WWE Roadblock: Seth Rollins VS Chris Jericho

ShinChan

Gone. For. Good.
This inevitable match was made official on Raw yesterday.

I can see only two logical results. Either Rollins wins this clean and then moves onto Triple H for Royal Rumble. Or Triple H costs him this match.

I think that making it a No. 1 contender match for WWE Universal Championship could increase the stakes. By doing so, Triple H can again screw Rollins out of a title opportunity and we can see Triple H Vs. Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble.

No need to drag this match until Wrestlemania.

I really like the idea of the match being for the number one contendership, only if Triple H does cost Rollins. We need to have Jericho vs Owens for the title, even if it's just at the rumble.

I agree.

I don't think that there's anyone viable for fighting Kevin Owens for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble. Plus, Owens could benefit from a rub off Jericho. Balor is injured. Reigns is US champion. We already saw Rollins Vs. Owens multiple times. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg are in for Royal Rumble. That leaves us with Jericho only. Rusev is a heel.

Reigns can fight Braun Strowman at Royal Rumble for the US title.

Unless, Reigns wins Universal Title at Roadblock itself.

It'd be kinda fun for this to be a #1 contender's match, but I don't think they'll add that stipulation.

As has been mentioned, I ultimately think that this match is ultimately to give Rollins something to do this month before he gets another shot at Owens at the Royal Rumble, a shot in which Triple H will cost him via interference somehow thereby leading to their match up for WrestleMania.

We've seen this match take place on Raw a couple of times, they were both entertaining and I've little doubt this one will be as well. I think there'll be an aura of this bout being a bit closer than the other times; Rollins will still win but Jericho will come off looking stronger than in his previous outings against him when you consider how strong he looked against Reigns last night.

I think that Rollins Vs. Kevin Owens should be over now and I don't want another match between Owens and Rollins for the title, especially at Royal Rumble. Jericho Vs. Owens is a much better option since we have yet to see it. Owens could gain something by defeating Chris Jericho for the first time instead of defeating Rollins thrice.

If this is just a match, then Rollins has no reason to lose and HHH has no reason to cost him this match. But a #1 contender's match would be the real deal here. That would mean an automatic Triple H return and would set more eyes on the match.

i'd have Rollins vs. Jericho for the Universial title match at the rumble....have Rollins beat him here (with Owens accidently costing Jericho) then have Rollins move onto Owens at the Royal Rumble while Jericho enters the Royal Rumble....

as for Jericho vs. Owens, i have two ideas....either 1) have Jericho win the Royal Rumble (seriously, has Jericho ever won a royal rumble??) or 2) have Owens screw Jericho out of the rumble and have either Joe win it (to challenge AJ Styles) or have Finn Balor win it, then have Jericho attack Owens and set up a triple threat with Owens, Balor and Jericho.

as for Rollins, this is easy booking. have a title match and if Rollins loses, he can never challenge Owens for the Championship as long as Owens is holding his current reign....then in that match, have Triple H or Stephanie McMahon (take your pick) screw Seth Rollins out of that match to then set up the Triple H vs. Seth Rollins WM match.

I can't take Jericho serious as a threat to Rollins. He's already lost to Rollins clean.

Rollins win, looks strong going into RR.

Reigns probably will fight Owens again. I can see this dragging out through Fast Lane, just to tease the Universal title picture may change up prior to WM.

Rollins might get himself into a multi-man match for the Universal Title at Elimination Chamber, only for HHH to screw him there. HHH probably will make an appearance somewhere at RR, but he should face Rollins 1v1 at WM.

RoadBlock:
Owens def. Reigns clean (important - owens needs some momentum)
Rollins def. Jericho (Owens accidentally costing him).

On the Raw after RoadBlock it's announced that the main event will be a six pac challenge match to determinate the No.1 Contender for the title at the rumble. The match is:
Roman Reigns vs Chris Jericho vs Seth Rollins vs Braun Strowman vs Sheamus vs Cesaro
The match is a brutal 20 minute match, until Strowman destroys everyone, but Reigns attacks him and both man brawl to the crowd. Then Rollins pedigrees Cesaro only to be brough kick by Sheamus. Then out of nowhere Owens comes in, pop up powerbombs Sheamus, and allowing Jericho to pin him (after a lionsault by Jericho). Then Owens and Jericho are smiling and raise each other's hand.
Then (or on Raw the next week), have Jericho and Owens come out with a contract (Owens signs in the start of the segment) revealing their plan to get Owens an easy title match at the rumble, as Jericho will just lie down to him. He says they are going to do an even bigger scandal then the Fingerpoke of Doom.
Then he says that he recieved "the gift of Jericho...drink it in man". And as he turns around he eats a codebreaker from Jericho.
Jericho then takes the mic saying: "I really didn't need you. And you know what? It's good that you counted on your best paul to right a good contract for out match. And I have a real "gift of Jericho" to give you, because at the Royal Rumble PPV our match...will be a Street Fight!... And Owens after that match you will NEVER (EVER)...you will NEVER (EVER)...you will never be the same again!" (Jericho drops mic, signs the contract, gives a kick to the mid section of Owens (who is lying below him), takes the Universal title and raises it up in the air).
