WWE Raw Intro

Pre-Show Stalwart
So I noticed this in the last couple of weeks in the new Raw intro video (which I think is awsome btw, esp the WWE Then, Now, Forever...thats a nice touch)

Anyways, here is my question, at the end of the video if you notice it ends with Sheamus now instead of John Cena. This is in NO WAY a Cena bashing thread so leave all of that out please. But since Cena is the face of the company the intro always has ended with him for the better part of the last couple of years.

Now im not saying that they are going to make Sheamus the face of the company or anything but i find that very interesting especially considering that Sheamus is Smackdown's champion.

But is this in anyway WWE's way of not shoving Cena in our face as a lot of people would say.

And also i just wanted to mention that in the promo for the triple threat match for the WWE title at SS they showed Cena then Show then Punk, usually its always Cena last.

I could be reading too much into things but the question is that are these little things some ways that the WWE is trying to not "shove" cena in our faces now?

There might be a slight chance of WWE slowly preparing itself (and its fans) for a day (in the not-near-future) when John Cena won't be the face of the company anymore. In other words, they might be trying to not make him as "absolute" as they have been making in the last couple of years, yes.

It pretty simple really, it's because WWE wants and thinks Sheamus will be the next "GUY" for the WWE. He has a unique look & is good in the ring. They are preping him to be the next Hogan, Cena, etc.

And the way WWE lightly(<-sarcasim) trys to let us know that they want him to be that guy is by forcing him down our throats(<-not sarcasim).

No, SERIOUSLY! Ever since this "Reality Era" as some have dubbed it, WWE seems more up front in SOME aspects. UNFORTUNATELY, this is one of those negative aspects where they just don't stop till we give in aka. Weapon W(sad attempt at a X-Men reference) #1 - John Cena.

But hey it worked. And I think most will agree Sheamus is better than Cena, atleast in the ring.

So I see it some-what lasting till a REAL competetitor (Stone Cold/CM Punk currently) or athlete (Lesnar) or showman (HBK) or technical genius (Bret *cough maybe Bryan cough*) or body builder(Hogan) or 3rd Generation Star (Rock/Orton kinda) or Absolute Giant (Andre) replaces him.

Well if you notice Cena is at the beginning of the video, so why does he need to be at the end too? So no it's not a big deal. Cena will be the face as long as he holds up.

Yeah I am thinking too much is being looked into this. Cena is at the beginning of the video so really no need to have him again. I think they do want Sheamus to be on the same level with Cena though. In this case though I don't think it means much.

Sheamus>cena. just dont like cena. only time i ever cared much for cena is when he first debuted on smackdown, and when him and b2 (bull bucanan) was teaming against eddie and chavo. chavo and eddie did a backstage skit with cena and b2 where they was saying word to your mother or somethng like that. cracked me up. smackdown was awesome in those days. i think it was paul heymans stuff in that era. i thought smackdown was getter then raw at that time.

i dont mind sheamus, hes pretty cool. i dont think he will ever reach the star power that cena is to the company, but he is pretty cool. first time i had heard of him, a friend of mine asked me if i thought sheamus was any good, and i hadnt heard of him at that time. just really got back into watching the wwe last couple months, after leaving watching the product early 2006. i hope to see more of sheamus in the coming years. as of right now, he is one of my favorites, along with punk, bryan, slater, a.j, santino, and ziggler. heath slater may be playing the jobber role at this time, but he does it so well. love the one man band gimmick.

Hate to burst your bubble but David Otunga is also in that intro. Right under the W, sorry but you're looking too much into this. Just because the showed Sheamus doesn't mean anything.

I don't mean any disrespect at all, but i think you are looking too much into that, Cena is at the begining, so in my opinion, i don't think that this means that Cena is out and Sheamus is in, because Sheamus is the WHC, so that means that even if he appears on Raw, he's still Smackdown's property.......
