WWE New Year's Resolutions

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
The new year of 2017 is right around the corner and most of us look upon that time as an opportunity for new beginnings, to reinvent oneself, to change bad habits, to better themselves, etc. and I'm curious as to what everyone thinks the resolutions for WWE should be in 2017.

Be serious with your answers, don't just type stuff like "WWE SUX" or some other usual, typical troll response. Point out what you think is wrong, how you hope WWE will address and fix it in the coming year.

Of course, the thing about resolutions is that almost everyone winds up breaking them almost as soon as they begin. So, all in all, it might be easier to come up with what you feel is something WWE can realistically do to improve itself in your opinion.

Real Champions....

The champions see fake, setting aside the obvious wrestling sterotype of scripts and what not.

The Miz seems to be a legit champion he carries the IC title as a heel very well and I buy him as the IC champion.

The rest seem like the title is more of a side show prop to thier title regins.

AJ styles vs Amboring was the lamest story in awhile, I don't buy Ambrose is on styles level. Instead of having real talent face him like a undertaker, lesnar or Orton they take a move them into a sorry excuse for a tag team champion.

Orton is a world champion and should be in that picture not just randomly tossed into the tag title picture with Wyatt which leads in to Raw doing the exact same thing....Throwing again two singles guys who should both be beating on Owens for the title into a tag title picture.

Two guys who can't get along are running rough shot over teams that have been working as 1 unit for years. There is no team on Smackdown that can our should hold a candle to bray and orton. Maybe the USOS, but the fans seem to be down on them and with 1 hurt it seems unlikely.

Raw is a little more convincing with Sheamus and Cesaro but again we look at the same thing, New day 3 on 2 can't win even though they have been running together longer than most teams. It makes no sense.

Roman as the United States champ is again a waste, thier is not real prestige in the US title and Roman really does belong in the title picture....Not carrying the pointless title.

Sheamus and Cesaro should drop the titles to the club and begin recruitment to counter New day 3. Sheamus and Cesaro should be split up then and be sent to the world title chase.

Women's division seems to be the most solid and I am happy to see charlotte's ppv streak continue, even if I am not a fan of hers at all.

Okay we'll take RAW first.

The first thing I would do is to shake up the main event scene. Don't know about anyone else but I'm tired of seeing the Shield guys fighting for every title except the Tag team title. If you are going to put Rollins in a feud with HHH, then get HHH and his arse out there to at least promote it. This is turning into the Undertaker/Wyatt match at Mania a couple of years ago. Wyatt carried that on his own, Taker was represented by a bolt of lightening. HHH is nowhere to be seen. Why Rusev isn't involved in this group I have no idea. He is a legit contender for the WWE title not wasting his time with Enzo and Cass. Also take Lana out of it and put her in the women's division.

Put Reigns in concrete feud for the US Title. Right now he is doing nothing with it, except carrying it around. Why he's feuding with Owens I have no idea, defend your own title first. Sami Zayn or Braun Strowman should be going after him. Let that bunch mix it up for awhile.

Take Enzo out of the equation and put him in the cruiserweight division. Cass is better off as a singles wrestler and if done right can have a legitimate run. As long as they don't screw it up again. He is more over than most at this point in time.

When Balor returns, I hope to see him reform the Bullet Club and take over RAW. But we'll have to see how and when that will work. Seems that everything is up in the air until his return.

As for Smackdown.

James Ellesworth has run his course and needs to go take a backseat now. Give him is title shot, have Styles beat the living daylights out of him and then send him to the lower midcard or the CW's.

Ambrose and Miz would make a good feud for the IC title, but leave it on Miz. Like another poster said, he has done more the for the title than anyone else has. The way Miz treats the IC title compared to the way Reigns treats the US title is like night and day. Miz actually cares that he has it like the way Cena treated the US title. They both made them a big deal, not just something to throw over your shoulder as your walking down the ramp.

Hoping that Samoa Joe gets called up soon and goes to SD. I would love to see him in a feud with Styles, barring that put Bray or Orton into the main event scene. Orton isn't getting any younger and with his shoulder one more injury could do him in. I would like to see him hold the title one more time before he hangs up his boots.

The tag division will work itself out but they have to start booking America Alpha just a little better. These guys are incredibly over and again look like they can go with anyone on the roster. The Uso heel turn has done them a world of good, so you have three teams AA, Uso's and Wyatt's sitting on the top of the heap. Any of the three would be championship material.

Alexa Bliss is holding her own, and with Mickie James rumoured to be on the way, this should be good. Again you have 4-6 women that can at anytime hold the title and be believed. So not worried about them at all.

As we head into this Mania season, SD seems to be doing better overall with their booking and their storylines. Hopefully that will continue to be the case going forward. RAW has a lot of shit to sort out, put the right people into the right feuds, and they will be okay as well.

This has been discussed tangentially in some other threads recently, but I would love to see the leash be loosened on some of these talents to do their own promos and be able to invest their own personalities into their gimmicks.

Having been a fan of wrestling for over 30 years, it is clear that when a performer is allowed to tweak a gimmick to his/her own personality, then that character is far and away better than when every facet of it is being scripted.

Like when they were trying to make Cesaro quote movie one-liners or any of the millions of examples when the "zingers" were completely scripted and forced.. scrap that. Let these men and women show us what they can or can't do on the mic, or with their assigned gimmicks, on their own.

A brand new creative staff for Raw. The show just isn't interesting and a chunk of that blame is on creative. Look what SD Live does with less time and talent.

Cut the PPV schedule way down to ease the over saturation of wrestling. We're at a point now where there's a PPV every two weeks. Ugh.

Bring back Halloween Havoc instead of a Halloween Raw like they always do. I miss HH.
