork and ended up sticking it in the back of your head off. Nice to read generic posts from time to time though. Please continue.

in a promo......if those guys make it to the WWE and get the indy marks behind them....do you want to continue to make the smartass remarks?
I'm the smart ass? You want to talk about Kevin Steen in the WWE.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Storm runs a highly successful wrestling school. He's a student of stu hart. Ziggler is one of his students... He also trains a pretty popular guy called Chris Jericho. Plenty of people are interested in what the guy has to say.

...

Also Coco, thats hilarious!!

He is the motherfucking definition of clueless. I never saw a wrestler being as humiliated and getting buried like Lance Storm. "BOOORRRIIIINNNNG"

Ziggler OMG. Why am I not suprised that Ziggler has the shittiest gimmick in all of the WWE?

I've been found out. My real point:

Fuck Lance Storm.

Oh so now you got a problem with Steve Austin and the roster that was behind the wrestling boom in the attitude era? So those guys, they don't get it? They don't understand Lance Storm and his great teachings on promos and gimmicks?
