F*ck Friends, Rather die wiv ma AK!
Randy Savage worked for WWE from 1985-1994,
then worked for WCW from 1994-2000...

He had a fair share of accomplishments in each promotion..before retiring in 2005 and focusing on his rap career...

He was in one of the greatest matches to ever take palce at Wrestlemania...Joined argubly the best stable in Pro Wrestling in WCW and won multiple world titles...

His accomplishments:

WWF
2 time WWF Champion
1 time Intercontinental Champion
King of the Ring winner (1987)
King of the Ring Runner-up (1988)
Royal Rumble Runner-up (1993)

WCW
4 time WCW World Heavyweight Champion
WCW World War (1995)

Looking at accomplishments, feuds, impact he created etc.. What would you say? Randy Savage in WWF/E or WCW??

I would have to say WWF/E, firstly, he was there longer, he got a push straight away...Stole the show at Wrestlemania with Steamboat...later won his first World title at Wrestlemania...and then later fueds were pretty decent as well...Plus..he was more colorful in WWE than he was WCW...

What would you say??

Id agree his best years were in the WWE. He was in his prime and was a top face during the Rock n Wrestling Era. He had great matches and story lines with the likes of Hogan, Warrior, Flair Steamboat
He had a decent run in WCW but his in ring career was winding down. He was a filler in the nWo and had a bunch of recycled feuds.

WWF was without a doubt! It's where he found Elizabeth, held the IC title over a year, his first WWF title ran from Wrestlemania IV where he defeated 4 guys in the tournament to win the belt, to Wrestlemanina V where he dropped it to Hogan! Lets not forget he was the King of WWF from 89-91 until he lost to the Warrior in the retirement match at Wrestlemania VII! At Wrestlemanina 8 he and Ric Flair had an awesome match, prob the best match in Ric Flair first run with the WWF! His fueds with Flair, Jake Roberts, the Warrior, and the matches where he teamed with Zeus to face Beefcake and Hogan where all awesome, even towards the end of his run his feud with Crush was good, and the had a great match at Wrestlemanina X, in fact the only wrestlemanina match that kinda bombed for me was with Wrestlemania 2 with George Steele, however any ppv match he had after that was a classic!

In WCW he had maybe 2 good feuds, with Flair, and with DDP! Sure he held the belt, his WCW run was what it was because of what he did in the WWF!!
Anyway I hope someday Vince McMahon does do the write thing and puts the Macho Man as the main event in a Hall of Fame ceremony!

Like Hogan, Savage was in his prime while in the WWF. Savage, while always charismatic and just plain entertaining to watch in the ring, he just felt more important to me in the WWF. I think that Savage's accomplishments in the WWF far outshine his WCW World Heavyweight Championship wins.

Randy Savage has to be considered among the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time. He held the title for over a year and was a good champ. Savage winning the WWF Championship at WrestleMania IV was, as far as accomplishments go, probably the highlight of his career. He'd been chasing the title on and off since his arrival in the WWF, had to wrestle against 4 men in one night to win it and held it for more than a year. Randy Savage is one of the longest reigning world champs to come out of the WWE in the past 25 years. He wound up winning the title again in 1992, also at a WrestleMania, by beating Ric Flair for it in front of about 70,000+ fans. His second run wasn't nearly as great, but many of Savage's greatest moments came while he was in the WWF.

In WCW, Savage also had his moments but some of the fire was gone, he was older and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship just didn't mean as much in the eyes of a lot of people. Particularly the last few years of WCW's existence. Savage won the title 4 times, that's true, but those 4 reigns totaled 53 days. Hell, the last 2 reigns he had with the title only lasted a single day each.

Hogan, Hall, and Nash all made a new identity in the WCW. Savage didn't. Savage is synonymous with the WWE.

Savage's title reigns were, by far, more meaningful in the WWE.

Savage was usually the #1 or #2 guy in the WWE. Even when Savage held the WCW Heavyweight title, he wasn't the #1 or #2. Hell, he wasn't even #3 or #4.

In my eyes, there is no way WCW is the right choice here. I'm hoping this poll is unanimous in favor of WWE.

EDIT: Who voted for WCW?

I would have to say his WWF run was more impressive, the only reason why he got pushed hard in WCW was because of what he did in the WWF and what he meant there. If he didn't become popular in the WWF, who is to say he would have been as successful in WCW?

It's been said a lot in this thread already, Randy Savage accomplishments were a lot greater during his time with WWF, he held the championships for a longer period, and actually ment more to the show in WWF than he did in WCW.

WWF made Savage a star, Savage was one of the guys in WWF, something I wouldn't exactly say he was in WCW, and his legacy in WWF will in my eyes, in many people's eyes, be regarded as far greater as to what his legacy was in WCW.

I agree that his run in WWF was a little more prominent, however u can't disclude the fact that he had many successful runs in WCW.

However I want to point out that in WCW his identity did change, because he went from being Mr. Slim Jim big hats to crazed mad man Macho Man who hits Elizabeth, too out of control for NWO to eventually Mr. Suave I got three chicks.

He was, like almost any wrestler that went from WWE/F to WCW, was much better in
WWE.

I can't think of a single person that this wouldn't apply to.

Hogan, Nash, Savage, Warrior, Hall, DiBiase, Hennig, Hart. Any big name wrestler that left WWE for WCW made their name under Vince, and without this, anything they did in WCW would have been meaningless.

WWE always created the stars, WCW bought them when they were established. It is for this reason that the accomplishments can not be compared. Because of what they did in WWE, they were expected to be a success in WCW.

No contest, at all. WWF. It wasn't just the titles, because those are just TV props, but the quality of his matches. In the WWF, Savage was still light heavyweight size, and hadn't pumped to freaky levels yet...ie, he could still move pretty damn well in the ring. In reality, we are talking about two completely different wrestlers. The Randy Savage in the WWF was a workaholic, light, quick, probably a bit undersized for the competition he was going against. Physically, he wasn't overly muscular, he was just in good shape. In WCW, Savage bulked up, and gave up his speed for muscle, similar to what Scott Steiner did (only not nearly to the same extent). WWF Savage and WCW Savage had completely different wrestling styles, as a result of having two completely different body types. When I think of Randy Savage though, I think of the feud with Ricky Steamboat, Sensational Sherri, the Mega Powers, Elizabeth, the Summerslam wedding, the ridiculous outfits he wore as the Macho King, I think of Wrestlemania IV where he won the title. What I don't think about is his feud with DDP, I don't think about how WCW wasted him by relegating him to a background role in the nWo, nor do I think about the uselessness of Gorgeous George or Miss Madness. In WCW, for a long time, Savage was wasting time.

The general consensus seems to be that Randy "lost his fire" when he lost Elizabeth and that he was pretty much in limbo after they parted ways, perhaps if she was still by his side he'd have accomplished more in WCW

I enjoyed him the most in the WWE, he was a top star probably top 3. He and Hogan were big draws for the WWE and their match was absolutely awesome. I loved Randy Savage in the WWE/F and hope he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame one day. But he nailed Stephanie.
