WWE's future getting secured in a click(KLIQ)

Now that Waltman is back, the pieces are finally falling back into an order.. Kevin Nash arrived at the Rumble, Shawn retired last year and Triple H has already started his managerial days by getting Sin Cara and criticizing the FCW and setting his eyes on developmental territories...

Now to think of it...

Triple H--> One of the best minds in wrestling today..

Shawn--> A great trainer.. Look at his protege DBD!! If anything, more are to follow..

Nash--> No one understands the psychology of the big men better than Big Sexy Kevin Nash..

Sean Waltman--> I think he sucks but can help in developing the smaller guys to a fair degree..

And also I guess after a few years we may also see the Kliq in a heel authority figure where we can have these people running rough shed over some faces.. Can make a compelling story as all men have been great heel in the past and can work the mike at will..

So what do you think.. Around 5 years (max) down the line, will the WWE be in a much better position than it is now?? Thoughts, opinions..?? I say YES.. Agree with me, Give me a HELL YEAH!!

Interesting! I had thought about this, after I read that Waltman was hired by the WWE (I still don't completely understand why, given his history).

I didn't think about the Kliq becoming an on-screen heel-stable though. That could really work, kind of like the Corporation was 10+ years ago. It would even work without all four of them, although having those four in "charge" (at least for TV purposes) could get some old-school fans to tune in.

A power-struggle between the Kliq & the McMahon family could make for some interesting storylines, maybe even throw in some Romeo & Juliet type stuff for HHH & Steph. Having any of these dinosaurs wrestling would pretty much stink out loud, but adding some younger blood to the mix might work (Kliq's hand-picked guys vs. McMahon's guys or something like that). Of course, this could also fail miserably.

I don't really want to see any of them wrestling again, sans maybe HHH. Even then, if they were to be the new "Corporation", any matches they would potentially be involved with would have to be saved for special occasions (ie: the way McMahon used to wrestle).

Cool concept, could work.

If you seriously want the Kliq to improve the WWE, the best way to do so is to keep them offscreen and to have them put 100% of their effort and work ethic backstage. I don't want to see them (besides HHH) as active competitors in 2011 or 2012 or any year after that - but I'd love to see them develop active competitors for 2011, 2012, and every year after that.

Despite your lack of respect for Waltman's abilities you acknowledge how good the other 3 men are (and Waltman's mind for the business is just as good - it's his personal choices that hinder him) so they'd do wonders for the WWE behind the scenes. Although an onscreen stable would be great for nostalgia and attitude era fans, I think we've seen enough of that recently with The Rock & SCSA and nostalgia doesn't help define eras - new stars define eras.

The Attitude Era was what it was because of new stars, not people coming back for nostalgic purposes. If any Kliq member is to come back it should be HHH to put over the next generation, not Waltman and Nash forming a stable to take up airtime.

But to answer your question, yes I think that if they stay backstage and stay dedicated to the job at hand the WWE's future is secure in a click HELL YEAH

At first read, I was going to dismiss this as an overzealous, grasping-for-straws type of dreaming, but now that I think about it, minus Hall each member of the "band" has begun integrating themselves with the WWE in some element, and could potentially change the current landscape:

Kevin Nash has the Legends contract, which while is the equivalent of being a British Monarch (doesn't mean half-ass in this day and age, or "purely ceremonial" to save face), can give him a lot of locker room clout with The Undertaker hobbling his way out (sorry).
Triple H (or Capt. Trips as I like to call him, +5 no-points to who ever gets the reference) has made it to the upper echelon, broken the barrier between "independent contractor" and "employee" and actually has an office in HQ. He is a McMahon for all intents and purposes, and with that comes an unbelievable amount of potential power. Just look at the past articles about how it's a totally different atmosphere when he is in charge of the occasional show? Say what you want about his wrestler graveyard (people he's buried), the man has a true passion, a true respect for wrestling, and CAN see talent (signing Sin Cara, turning the eye of Sauron towards FCW). You can't question that his position wouldn't change the Game if he so chooses.
Say what you want about X-Pac (we all have, and still will), he may not be overly over with any crowd, but he's still a decent worker, who's been around for a long time, and can still work. Plus He *could* be the connecting point between the smaller guys who are looking to get noticed, and the larger guys who are looking to have stand-out matches. He may be a tool outside, but he's a tool that works.
Shawn Michaels... Lets face it, he has the WWE right where he wants 'em. He knows that people are on their way out, and what WWE needs right now is someone who knows What To Do, and How to Do it, and who better than Shawn Michaels? The only problem is that Shawn Michaels, doesn't need them, and that might be the biggest political game he's ever played. Sure, he could come back, maybe have a 5-star match with Zack Ryder, duck the Rough Ryder into a Superkick, maybe pose for a comedy spot or two, but how would it benefit him? What would WWE be willing to offer him, for him to come back and work his magic? Maybe something small, maybe induct his boys into the HoF, but then, maybe something bigger, like a Legends contract (which isn't that big) or maybe let him run a show or two... or maybe an office in HQ, apart of Talent Relations or something of the sort. Maybe an ambassador. Before I overreach, let me just bring it home by saying this: Shawn Michaels by retiring may just be the best political move he's made, because especially now, main-event players that aren't stale are a rare commodity, and fresh ideas, fresh ANYTHING are even rarer. I know he's stated he won't wrestle and that he doesn't miss It, but who's to say that he won't come back for other things, besides wrestling, like I don't know, Entertaining? Just a thought.

Oh and an honorable mention will go to one of the forgotten members of the "band" (cuz I hate the word "Kliq") Sunny (The other forgotten member would be Justin Credible). She's the original diva, and hell, she's still hot. With this strange idea that managers as a concept are making a return, why not one of the better managers making a timely appearance to be a mouthpiece (and piece of mouth) for someone who needs it. She may swear up and down that she did not, in fact sleep with Bret, but no one can deny that WWE needs one or two more Sunny Days... Have her there to teach a Diva how to be more than just a Diva: how to walk, talk, work a crowd, and be more than just an arm-piece. I know she didn't do much in the Wrestling department, but that wasn't her job then, and it shouldn't be now. If Lillian Garcia got over w/o taking a bump, and fucking the fattest kid in class, it's because Sunny made that path work first. She can take the girls who can't work inside, and make them work the outside, pure and simple.

And because I just couldn't resist:
Scott Hall, who is in a hospital bed, probably still drinking could probably still cut a better promo than half the roster these days. Probably could still wrestle better than too, if he didn't look like crap when he would wrestle.

It wouldn't surprise me if something like that happened, HHH, Nash, HBK, and Waltman(who has always thought he is more important to the buisness than he really is) they all have the ego's to attempt it and I think it would make for a good storyline. Having HHH chosen few taking on Steffs choices in a battle for the company. But at the same time it would just be another corporate take over storyline along the lines of the NWO. Still like the idea though.

@ Risingtidejc3

Stephen King's The Stand.

HELL YEAH I agree! These four in promimnent backstage roles can transform the product in an astronomically better way if given the tools and the authority to do so. The idea of a Corporation-esque heel stable featuring the four is ingenious, since it's widely publicised that they partook in a lot of backstage politicking as a group while active.

They have the knowledge and the talent to turn WWE back into Must See TV - but will they use their abilities for good (help the company) or for evil (help themselves and their 'chosen few')?

As far as "The Kliq" becoming the head of a heel stable a la The Corporation or the NWO, I don't know. Maybe in a few years when we can really see what kind of fruit their labors give forth, but not now.

btw for those that are shitting on xpac/syxx/sean waltman in this thread, you clearly havent read jericho's "Undisputed." Wherein Vince tears Jericho a new asshole for his work in the ring early in his WWE career calling him the "drizzling shits" and then saying that he'll only be working with pac because if you can't work with him, you can't work with anyone..

Basically pac was the good worker in the ring who could get a decent/good match out of anyone... Say what you will about his personal choices, but he was good in the ring and knew what the WWE wanted...

I like it. They are all incredibly smart. Watch ANY Hall, Nash, etc shoot and these guys are fucking brilliant. Especially Hall. I think if you put the future in their hands, it'll be great. they don't have to get themselves over, so there is no percieved or real political positioning.

In Pac's prime he was pretty awesome. Hall and Nash both have great minds, same with HHH and HBK. Give them all jobs, maybe not Hall, but if he cleans his shit up then yea. They all basically started the last wrestling revolution. Yea Austin was there too, but a bulk of the work was started by these guys. Hall even came up with the crow Sting. nWo, DX, Crow sting, that's basically the Tude era. austin and Rock could exist because of the climate created by the other guys. Not saying they wouldn't be awesome otherwise but I really feel like the Kliq made the Tude era for the most part.

I think backstage it would be great, on camera I'm not so sure. All 4 of them could go in the ring, Nash was very talented for a man his size. All of them could work the camera, talk on the stick, and get a reaction from the crowd. (although admittedly not so much with Waltman) They have a lot to offer to help train the younger talent. But above all else, they were all 'idea men'. They were all coming up with storyline ideas, for themselves and for others, especially in the mid 90's. So they would also have a hell of an impact on creative process if they wanted.

I like the ideas presented here. There is no use in repeating what others have already said about how the Kliq can help secure the future of the company, etc, etc. I have to ask all of you something, though. Let's say Michaels comes back as proposed earlier in the thread, as a trainer/talent enhancer or what not along with Waltman. Michaels' greatest protege from his Texas academy is undoubtedly Bryan Danielson. He is not really getting used to his greatest potential right now. Would having Michaels in his corner change things for him? Would he be able to become The American Dragon in the E???
