After some more stomps to the foot, Ace kicks over Black. He backs up toward his own side, and comes out running, dropping a big leg on Black. He goes for the cover, but Black kicks out at two. He picks Black up and goes for a kick to the stomach, looking like a set up for a DDT, but Black kicks the leg. Ace hops, and gets his other leg up right into Black’s head for a big enzuigiri! Ace covers him again but Black kicks out at two. Ace returns to some foot stomping, before grabbing the leg, pulling it up high and dropping it back down. Black grabs his lower leg, in visible pain. Ace grins and poses for the crowd. He stomps on the leg area a few more times. Black turns over and lays on his stomach. Ace jumps up and plants both boots into Black’s back, and Black screams in pain. Ace looks to be enjoying himself now, as he whips Black into his corner. He follows and nails him with high knee in the corner. Ace pushes Black up to the top and hits him a few more times, then hooks him, preparing for a superplex. Black fights back, though, resisting the suplex attempt. Ace goes for it again, but Black holds on. Black breaks out of the hold, punches Ace a few times, staggering him. He shoves Ace off the top, who falls down. Black kicks out with his good leg at Big Dave, who falls to the ground, preventing his interference. Black then raises up slowly, the leg that Ace had been attacking wobbling but holding him up. He straightens, leaps into the air, and connects with a huge shooting star legdrop!
Copeland: It’s Black Magic! Black is going to win the tag team titles right here!
The ref counts one, two, but then Kyle Christianson flies into the ring and breaks up the pin, saving the match up. Christianson grabs Ace and pulls him over to his corner, where James Baker tags in. Black, meanwhile, has stood up in the center of the ring, but his leg fails and he falls to one knee. Baker kicks him in the chest a bit, before picking him up. He hooks him and lifts him up, dropping him in a vertical suplex. He plants his boot in Black’s face, and kicks him in the gut. He picks him up and whips him into his corner, where he tags in Christianson. Christianson comes in and places Black up on the top rope, where he follows, leaps, and nails a huge hurricanrana! Black is laid out in the ring, where Christianson follows and hit a standing moonsault! He covers for a one, two, only a two count. Christianson looks frustrated, but stands up, bends over, waiting for a chance to hit The One and Only. Black staggers to his knees, stands up, and Christianson lifts him up, but Black slips out! Christianson turns around, and Black connects with a big enzuigiri! Christianson falls to the mat, as does Black, both facing the same direction – the corner of Ace and Big Dave. Both of them stagger slowly over to the same side.
Copeland: What’s going on here, Cohen? They seem to be headed to the same corner, toward the Daves!
Christianson and Black, both dazed, unaware that they’re headed toward the same side. Christianson reaches out and tags in Ace, while Black reaches out and blindly tags in Big Dave! The Daves look at each other for a moment before entering the ring. They move to the center, unsure of what to do. Ace then gets a sly grin on his face, and drops down to the mat! Catching on, Big Dave follows and covers Ace!
Copeland: Wait a minute, wait a minute! Is this legal!
Cohen: Of course it’s legal! What genius! What innovation! They’ll win right here!
The ref seems unsure for a moment, scratches his head. He then shrugs, realizing it’s not in the rules that the men in the ring have to be on different teams. A little reluctant, he counts one, two…but David Cougar flys off the top rope, dropping an elbow on Big Dave, breaking up the count! Dave rolls to the side, where he tags in Phoenix. Cougar pulls up Ace, whips him into Cougar’s corner, where he quickly slips out of the ring and tags himself in by tagging Ace’s leg! Ace turns around to shout at Dave, but Phoenix runs and knocks him in the back! He leans over the rope, where Cougar pulls him out and hits a big neckbreaker right on the floor! Ace looks knocked out on the floor as Cougar returns to the ring. Phoenix rushes Cougar, but Cougar, near the ropes, elevates Phoenix right over the top rope! Cougar stands alone in the ring as he poses for the crowd. Both Phoenix and Ace have staggered to their feet outside the ring…Cougar looks at them…considers for a moment...then flies out of the ring, taking them both out with a huge suicide dive! All three men are out on the outside of the ring!
