WWE Vengeance 2011 - R-Truth & Miz vs CM Punk & HHH

This might just be the most interesting match on the card. The storyline with Punk, Trips, and the conspiracy has been getting out of control. I fully expect Miz and Truth to come out of this match victorious. They need to be seen as a bigger threat and the win here would help them. Punk and Trips getting along perfectly is hardly going to happen because up until just recent they hated each other. Some type of disagreement between them might cost them the match. That is, if Nash doesn't text himself to get rid of Punk again or something.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
The Miz and R-Truth will defeat CM Punk and Triple H.

This match should be very simple. Punk and Hunter need to absolutely dominate for the months of abuse that they took from Miz and Truth. If they dont then all of it was pointless. HHH lost his job and Punk was assaulted on multiple occasions by them. This should be the biggest no brainer on the card.

The match as a match probably won't be anything special. Punk is great but, the Miz and R-Truth aren't really known for their ability and HHH? Meh. What this match really needs is a massive interference that no-one could see coming, to keep this storyline alive. 2 months ago, the WWE looked like they had the angle of the decade on their hands but, all of a sudden it all vanished. It's still has some intrigue left in it, but they need something major to happen to really keep the steam going. I hope Punk doesn't go after the World title, he should stay in this storyline, in my opinion. The matcch probably won't be the best of all-time but, I expect the finish to be HUGE.
MY PREDICTION: Punk and HHH by DQ.

Heck, even us Moderators can be wrong every once in awhile.Well, me at least anyway.:p

In a thread dedicated to the when and how HHH would turn heel, I attempted to end that logic because I believed that there was no way HHH could successfully turn heel. After all, the man who he was at odds with stuck by him, and even dropped his accusations towards HHH. However, a comment from Jerry Lawler from Raw sprung to mind. In a bit of possible forshadowing, Lawler responded to a comment from Cole saying that HHH had a large beef with Truth and Miz with this:

HHH doesn't just have a beef with Miz and Truth. He has a beef with alot of people.

Who's to say that his biggest beef isn't still with CM Punk? Who started the entire issue over HHH sucking as a COO? Who's to say, even though Punk went about it the right way, that HHH doesn't blame Punk for losing his job? It's entirely plausible once Ive given it some thought. HHH has a way to spin things as a heel better then anyoneIve ever seen, and almost make himself seem to right. I could imagine HHH turning on Punk and blaming him the following night costing him his job as COO. It could, in theory, kick off a huge feud with Punk that barely got started before.

Miz and Truth are another story. Obviously, HHH has a beef with them as well, a large one. He attacked them at Hell in A Cell, and fired them the next night on Raw. So, HHH has a beef with all three men in the ring. But who does he have the larger one with?

On one hand, there's Miz and Truth. They were the responsible parties for the walkout that lead to HHH being removed as COO. Their destruction at HIAC in their tag team match and then in the main event lead to the lack of people beking safety. However, does the cart come before the horse here? Punk was the first who was outspoken about HHH as COO, and even battled him at NOC in a NO-DQ match. Who's to say that Punk fighting the COO didnt set the catalyst for the "out of control" enviroment on Raw in the first place? It's a plausible argument heel HHH could argue, and Im leaning toward that happening now. HHH will turn on Punk during the match, not helping Miz and Truth, but simply getting "vengeance" on CM Punk.

LSN's Prediction: HHH turns heel and turns on CM Punk, allowing Miz and Truth to pick up the victory.

I don't get why people are upset with HHH and Punk teaming. Several weeks ago Punk said he was wrong about HHH. He said he was wrong about the whole thing. Said he doesn't like HHH but he respects him. All that shit. Plus the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The lesser of two evils. All that cliche shit fits this to a tee. How does it NOT make sense is my question? I find that HHH and HBK becoming friends again after HHH tried to break his fucking back was more strange. I mean, I hate the New York Mets more than Punk's character hated HHH. Seriously, everyday when I pray, at the end I add "and God please make the Mets go 0-162 next year" however, I wanted the Mets to WIN and was rooting for them against the Cards because I'm a Braves fan.

It really isn't that out of character. HHH was pretty reserved with Punk most of the feud and only got pissed when Punk's schoolyard "your girlfriend is fat" type of antics really got to him.

This will be a great match and hopefully have a great angle at the end.

I'm looking forward to this match more than the WWE title match. I can definitely see someone interfering in this match. HHH was the one that fired Nash so Johnny Ace would rehire him to get back at HHH then Nash interferes or Vince could screw him over. There won't be a clean pin in this match and I can't see the faces winning this time.

Prediction - Awesome Truth will win (with help).

A HHH heel turn could happen here. Yeah, we all know Punk "respects" HHH, but there could still be some bad blood between these two. HHH usually reminds us of how he can be the same damn guy he's always been. HHH can still be the mean, bad ass, sledgehammer swinging cerebral assassin, and a heel turn wouldn't surprise me too much, because the pairing between Punk and HHH does seem too good to be true.

I'll go with Miz and R-Truth in this match. They have gained some nice momentum as heels, and the conspiracy storyline is far from over. I do expect some type of shenanigans in this match. Truth and Miz could receive some help here, and we should learn more about the conspiracy after this match.

Intruiging to say the least, but simply cant shake the feeling of it being an appetizer to Survivor Series. Could have some pretty good heat though, as im sure everyone knows this is the main heat angle, and the entrance to actual sanctioned physical altercation.

Pretty much no way I dont see Miz and R-truth coming out on top, since if they dont, it sorta ruins the heat of the angle, when this match should be used to draw up the heat of the angle.

I think everything surrounding the match and its implications will be bigger and better than the match itself. Truth and Miz with the W.

Definitely agree with Norcal, having Truth and Miz lose would kill their heat that they have been building for quite some time, and there is no way they're losing it. I'm not sure how they're gonna beat such a beastly team in HHH and Punk, perhaps some interference from Kevin Nash? Anyway I do believe it will be a very entertaining match and it's going to push Truth and Miz to the next level, I'm very surprised they havent won the tag titles yet and become super dominant but my guess is that's not the direction they're going in and their main goal is going to be causing chaos.
Gunslinger's Prediction
Truth and Miz Win

I don't see this match having a clean finish. All this is doing is setting up a final confrontation at Survivor Series. I'm guessing Kevin Nash makes a comeback and interferes through the crowd and allows Miz and Truth to come out on top. Should be a decent match but I really don't see this match serving any purpose other than to build up towards Survivor Series (assuming Punk doesn't compete in a title match at the event, that is).
