WWE Payback - The Shield VS Evolution II

because entire point of the program is to put the Shield over, plus Batista is going away very soon, if not tonight.

I have immense expectations for this. I have loved everything about the build, everything about the first match, everything about the whole program.

Reigns to stand tall and look strong in the end.

Yes the point is The Shield to stand strong, but what about HHH? He will know that if Reigns gets the victory over him tonight (let's face it, no one else in The Shield will pin him if The Shield does win) that the Summerslam one on one match won't be as special because Reigns has already beat him. I just think HHH should walk away with the win to add some heat on to his feud with Roman so the fans can invest in HHH v Roman Reigns in the future instead of Evolution v The Shield.

One thing no one has really explained is ... if this is a NO HOLDS BARRED Elimination Match ... then what is stopping anyone from either team from just NOT going to the back after being eliminated? If you can't be DQ'd then why wouldn't you just stay out and help your team win?

What they should have done is before this match took place, address that issue and then add in something like, when you get eliminated you will be taken to the back by security and handcuffed to a post in the back until one team wins. That would have made it more believable.

I loved what they did with this match. They worked it to the point all three Shield members shined equally. Reigns took most of the beatings, yes, but offensively they were that same cohesive unit that they were when they first debuted. I don't think even the most anti-Reigns smarks can take issue with this one tonight. I very much expected Reigns to be the last man standing, but I'm really happy with the match, the finish and the final outcome. Excited to see what they do going forward. Reigns and HHH staredown during the match got a nice pop, you'd have to think that's a match going forward for Summerslam.

I liked the match overall and the first and final 10 minutes were awesome! I don't understand why they started following a traditional tag team match rules in the middle, which slowed down the pace of the match significantly...
Instead of a 40-minute or so match, they could have had a 30-minute match with 10-minute less in-ring action towards the middle of the match. I also missed seeing Seth Rollins' finisher; since its no holds barred, I thought it would see one execution... but I won't complain.
All respect to Evolution for selflessly losing 0-3 against The Shield.

Triple H always burying vanilla indy midget jobbers!!!

Was so glad for this ending. I'd just got off watching a tonne of Nitros where old stooges defeat younger dudes and wreck their momentum. This was good stuff and I hope it could lead to a non-acrimonious break-up: they've defeated three top liners clean as a whistle and having five or six stars in one match makes the card weaken. Spread them about, have them team up now and again, easy money. Glad Ambrose got a chance to get his stuff in too.

Here's the thing, my man. It's one thing to work together as a team, another to work a single's match. Evolution hasn't really teamed together in ten years other than Extreme Rules, while the Shield have been together since Survivor Series 2012. A great team always beats great individuals, it's been said, and The Shield have shown that to be true over and again in the almost two years they've been on the main roster.

And still, Evolution dominated much of the match and it was only because they wanted to end Reigns career as HHH had promised that the Shield were able to rebound and win. HHH was the last of the three Evolution guys to go down, to 3 on 1 at that. There's plenty he can do to get heat back to make a match with Reigns at Summerslam feel big. But for it to feel big, you have to keep putting Reigns over. He loses last night, then who cares about he and HHH at Summerslam?

Well my prediction was completely wrong haha, they did it in a way that no-one expected. Still, I'm glad The Shield won with all 3 of them looking good, not just Reigns.

I liked the sheild vs evolution II, but I do not think it was as good as there match at Extreme Rules.

There second match just seemed a bit more slower and it lost my interest halfway through.
