Ya Know, There Were Some Fine Matches This Year

Is it me or?
OK;

The recent WZ home page article got me thinking.

Ill be blunt: creative buildup was more or less terrible, but the guys in WWE put on some excellent matches this year. From Cesaro vs Zayn on NXT to Wyatts vs Evolution at Extreme Rules, there were some real showstoppers.

WWE has the tools to continue this...if they would just figure out the train wreck that is Creative. Holee Shit....

"Lets push this guy! No, put him on back burner! Lets put Kofi, Big E, and Xavier Woods in a group! No not yet! OK now! No! Yes! Bunny Costume! Total Divas! Lol Cena wins!"

If we could get some decent buildup to these matches, WWE would be back up to the 4s, 5s, even 6s (maybe) in ratings.

We saw glimpses of greatness; the Daniel Bryan storyline was great. But supporting ones were pretty bad. And then we get random feuds like Jericho vs Wyatt or some slop.

Bottom line, WWE knows how to put on a great match. THey just need the goddamn build to it.

I think you meant The Shield vs Evolution, and not The Wyatts. Please correct the error.

I agree. The matches have been pretty good and the 6 man tag matches always delivered.

The build is where everything goes wrong. Sometimes, CreatiVince has no idea what t(he)y do. They promote Ambrose vs Wyatt with no real motive other than filler, yet they give away Rowan vs Wyatt on Smackdown for free, a match that has a history leading up to it. They also play out PPV matches on Raw/Smackdown before the said PPV happens. Remember the Night of Champions match between Rollins and Reigns that didn't happen? Well fun fact : It did happen, and it was on the episode of Raw just 6 days before the PPV, and Reigns won. How is this supposed to be "best for business"? If they want a Sheamus vs Cesaro match at a PPV, you can bet your kidney that the match would have happened once on Raw, once on Main Event and twice on Smackdown.

Bottomline, the WWE shouldn't throw away quality matches for illogical reasons.
