RAW​

The show opens with the usual pyrotechnics followed by Jonathon Coachman's music, as he makes his way down to the ring with a microphone looking very serious.

He addresses the events that occurred last night in the main event of Backlash, and tells the crowd and locker room that he takes full responsibility for the loss of the Intercontinental Title. He continues by saying that he intends to make up for it and has invited Theodore Long to RAW tonight to hear out a proposal. Coach announces that as many of us are aware, Judgement Day is host to the ‘King Of The Ring’ tournament, which this year, he suggests, will involve both RAW and Smackdown talents. He then finishes by saying that this year, not only will the winner gain the title of ‘King Of The Ring’, they will also go on to compete in a second match for the Intercontinental Champion, making it possible for the belt to move back over to RAW.

Suddenly, Theodore Long’s music hits and he makes his way out of the entranceway to the top of the ramp. He agrees with Coach that it is an interesting proposal, and one that he will accept but only under his conditions. Long says he accepts, so long as he can decide the conditions and stipulations of the match at Judgement Day. He finishes by saying that it will also be Coach’s one and only chance to take back the Intercontinental Championship under his reign. Coach thinks over the proposition during a brief pause, before confirming and accepting the conditions, to the approval of the sold out crowd.

Long’s music hits and he leaves with a confident smile as Coach looks unsure of his decision.

Backstage, NME are shown together in a private box overlooking the ring, with Edge and Melina trying to comfort Nitro & Mercury, who lost the World Tag Title belts to the Hardys last night. There is a knock at the door and Kennedy enters. He says that tonight they are going to destroy Team Xtreme and Carlito to the point where they’ll be making their title defences on crutches and in wheelchairs. Nitro & Mercury come round to the idea, getting fired up with Kennedy as Edge & Melina join in.

Back in the ring, a tournament table appears on the screen and 16 of RAW’s top superstars’ names are randomly generated into matches, resulting in:

J.R. announces that superstars notably missing from the tournament, such as John Cena, The World’s Greatest Tag Team and the Highlanders, are recovering after ‘injuries sustained at last night’s PPV’.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Edge vs. Rob Conway

Rob Conway’s music hits and he comes down to the ring looking focused, with the crowd behind him, for this high stakes match up.

Edge’s music hits and he makes his old entrance of coming down to the ring through the crowd, from his NME’s private box, with his World Heavyweight Title belt.

He gets in the ring and stares Conway down as they face off from opposite corners. The ref rings the bell and they stalk each other around the room, before locking up. Edge wins out, going behind Conway with an armlock, laughing confidently to the crowd, before Conway elbows out of it and counters to go behind Edge. He then manipulates Edge by his arm before hitting him with a modified forward russian legsweep as the crowd goes wild and Nitro, Mercury, Melina and Kennedy are shown looking shocked in their box.

Conway capitalises, quickly applying a camel clutch hold but Edge manages to get to the bottom rope to break the hold. Conway picks him up and looks to be going for a cutter but Edge pushes him to the ropes and hits a big boot to the face, following up with a quick pinfall attempt, only getting a 1 count. Conway is up in seconds, charging Edge with a shoulder barge in the midsection to ground him, before landing right hands to the face as the crowd goes wild. Edge counters, using his feet to push Conway back, almost sending him into the ref, who Conway acknowledges, giving Edge time to go for a spear, which Conway side-steps, leaving Edge to spear the ref. Conway then hits Edge with a full nelson slam form behind and grabs his legs to apply a texas cloverleaf submission hold, causing Edge to frantically tap out on the mat in agony. Conway releases the hold and goes to revive the ref, who slowly comes round, before turning back to Edge. He picks him up by the hair but is met by a jawbreaker, temporarily grounding the underdog, giving Edge, who is holding his leg, time to recover.

An enraged Edge pulls himself up the ropes and stomps away at Conway viciously before picking him up and launching him into the turnbuckle shoulder first. He then lands him from behind with an ‘Edge-o-matic’ sitout rear mat slam before dropping onto of him for a 2 and a half count. Edge and his followers in the private box look shocked at Conway managing to kick out.

The end comes when Edge goes across the ring and measures the underdog for another spear attempt, which this time he nails, following up with a pinfall, this time for the 3 count and win.

After the match Edge drops out of the ring and grabs a steel chair, sliding back in and setting Conway up for a one man ‘con-chair-to’, shoving the ref out of the way. Suddenly, Val Venis runs out, causing Edge to bail out of the ring and make a quick exit through the crowd. Val helps Conway up and they leave to cheers from the supportive crowd.

J.R. calls that the match ‘a wake up call’ to all of superstars in the locker room, as Conway’s near upset victory, proved that anyone can win.

Backstage, Candice interviews Randy Orton. He says that last night he came within inches of winning the WWE Title and that all the loss did was encourage him even more to follow his dream. He says he isn’t through with Edge by a longshot but tonight he has to face Joey Mercury in a qualifying match, which he is going to win, before going on to Judgement Day to bring back the Intercontinental Championship.

King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Super Crazy vs. Chris Masters

Super Crazy makes his entrance first to a great reaction, before a fired up Chris Masters makes his way out.

Masters mauls Super Crazy, beating him down with rights and lefts, before quickly applying the masterlock. He rags Super Crazy around in his vice like grip, causing him to black out whilst shouting ‘you’re next Doane’. The ref calls for the bell and Masters gets the quick win at 56 seconds, to advance.

The camera cuts to NME’s private box, which is empty, causing J.R. and the King to debate their whereabouts.

Backstage, Carlito is shown with Torrie and Matt Hardy. They congratulate each other on their successful title victories last night at Backlash, before getting down to business, saying that tonight they get a chance to prove why they’re the new champions. They agree that they need to have each others back’s, especially when a roadie warns them that NME and Kennedy have left their private box.

Match 3
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Val Venis vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeff makes his way to the ring to a huge reaction from the crowd, doing his usual pre-match theatrics to work them.

Val’s music hits next but he doesn’t make his way out. We cut backstage to see Venis & Conway out cold on the floor, with a bent steel chair and Russian flag over them.

J.R. accuses NME of sabotaging Val after he came down to make the save for his partner Conway earlier in the night.

The camera cuts backstage where the faction of Nitro, Melina, Mercury, Edge and Kennedy are shown getting drinks from a dispenser. Todd Grisham catches up with them and questions them about the assault, to which they sound genuinely concerned about, claiming to have had no involvement. They ask if Venis & Conway are okay, to which Grisham tells them that the tag team has been rushed to hospital. The quintet look puzzled, but say they saw RAW newcomer Vladimir Kozlov talking to Val and Rob earlier, as we cut to a break

When we return, Randy Orton has made his way out for his qualifying match against Joey Mercury

Match 4
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Randy Orton vs. Joey Mercury

Orton warms up and awaits Mercury, as backstage cameras follow him to the entrance, accompanied by a paranoid Nitro, Melina, Edge and Kennedy. They follow Mercury down to the ring, before being sent to the back by the ref.

In the ring, Mercury and Orton square off, circling the ring before locking up. Mercury slips behind Orton with a waistlock, going for a german suplex, which Orton counters by trapping his leg, before going behind Mercury to push him to the ropes. Mercury grabs the ropes and slips out as Orton misses a dropkick, causing the crowd boo the former world tag team champion for ducking out. He walks around the ring staring at Orton, making the ref hold him back so he can get back in the ring, before finally re-entering. They circle the ring again, before locking up again. Orton wins out and forces his slippery opponent back into the corner, choking him with two hands, which causes the ref to intervene, giving Mercury the chance to deliver a harsh kick to the midsection and take control.

He beats down on Orton before landing him with a double underhook ddt, going for a pinfall but only getting a 2 count. He stomps away at Orton and picks him up, grabbing him by the tights to run him into the turnbuckle shoulder first, following up with a roll up, grabbing Orton’s pants again for leverage, but Orton manages to kick out at 2 and a half.

Mercury looks shocked but picks Orton up to continue the assault, running off the ropes only to be met by a high angle dropkick from Orton, as he has a burst of offence. Mercury tries to get back onto Orton to stay in control but is met with right hands and a stiff uppercut, knocking him down. Orton then goes up to the top turnbuckle in the corner, anticipating a flying crossbody, when he sees Edge emerge from the entranceway to taunt and distract him. Mercury sees his opportunity and shoves the ref into the ropes, causing Orton to land awkwardly.

Mercury surges forward and hits Orton with right hands, before hitting him with the ‘flapjack’ off the second rope, for a solo ‘snapshot’ manoeuvre and the pin for the 3 fall, as Edge watches on laughing, holding his hands up as a sign of innocence.

Mercury makes his way up the ramp after his huge win to embrace his stable partner, before they make their way to the back.

Up in their box, Nitro, Melina and Kennedy look on laughing.

Backstage, Vladimir Kozlov is approached by Jonathon Coachman and some armed police officers, who arrest him for the assault of Val Venis and Rob Conway. Kozlov looks puzzled and says he has been framed as the officers tell him his rights.

We return to see Coach going back into his office to find a tape on his desk. He watches it and his face drops in shock at what he sees.

Match 5
Six Man Tag-Team Match
Carlito & Team Xtreme vs. Ken Kennedy, Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury

Kennedy, Nitro & Mercury enter first, to NME’s music and swagger down to the ring. They taunt the crowd and point to Edge and Melina, who are sat up in the private box again.

Carlito’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring but doesn’t enter, as Kennedy stares him and the U.S. Title down. The Hardy’s music hits and they run down to the ring, sliding straight in the ring along with Carlito to go to work on their opponents.

The match starts as a ‘free for all’, with all six men trading blows back and fourth before the Hardys and Carlito win out with right hands, before simultaneously hitting dropkicks on their rivals, sending them tumbling to the outside. On the outside, Nitro, Mercury & Kennedy try to regroup but Matt hits them with a splash off the top turnbuckle to the outside, before picking Nitro up, rolling him into the ring to start the match.

Matt goes to the second rope for a moonsault but misses when Nitro rolls out of the way and over to his corner to make the tag to Kennedy, who enters to stomp on a recovering Matt. He whips him to the opposite corner hard, and lands a powerslam into a pin on the rebound, only getting a 2 count. He picks Matt up by the hair and drags him to the corner where he tags in Mercury, before nailing a gutbuster to leave the Hardy across his knee for Mercury to stomp him off with a kick to the head off the ropes.

Mercury picks Matt up for a northern lights suplex with a bridge for another pinfall attempt, which is kicked out of at 2 and a half. Mercury tags in Nitro, as they continue to keep Matt isolated in their corner, dropping him in a backbreaker for Nitro to leap over the top rope to land an elbow drop on the balanced Hardy boy. Nitro taunts his rivals as he picks Matt up by the hair, but the Hardy boy fights back with shots to the midsection, only for Nitro to beat him down and hit an enzuigiri to seemingly secure a victory. He poses to the crowd to boos, before going for a standing shooting star press but hits the mat face first as Matt manages to role out of the way. Nitro comes round as Matt has crawled to his corner to make the tag to his brother. Jeff enters and knocks Nitro down, before knocking down Mercury and Kennedy as they enter the ring. He then turns back to Nitro, to hit a sit-down jawbreaker, followed up with a double leg drop to the crotch, when Mercury hits him with a low blow and ddt from behind as Kennedy distracts the ref.

Both men are down and slowly crawl to their respective corners, making tags to Carlito and Kennedy at the same time. Kennedy enters and hesitates, holding his hands up, before Carlito hits him with right hands and whips him off the ropes for a standing dropkick. He then picks Kennedy up for a front facelock but Kennedy counters lifting Carlito over him, but Carlito wriggles free and goes for a back cracker. Nitro and Mercury fake entering the ring to get the refs attention, allowing Kennedy to kick back between Carlito’s legs to hit a low blow. He follows up by lifting Carlito onto his shoulders to hit a rolling fireman’s carry slam followed by a 3 count for the win as Nitro and Mercury storm the ring to run and knock the Hardys off the apron in their corner.

Edge and Melina make their way down through the crowd to join in the beating, as Kennedy hits a ‘Kenton bomb’ on Carlito and Nitro & Mercury beat on the Hardy Boys, who temporarily come back before the numbers catch up with them. Orton runs down to the ring and gets some offence in but NME & Kennedy are too much for him beating him down also before Edge nails a spear.

Edge calls for two chairs when the titan tron screen comes up with a ‘GTV’ video. The video shows in black and white, NME and Kennedy attacking Val Venis & Rob Conway, hitting them both with chairs, before laying a Russian flag over their limp bodies. Edge and his team laugh at it and he goes to hit Orton with a con-chair-to, when Vladimir Kozlov’s music hits and he makes his way out. He walks down to the ring as Edge threatens him with the chair, but Kozlov continues to climb in the ring as NME back up. A recovering Carlito and the Hardys manage to hit Nitro, Mercury & Kennedy, taking them out to leave Edge on his own. A recovering Orton snatches the chair from Edge, allowing Kozlov to grab Edge by the back of the neck, before hitting him with knee strikes and a hanging vertical suplex into a powerslam.

Orton extends his hand to Kozlov, who turns away and leaves the ring, backing up the ramp as Orton, Carlito, Matt and Jeff stand tall as RAW goes off the air.

ECW​

Match 1
Shannon Moore vs. Al Snow

The show opens with Shannon Moore making his way down to the ring to boos from the crowd.

Moore warms up in the ring, running off the ropes when Al Snow's music hits and he makes his way out with 'head' as the crowd goes wild. He rolls into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle, holding 'head' up high to a louder cheer from the crowd.

He drops down and the bell rings as the two performers square off, measuring each other around the ring, before going to lock up, with the more experienced Al Snow winning out, forcing Shannon back into the corner. He then launches Moore out with a hip toss takedown, before hitting the fast recovering Moore with a clothesline. He then picks him up by the hair and hoists him up for a wheelbarrow suplex, following up with a pinfall but only getting a 2 count.

Snow picks Moore up again for further punishment, whipping him to the ropes and going for a dropkick, which Moore avoids by grabbing onto the ropes, following up with a dropkick of his own to Snow's face as he gets up, covering straight away for a 1 count. Moore then stomps away at Snow before picking him up and whipping him to the ropes, bending over to anticipate a back drop, which Snow counters with a kick to the face and the 'snow-plow' scoop brainbuster.

Snow then climbs to the top rope for a moonsault when the lights go down. When they come back up, Moore has hit Snow from behind and drags him down off the top turnbuckle with a powerbomb, following up with a pin whilst holding the tights, for the 3 count.

After the match, Gangrel, Kevin Thorn & Ariel emerge from the entranceway to applaude Moore's win. Suddenly, Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman come from behind with kendo sticks to hit Gangrel & Thorn as Ariel cowers away to one side. They then make their way towards the ring, forcing Moore to back-up into the ring, where a recovering Al Snow hits him with another 'snow-plow' scoop brainbuster, before climbing to the top turnbuckle again, this time to nail the moonsault.

Winner: Shannon Moore

Backstage, Rob Van Dam, still heavily bandaged around the midsection, is interviewed as Bobby Lashley stands by him in silence. He says that after weeks, it comes down to tonight's main event, when he gets Test one on one in the ring. Van Dam concludes the brief promo by saying that if Test and his gang have anything planned, Bobby Lashley has his back, slapping him on the chest, before leaving.

As we go to the second match of the night, Joey Styles announces that next week there will be a huge 6 man tag match between the Brood, featuring their newest addition 'Shannon Moore', facing off against Tommy Dreamer, the Sandman and Al Snow.

Match 2
The F.B.I (w/Trinity) vs. Sylvester Terkay & Elijah Burke

The F.B.I make their way down to a huge crowd response before the team of Terkay & Burke follow them out to major heat.

The match starts with Little Guido facing off against Burke, using his speed to catch Burke off guard with a snap kick to the midsection, before frantically beating down on him with rights and lefts. He then grabs Burke's pants and throws him into the turnbuckle shoulder first, in his own corner, tagging in Tony Mamaluke. They double team Burke in their corner, stomping away, before Mamaluke gets him in a front facelock for a tornado ddt off the second rope, scrambling ontop for a pin, resulting in a 2 count when Terkay, who has entered the ring stomps on Mamaluke's head to break it up.

The referee sees Terkay back to his corner, with them arguing long enough for Little Guido to hit the 'sicilian slicer' diving bulldog leg drop on Burke and exit the ring, as Mamaluke jumps on top for the 3 fall.

After the the match, Terkay enters, knocking Mamaluke down with a running knee to the head, before beating down Little Guido, who has entered to help his partner, before hitting him with a muscle buster. He then turns back to Mamaluke, getting him in a triangle choke hold, causing a worried Trinity to enter the ring and hit him from behind. She backs up into Burke, who has got to his feet to grab her from behind and hold her for Terkay, when Big Guido makes his return, walking down to the ring. Terkay turns his attention and attacks the big man as he enters the ring and the two trade blows, with Big Guido winning out, as Trinity kicks back between Burke's legs to hit him with a low blow. Big Guido then hits Terkay with a chokeslam, before helping his team-mates to the back.

Winners: The F.B.I (w/Trinity)

Backstage, Hardcore Holly is stood by Test in the Big Show's office. He says he is sick and tired of Rob Van Dam and Bobby Lashley interfering in his plans, and adds that he will never forgive RVD for ending his career. He demands Test destroy him tonight and says he is sending Holly out there with him to make sure Bobby Lashley doesn't help RVD win.

As we go to tonight's main event, Tazz announces that both the Great Khali and Daivari aren't here tonight due to injuries sustained in last weeks main event, as footage airs, showing the duo being struck with devastating chair shots.

Match 3
Rob Van Dam (w/Bobby Lashley) vs. Test (w/Hardcore Holly)

Van Dam and Lashley enter the arena through the entranceway to 'one of a kind' as the crowd goes nuts and gives a standing ovation. They get into the ring and Lashley stands behind him with his arms folded as Van Dam performs his kicks to warm up.

Test's music hits and he makes his way out, accompanied by Hardcore Holly, to the biggest heat of the night.

Lashley leaves the ring, not breaking eye contact with Holly, as Test climbs in the ring over the top rope to square off against Van Dam, as they go nose-to-nose in the middle of the ring.

They shout at each other at point blank range before engaging in a shoving match, before Test slaps Van Dam, causing Van Dam to retaliate with right hands to the face. Test backs up at the punches but then kicks Van Dam in his bandaged midsection, causing him to fall down holding his stomach in agony.

Test takes control, beating Van Dam accross the back with right hands, before hitting a falling gutwrench powerbomb, followed up with a pin for a 2 count. Test poses for the crowd and stomps Van Dam back down to the mat before he can get to his feet. He then sits Van Dam up and applies a full nelson hold, causing him to fade, until he finally gets some energy, managing to stand up in hold, only for test to hit him with a full nelson slam followed by a 2 and a half count as a valiant Van Dam manages to kick out at the last second.

He picks Van Dam up and whips him accross the ring for a big boot, which is ducked and countered with a flying forearm off the other ropes, knocking Test down. Van Dam drags himself up the ropes and delivers more right hands to Test, backing him off the ropes to whip him accross the ring and hit a spinning heel kick, followed up by a standing corkscrew leg drop.

Both men slowly get to their feet and trade blows again, until Test rakes Van Dam's eyes and goes for a running big boot, which Van Dam manages to side step, leaving him to straddle the top rope. He then leaps to the second turnbuckle, springboarding off the ropes to hit a spinning heel kick to Test's face, causing him to fall to the outside, where Bob Holly helps him to his feet and begins to carry him to the back, only to be met by Lashley, who is stood in the entranceway with his arms folding, preventing the duo from leaving.

They turn around as Van Dam runs off the ropes and hits a diving somersault senton over the top rope ontop of them both. Van Dam is first up, holding his bandaged back after the impact, dragging Test up to roll him back into the ring. He then climbs onto the apron and grabs the top rope, looking to hit a senton into the ring onto Test but a desperate Holly grabs his leg to delay him.

Lashley immediatley beats down on Holly, whipping him into the barrier on the outside and following up with a running clothesline over the top. Holly tries to escape through the crowd as Lashley stalks him.

Back in the ring, Test is up and trading blows with Van Dam over the top rope, when Van Dam grabs his head and drops to the outside, hanging Test up on the top rope, causing him to spring back and land on his back. Van Dam, seeing his opportunity, climbs back onto the apron and goes to the top rope for the 'five star frog splash', when Test manages to roll out of the way, leaving Van Dam to land on his bandaged midsection. Test measures Van Dam, who is now bleeding from the mouth and picks him up for the 'TKO' fireman's carry into a falling cutter, for the 3 count.

After the match, Test carries on the assualt, picking Van Dam up from behind for a pumphandle slam, but aborts and bails out of the ring when Lashley returns through the crowd to break it up. Lashley crouches down to tend to Van Dam, looking up to the entranceway where a smirking Test laughs at them, as ECW goes off the air

Smackdown​

Footage airs from this past Monday Night’s RAW, when it was announced that the ‘King of the Ring’ tournament would this year involve both RAW and Smackdown talents, with the winner also getting a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.

Theodore Long’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring to cheers. He climbs in the ring and gets on a microphone. He then says he would like to welcome Smackdown’s newest additions, Triple H and Intercontinental Champion, Shawn Michaels, Degeneration X. The DX music hits and the legendary duo make their way out to the ring to huge pops from the crowd, as confetti falls from the heavens of the arena. They climb into the ring and do their signature crotch chops as the fireworks explode behind them as the crowd roars for them. Hunter gets on the mic and boasts that ‘no-one saw it coming’, continuing by saying Jonathon Coachman should never have interfered in their business. They say they have two words for him, before holding the mic up in the air as the crowd chants ‘suck it’. Long then asks Triple H and Shawn to stay and press the button to generate 16 top Smackdown stars’ names into the ‘King of the Ring’ tournament table, which results in:

Long then announces that he has at Judgement Day, Shawn Michaels won’t be the only one defending his title, and reveals that he has granted Triple H a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event. DX then shake hands again with Long and they leave the ring to their music, looking very pleased as we cut to a break.

When we return, Vito is in the ring awaiting Gregory Helms for their match up.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Vito vs. Gregory Helms

Gregory Helms slides in the ring and gets in the face of Vito straight away, before he pushes him down and follows up with right hands and stomps, starting with a vicious offensive as the bell rings.

Helms picks a worn Vito up and whips him off the ropes, following up with high angle dropkick to the face and a pinfall attempt for a 1 count. Helms stomps Vito back down before he can gain any momentum, before sitting him up to apply a dragon sleeper, pulling him back against his knee. Vito’s arm is raised and dropped twice when Helms surprisingly releases the hold, seemingly not wanting to beat Vito so easily. He instead picks him up and gets him in a front facelock, backing up to the corner to attempt a tornado ddt off the second rope when Vito counters, slamming Helms down on the rotation. He then ducks a punch from the recovering Helms and counters with a savate kick, knocking him back into the corner. Vito then continues the offence by whipping Helms to the opposite corner, following up with a running splash when Helms gets his feet up to kick Vito in the face.

A vicious Helms then props himself up on the second rope in the corner and measures Vito for a flying neckbreaker, before getting the 3 fall for the win to advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Backstage, the World Heavyweight Champion, the Undertaker, is interviewed about his qualifying match-up against his brother Kane next. He says it doesn’t matter who he has to face, and after his successful title defence last week, he is concentrating on winning the King of the Ring tournament. When asked about DX’s move from RAW to Smackdown, and Undertaker’s title defence against Triple H in the main event at Judgement Day, he replies that he has beaten both before and he’ll do it again. He promises to win the tournament and this time end Shawn Michaels’ career for good to win the Intercontinental Championship, before doing the same to Triple H to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.

Elsewhere, DX are shown, having just watched the Undertaker’s promo. They disagree, saying they have a funny feeling there will be a new World Heavyweight Championship crowned at Judgement Day and that the Intercontinental Title will be staying firmly wrapped around the waist of the ‘heartbreak kid’. They say if the Undertaker isn’t down with that then they have three words for him, ‘Rest. In. Peace’…

Match 2
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Kane vs. The Undertaker

Kane’s music hits and he calmly walks down to the ring, climbing onto the ring apron to summon explosions from the four corners of the ring, before climbing over the top rope and awaiting his brother.

There is a brief pause before the gong beats fill the arena, proceeding the Undertaker’s entrance. He makes his way down to the ring and takes his jacket and hat off on the ringsteps, to show his eyes rolled back. He climbs in and Kane attacks him straight away with right hands, before whipping him off the ropes to hit him with a big boot to ground him. Kane then stomps at Taker’s head as he tries to recover, before picking him up by the hair to hit a stiff uppercut, knocking him back into the corner where he hits a running clothesline on him. He then whips taker to the other corner, running with him to follow up with an immediate running clothesline, before grabbing him for the chokeslam. Taker manages to kick Kane in the stomach to break the hold and follows up with a desperate clothesline of his own to knock his brother down.

Taker gets to his feet, trying to catch his breath when Kane sits up and gets up himself. They trade blows and the Undertaker manages to get a knee to the midsection before going off the ropes to hit a running ddt, following up with a pinfall attempt, only getting a 1 count. He rains down on Kane with right hands to the forehead, before going off the ropes for a leg drop across his throat. He then stalks Kane, anticipating him sitting up, and grabs him by the throat for a chokeslam when he comes round, which he nails, following up with another pinfall attempt. Kane kicks out at 2 and a half to the amazement of a shocked Taker and the crowd, causing the Undertaker to go for a tombstone piledriver as Kane comes round, but he manages to fall back over him and hit a sidewalk slam.

Kane takes control again, mounting his brother to deliver vicious right hands to him before picking him up by the hair for a sidewalk slam in the middle of the ring. He then climbs through the ropes and up to the top turnbuckle for a flying clothesline, which he lands as Taker is coming round, following up with a pin attempt for a 2 count.

He picks Taker up again and whips him off the ropes for a big boot, which is ducked, allowing Taker to hit a flying clothesline off the other ropes. He then hits a fast recovering Kane with a running big boot to the face to knock him down again, before dragging him to the edge of the ring, where he goes to the other side of the ropes for a guillotine leg drop onto the apron. He then rolls back into the ring again and picks Kane up into an arm twist, going up to the top rope for an ‘old school’ arm chop, when the the DX slogan ‘Are you Ready?’ comes over the speaker system, distracting Taker, who shifts his attention towards the entranceway.

Nothing happens but Kane manages to yank his brother off the top rope to the mat, before measuring him for the tombstone piledriver as he comes around. Kane drops him and crosses his arms for the pin and 3 count.

After the match, Kane drops backwards out of the ring and makes his way to the back as a visibly stunned Taker angrily comes to his senses.

Winner and tournament advancer: Kane

Backstage, Kristal interviews Mark Henry about his opinions on the tournament. Mark Henry says winning the tournament isn’t a concern for him. He complains that last week, he left Batista and the World heavyweight Champion the Undertaker lying for the second week straight. Henry says he should be facing the Undertaker for the Heavyweight Title at Judgement Day, not Triple H. Suddenly Batista interrupts the interview. He says he doesn’t want to fight with Mark Henry and says he also disagrees with DX coming to their show and jumping straight to the top. Batista says he may not like Henry but he respects him, and proposes a tag team match for tonight’s main event, with himself and Henry taking on DX. Henry agrees and says for one night only they can put their differences aside to take care of business.

JBL announces what a huge main event that will be but questions if they will be able to work together against the cohesive unit that is Degeneration X.

Match 3
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Brian Kendrick vs. Chavo Guerrero (w/Vickie Guerrero)

Chavo and Vickie come down to the ring first, receiving boos from the sold out crowd.

Kendrick’s music hits and he gets a good reaction as he sprints down to the ring, sliding in to start the match quickly with a brave offensive tactic. He delivers chops to Chavo’s chest, backing him up against the ropes to whip him across the ring and attempt a hurricarana, but Chavo instead hits him with a sitdown powerbomb for a 2 count.

Kendrick rolls back out of the pin and quickly dropkicks Chavo, who falls back through the ropes and out of the ring as the crowd cheer. Kendrick then runs off the ropes and hits the whirling twirlixer somersault corkscrew senton to the outside onto Chavo, taking himself out in the process.

The fan favourite slowly gets to his feet and throws Chavo back into the ring as Vickie screams at him. He then jumps onto the apron and climbs to the top turnbuckle for a turning frog splash onto Chavo, following up with a pin for a 2 and a half count, almost gaining the huge upset victory. He then picks Chavo up in a bulldog hold, looking to go for his ‘sliced bread #2’ finisher, when Vickie jumps up onto the apron, stopping him in his tracks. The ref goes to tell her to get down, allowing Chavo to hit a low blow on his opponent to cause him to keel over.

Chavo takes control and hits the ‘three amigos’ suplex combination, before going up to the top rope to hit the frog splash, following up with a pin for the 3 count.

Chavo and Vickie leave with their hands raised high to boos before a disappointed gets to his feet, met by applause from the supportive crowd.

Backstage, Layla interviews DX and asks for their opinions on the match proposal laid down by Batista and Mark Henry earlier. Hunter gets on the mic and says they’ve crossed paths with Batista and Henry individually in the past and have taken care of them before. Shawn then answers, saying DX are a cohesive unit, going on to question the relationship between Batista and Henry, asking if they really can work together after their history. When asked about the Undertaker, Triple H says the only person who should be afraid is the Undertaker, because at Judgement Day he’s going to take the World Heavyweight Championship and end his career.

Elsewhere, WWE Tag Team Champions Idol Stevens and K.C James are stood by a water-cooler with a returning Michelle McCool. She says she has been impressed with their progress in her absence and mentions how they are currently unchallenged for Judgement Day, as Scotty 2 Hotty passes by. He stops and asks if he’s heard them right, before offering a challenge for the PPV date, to which the champs agree, wishing him luck sarcastically.

Match 4
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Chris Benoit vs. Dave Taylor

Benoit comes down to the ring first, to a fan favourite reaction from the crowd, before Dave Taylor to boos.

The two veterans square off in what JBL suggests will be a great match.

Dave Taylor manages to win out with a headlock, applying pressure to Benoit’s neck before punching him in the face. Taylor then releases the hold and kicks Benoit in the stomach before deliver a piledriver, following up with a 2 count.

Benoit comes back, breaking out of Taylor’s grasp to hit him with chops across the chest, backing him up against the ropes, before whipping him across the ring and meeting him with a hit to the head. Benoit measures Taylor as he recovers and nails a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a 2 count of his own, before the two stare each other down again.

They lock up again with Taylor getting an armlock and kick to the ribs, following through with a double underarm suplex floating into a double underhook lateral press pin for a 1 count. Benoit, tries to build momentum and get to his feet but Taylor beats down on him before throwing him into the turnbuckle shoulder first, pulling him out to do the same in the next corner, before scooping him up for a shoulderbreaker onto his knee. Taylor then goes for another pin, getting a 2 count, before locking in an armbar on the ground, applying pressure to the ‘worked’ shoulder of Benoit.

Benoit makes a comeback and manages to power up and slowly turn Taylor over to counter the move into a modified sharpshooter, causing him to frantically reach out for the bottom rope in agony, which he eventually does so.

JBL applauds the ‘tough’ Taylor, saying a lesser man would have tapped out on that manoeuvre.

Benoit drops elbows on Taylor as he is slowly getting up, before locking in a front facelock for a vertical suplex. A recovering Taylor then swings for Benoit who grabs him for a t-bone suplex, as the crowd goes wild. Taylor tries to pull himself up the ropes but Benoit german suplexes him into the middle of the ring before climbing up to the top rope for a diving headbutt, missing when taylor manages to roll away at the last moment.

Both men slowly come around and trade blows, with Taylor the rough-neck brawler winning out. He then leans back on the ropes to use the leverage for a running clothesline, when Benoit grabs his arm and grounds him for the crippler crossface in the centre of the ring, leaving Taylor with no choice but to tap out.

Backstage, DX are warming up for their match up next. They look very confident in themselves laughing and joking.

Elsewhere, Batista knocks on Mark Henry’s door and says they’re up next as we cut to a break.

Match 5
Batista & Mark Henry vs. DX

Batista and Mark Henry make separate entrances and await their opponents outside the ring.

The DX music hits and Triple H and Shawn Michaels make their way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Shawn and Mark Henry start, with the heartbreak kid having to use his speed to avoid the big man, as he ducks a swipe and hits a chop block to the back of the leg, causing him to kneel. He then runs off the ropes but Mark Henry stands up on both feet and picks Shawn up in a bearhug, squeezing him tight before turning to slam him down. He then picks Shawn up by the hair and lifts him into a gorilla press slam, dropping the heartbreak kid behind him, before posing for the crowd and shouting at Triple H.

Henry picks Shawn up again by the hair, but he breaks free and delivers right hands to back him against the ropes and whip him, only for the world’s strongest man to reverse it. Henry bends down to anticipate a back drop but Shawn kicks him in the face and hit a superkick to knock him down, before tagging in Hunter.

DX work well together, whipping Henry off the ropes for Hunter to hit him with a running knee to the face. He then delivers elbow drops to the inside of Henry’s leg before running off the ropes to hit a knee drop to the grounded opponent. Hunter then purposefully hits Batista, who tries to enter, which causes the ref to stop him, allowing Shawn to hit an elbow drop off the top as Triple H picks up Henry’s feet and stomps him in the groin. Shawn leaves the ring just as the ref turns around to see Hunter measuring Henry for the pedigree, which he locks in but is back dropped by the world’s strongest man.

Henry then tags Batista in and slumps in the corner exhausted as his partner clears the ring, knocking Hunter down and knocking Shawn off the apron. He then stalks Hunter and goes for a spear, but the game side steps it and Batista spears a recovering Mark Henry by accident.

Realising what he’s done, Batista tends to his downed partner only before turning around to be kicked in the midsection by the game for a second pedigree attempt, when the lights go down and the sound of gongs fill the arena. The lights go up and Batista takes advantage of a distracted Triple H, kicking him in the midsection before landing him with a ‘Batista bomb’. He then runs to the apron and hits Shawn off before diving down to pin Hunter for the 3 count and win.

After the match, Shawn threatens Batista from the outside with a chair, but before he can do anything, a frustrated Mark Henry comes from behind and attacks Batista, hitting him with a fallaway slam to crush him, as Triple H rolls out of the ring and leaves with Shawn. DX backs up the ring looking pissed at the loss, as Henry stands over a devastated Batista, as the show goes off the air.

The show starts with NME's music blaring out as the quartet make their way down to the ring as footage from the end of last weeks RAW is shown, when newcomer Vladimir Kozlov managed to help clear NME and Kennedy out of the ring.

An enraged Edge gets a mic and starts to complain about Kozlov's involvement, warning him and Orton that they shouldn't get involved in other people's business. He then announces that general manager Jonathon Coachman has granted Edge his wish for a triple threat lumberjack match with Kozlov and Orton, in tonights main event. He then passes the mic to Melina, who gets an overwhelming roar of boos before she can speak. She tells the crowd to shut up and carries on from Edge, announcing the lumberjacks as being non other than Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury. She finishes by saying that tonight it's her job to select the lumberjacks from the back and promises to do a great job before handing the mic to Johnny.

Nitro then turns the focus to the first match of the night, which will see him in action against Ken Doane, with the winner advancing to the next stage in the King of the Ring tournament.

He mocks Doane, who finally makes his entrance as the rest of team NME leave the ring to join J.R. and the King on commentary.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Johnny Nitro vs. Ken Doane

Doane starts on the offence, hitting Nitro with right hands to the head as soon as he enters the ring, before being met with a knee to the stomach, breaking his momentum. Nitro fights back and slams Doane accross the back with an axe handle smash, before grabbing him for a neckbreaker and early pinfall attempt, only getting a 1 count.

Nitro takes full control, stamping on his opponent, stopping to get a reaction from the crowd who are cheering Doane on. He picks Doane up by the neck but is met by punches to the midsection and a whip off the ropes, which he comfortably counters with a kick to the face and lunging clothesline. Nitro then picks up Doane again, choking him on the top rope before running off the oppositte ones to leap over and pull Doane's throat down accross it. He then slides back in the ring and hits the capoeira leg drop before going for another pinfall attempt, which Doane kicks out of at 2. Nitro turns his back and goes up to the top turnbuckle for a corkscrew moonsault, but Doane manages to get up and surge foward, pushing Nitro off the top to the outside, where he lands face first on the barrier.

Doane takes a brief pause to recover before climbing to the top turnbuckle himself, diving onto Nitro on the outside with a splash, leaving both competitors wiped out. A concerned Melina leaves the commentary table and tends to Nitro as they slowly come round.

Doane is in better shape and runs at Nitro for a clothesline, stopping dead in his tracks when Melina throws herself in the way. The two argue and she gets in his face, slapping him, causing enough of a distraction to allow Nitro to come back with a superkick to Doane's temple. He then rolls Doane back in the ring and slides back in himself, hitting a standing shooting star press for a third pinfall attempt, which Doane only just kicks out of at 2 and a half.

Nitro is furious at the ref and argues that it should have been a 3 count, giving WWE Champion Edge the chance to slide into the ring and deliver a spear to a recovering Doane as the crowd boo. Nitro finally stops arguing with the ref, shrugging his shoulders before going for the lazy and cocky pin on Doane. To everyone's amazement, Doane kicks out at 2 and a half again, sending Nitro into a fit of rage. He picks his broken opponent up and attempts a feint backdrop wheelbarrow facebuster but Doane reverses and lands a bulldog, causing a stalemate for a brief period as both men recover.

As they get to their feet, Melina jumps on the apron and distracts the ref as Mercury slides in the ring with a chair, he throws the chair to a confused Doane, who then has it dropkicked into his face by Nitro. Mercury grabs the evidence and bails the ring as Edge announces the move as 'beautiful' on commentary, whilst J.R. disagrees, saying Doane has just been screwed.

Nitro goes up to the top turnbuckle and this time hits the corkscrew moonsault for the win.

He rolls out of the ring and celebrates with his team mates and they make their way to the back as Doane comes round, looking angry at what just happened.

Backstage, Vladimir Kozlov is shown entering the building carrying a Russian flag.

Elsewhere, Randy Orton is interviewed in his locker room about tonights main event, pitting him against the Russian newcomer and Edge in a triple threat lumberjack match. Orton says he knows it isn't going to be fair but claims it doesn't matter and tells Todd Grisham that it doesn't matter who Melina picks, he's still going to RKO Edge. He finishes by saying that if he has to go through newcomer Vladimir Kozlov, then so be it.

Match 2
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Matty Hardy (w/Jeff Hardy) vs. Trevor Murdoch (w/Lance Cade)

Both men are accompanied to the ring by their respective partners, with the Hardys recieving a huge ovation.

The two extend arms to lock up but Murdoch instead kicks Matt in the stomach and grabs him in a headlock, applying pressure, before Matt manages to push him off against the ropes and hit a side effect to gain the upper hand.

Matt gestures for Murdoch to get up, before ducking a right hand to hit a neckbreaker and goes for a quick pin, which is powered out of at 1.

Matt stomps on Murdoch and drops an elbow in an attempt to stay in control. He grabs Murdoch in another front facelock but is met with resistance. Matt takes control again and goes off the ropes for a clothesline but Murdoch runs and meets him with a clothesline of his own, before dropping axe handle smashes accross the fan favourites' back.

Murdoch takes full control and hits a bulldog out of the corner, in a mimic of Matt, before man-handling him further, with a camel clutch chokehold and a spining sitout facebuster, getting a 2 count.

Jeff bangs the mat to encourage his brother whilst Cade smiles in approval as Murdoch rams a groggy Matt into the corner. He then props Matt on the top turnbuckle and climbs to the top rope, where he is met by right hands and is shoved off, landing awkwardly on the mat. Hardy then follows up with 'downfall' second rope elbow drop to gain momentum. He immediatley follows up by hitting a recovering Murdoch with right hands and a discus punch as the fired up crowd cheer in approval.

Matt then signals for the twist of fate, which he nails for the easy win, to advance to the next round. He rolls out of the ring and celebrates with his brother as Cade rolls in the ring to check on his fallen team mate.

Winner and tournament advancer: Matt Hardy

Backstage, NME sneer at the Hardy win in their private room, before saying that after the King of the Ring tournament they're taking back the World Tag Team Titles.

Elsewhere, Melina approaches Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, using her feminine charm in an attempt to secure them as lumberjacks for later tonight. They oblige and Benjamin says they will be more than happy to take care of Vladimir Kozlov after what he did to them at Backlash.

Match 3
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Johnny Jeter vs. Carlito

Johnny Jeter makes his way out first, followed by the United States Champion, who recieves a huge ovation from the crowd.

The two men lock up in the middle of the ring and Carlito forces Jeter back into the corner, where the ref makes him break a choke. Carlito does so and goes on the attack with right hands and a high angle dropkick, causing Jeter to slump down in the corner. The United States Champion then goes to the other corner and hits a running knee to the face to take a comfortable advantage.

Carlito wastes little time, dragging Jeters body out of the corner and pinning him for a 2 count. He then climbs to the top turnbuckle and goes for a split leg moonsault off the top rope, but Jeter gets his knees up, sending Carlito rolling accross teh ring holding his stomach.

Jeter takes control and hits the fan favourite with right hands before whipping him off the ropes for a hip toss, following up with a running snap leg drop off the ropes and pinfall attempt, which Carlito kicks out of at 2.

Jeter picks Carlito up by the hair and beats him down as he tries to fight back, before hitting a huge powerbomb, dropping to his knees to aid the impact. He then goes for another pinfall attempt, putting his legs on the bottom rope for leverage, whcih the ref notices and breaks the 3 count, when it looks like Jeter might get the win.

Jeter argues before going back to a partially recovered Carlito, who lands a jawbreaker and clothesline, buying himself some time. The two gradually get to their feet and trade blows before Jeter wins out and whips Carlito off the ropes, only to be met with a springboard back elbow. Carlito measures Jeter for the 'back cracker' but his opponent goes behind him, which Carlito counters, going behind Jeter again, but is countered yet again, with Jeter following up with punches to the back and a reverse ddt.

Jeter then goes up to the second rope for a moonsault but a fast thinking Carlito hits him from behind and drops him back down to the mat with a high impact 'back cracker' off the ropes for the win

Winner and tournament advancer: Carlito

Backstage, Melina is seen talking with Chris Masters. She compliments him on his impressive victory over Super Crazy last week and wishes him luck against Edge in their qualifying match next week. She flirts with him and asks if he'll be a lumberjack in tonights main event, to which he agrees. Lance Cade passes by them on the way to the ring for his qualifying match up next, causing Melina to quickly chase him to ask if he will participate as a lumberjack later tonight as the camera cuts away.

Elsewhere, Vladimir Kozlov is interviewed by Maria. He says that last week he was almost set up by NME and announces that tonight he will take out the leader, Edge, before continuing his quest to dominate every nationality in the WWE. He says he has already beaten America, and that tonight he will defeat Canada.

Match 4
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Lance Cade (w/Trevor Murdoch) vs. Ken Kennedy

Cade recieves a positive reaction from the crowd as he makes his way out, accompanied by Trevor Murdoch.

Kennedy makes a big entrance and his booed by the sold out crowd. He stands in the centre of the ring and does his mic spot, announcing himself as the 'soon-to-be, new, Intercontinental Champion.'

The match starts with Cade greatly overpowering Kennedy, grabbing him for a body slam, much to the crowd's delight. Kennedy tries to lock up a second time but is overpowered again, this time being hit with a vertical suplex.

Kennedy regroups and decides to change gameplan, appearing to go for a lock up again, but instead, shooting for Cade's legs, grounding him and following up with elbow drops to the inside of his right leg. He then stomps on his opponent and props his leg on the bottom rope, following up with jumps onto it.

The cocky superstar then plays to the audience, who collectively boo him. He grabs Cade by the hair and picks him up, hitting him with stiff shots to the forehead, before tossing him through the ropes to the outside. An anxious Kennedy pressures the ref to count faster as Cade struggles to get to his feet on the outside, but whilst he is watching this, Murdoch slips into the ring and hits a running chop to the back of Kennedy's leg, causing him to stagger awkwardly.

Cade, who by now has slid back into the ring and sees his rival is wounded, runs off the ropes to complete the tag teams signature move, with a huge clothesline from hell.

He then climbs through the ropes and goes up to the top turnbuckle for a diving elbow drop, followed by a pin for the 3 count and upset victory.

Murdoch slides into the ring to celebrate with his partner as the crowd cheer and an irate Kennedy roles out of the ring, making his way to the back.

Backstage, Melina returns to her team, looking pleased with herself and her selections for lumberjacks. Edge is looking fired up as Nitro and Mercury slap him and shout at him.

Elsewhere, Randy Orton is seen in his locker room, looking concerned.

After a break, we cut to the arena for the main event.

Match 5
Triple Threat Lumberjack Match
Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. Vladimir Kozlov

Melina makes her way out to the entranceway, in order to announce her selections. The lumberjacks make their way down to the ring, with seperate entrances. First is the World's Greatest Tag Team, followed by Johhny Jeter, the Highlanders, Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, Chris Masters and Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury.

Edge then makes his entrance and Melina accompanies him down to the ring, where he shakes hands with the lumberjacks. Melina then joins the announce team as Orton makes his way out. He stares down the lumberjacks, before sliding into the ring, where he his met by blows from Edge. The two superstars trade blows, with Orton winning and backing Edge into the corner as Kozlov makes his entrance carrying the Russian flag.

Kozlov runs down and slides into the ring, pulling Orton off Edge so he can get to him instead. Orton retaliates and hits Kozlov from behind, leading to a brief battle between them, before Kozlov hits Orton with a huge high angle suplex. He turns his attention back to Edge, who bursts out of the corner to hit a spear, following up with a 2 count.

Edge then rains down with fists to the face but Kozlov manages to guard himself with his arms and wraps his legs around Edge in order to push him down to the mat, before applying an armbar. Edge writhes in pain but Orton makes the save, dropping on Kozlov with an axe handle smash and then meeting him with a high angle dropkick, sending him to the outside. The lumberjacks immediatley attack, with all ten men beating down on the Russian fighter, whippin him face first into the steps and assaulting him further, until he manages to fight his way back into the ring.

Orton and Edge now battle as a weary Kozlov tries to recover. Orton whips Edge accross the ring and attempts a dropkick but he grabs the ropes and rests for a second. Edge then grabs Orto by the pants and runs him over the top rope to the outside, where the lumberjacks quickly go to work.

Edge turns his attention back to Kozlov and climbs to the top rope, leaping off, only to be met with a boot to the face. A stunned Edge reels as Kozlov measures him, hoisting him up for a devastating muscle buster, as a savaged Orton is rolled back in by the lumberjacks. Kozlov lifts Orton up for a hanging jackhammer, but he manages to counter it and push the Russian over th etop rope to the lumberjacks who beat him down. Masters grabs him in the masterlock as the other lumberjacks take turns at slogging him with huge right hands to the face and stomach.

Back in the ring, Orton goes to pin Edge, but only gets a 2. He then moves into position for a reverse chinlock and applies pressure to the WWE Champion, who begins to fade. Seeing this, Nitro orders the lumberjacks to throw Kozlov back into the ring, which causes Orton to break the hold and shift his focus to the big man. He makes his way over and picks him up in a front facelock to hit a ddt, followed by a cover, but Kozlov kicks out at 2. Orton continues to work on him, whipping him to the corner and following up with a running clothesline, but is met with a boot when Kozlov manages to get his leg up. The Russian then powers back, hitting an exploding clothesline of his own out of the corner. He then whips Orton accross the ring and hits a huge powerslam, before picking him up and hoisting him up on his shoulders for the torture rack.

Kozlov applies pressure, causing Orton to scream in pain, when a recovering Edge manages to explode accross the ring and nail Kozlov with a spear, who hits the backbreaker part of his submission on Orton as a result. Edge then jumps ontop of Kozlov for the 3 count as Orton rolls around in pain.

Following the match, Edge tosses Orton to the outside where Masters drops him face first on the guard rail, before Nitro & Mercury 'snapshot' him onto the hard surface.

All of the lumberjacks then join Edge in the ring to assault the newcomer. They stomp away at him until Edge is passed two chairs, with which carries out a con-chair-to. He then has Masters reapply 'the masterlock', as they take shots. They then roll him to the outside, where Edge orders Cade & Murdoch to suplex Kozlov through the announce table, leaving him devastated as EMT's rush down to his aid. Edge celebrates with his WWE Title over Kozlov and Orton's bodies as RAW goes off the air.

ECW​

The show starts with footage from last week's main event, when Test managed to get a victory over Rob Van Dam.

Test makes his way out with ECW general manager, the Big Show. He says that now he has put RVD and Bobby Lashley behind him, the Big Show has granted Test a ECW World Title shot against CM Punk at the upcoming Smackdown PPV, Judgement Day. The Big Show takes the mic and says that while Test may be done with Van Dam and Lashley, he isn't. He says that seeing as RVD is off tonight, recovering from injuries, tonight it will be Bobby Lashley vs. The Great Khali. They then leave the ring and make their way to the back.

Backstage, Al Snow, Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman are shown discussing the six man tag match against the Brood. Dreamer again reiterates that they need to kill the new faction before it grows any bigger. They agree and head off to the ring.

Match 1
6 Man Tag Team Match
Tommy Dreamer, the Sandman & Al Snow vs. The Brood

The Brood make their way out first, recieving a fair amount of heat from the crowd.

Dreamer, Sandman & Snow get a huge reaction and storm the ring, causing an immediate all-out brawl between the competitors as Ariel bails out of the ring to safety. Al Snow fights with Shannon Moore, whilst Sandman brawls with Gangrel and Dreamer trades blows with Kevin Thorn, until Sandman clotheslines Gangrel over the top rope whilst Al Snow does the same to Moore.

The bell rings and Dreamer and Thorn start the match, with Dreamer holding Thorns hair whilst slogging him in the face with huge right hands. He then whips him off the ropes and attempts a clothesline, which Thorn ducks and runs off the opposite ropes, only to be hit with a superkick. Dreamer picks him up by the hair and tags Al Snow in, holding Thorn for Snow to deliver a fist to the ribs off the second rope. He then grabs Thorn for the trapping headbutts before attempting to whip him off the ropes again, only for Thorn to reverse it and Moore to kick him as he bounces off. Thorn then nails a big boot to the face and tags in Shannon Moore, before landing a gutbuster on Snow, allowing Moore to hit a second rope leg drop to the back of his head.

Moore then stomps away at Snow angrily, before picking him up in a front facelock and propping himself on the second rope for a flipping neckbreaker, following up by knocking Dreamer and Sandman off the apron in their corner, causing them to try and enter the ring and the ref to stop them. This allows Gangrel to enter and help Thorn stomp away at Snow in the corner violently. The leader takes full control of Snow, and grabs him for a trapping suplex but Snow reverses it and hits trapped headbutts on Gangrel, before kicking him in the stomach and hitting a 'snowplow', leaving both men downed and crawling for their corner.

After a slow crawl, Snow manages to tag in the Sandman as Gangrel tags in Thorn. Sandman enters strong, knocking Thorn down and charging over to hit Moore off the apron also. He then turns back to Thorn, ducking a punch to land a russian legsweep as the crowd goes wild. Outside of the ring, Dreamer looks under the ring and pulls out two kendo sticks and a trash can, throwing the trash can in the ring and passing a kendo stick to his team mate. Sandman cracks Thorn accross the back, causing Gangrel to bail, as the ref calls for the bell. Thorn falls down and rolls out of the ring while Sandman turns his attention to Moore, hitting him square on the head with his kendo stick. Dreamer then follows up by hitting a grounded Moore accross the stomach with his kendo stick, until a recovering Al Snow tells them to put the trash can over Moore's head. He then goes up to the top turnbuckle and hits a moonsault onto him, crushing the trash can around him.

The three fan favourites stand tall over Moore's broken body as Gangrel, Thorn & Ariel back up the isle shouting at their enemies.

Winner: The Brood (DQ)

Backstage, Tony Mamaluke is shown talking with Trinity when suddenly Sylvester Terkay comes running from behind to shove Mamaluke into his valet. Burke and Terkay stomp away at Mamaluke until Big Guido and Little Guido come running to the rescue to chase them off. They then turn to tend to their fallen stable mates, as Trinity and Mamaluke lay injured on the floor.

Elsewhere, Daivari and Khali are interviewed by an intimidated Rebecca. Daivari snatches the mic off her and tells the camera that tonight, everyone will witness the sheer power and dominance of the Great Khali when he ends the career of former ECW World Champion, Bobby Lashley. He goes on to reveal that if Khali beats Lashley tonight, then he will recieve a title shot, facing either Test or CM Punk, depending on the outcome of the title match at Judgement Day. He drops the mic and the duo leave.

Match 2
Sylvester Terkay (w/Elijah Burke) vs. Big Guido (w/Little Guido)

Terkay and Burke enter the arena to major heat from the crowd as footage is shown of them attacking Tony Mamaluke and Trinity moments ago. Joey Styles and Tazz discuss their actions as sick as the F.B.I.'s music hits and Big Guido storm the ring to attack Terkay.

Guido punches away at Terkay with huge right hands, before whipping him off the ropes to hit a shoulder block knockdown. He then runs off the ropes to his right but the athletic Terkay shifts under Big Guido, forcing him to jump over his body and run off the opposite ropes. Burke trips Guido, causing a temporary distraction allowing Terkay to strike him from behind and hit a belly to back suplex with a bridge for a 2 count. On the outside, Little Guido attacks Burke for his interference, running up the steps to hit a flying clothesline, followed by right hands to the face. Little Guido then picks Burke up and tosses him over the barrier, brawling into the crowd with him as the match continues.

When Big Guido gets to his feet, Terkay grabs him for an overhead suplex, demonstrating his strength and power. He then applies the key lock submission hold as Guido screams in agony. Guido then shows a great display of power himself, forcing his way out of the submission to reverse it into an ankle lock, attempting to beat Terkay at his own game. Terkay looks close to tapping but manages to drag himself to the ropes to catch a break but a fired up Big Guido snaps and chokes him on the bottom rope. The ref counts to 5 and Big Guido is disqualified. He eventually breaks the choke and waits for Terkay to drag himself up the ropes, before landing him with the sicilian chokeslam. He then leaves the ring and makes his way to the back.

In the back, Little Guido and Burke have made their way through the crowd and are still trading blows, until Burke gains the upper hand, running his smaller rival head first into some steel shutters, before grabbing a nearby chair to strike him, crushing his head against the concrete floor. He then slams the chair down and runs off before Big Guido can make the save.

Winner: Sylvester Terkay (w/Elijah Burke) (DQ)

Backstage, Balls Mahoney, accompanied by Kelly, is interviewed about his involvement with her and Mike Knox. He says that next week, he will meet Mike Knox one on one in the ring for an extreme rules match and adds that it won't be an envoiroment for a woman. He says that ever since their match two weeks ago when Mike Knox refused to break a boston crab hold on him, he has wanted revenge. Balls concludes by saying that Mike Knox showed him no remorse, so next week he won't show him any remorse when he breaks his leg.

Elsewhere, Bobby Lashley is shown stretching for his huge match up against the Great Khali, looking very focused, when a roadie with a clipboard tells him it's time.

Match 3
The Great Khali (w/Daivari) vs. Bobby Lashley

The Great Khali's music hit as the monster makes his way down to the ring to boos from the crowd, accompanied by a smiling Daivari.

He stands tall and awaits Bobby Lashley. There is a pause as Joey Styles and Tazz debate whether Lashley will show for his match, when his music hits and he walks out, down the isle and jumps up onto the ring apron to climb through the ropes and square off against Khali. Khali towers over him but Lashley isn't intimidated, starting the match by attempting punches to the face of the monster. He lands three punches to no avail until an angered Khali knocks him down with an overhead chop.

The intimidating Khali grabs the disorientated Lashley as he gets to his feet and hits a huge powerbomb on him. Instead of going for the pin, he continues the assault, picking his opponent up to whip him off the ropes and attempt a big boot, which Lashley ducks, rebounding off the opposite ropes to hit a spear. Lashley measures Khali and runs off the ropes for another spear attempt when Daivari grabs his leg. The ref sees this and ejects Daivari from ringside, threatening to award the match to Lashley if he doesn't leave. Daivari reluctantly accepts this and leaves. A distracted Lashley turns around and walks straight into a two handed chokeslam from a recovered Khali, who then walks over the fan favourites body, crushing him.

Khali again avoids going for a pin, instead choosing to pick a battered Lashley up and whip him to the corner, following up with an attempted running back elbow smash, which Lashley manages to sidestep. He then fights back with right hands to the face before Khali use his power to push him back accross the ring. Khali picks Lashley up and attempts to whip him off the ropes again but Lashley manages to baseball slide through his legs and hit a shoulder block to the back of the leg, causing Khali to kneel down. Lashley then applies a sleeper hold, squeezing tight on the monster's neck. Khali seems to be fading but fights back, standing up with Lashley clinging onto his back, before reaching over to grab his head and pull him over, slamming him onto the mat. Khali then goes over to the corner to lean on the turnbuckle and regain his composure whilst Lashley slowly gets back up to his feet. Khali sees this and lunges at Lashley with an attempted clothesline but Lashley ducks and runs off the ropes to hit another spear. He quickly covers and the ref counts to two before Khali powers out, pushing Lashley clean off him.

Before anything else can happen, Test storms the ring and hits a tired Lashley with a running big boot to the face, causing the referee to call for the bell. Test then bails the ring when an angry Khali stares him down for having just cost him a title shot. He gets halfway up the isle when a returning CM Punk comes from behind to hit Test with the ECW World Title belt, laying him out. An enraged Punk then shouts at the fallen Test before holding his title up high and staring down the Great Khali, as ECW goes off the air

Smackdown​

The shows kicks off with a huge pyro display, followed by Batista's music filling the arena as he makes his entrance. He poses as more pyro goes off, before making his way down to the ring to a huge ovation from the sold out crowd. He asks to be handed a mic and addresses the crowd, telling them that he is going to win the King of the Ring tournament to face Shawn Michaels for the Intercontinental Title, before challenging the World Heavyweight Champion once again to take back his title. He continues by saying that he hasn't forgotten about what happened last week, when Mark Henry attacked him following their victory over DX. He finishes by saying that he fully expects to face Henry in the next set of qualifying matches after he beats MVP tonight.

MVP's music hits and he makes his way out, pointing at Batista and looking pissed at being dismissed so easily.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Batista vs. MVP

The two men square off, with MVP getting in Batista's face, until the former World Heavyweight Champion lashes out, knocking his opponent down with a right hand. He continues to knock MVP down as fast as he can get back up before grabbing him by the back of the neck to run him face first into the top turnbuckle. He then turns MVP around and nails him with repeated thrusts to the midsection, before pulling him out of the corner for a jackhammer suplex, followed by a pin for a 2 count.

Batista picks his opponent up, leaning him back against the ropes to whip him accross the ring and attempt to follow up with a running clothesline, but MVP ducks and runs off the ropes again to hit a flying forearm out of desperation. He then measures Batista and lands a kick to the midsection followed by a ddt and pinfall attempt for a 2 count of his own. An impatient MVP lands several standing elbow drops to his opponent before stomping away, following up by collecting Batista as he gets to his feet to whip him into the corner hard. He then hits a running big boot to the face and uses his boot to choke his rival, holding the ropes for leverage. The ref makes it to 4 when MVP releases the choke, following up with a kick to Batista's midsection before hitting an overdrive neckbreaker to ground him once again. MVP frantically dives down ontop of the fallen former champion for a quick pinfall attempt, which Batista again kicks out of at 2.

MVP stalks a groggy Batista as he gets to his feet, attempting to go for a crossface submission but the big man puts a halt on the take down, turning 180 to floor the cocky competitor with a huge clothesline. MVP slowly gets to his feet, shaking his head to try and lose the feeling of being disorientated but is met by a kick to the midsection and a 'Batista bomb', with Batista holding MVP in the seated pin for the 3 count.

Batista pushes MVP away and leaves the ring, making his way to the back as MVP lays exhausted in the ring.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio is interviewed by Kristal. He says that he is aware that Chavo isn't here tonight as he isn't scheduled for a match tonight but tells Kristal that he has a proposition for him. Rey continues by saying that he is now fully healed from his injuries, and hasn't felt so good in a long time. With that in mind he challenges Chavo to a match at Judgement Day, but claims that he doesn't want an ordinary match, rather he wants a replay of the match in which Chavo put him out, an 'I Quit match'.

The crowd cheer as the camera cuts back to the arena for the next match, whilst JBL and Michael Cole debate Rey's mentality, saying that a wrestler never truely heals from such an injury and that Chavo could well finish his career for good this time.

Match 2
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Booker T (w/Sharmell) vs. Mark Henry

Booker makes his way down to the ring escorted by Sharmell. He gets in the ring and runs off the ropes to warm up when Henry's music hits and emerges from the entranceway to boos.

The two big names square off in the ring, going face to face in the centre. There is a minute of trash talking in each others faces before Henry throws a punch and they trade blows.

Booker wins out on the exchange, backing Henry up to the ropes before whipping him accross the ring, only to have the move reversed on him. A quick thinking Booker grabs onto the ropes to break his momentum as Henry bends over for a back body drop. Booker leaps foward for a sunset flip but fails to pull the big man over, who finds his balance before attempting to sitdown on his opponents chest to crush him. Booker moves out of the way just in time, leaving Henry to sit on the mat. As Henry gets to his feet, Booker measures him for a superkick, which he lands to no avail as the big man stands his ground, gently leaning backwards. Booker sees this and runs off the ropes to hit Henry, causing him to wobble further, before going off the ropes again, only to be met by a huge clothesline. Henry goes off the ropes himself for a big splash, but Booker again manages to roll out of harms way and suddenly realising his oppurtunity, runs off the ropes yet again to hit a scissors kick to the back of Henry's head as he is getting up. He drops down onto the fallen animal and gets a 2 count.

A shocked Booker T briefly argues with the ref before turning back to Henry and attempts another scissors kick, only to be caught and shuffled into position for a huge fallaway slam. Henry stays ontop for the pin and 3 count to win the match.

Henry leaves the ring and makes his way to the back as Sharmell enters and tends to her crushed husband.

Backstage, DX are discussing the 'setback loss' they suffered last week when Theodore Long enters the room. He asks if everything is alright and if there is anything he can do for them? Triple H asks Long if he has a main event set for tonight to which he replies he has nothing finalised. Hunter says to not bother and says DX will take care of that one. Long agrees and leaves.

Match 3
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Jamie Noble vs. The Boogeyman

Noble's music hits and he fast walks down to the ring, looking set for business. The Boogeyman's music hits and he emerges out of the fog to smash a clock over his head, before making his way down to the ring.

The match starts with the Boogeyman circling Noble unpredictably in his unorthodox style. Noble moves in and goes for a stiff kick to the midsection, but has his leg caught by the Boogeyman, who follows up with a clothesline to the chest. He measures Noble and hits him with a body slam as soon as he gets back up, following up with an attempted running powerslam, which Noble escapes, shoving his opponent into the turnbuckle. He capatilises, getting the Boogeyman with quick schoolboy roll up, grabbing the tights for a 2 and a half count.

A shocked Noble complains with the ref before turning back to grab the Boogeyman, but is met with shots to the midsection, followed by shots to the face before being landed with a powerslam off the ropes. Boogeyman stays ontop for the pinfall attempt, getting a 2 and a half count himself, as Noble manages to kick out at the last minute.

Boogeyman measures his opponent clasping his hands around his throat for a chokebomb but Noble frantically hits a kick to the midsection, following up with a swinging neckbreaker and quick leg drop off the ropes, again going for a pinfall but only getting a 2 count.

Noble waits for his opponent to get to his feet before charging him, which the Boogeyman counters by kicking him in the stomach. He then lifts Noble up in a pumphandle slam, which Noble manages to counter, locking in a reverse facelock, applying his dragon sleeper with body scissors in mid air. The Boogeyman fades and falls to the ground as Noble wrenches back with all the force he can muster. The ref lifts the now unconcious Boogeyman's hand 3 times and declares Noble the winner in a huge upset.

Noble raises his hands and leaves the ring as EMT's storm the ring to attend to the Boogeyman.

Backstage, the Undertaker is interviewed by Ashley. He says that it doesn't matter what main event DX dream up, the end result will be the same. The phenom goes on to say he has faced Triple H and Shawn Michaels many times before but this time he's going to destroy them once and for all. He finishes by saying that after Judgement Day, he will still be standing tall at the top of the pile as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Elsewhere, Chris Benoit wishes Finlay luck for his match up next.

Match 4
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Paul London vs. Finlay

The cruiserweight champion comes out wearing his belt to a huge reaction from the crowd. He runs and slides into the ring and ascends the turnbuckle to hold his title high to the crowd as they cheer him. He backflips off the corner poses again as his music fades and Finlay's hits.

Finlay comes walking down the isle to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He walks up the ringsteps and climbs through the ropes, standing accross the ring from London.

The bell rings and both men circle the ring before locking up. They struggle until Finlay wins out, going behind London with a hammerlock. London manages to elbow Finlay in the head and backflip over him, 'un-doing' the move, but Finlay lays him out with a short-arm clothesline, before stomping away at him. Finlay then attempts a leg drop off the ropes but London manages to 'kip-up' and avoid the move, running off the ropes himself to nail a dropkick to the face.

London takes control picking Finlay up by the neck in a facelock to twist into a neckbreaker position to nail an over-the-shoulder faceplant, before locking in a camel clutch hold. Finlay looks to be close to tapping but musters the strength to move to the nearest ropes, forcing London to break the hold. London uses the nearby ropes to try and hit a springboard moonsault onto his opponent but Finlay manages to roll out of the way. This allows Finlay to recover and hit an arm-breaker ddt on the stunned London, to take control of the match.

The Irishman hits a running knee-drop to the head of London, before going for a pinfall, getting a 2 count. He picks London up and hits him accross the back, before grabbing him by the pants to run him shoulder first into the ring post, back body dropping him out of the corner for another pinfall attempt. When London again kicks out at 2, Finlay continues to work on his arm and shoulder, picking him up for a shoulder breaker onto his knee, following up with a legdrop accross the throat.

Hope seems to be fading away for the cruiserweight champion as Finlay gains more momentum, whipping him off the ropes, when London manages to counter, jumping up onto his shoulders for a hurricarana into a kneeling pin, hooking the legs for the 3 count and sudden victory.

London immediatley bails the ring and raises his hands as Finlay bangs the mat in frustration as his losing streak continues.

Backstage, Theodore Long enters DX's room and asks them if they've come to a decision with tonight's main event. They smile and say they've come up with the best main event Smackdown fans could hope for, and that the will reveal it shortly.

Elsewhere, a camera focuses on Dave Taylor's face. He says that he hasn't forgotten about 'the big red machine' Kane and says that at Judgement Day he wants him in a match that he can't refuse, an inferno match. He then goes on to say that this won't be an ordinary inferno match, rather it will be a 2 on 1 handicap inferno match. The camera then pans out to show a bandaged William Regal in a wheelchair. Regal says that doctors have told him he will be fit for Judgement Day and vows to burn Kane and hurt him the way he hurt William Regal. The two stare angrily at the camera as we cut back to the arena.

Match 5

The DX music hits and the duo make their way out to a very mixed reaction from the crowd. They hit the ring and do the signature crotch chops as the pyro crosses behind them, before taking a mic and doing the usual warm up routine. Triple H then goes on to say that they promised the fans the best main event possible to on Smackdown and they intend on delivering. He then announces the main event as being Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker in a non-title match, much to the crowd's delight. Triple H then throws a big 'but' out there, breaking the cheers, to announce that the Undertaker will have to participate with one hand tied behind his back. The crowd boo as DX laugh and hi-5 when the Undertaker's music hits.

The phenom slowly walks down to the ring, staring at Triple H and Shawn Michaels. He walks up the ringsteps and stops. The lights go up as he takes his hat off to reveal his rolled back eyes, before climbing through the ropes and trying to start a match with Michaels. The ref stops him as Shawn and Hunter back out of the ring. They wait for the ref to tie the Undertakers left hand behind his back before Shawn enters and circles the ring, avoiding the deadman, until the phenom backs him into the corner and attempts a right hand. Shawn ducks this and trades places, stomping the Undertaker in the corner and choking him with his boot up to a 4 count. The ref pushes Shawn back following the illegal choke, giving the Undertaker enough time to recover and burst foward with a big boot to the face as a shocked Triple H watches on.

Shawn gets up but is repeatedly knocked down by Taker with stiff right hand uppercuts, before grabbing Shawn by the throat with his right hand for a chokeslam. Shawn quickly kicks Taker in the midsection and rakes the eyes to take control of the match again as Hunter applaudes on the outside. He then runs off the ropes to hit a flying forearm to knock Taker down. As Taker gets back up to his feet, Michaels runs off the ropes again to hit a swinging neckbreaker, before signaling to go up to the top turnbuckle. He climbs through the ropes and goes up to the top, diving off for a flying elbow drop, when the Undertaker moves out of the way.

Michaels rolls around on the mat holding his arm, before slowly getting to his feet, being met by a flying clothesline off the ropes by the deadman. Taker then grabs Michaels and whips him to the corner, following up with a running clothesline, before whipping him to the oppositte corner for the same devastating maneuver. Before he can go for a pin, Triple H jumps up on the ring apron and taunts the Undertaker, only getting down when he starts walking towards him. When Taker returns to Michaels, he is met with right hands to the stomach. Unable to defend himself, Taker loses out to Shawn, who whips him off the ropes and bends foward, only to have the move countered when the phenom hits a running ddt. The exhausted deadman covers Michaels as the ref counts to 2 and a half, when the heartbreak kid just manages to kick out, much to the relief of concerned Triple H.

Both competitors slowly get to their feet and trade right hands until Undertaker starts to win out. Shawn again breaks the momentum with a rake to the eyes, and runs off the ropes, but is met with a chokeslam hold by the Undertaker. Before he can land him however, Triple H again jumps on the apron but this time Taker releases his grip and elbows him off to the outside. He then turns around and walks into a 'sweet chin music' by Shawn, laying him out. Shawn dives ontop for the cover as the ref counts 3.

Following the match, Triple H rolls into the ring and measures the Undertaker for a pedigree near the ropes, but the deadman manages to reverse it and back body Triple H out of the ring. Shawn helps his team mate up and they back up the isle shouting at the Undertaker, who stands tall in the middle of the ring as Smackdown goes off the air.

The show opens with an impressive pyro display before an updated King of the Ring tournament chart is displayed on the big screen, showing the next round of match ups:-

NME's music hits and the quartet make their way down to the ring smiling and posing to rile up the crowd.

Edge takes the mic and waits for about a minute for the crowd to stop booing. He smiles before saying that last week, he showed what happens when you stick your nose in NME's business. Footage of last weeks post main event assault on Randy Orton and Vladimir Kozlov is shown as Edge talks the audience through it, laughing with his stable mates at the end. He continues, informing the crowd that Kozlov had to be stretchered off to hospital and is out due to injuries sustained, for an indefinate amount of time.

He then turns his attention to the King of the Ring tournament, saying that many people have questioned his involvement, citing it as a step back from the WWE Title. He tells the sold out crowd that he is on a mission and that when he won the WWE Title for the third time, he began a mission, one that would solidify his stauts as the greatest champion of all time. He then reveals that he plans to win all of the titles accross all three brands to become the ultimate grand slam champion, guarenteeing him a place in the hall of fame.

Following this stellar announcement, Edge addresses the immediate future with his qualifying match against Chris Masters, who was instrumental in last weeks attack on Vladimir Kozlov. Edge says he respects Chris Masters and therefore has a proposition for him, one that will guarentee an easy way out. He then offers Masters a shot at any title following Edge's grand slam win, he he lays down for him in their match tonight. He then says that while he respects Masters, they can do this the easy way, or the hard way. There is a brief pause when Mr. McMahon's music hits and he makes his way out to the top of the ramp.

Vince tells Edge that he is becoming concerned with the power and momentum NME is gathering, and more so, the amount of wrestlers they have put on the shelf, saying it isn't good for business. He then lists off some of the names NME has injured or helped to injure in recent weeks, including Rob Conway, Val Venis, CM Punk, Randy Orton and of course, Vladimir Kozlov. Vince then says that because of this, NME stable mates will be banned from ringside in all matches, adding that any further assault or injury to another superstar will result in a fine and being stripped of whatever titles they may be holding. Edge and the rest of NME look shocked at this announcement and complain shout at Mr. McMahon.

Chris Masters music hits and he makes his way out as Vince turns and heads for the back.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Edge vs. Chris Masters

Masters makes his way down to the ring, passing Nitro, Mercury and Melina on the rampway, who stare at him.

The two competitors stare at each other accross the ring before Masters extends his hand to Edge in a show of respect. Edge cautiously approaches and shakes his hand, before kicking him hard in the stomach and swinging for a right hand, but Masters ducks and locks in 'the masterlock' straight away, causing Edge to flail wildily. A panicing Edge manages to force Masters back into the corner, crushing the ref in the process.

Masters breaks the lock dropping Edge to the mat, allowing him to roll away. Masters eventually revives the ref, only to turn around and dodge a spear from Edge, who hits the ref, knocking him out again. Edge holds his head in disbelief before Masters hits him from behind, landing an inverted ddt on the WWE Champion. Masters goes and tries to revive the ref again, before turning back to Edge, who fights back with punches to the stomach and runs off the ropes, only for his opponent to use the momentum to lift him up in for an impressive military press slam. Masters stomps on Edge before going back over to the referee again, trying to wake him up.

Masters turns back to Edge, picking him up by the hair and slogging him in the face with hard right hands before whipping him off the ropes. Edge rebounds off the ropes and ducks an attempted clothesline, running off the opposite ropes to hit a spinning heel kick. Edge takes control, nailing a recovering Masters with a russian legsweep, before capitalising on his momentum, propping himself up on the second rope for a missile dropkick and pinfall attempt.

Edge looks round for a count but the referee is still down in the corner. The rated r superstar leaves Masters and goes to bring the ref round, shouting at him and shaking him violently, eventually getting him to come round. Edge turns around and picks his opponent up by the neck, locking in a front facelock to hit the 'edgecution' impaler ddt, followed by a pinfall, which the recovering ref slow counts to 2 and a half, when Masters kicks out.

A frustrated Edge argues with the ref, before turning back to Masters, who meets him with a low blow out of sight from the ref, following through with a release underhook suplex. He then covers the rated r superstar for a 2 and a half count of his own as Edge kicks out at the last minute. Masters stalks Edge, applying the masterlock, but the WWE champion wisely kicks back between his legs to hit an out of sight low blow of his own. The rated r superstar temporarily leans on the ropes to regain his compsure before running at Masters who turns around to recieve a devastating spear. Edge quickly covers Masters and hooks the leg to get the 3 count and advance to the next stage of the tournament. He rolls out of the ring and collects his WWE Title belt from a ringside official, before backing up the rampway, looking back at Masters.

Backstage, Nitro, Mercury and Melina celebrate the win in a private room. They then discuss Mercury's match up next against Jeff Hardy, telling him to destroy their major rival once and for all. The trio then come to the realisation that if Mercury wins his match, then he will have to face Edge in the next round, and possibly long time team mate Nitro in the round after that. They decide not to worry about it just yet and tell Mercury that he needs to focus on his match tonight.

Elsewhere, Vince McMahon is shown backstage, where he runs into RAW superstar Ken Kennedy, who complains about his loss to Lance Cade in last weeks King of the Ring Qualifying Match, claiming to have been screwed by the tag team. Kennedy goes on to say he should be the Intercontinental Champion and United States Champion, as he is the fastest rising superstar the WWE has ever seen. Mr McMahon says Kennedy complains too much and says that he will give him an oppurtunity to prove himself in tonight's main event. He then makes the match of Ken Kennedy vs. a returning John Cena. Kennedy is infuriated by the decision and storms off as Mr. McMahon smiles to himself.

Match 2
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Jeff Hardy vs. Joey Mercury

Jeff Hardy enters the arena first to a huge ovation from the crowd. He runs down to the ring and slides in, jumping on the turnbuckles in two opposite crowds to do his suicide pose for the fans.

He then looks towards the entranceway as Mercury's music hits and he makes his way out to boos.

Both men look focused and circle the ring when the bells rings, before locking up in the middle for a struggle. Jeff wins out, forcing Mercury back into the corner, choking him with both hands, causing the ref to interject and break the hold. Mercury takes advantage and hits a hard kick to the midsection of the the distracted Hardy, following up with a running 'side effect', mimicking Jeff's brother. Mercury then uses his mat skills to capitalise, pushing his knee into Jeff's back while pulling back with a vice-like grip accross his face.

Jeff slowly manages to stand up out of the move and twist round to hit Mercury in the face and attempt a kick of his own, but Mercury grabs his foot and smiles. Jeff counters, hitting a leg-feed spinning mule kick to knock his rival down. He then hits multiple running clotheslines to knock Mercury down as fast he gets back up to his feet, before hitting a sitout inverted suplex slam to lay his opponent out in the middle of the ring. Jeff then hits a somersault leg drop to the back of Mercury's head before going for a pinfall to get a 2 count.

Jeff picks Mercury up and whips him into the corner, following up with a running clothesline to knock him down, before climbing through the ropes to leap over and twist ninety degrees in midair to bounce off the other ropes with his legs, using the momentum to land a moonsault on Mercury. Jeff stays ontop for another pinfall attempt, which Mercury kicks out of at 2 and a half. Jeff again picks up his rival and moves him against the ropes to whip him accross the ring, but Mercury manages to reverse it and whip Jeff. Jeff comes back off the ropes, leaping up to go for a hurricarana but Mercury counters with a powerbomb, dropping to his knees for extra power.

The two men lay exhausted in the ring and slowly come round before the ref can reach a ten count. They trade right hands in the middle of the ring before Jeff ducks, causing Mercury to twirl around. Jeff then hits a feint backdrop wheelbarrow facebuster, mimicking Mercury's tag partner, before quickly climbing through the ropes and up to the top turnbuckle, leaping off for a swanton bomb. Jeff turns Mercury over and hooks the leg to get the 3 count and advance to the next stage of the King of the Ring tournament.

Backstage, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas are shown talking when Cade & Murdoch approach them. They laugh at Benjamin and Haas, saying they aren't the World's Greatest Tag Team because Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are. They carry on the verbal assault saying Benjamin and Haas have accomplished nothing in the past year and are old news. Cade challenges Benjamin, saying he had his time years ago when he was Intercontinental Champion. He says it's his time now and that he is going to go on to win the gold at Judgement Day. They laugh at Benjamin and Haas, telling them to have a good night, before leaving.

Back in the arena, Randy Orton appears on the titan tron. He says that despite being attacked by several people last week on RAW, including the WWE Champion Edge, he isn't down or out. Orton says he sustained minor injuries and will return to RAW next week, and when he does, he will have the rated r superstar in his sights. He concludes by stating that Edge's actions have only fired him up in his journey to the WWE Title and that he will stop at nothing to become the number one superstar on RAW.

Backstage, Joey Mercury is shown returning to NME's private room. Nitro, who is on his way out for his qualifying match consoles his team mate, telling him that he will get revenge by taking out Matt Hardy next and that after Judgment Day, they will take back their World Tag Team Titles from the Hardy Boys. Mercury wishes him luck and Nitro leaves to head for the ring.

Match 3
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Matt Hardy vs. Johnny Nitro

Matt makes his entrance to a huge ovation, which matches his brother's. He warms up the crowd and warms up in the ring before Nitro's music hits and the confident superstar makes his way down to the ring, walking up the steps and cautiously climbing through the ropes, staring at Matt the whole time.

The bell rings and Nitro lunges at Matt, nailing him with right hands and a knee to the stomach, before whipping him accross the ring, missing a front dropkick when Matt holds onto the ropes, following up with a running dropkick to Nitro's face. Matt then goes for the quick cover, getting a 1 count as Nitro kicks out. Matt picks Nitro up by his hair, hitting him with two right hands and a discus punch before attempting a springboard moonsault off the ropes, missing when his opponent rolls out of the way.

Nitro looks to capitalise hitting a russian legsweep on Matt as he gets to his feet, before following up with a capoeira leg drop accross his rival's throat. He then climbs through the ropes and hits a springboard front dropkick on Matt as he once again gets to his feet, before going for a pinfall, gaining a 2 count.

Nitro picks his nemesis up by the hair, leaning him against the ropes to whip him accross the ring and bend foward to anticipate a back body drop but Matt scouts him and meets him with a kick to the face, followed up with a clothesline takedown.

A fired up Matt scouts Nitro and hits a side effect as the crowd goes wild. He then props himself on the second rope in the corner, before doing the trademark suicide pose and hitting the downfall diving elbow drop. Matt hooks the leg and gets a 2 and a half count, much to everyones amazement. He gets to his feet and stalks Nitro once again, hitting a twist of fate by the ropes, going for the cover again to get another 2 and a half count when Nitro manages to get his leg on the rope, just in time.

Matt picks Nitro up in a front facelock and pulls him to the middle of the ring, to hit another twist of fate, this time nailing him for the 3 count and win.

Backstage, NME react to the huge loss, with Mercury throwing the TV accross the room in frustration.

Elsewhere, Vince McMahon runs into Cryme Tyme. The duo talk jive to a confused Mr. McMahon, who then tries to respond in ebonomics. JTG and Shad frown at Vince who goes for a hi-5, before walking off to leave him hanging. Vince shrugs it off and carries on walking down the corridor smiling.

In another segment, RAW divas, Candice Michelle and Maria are shown talking when Victoria comes along and talks them down, saying they're just around for eye candy and don't belong in the WWE with female wrestlers such as herself. Candice and Maria look offended as Victoria walks off.

Match 4
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Carlito (w/Torrie Wilson) vs. Lance Cade (w/Trevor Murdoch)

Carlito and Torrie get a decent applause from the crowd as they make their way out before Cade and Murdoch enter the arena to a mixed reaction.

The United States Champion circles the ring, measuring the bigger Lance Cade, who backs Carlito into the corner, swinging for him. Carlito ducks and swaps places with Cade, punching him back into the corner before attempting to whip him accross the ring, having the move reversed as his more powerful opponent lashes him into the opposite corner so hard it causes him to bounce out and hit the floor.

The dominant Cade picks Carlito up by the hair, slugging him in the face with huge right hands, before whipping him off the ropes for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and pinfall attempt, which Carlito kicks out of at 2. Cade picks his smaller opponent up again and lifts him up in a hanging vertical suplex, causing all the blood to rush to his opponents head before slamming him down hard on the mat. Cade attempts another pinfall and gets another 2 count.

The big man picks Carlito up again by his hair as a concerned Torrie bangs the mat in support of her man. Cade whips Carlito into the ropes, but is met by a springboard back elbow from his desperate opponent. Carlito gets to his feet and grabs Cade to whip him off the ropes but the big man reverses it, whipping the United States Champion off the ropes. Carlito counters again, sliding through Cade's legs to hit him with a back cracker out of nowhere.

Before he can go for the pin, he is distracted by Trevor Murdoch on the outside, who has sneaked around the ring to grab Torrie. He threatens to hurt her and backs up towards the rampway with her, when Benjamin and Haas run down to make the save, double teaming Murdoch with a double vertical suplex onto the steel rampway.

Back in the ring, Carlito turns around to an attempted swinging clothesline by Cade, but ducks and nails another back cracker before hooking the leg tight for the 3 count.

Carlito bails the ring to be met by Torrie with his United States Title, as Benjamin and Haas stare down at Lance Cade from the entranceway.

Backstage, Vince McMahon is shown entering Jonathon Coachman's office. A nervous Coach quickly sucks up to the boss, telling him how well he looks, when Mr. McMahon cuts him off. He says he isn't pleased with the way Coach has been running things as of late and says that if he can't keep his locker room in order, then he will find someone else who can. He then leaves as a nervous Coach looks worried.

Elsewhere, Ken Kennedy is shown warming up on his way to the ring.

Match 5
Ken Kennedy vs. John Cena

Kennedy's music hits and he comes out to a chorus of boos from the crowd. He walks down to the ring and climbs in, posing for the audience. He then has his microphone lowered in the centre of the ring and says that tonight he is going to prove that he is the best when he takes on former WWE Champion John Cena and beats him. He says that John Cena is going to wish he had stayed out when he's finished with him tonight, before climbing to the second rope in the corner to announce himself, concluding that John Cena and everyone else in the RAW locker room will know the name, Kennedy.

The lights go up and Cena's music hits, sending the sold out crowd into a frenzy. There is a long wait before the former champ makes his way out, causing the crowd to cheer even louder. Cena poses at the top of the ramp, before pulling his cap and shirt off to run down to the ring, sliding in to go straight for Kennedy.

Cena hits him with right hands, whipping Kennedy off the ropes to use his momentum against him and land a huge spinebuster as the crowd cheers him on. A groggy Kennedy gets to his feet, only to be slammed back down with a twisting belly to belly side slam, before Cena does his trademark 'you can't see me' taunt, running off the ropes to hit the 'five knuckle shuffle' fist drop, following up with a pinfall attempt, which Kennedy manages to kick out of at 2.

The former champ measures Kennedy as he gets to his feet, and hoists him up for an 'FU' but the 'brash, cocky loudmouth manages to fall back behind Cena, hitting him with a hard kick to the midsection and a ddt to stagger 'the marine's' offence. He then manages to follow up with a neckbreaker to buy himself some time.

Both men come round and trade right hands until Kennedy manages to duck one and tie Cena's arms up for a back slide pinfall attempt, only getting a 2 count. Both men get up and Cena takes Kennedy down with a clothesline to take control of the match again.

He picks Kennedy up and goes for a hiptoss but has it reversed when 'the future of sports entertainment' counters to hit a hiptoss of his own, before hitting a piledriver on the recovering Cena. Kennedy then quickly climbs through the ropes and goes up to the top turnbuckle for a 'kenton bomb', following up with a quick pin for a 2 and a half count.

Kennedy stalks Cena as he gets to his feet, hoisting him up for a fireman's carry of his own but Cena slips free and lifts Kennedy up for a successful 'FU'. The former champ then locks in the 'STFU' submission hold in the middle of the ring, causing Kennedy to eventually tap out.

Cena celebrates in the ring as Kennedy rolls out and backs up the ramp, staring at his opponent as RAW goes off the air.

ECW​

Pyro's hit, illuminating the arena to signal the begining of the show.

Match 1
Elijah Burke vs. Big Guido

Elijah Burke's music hits and he makes his way out to major heat from the crowd. Footage is aired, showing the F.B.I being dismantled last week on ECW, ending with the clip of Burke crushing Little Guido's head against the concrete with a steel chair.

Big Guido's music hits and he makes his way out to cheers. He walks down to the ring not breaking eye contact with his enemy.

The bell rings and Guido lunges at Burke, causing him to quickly bail the ring. Guido follows him and stalks him around the ring, Burke slides back in, followed by his bigger opponent. Burke uses this to his advantage, immediatley stomping on Big Guido in an attempt to stem his attack but the big man still manages to get to his feet and shove his rival back. Burke runs at his opponent and grabs him around the waist for a belly to belly suplex but fails to lift the Italian, allowing Big Guido to counter with a belly to belly suplex of his own.

Guido picks Burke up, carrying on the assault by whipping him to the corner and following up with a short arm clothesline, before whipping him to the opposite corner to do the same again. A groggy Burke staggers out of the corner to be lifted up onto Big Guido's shoulder for a running powerslam, but he manages to wriggle free and push him into the ropes, holding on from behind for a schoolboy roll up, grabbing the pants to steal a sudden victory.

An irate Big Guido gets to his feet behind Burke who is holding his hand sin the air in celebration. He measures his opponent and grabs him for the 'sicilian chokeslam', but a desperate Burke frantically kicks Guido in the groin to land a blatant low blow, following up with his 'Elijah Experience' foward russian legsweep. He then rolls out of the ring to snatch the bell off of an official, returning to shove the referee out of the way and charge his rival in the head with it, before pummeling him on the mat. He then locks in a scissored armbar, causing Big Guido to scream in agony before officials eventually rush the ring to break the hold. Burke leaves the ring looking fired up, as the crowd boo him.

Winner: Elijah Burke

Backstage, a limousine is shown arriving in the parking lot. The camera pans around to show Vince McMahon climbing out and looking around, before heading into the building. The camera follows him through the backstage area towards the ring, where he makes his entrance to cheers from the crowd. Vince walks down to the ring, up the steps and through the ropes before being given a microphone.

He addresses the crowd saying that like the flagship show RAW, it seems that the things have become abit 'unbalanced' and says that he is here to turn things around. Suddenly, the Big Show's music hits and the General Manager of ECW makes his way down to the ring. He climbs through the ropes and extends his hand to Mr. McMahon, who shakes it in a sign of goodwill. The Big Show asks for the mic and tells Vince how happy he is to see him on ECW . The boss takes the mic back and thanks Show before telling him that he has become concerned with the way things have been handled on the show as of late, with various handicap matches and several injuries. Vince then says, as he did on RAW that if Show can't do his job properly then he will find someone who can. Mr. McMahon concludes the segment by announcing tonight's blockbuster main event that will see CM Punk & Bobby Lashley team up to take on Test & The Great Khali in an extreme rules, tornado tag team match. The crowd cheers as the chairman's music hits and he exits the ring, leaving behind him a stunned and concerned looking Big Show.

Backstage, CM Punk is shown watching a TV moniter in the back, nodding in approval at the match which has just been made.

Elsewhere, Balls Mahoney is shown telling Kelly that she can't come to the ring with him for his extreme rules match against Mike Knox as it is too dangerous. He goes on to tell her that it's going to be a warzone, and promises that his opponent one of them will be leaving the arena on a stretcher. Kelly looks shocked as a fired up Balls grabs his signature chair and heads off for the ring.

In another backstage segment, Hardcore Holly is interviewed by Rebecca about his absence from TV in the past few weeks. Holly says he has been taking it easy, spending the bounty money he earned several weeks ago when he helped to incapacitate CM Punk. He says that after CM Punk made an unexpected return last week, ECW General Manager, the Big Show got in touch with him to 're-hire him for business'. He concludes by saying that he is ECW's bounty hunter and intends to help take out his three immediate targets Rob Van Dam, Bobby Lashley and ECW World Champion CM Punk, once and for all.

The camera cuts back to the ring for the second match of the night

Match 2
Extreme Rules Match
Mike Knox vs. Balls Mahoney

Fan favourite Balls Mahoney makes his entrance first, wielding his steel chair as the crowd cheer for him. He rolls into the ring and stands on the second rope in the corner, holding his chair high in the air. His music dies down and his rival's hits.

Knox makes his way out to the ring with no weapon. He stops at ringside and shouts for Balls to lose the chair so he can enter to start the match. Balls eventually throws the chair out of the ring, allowing Knox to slide in under the bottom rope and circle the ring.

The two men lock up in the middle, with Balls forcing Knox back into the corner, pummeling away at his face. He then whips him accross the ring so hard that he bounces out of the other corner, to be met with a sitout spinebuster. Balls then avoids the pin, going to the outside to throw his chair into the ring and collect more weapons from under it. He throws a trash can, a road sign and a steel chain over the top rope, before re-entering the ring. He warps the chain around his fist and meets a recovering Knox with right hands to the forehead, before whipping him off the ropes to hit another right hand with the steel chain for the knockdown. Balls then unravels the chain and lashes Knox accross the back with it, causing him to writh in pain and roll out of the ring to protect himself. Balls grabs his chair and holds it up again, as the crowd go wild for him, before rolling out of the ring to follow his rival.

On the outside, Balls charges Knox, who manages to use his opponents momentum against him, htiting a drop toe hold to send the fan favourite face first into the steel steps. Knox then picks Mahoney up by the hair and runs him into the other ringpost on the outside to take control, before searching under the ring to collect a fire extinguisher, which he uses to level Balls. Knox regains his compsure before picking Balls by the hair again, rolling him back into the ring.

Knox picks Mahoney up and whips him off the opposite ropes, following up with a bicycle kick to the face to down him again. He then stalks Balls and grabs him for the swinging reverse STO when Kelly's music hits and she makes her way out to the entranceway, causing a distraction. Knox drops Balls and begins to shout at Kelly as she makes her way toward ringside, where she dances provocatively. She begins a striptease but stops at the last minute, looking behind Knox, causing him to turn around and get blasted by Balls with his steel chair, causing him to slump back and have his arms tied up in the ropes. Balls nails him again in the head, opening his rival up, before hitting multiple chairshots to his opponents right leg. He then drops the chair in the middle of the ring and unties Knox from the ropes for a 'Nutcracker Suite' Michinoku driver onto the chair. He then slumps ontop of Knox for the 3 count and win. Following the match, Kelly enters the ring and tends to Balls, whilst EMT's check on Knox. Knox eventually gets to his feet, as the crowd cheer, and makes his way to the back with Kelly, whilst Knox has to be stretchered out.

Winner: Balls Mahoney

Backstage, the Brood is shown blaming their loss to Al Snow, Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman last week on their newest member, Shannon Moore. They have him blindfolded with a black cover over his head, and his hands tied behind his back. Gangrel, Thorn and Ariel shout at him, before leading him outside to the parking lot where they beat him down. They leave Moore rolling on the ground in pain and make their way back into the arena.

Elsewhere, CM Punk is shown discussing the main event with Bobby Lashley. Punk says he knows they've had their differences in the past, but tonight they need to pull together to take advantage of their oppurtunity and get one back over Test, Khali and the Big Show. Lashley agrees but says that after tonight, he's gunning for the ECW World Title again.

The camera cuts to show Vince McMahon in a luxurious private room with a big screen, watching ECW

Match 3
Extreme Rules, Tornado Tag Team Match
CM Punk & Bobby Lashley vs. Test & The Great Khali

The team of Test and Khali make their entrance first, to Test's entrance music. Test shouts at the reponsive crowd as they walk down to the ring.

Next up, Bobby Lashley makes his entrance to cheers from the crowd, followed by ECW World Champion CM Punk making his entrance to a deafening ovation. Punk takes his World Title belt off and he storms the ring with Bobby Lashley to collide with their opponents.

Lashley goes straight for Khali as Punk battles with Test, backing him into the corner to hit a charging high knee followed by a bulldog, causing the impact player to roll out of the ring holding his face. Khali manages to overpower Lashley and whips him off the ropes, using the momentum to throw him over the top rope to the outside. The crowd cheer as Punk and Khali come face to face. Punk stares up at the giant and they exchange words before Khali grabs his smaller opponent for a huge headbutt, knocking the champion down. He then picks a recovering Punk up by the hair and whips him off the ropes for a big boot.

On the outside, Lashley and Test trade blows, with Lashley winning out, whipping Test into the barrier, before going under the ring to pull out a crowbar. He then hits Test in the head with it, before rolling back into the ring, where he hits Khali in the back of the knee with the weapon. The giant hobbles around the ring as Punk picks himself up and joins Lashley for a double clothesline, knocking Khali over the tope rope to the outside. The two fan favourites bail the ring and search under the apron, with Punk pulling out a table, and Lashley a steel chair and trash can. Whilst Punk sets up the table around the other side of the ring, Lashley uses the steel chair to nail Khali in the head three times, to finally ground him, before recieving a running big boot from Test, kicking the chair into Lashley's face.

Punk sees this and runs up the ringsteps to hit a flying clothesline on the impact player, as the two collide in a preview of their Judgement Day match in two weeks time. Punk takes control, rolling Test back into the ring before sliding in himself to hit an axe handle smash accross his back and Oklahoma rollup pinfall attempt, only getting a 2 count. The ECW World Champion picks Test up, but he breaks free and hits a rake to the eyes, before kickng Punk in the midsection and landing a gutwrench powerbomb. Test then climbs through the ropes and goes up to the top rope to hit a diving elbow drop, following up with a pinfall attempt of his own for a 2 and a half count.

A frustrated Test leaves the ring and collects a steel chair, as Lashley and Khali are slowly coming round. He re-enters the ring and lifts the chair above his head to hit Punk as he gets to his feet and turns around, but the champion manages to hit a stiff kick to the midsection, causing Test to drop the chair, before Punk hits a hammerlock ddt. The champion then sees the Great Khali recovering on the outside and hits a running baseball slide to the face with the chair to knock the giant back, who turns around to be hit by a spear from Lashley.

Suddenly, Hardcore Holly runs out to hit Lashley from behind. Back in the ring, a distracted Punk is quickly rolled up by Test, who grabs the tights to get the 3 count, as Holly throws Lashley into the steel steps on the outside. Holly turns around to head for the back but is met by Rob Van Dam in the entranceway. Van Dam runs towards him and the two men trade blows, with Van Dam winning out to hit a spinning reverse heel kick. Back in the ring, a distracted Test turns around to get hit with a side slam into the anaconda vice by Punk, who holds the move on tight.

On the outside, Van Dam pummels Hardcore Holly down towards the ring, laying him on the table that is set up. He then jumps onto the ring apron and does the Rob Van Dam taunt before hitting a corkscrew leg drop onto the self proclaimed bounty hunter, forcing him through the table. Van Dam and Lashley join Punk in the ring, who releases the anaconda vice on Test and leaves him to roll out of the ring. The three fan favourites stand tall above the carnage as ECW goes off the air.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Gregory Helms vs. Kane

Gregory Helms' music hits, and the hesitant former cruiserweight champion makes his way out.

He cautiously approaches the ring and slides in under the nearside ropes to stand accross the ring from the big red machine.

The bell rings and Helms runs at Kane, ducking a right hand to rebound off the ropes behind and hit a dropkick to the back of the legs, trying to gather momentum straight from the get-go. Kane drops to his knees and Helms runs off the other ropes to hit his 'shining wizard' running enzuigiri finisher, covering the big red machine immediatley. The ref counts 2 before Kane pushes Helms clean off him with a body press, before sitting upright. A stunned Helms quickly gets to his feet and runs off the ropes again for another shining wizard, covering again, this time getting a 2 and a half count. An even more shocked Helms holds his head and shouts at the referee, before measuring Kane and perching himself on the second rope in the nearby corner.

Kane gets to his feet and walks around as Helms leaps off, only to be caught in a chokeslam hold as the big red machine lifts him straight back off the mat and slams him down. Kane pins Helms for the 3 count and win as the seemingly unstoppable monster advances to the next round.

Following the match, Dave Taylor and a wheelchair bound William Regal appear on the titan tron. They congratulate Kane on his victory but tell him that he won't be fit to compete at Judgement Day after their inferno match. A fired up Taylor shouts at Kane, telling him they're going to burn him alive in ten days, befor eRegal takes over. The camera pans down to Regal, who is holding a replica of Kane's old mask. He drops it in a bin and sets fire to it, before standing up out of his wheelchair to reveal he is healed. He shouts at Kane and tells him they're going to break him, like he broke Regal on Smackdown several weeks ago.

Backstage, DX are interviewed by Kristal. Triple H says that last week, Shawn Michaels started what he's going to finish, when he superkicked the Undertaker to win their match. He continues by saying that after he beats the Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship, he will be an 11 time champion and that he and Shawn will hold the top two titles in the WWE, solidifying them as the ultimate force in wrestling history. Shawn takes the mic and says that last weeks victory over the Undertaker should be a message to the King of the Ring competitors, saying he's ready for anyone, whether it's Batista, whether it's Chris Benoit, whether it's Kane, whether it's Edge or whether it's Jeff Hardy. He concludes by saying DX is stronger than ever and they're here to stay, before they spray paint the DX logo on the camera and leave.

Elsewhere, MVP is shown in a General Manager Theodore Long's office, laid back on a couch watching Smackdown with two women. Long walks in and asks what's going on. A casual MVP puts his arm around Long and asks him 'what sells PPV's?' Before Long can answer, the cocky superstar tells him that 'MVP sells PPV's.' He then cuts to the chase and tells the general manager that he knows there is one more match left to be made for the Judgement Day card and says he wants in. Long tells MVP he had his chance against Batista last week in the King of the Ring tournament but says that he has an idea for the last match of the Judgement Daycard. He then tells MVP to get out of his office.

Match 2
Chavo Guerrero (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. Chris Benoit

In a throwback to last year's classic rivalry, Chavo Guerrero squares of against Chris Benoit for a place in the next round of the King of the Ring tournament.

Guerrero's music hits and he is accompanied to the ring by Vickie. They enter the ring and Chavo is handed a mic. He addresses Rey Mysterio's proposal made last week on Smackdown, telling Rey he accepts, warning him that this time he won't stop after Rey says 'I Quit'.

Chavo drops the mic and Benoit's music hits, as the rabid wolverine makes his way down to the ring. He slides under the bottom rope and walks straight up to Chavo, getting in his face to exchange heated words, before shoving Chavo back. Chavo comes back, shoving Benoit before the cripple pushes him back harder, causing him to fall back onto the mat. The cripple immediatley follows up with an attempted sharpshooter but Chavo counters, using his legs to push Benoit back onto the mat. The two men get to their feet and sqaure off, circling the ring.

They lock up and Benoit wins out, going behind for an attempted German suplex but Chavo traps his leg inside his opponents to block the move, elbowing out to hit a stiff kick to the midsection. Chavo then goes for a suplex but Benoit traps his leg to block the move, countering with a snap suplex, rolling over for a quick pin, only getting a 1 count.

Benoit gets to his feet and elbow drops Chavo three times, before picking him up by the neck to whip him accross the ring and hit a running forearm tackle, going for another pin, this time getting a 2 count. He picks Chavo up again but is met with stiff punches to the midsection, followed by a rake to the eyes, before being whipped accross the ring for a knee to the stomach.

Chavo takes control, picking Benoit up for the 'three amigos' suplex combination, rolling over on the last one for a pinfall attempt to get a 2 count. He then picks Benoit up again to whip him into the corner at short range, causing the wolverine to run front first into the turnbuckle, before stepping back into a back drop off the Guerrero. Chavo then climbs through the ropes and goes up to the top, pausing for the crowd before diving off for a frog splash, missing when Benoit rolls out of the way. Benoit recovers and gets the face-down Chavo in the 'crippler crossface' submission, causing to writhe in pain. Vickie bangs the mat and shouts at Chavo to crawl to the rope, which he eventually does, making the ref break the hold. Benoit then picks up his rival and hits him with a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a 2 and a half count, as Chavo kicks out, just in time.

Benoit does his cut-throat gesture before climbing through the ropes and going to the top turnbuckle for a diving headbutt, but as he stands on the top, Vickie jumps onto the apron out of sight from the ref, to pull his leg, causing the wolverine to straddle the ropes.

Chavo comes around and goes over to the corner, climbing to the second rope to grab Benoit for a superlex off the tope, throwing him halfway accross the ring. Chavo eventually manages to muster the strength to climb ontop of Benoit for a 2 and a half count. A shocked Chavo looks around, not sure what he has to do to put the wolverine away for a three count. He pulls Benoit up by his neck and whips him off the ropes, going for a dropkick, when the wolverine manages to grab his legs in midair and apply a sharpshooter, turning over to face the ropes, leaving Chavo a long way from any way out. Chavo holds on for a brief period before desperately tapping out to give Benoit the win.

Backstage, Finlay is shown knocking on the door to Theodore Long's office. He enters and tells Long that as everyone knows, he has been on a losing streak as of late but he wants to turn that around. Finlay continues by asking Long for a match at Judgement Day, where he can turn his fortune around and prove himself. Long sympathises with the Irishman and says he will think about it.

Elsewhere, Jamie Noble is shown warming up before the camera cuts to show Paul London stretching, in preparation for their qualifying match later tonight.

Match 3
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Batista vs. Mark Henry

Batista's music hits first and the former world heavyweight champion makes his way out to a positive reaction from the crowd.

Henry follows his long term rival out to heat from the audience, as he slowly paces down to the ring.

The bell rings and both men stand staring at one another accross the ring as the crowd cheer loudly at the anticipation of this blockbuster match. After the brief stand off, the two men lunge at one another, meeting in the centre of the ring to trade right hands, with Batista winning out to back Henry up against the ropes, whipping him off for a monsterous spinebuster. Batista gets to his feet and walks around the ring fired up as the sold out crowd cheer him on. Batista meets Henry as he gets to his feet, punching him back into the nearby corner before hitting him with repeated turnbuckle thrusts to the stomach. He then whips Henry accross the ring, running with him to hit an immediatte clothesline followed by a ddt and pinfall attempt for a 2 count.

Batista picks Henry up by his hair and puts his head between his legs, looking to go for a Batista Bomb, but fails to lift him. Henry counters, throwing Batista over his head with a back body drop, trapping the former world heavyweight champion in a bearhug as he gets to his feet, squeezing the life out of him. The world's strongest man keeps the move locked in until Batsita is almost out, before hitting him with a belly to belly suplex. He then bounces off the rope for a big splash on his opponent, staying ontop for the pin, getting a 2 and a half count. Henry continues the assualt, picking Batista up to slog him in the face with a huge right hand, causing the animal to spin 180 degrees and land over the second rope. The world's strongest man then runs off the opposite ropes to hit a leapfrog body guillotine, devastating his opponent, before dragging him off. Henry then poses for the crowd who react with major heat, before he turns his attention back to the groggy Batista who has dropped off the second rope. The world's strongest man drags Batista to the corner and climbs to the second rope, looking set for a banzai drop, bouncing on the second rope before pausing.

JBL and Cole announce the confusion before Henry climbs to the top turnbuckle, with his feet on the tope rope and hands on the corner post to balance himself, seemingly looking to end Batista's career. Suddenly the animal manages to pull himself up, using the ropes, and grabs his opponent for a modifyed Batista Bomb off the top, landing on his knees to put extra momentum into the move. An exhausted Batista finally crawls ontop for the pin, but Henry manages to kick out at 2 and a half.

Batista walks accross the ring and squats down, motioning for Henry to get up. When he does so, Batista charges him with a spear, getting straight ontop and hooking the leg for the pinfall victory.

After the match, both men need to be helped to the back, following their epic encounter.

Backstage, Theodore Long is shown in his office when there is a knock at the door. The mystery person comes in to reveal himself as the Miz. He tells Long that he has been swept aside out of the spotlight as of late, not even being considered for the King of the Ring tournament. The Miz continues, arguing that last year he was beating the likes of Matt Hardy and holding his own against the likes of the world heavyweight champion, the Undertaker. He goes on to say that he wants to make a comeback and therefore wants in at the Judgement Day PPV in 10 days time. Long tells the annoying superstar that he gets the message and says his request will be given some consideration. The Miz looks satisfied at this and leaves.

As he leaves, DX enter Long's office, mocking the Miz for his bizarre hairstyle. They then talk to Long, saying that they appreciatted their arrangement last week on Smackdown, and would like to request the oppurtunity to make the main event once again, reminding the general manager of their value to the roster. Long gives in and grants them their request. They thank Long and say that they have a surprise guest they have personally paid to take out the Undertaker, before thanking him and leaving.

JBL and Cole speculate who the mystery opponent could be as we return to the ring for the next King of the Ring Qualifying Match.

Match 4
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Jamie Noble vs. Paul London

The underdog of the competition, Jamie Noble makes his way out, fast walking down to the ring to slide in and hold his hands up to a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Paul London's music hits and the fan favourite runs down to the ring to do his usual entrance, climbing onto the second rope in the corner to pose for the crowd before backflipping off. As soon as he lands, Noble attacks him from behind, as the bell rings and the pitbull takes control.

Noble reigns down on the cruiserweight champion with staggered right hands, before grabbing him in a front facelock for a fisherman's suplex with a bridge, pinning London's shoulders on the mat for a 2 count. The aggresive Noble continues his vicious offence, picking London up to whip him accross the ring for a running clothesline takedown, picking him up for a body slam as he gets to his feet, positioning him near the corner. Noble then props himself on the second rope in the corner and hits a guillotine legdrop, followed by a pin for another 2 count.

The underdog continues to build on his momentum, running off the ropes to hit London with a swinging neckbreaker, before applying a modified reverse figure four leglock. The cruiserweight champion looks close to tapping but manages to reach the bottom rope to break the hold. noble stomps on him several times and then drags him to the middle of the ring for another pin, getting another 2 count. He then picks London up by the hair and whips him towards the ropes leaning foward for a back body drop when the cruiserweight champion counters with a sunset flip for a sudden 2 and a half count. A furious Noble gets straight back up and floors London with a running clothesline, before picking him up and hoisting him onto his shoulders for a fireman's carry double knee gutbuster. Noble scrambles onto London for yet another pinfall attempt but his opponent once again escapes, this time by getting his foot on the bottom rope at 2 and a half.

An aggitated Noble picks London up by his hair again and hits him with a right hand, causing him to stumble towards the corner, where Noble lifts him up to seat him on the top. London begins to fight back, trading rights with Noble, winning out to grab him in a front facelock and deliver a crucial tornado ddt off the top. London looks to capitalise, whipping Noble to the ropes, only to have the move reversed, but counters by hitting his opponent with a hurricarana off the ropes. He follows up with a dropkick to the fast recovering Noble, before kicking him in the midsection as he gets up to hit a sky-lift chickenwing facebuster, leaping ontop of his face-down opponent to lock in a camel clutch hold. Noble looks to be in pain but comfortably reaches the ropes in seconds to break the hold. London measures the rough neck as he gets to his feet again and connects with a superkick, levelling him. London then signals to go up for the 450 splash, going up to the top to perform the move, but miss when Noble rolls out of harms way.

The opportunistic Noble capitalises on London's mistake, picking him up for the dragon sleeper hold, applying the bodyscissors to lock the move in tight. The fan favourite, London begins to fade as the ref lifts his hand two times to no reaction. On the third time, London manages to stiffen up his arm. A shocked Noble releases the hold and measures the cruiserweight champion, hitting him with a kick to the midsection and double underhook, sitdown powerbomb, holding the legs for the pin and 3 count.

Noble goes wild and celebrates his second upset victory in as many weeks. He rolls out of the ring and backs up the isle with his hands raised, before motioning to London that he wants his cruiserweight title.

Backstage, the Undertaker is interviewed by Ashley. He says that last week he competed against Shawn Michaels with one hand tied behidn his back, and when all was said and done, he was the last man standing in the middle of the ring. He says it doesn't who he faces tonight, the result will be the same. He finishes by saying that at Judgment Day, Triple H will rest in peace.

Elsewhere, Theodore Long is approached by Vito. Before Vito can say anything, Long cuts him off and says he knows what he's going to say, 'that this time last year I was doing this and I deserve a place in the final match to be made for Judgement Day'. Long says he has come to a decision and has an announcement to make regarding the final match on the Judgement Day card, next week on Smackdown . Vito then says he was only going to ask Long which dress he prefered, as he holds two up.

Match 5
The Undertaker vs. ?

DX's music hits and the duo make their way out smiling. They walk down to the ring and Triple H is handed a mic. He says that he and Shawn like to please the fans, and tonight's main event will do just that. Hunter then announces that tonight 'in this very ring', the Undertaker will be facing their hired gun for the night, in an extreme rules match. Triple H then says he would like to introduce the Undertaker's opponent, before looking to the entranceway. There is a brief pause before Sabu's music hits as Triple H announces the 'suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, death-defying maniac'. DX then leave the ring, applauding Sabu, to join JBL and Micheal Cole on commentary as JBL congratulates the duo on their selection, reiterating that Sabu has no fear and is used to this envoiroment.

Sabu dives under the ring straight away to pull out a chair, a table and a bag filled with something, when the Undertaker's music hits and the deadman makes his way out. Sabu slides the table into the ring, places the bag in the corner and enters holding his chair, as the phenom does his usual entrance.

As soon as the Undertaker climbs through the ropes, Sabu goes on the offensive attacking him with a chairshot to knock him to the outside. Sabu then grabs the top rope for a plancha to the outside but Taker catches him, hoisting him onto his shoulder to try and run his opponent face first into the ringpost, but the hardcore legend manages to slide free and push the phenom into the post. Sabu then whips taker into the opposite steel ringsteps to take control of the match, as DX praise him on commentary. Sabu picks his opponent up by the hair and rolls him back into the ring, sliding back in to continue the assualt.

The death defying maniac picks up the chair in the ring and throws it at the Undertaker's head as he gets to his feet to ground him again, before jumping off the parallel second rope to hit an asai moonsault, staying ontop for the pin, getting a 2 count. Sabu plants the grounded phenom with a chairshot accross the body, before turning his back to set up the table he placed in the ring at the begining of the match.

Sabu finishes setting up the table as the Undertaker suddenly sits straight up behind him. The hardcore legend turns around to walk into a choke hold in preparation for a chokeslam through the table, but manages to kick Taker in the groin for a 'legal' low blow. He then hits the phenom with right hands, backing him into the corner, before opening up the chair infront of him to run accross to the other corner and then hit a running heel kick. Sabu repositions the chair and whips Taker off the ropes to hit a drop toe hold on the heavyweight champion, landing him face first on the foreign object. Sabu drops down for another pinfall attempt, getting a 2 and a half count.

The death defying maniac goes accross the ring and grabs the bag from the corner, revealing the contents as being thumb tacks, as he sprinkles them on one side of the ring. He then picks Taker up and attempts to whip him off the ropes again, but the champion reverses it and hits a big boot to the face. He then measures Sabu and grabs him for another chokeslam, moving accorss the ring to land the hardcore legend on the thumb tacks. Sabu rolls around in pain before Taker pins him, getting a 2 and a half count when the death defying maniac kicks out. The Undertaker shakes his head before measuring Sabu for another chokeslam, this time through the table. He then picks Sabu out of the wreckage and lifts him up for a tombstone piledriver, before crossing his arms for the pin and 3 count to win the match.

The Undertaker stares down at the concerned duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels as Smackdown goes off the air

The show kicks off with the pyro exploding from the entranceway, followed by Jeff Hardy's music as the World Tag Team Champion makes his way out to a huge ovation, for the opening match.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Edge vs. Jeff Hardy

J.R. states that the winner of this match will face the winner of the other semi final in tonight's main event, with the winner of the RAW final going on to Judgement Day.

Edge's music hits and the WWE Champion makes his way out to major heat from the crowd. He runs and slides into the ring, before confidently holding his title belt high in the air, taunting Jeff.

The bell rings and Jeff storms Edge, shouldering him in the stomach and grabbing his legs to hit a takedown, before unloading with right hands to the face. He gets to his feet and runs off the ropes, but Edge manages to shift underneath, causing Jeff to jump him and rebound off the opposite ropes, hitting a front dropkick to knock the WWE Champion through the ropes to the outside. Jeff gets to his feet again and leaps over the top rope with a plancha, to land on his opponent on the outside. He then walks around the ring to jump onto the ring barrier and run around it to hit a flying clothesline on Edge, before picking him up by the hair to throw him back in the ring.

Jeff goes for the pin, hooking the leg for a 2 count. He then picks Edge up and grabs him by the pants to turn and launch him into the ringpost shoulder first. J.R. points out that this is a wise move and speculates that Jeff may be trying to prevent Edge from using his trademark spear. Edge stumbles back out of the corner into a high angle belly to back suplex, before Jeff grabs the rated r superstars legs to deliver a double legdrop to the groin.

A fired up Jeff stalks Edge and knocks him down with a running forearm to the face, before climbing through the ropes and going up to the top turnbuckle for a swanton bomb. He leaps off but Edge manages to roll clear, leaving Jeff to land hard on the mat. The WWE Champion crouches down in the corner before charging Jeff for a spear as he gets to his feet, hurting his shoulder injured earlier in the match in the process. Edge clutches his shoulder and rolls on the mat in agony, before finally getting an arm over his opponent for a 2 count.

The two men get to their feet, holding their back and shoulder respectively, to trade right hands. Jeff wins out and tries to whip Edge off the ropes but the WWE Champion reverses it and hits Jeff with a huge flapjack on the return, before leaning on the ropes to catch his breath. The rated r superstar then goes back over to Jeff to pick him up by the hair, being met with some resistance, which he neutralises with right hands of his own accross Jeff's back. He then gets him in position for a powerbomb and lifts him up, but falls backwards, hanging his opponent up on the top rope. He then pulls Jeff off the ropes for a reverse ddt in the middle of the ring, following up with a pinfall attempt, getting a 2 and a half count.

A frustrated Edge picks the exhausted Jeff up by the hair again, getting him in a powerbomb position again. He hoists his opponent up but Jeff counters with a sitout facebuster, buying himself some time. Jeff measures Edge and grabs him in a front facelock, signalling for the twist of fate. Edge counters, pushing Jeff into the ropes halfway through the move, bending over to hit a back body drop but the Hardy Boy hits a kick to the face, causing the rated r superstar to stand up. Jeff then swips for a right hand but Edge ducks, grabbing him in a belly to back position to hoist him up and prop him on the top rope, before turning around to grab him under the armpits for a crucifix powerbomb off the top. The WWE Champion then grabs Jeff's legs and flips over to pin him with a bridge for the 3 count and win.

The referee hands Edge his WWE Title belt but instead of leaving, the champion surprisingly offers his longtime rival a hand, helping him up off the mat. Edge then raises his title with one hand, and Jeff's with the other, in an apparent sign of respect after the hard fought battle. The rated r superstar then shows his true colours, turning to nail Jeff in the face with the title belt, flooring him. Edge laughs and leaves the ring smiling as the crowd boo.

J.R. calls Edge 'sick' and 'disrespectful', before saying that all that aside, he is in the main event tonight and could well be going on to Judgement Day this Sunday.

Backstage, John Cena is interviewed by Maria. He says it's great to be back and adds that he feels better than ever, as he demonstrated last week when he beat Ken Kennedy. Cena continues, saying now that he is back, he has his sights set on regaining the WWE Title once again and offers a challenge to Edge for a match at Vengeance in four weeks time, as the crowd cheer in the background. Cena finishes by saying that he's beaten Edge before for the WWE Title, and he'll do it again.

Elsewhere, Chris Masters is shown working out when he is approached by Melina. The Women's Champion tells Masters that there are an awful lot of superstars laying claim to shots at the WWE Title but says that Master's isn't even in the picture. She says that despite last weeks setback, when Masters fought Edge in a qualifying match, they are still on the same side. She then tells the Masterpiece that if he could prove himself by taking out other contenders, then he may be considered for a shot himself somewhere down the line. She leaves the room as Masters is shown clearly giving the proposal some consideration.

Matt Hardy vs. Carlito (w/Torrie Wilson)

Both babyfaces make their entrances to cheers from the sold out crowd.

The bell rings and both superstars touch fists in a show of respect before circling each other in the ring.

They finally lock up and struggle, before Carlito comes out with a headlock. Matt struggles and punches at his opponent, before pushing him into the ropes to hit a hip toss. The two men stand up and square off again, circling the ring, before locking up again, this time with Matt winning out with an armlock. Carlito manages to elbow Matt in the stomach and backflip out of the move, before hitting a dropkick knockdown, hitting a hurricarana into a pin for 2count as they get back up to their feet.

Carlito takes control, kicking Matt in the stomach to grab him for a vertical suplex. He lifts him up but Matt counters, landing a neckbreaker, before getting back up to meet Carlito with right hands and a discus punch. He then whips him into the corner, following up with a running clothesline and running bulldog, before going for the pin, getting a 2 count of his own. Matt gets to his feet to deliver a fist drop to Carlito's forehead, before propping on the second rope in the corner for an elbow drop. He hooks the leg again for a 2 and a half count, as Carlito kicks out just in time.

Matt picks his opponent up again, whipping him to the ropes but Carlito counters with a springboard back elbow out of desperation. The two competitors get to their feet and battle back and fourth with right hands, before Carlito wins out, backing Matt off the ropes to whip him accross the ring, running at him for an offensive maneuver. On the return Matt manages to grab his opponent for a side effect, as Carlito does the same, cancelling both men out.

Both men stay grounded on the mat as the ref begins a 10 count. They finally come round and get to their feet at an 8 count, as Carlito goes over the ring to grab Matt in a front facelock for a ddt, nailing him with it by the ropes before rolling onto him for another pinfall attempt. The ref counts to 2 and a half when Matt gets his foot on the bottom rope. Carlito stands up and measures Matt as he pulls himself up the ropes. He grabs Matt for the back cracker but the 'never say die' Hardy Boy turns out of it and grabs Carlito in a reverse facelock for a reverse ddt, swinging round to hit the twist of fate. He then dives down and hooks the leg for the 3 count and win.

An exhausted Matt roles out of the ring to be handed his World Tag Title, which he raises high to a 'Hardy' chant. Suddenly, Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury run out to hit Matt from behind. Mercury lifts him up and they deliver a snapshot on the concrete floor as Melina cheers them on.

J.R. anounces that the King of the Ring RAW final will feature Edge against Matt Hardy, before debating whether or not Matt will be fit to compete.

Backstage, Victoria is shown by the watercooler when she is approached by Candice and Maria. They say they listened to Victoria last week on RAW, when she told them they were just 'eye candy'. Candice then slaps Victoria accross the face, knocking her to the ground, before asking her what she thinks of that. Victoria gets to her feet and slaps Candice back, causing a brawl, which has to evetually be seperated by officials. Maria shouts that they want Victoria in a tag team match next week on RAW and tell her to find a partner.

Elsewhere, Melina, Nitro & Mercury are shown laughing at their attack on Matt Hardy, when they run into Jonathon Coachman. Coach says that after last weeks visit from Mr McMahon, he can't afford to let NME run wild. He apologises but says that they're going to have to take the rest of the night off. Armed policemen step foward and are told to escort the trio out of the arena.

Match 3
Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

The World's Greatest Tag Team's music hits as the duo come out to a great reaction from the crowd. They run down to the ring, sliding in, to pose in opposite corners.

Cade & Murdoch make their way out next to heat, as they point and laugh to each other about their opponents. They climb into the ring to be met by an immediatte assault by the Haas & Benjamin, who beat down on the rough necks, before throwing them both over top ropes to the outside as the crowd cheer. Cade & Murdoch regroup on the outside, when Benjamin hits a running somersault plancha off the ropes, onto them. He then picks Murdoch up and throws him in the ring to start the match with Haas, before picking Cade up and tossing him shoulder first into the ringsteps.

The bell rings and Haas stomps away at Murdoch before picking him up for a double underhook suplex. He then picks Murdoch up and whips him accross the ring to the ropes, lifting him up on the return to drop him onto the top rope, hanging him up. Haas then tags in his partner and picks Murdoch up by the legs as Shelton runs accross the ring and leapfrogs him to hit the body guillotine. Shelton pulls Murdoch off the ropes with a german suplex, before pointing to Cade. He then picks Murdoch up and throws him over to Cade in the corner, telling him to make the tag. Cade tags his fallen partner a enters the ring to square off with Benjamin.

The two men lock up, with Cade using his strength to force his opponent back into the corner, going for a right hand slap to the chest, which Benjamin ducks under, swapping places with the rough neck to deliver a hard kick to the stomach. He then grabs Cade's pants and runs him around in a circle, back into the ring post, shoulder first, following up with an old school roll up from behind for a 2 count. Benjamin picks Cade up by the hair and goes over to his corner to tag in Haas. The World's Greatest Tag Team whip Cade off the ropes and nail him with a double hip toss, before Haas props himself on the second rope in the corner to hit a missile dropkick as his opponent comes round, following up with a pinfall attempt for a 2 and a half count.

Haas picks Cade up by the hair as the World's Greatest Tag Team continue to dominate, whipping him to the ropes for an attempted overhead belly to belly suplex, but fails to lift the bigger man. Cade deliver a headbutt to Haas, causing him to reel and turn away holding his head, allowing his opponent to nail a big clothesline to the back of the head. He then drags Haas up and tags in Murdoch, holding Haas in a standing sidelock so his partner can leap off the second rope in the corner to hit a fist drop to the gut.

Murdoch then leans Haas against the ropes and whips him accross the ring, failing to see the blind tag made by Benjamin. Murdoch swings for Haas, who ducks and grabs him from behind for a german suplex with a bridge , which Benjamin triggers with a superkick to the jaw as the referee prevents Cade from entering. Benjamin then runs and knocks Cade off the apron as the ref makes the 3 count to give The World's Greatest Tag Team an impressive victory.

The duo celebrate as an irate Cade & Murdoch regroup on the outside and back up the rampway.

Backstage, Matt Hardy is shown holding his head as a doctor tells him he can't wrestle tonight. Matt ignores him and storms out of the room, saying he'll face Edge in the main event tonight.

Elsewhere, Carlito is shown walking backstage with Torrie Wilson when he runs into Ken Doane. Doane congratulates Carlito in making it so far in the King of the Ring tournament, before saying that he wants to talk business. Doane cuts to the chase and tells Carlito that he wants a shot at his U.S. Title. Carlito says he will think about it before walking off.

Randy Orton's music hits the arena and the young superstar makes his return after missing a week due to injuries induced by WWE Champion Edge

Orton comes down to the ring in a suit and gets on the mic. He tells the people that two weeks ago he got a beatdown at the hands of Edge and several other superstars. He then says that he hasn't been detered from his journey to the WWE Title and tells the crowd that he is now more determined than ever. Orton continues by saying that he understands John Cena made Edge an offer for a match at Vengeance, before informing the audience that he is going to do the same. Before he can continue, Chris Masters' music hits and the masterpiece makes his way out to the bottom of the ramp with a mic, not entering the ring.

Masters tells Orton that he won't be getting a title shot at Vengeance, and neither will John Cena, because the #1 contender slot belongs to the masterpiece. Before he can continue, John Cena's music hits and the fan favourite makes his way out to the entranceway. He tells Orton and Masters that he has been through more than both of them put together and deserves the title shot at Vengeance in four weeks. He continues by saying that if anyone wants to prove to him why he shouldn't be the #1 contender then he will get in the ring to earn it anytime. The three men look set to fight as Orton takes his jacket off, when Jonathon Coachman's music hits and the general manager makes his way out.

Coach tells all three men that they all have arguments for being the #1 contender and adds that they will get the chance to decide who is next week on RAW, when they will compete for a title shot at Vengeance in a triple threat match. Coach's music hits as he leaves. The three superstars stare each other down, before leaving one by one.

Backstage, Edge is shown looking concerned, after watching the latest events unfold on a tv moniter. He talks to himself, saying that he needs to focus on tonight's match and Judgement Day.

Elsewhere, Matt is shown talking with his brother Jeff. Both are bandaged after their respective fights earlier in the night. Jeff tells Matt that he has his back and asks him if he's sure he wants to compete. Matt says nothing is going to stop him from competing in the RAW King of the Ring final tonight.

Match 4
Super Crazy vs. Ken Kennedy

The high flying Super Crazy makes his way out first to a huge ovation from the sold out crowd. He runs down to the ring to slide in a pose, before Kennedy's music hits.

The brash, cocky, loudmouth makes his way out to boos, as he walks down to the ring and climbs through the ropes to stare at his opponent.

The bell rings and Kennedy offers Super Crazy his right hand in the air, but hits him with a stiff kick to the midsection instead, following up with a beatdown and side slam backbreaker. He then picks his opponent up and whips him off the ropes for a swinging side slam, followed by a cover for a 2 count.

Kennedy picks Super Crazy up again and whips him to the corner but his agile opponent jumps up to the top turnbuckle and hits a moonsault with a pin for a 2 count of his own.

Super Crazy picks Kennedy up and grabs him in a front facelock, backing up to the second rope in the corner for a tornado ddt, but Kennedy fights back with right hands, before putting his opponent accross his shoulders. He then turns and hits a rolling fireman's carry slam. Kennedy then climbs through the ropes and goes up to the top, leaping off to nail a Kenton Bomb, followed by a pin for the 3 count.

Following the match, Kennedy stomps Super Crazy out of the ring and has his mic lowered in the centre of the ring. He says there has been alot of talk about the #1 contender for the WWE Title, but people seem to be forgetting him. Kennedy says if anyone is deserving of a title shot, it's him, and says he will prove it by beating the other three contenders in one on one competition. He finishes by saying that in four weeks there will be a new WWE Champion, Mr. Kennedy.

As Kennedy leaves, Jonathon Coachman's music hits and the general manager makes his way down to the ring, passing the former United States Champion on the rampway.

Coach gets in the ring and addresses the crowd, telling them that he is under strict orders from Mr. McMahon to make sure that the RAW King of the Ring final runs smoothly. With that in mind, Coach announces that anyone who tries to interfere with the match will be suspended indefinately. The general manager then leaves the ring and joins J.R. and the King on commentary as Matt Hardy's music hits.

Edge vs. Matt Hardy

J.R. discusses the history between the two competitors as Matt makes his way out, posing for the crowd, before running down to slide into the ring and climb to the second rope to pose again.

As Matt warms up, Edge's music hits, and the WWE Champion makes his way out, wearing the title belt around his waist. He comes down to the ring, not breaking eye contact with Matt, climbing up the ringsteps and through the ropes. He continues to stare at Matt and the two go toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring to exchange heated words as the crowd get a 'Hardy' chant going.

Edge holds his WWE Title up to intimidate Matt but the Hardy Boy attacks Edge with right hands, causing him to drop it. The ref removes the belt as the bell rings to signal the begining of the match.

The two superstars battle back and fourth with right hands until Edge wins out with a kick to Matt's injured torso, before lifting him up in a vertical suplex position, but slamming his opponent down foward onto his front, in a sitout position. Hardy clutches his torso in pain as Edge makes the cover for a 2 count.

The WWE Champion picks Matt up by his hair and throws him through the ropes to the outside, before leaning against the turnbuckle in corner to wait for a count out victory. The ref counts to 6 when Matt manages to roll back in as J.R. announces Edge's clever gameplan of exhausting his injured opponent.

Back in the ring, Edge stomps away at the Hardy Boy, before picking his head up off the mat to slap him in the face. He then climbs onto the the second rope in the corner and measures Matt for a missile dropkick, which he nails, following up with another pinfall attempt for a 2 and a half count. A frustrated Edge picks Matt up by the hair and lifts him in another vertical suplex position, this time dropping him foward accross the top rope, hanging him up. Edge then laughs to himself and taunts the crowd, who react with deafening boos. The rated r superstar eventually goes over to Matt, who manages to fight back with right hands from the other side of the ropes, before grabbing Edge's head and dropping to the outside, hanging his opponent up on the top rope. Matt quickly rolls back into the ring to measure Edge and hit a side effect, following up with a pin for a 2 count.

Matt takes control, picking Edge up by the hair and dragging him over to the corner to slam his head off the top turnbuckle several times, before hitting a running bulldog out of the corner. The 'never say die' Hardy Boy then waits for Edge to get to his feet before ducking a right hand to attempt a belly to back suplex, which the WWE Champion counters with elbows to the head, before hitting a impaler ddt. Edge then grabs Matt and whips him hard into the corner at short range so he hits it front-first, targeting his injured torso again, before landing him with a reverse ddt. The rated r superstar covers and puts his feet on the ropes, which the ref notices at a 2 and a half count. Edge complains and argues with the referee, before turning around to be hit with right hands by the valiant Hardy Boy, which the WWE Champion counters with a sudden knee to the stomach and whip off the ropes for a big boot to the face. Edge then goes accross the ring and crouches down for a spear, charging Matt as he turns around, but the has the move countered when Matt side steps it and throws Edge shoulder first into the ringstep, re-injuring the same shoulder Edge hurt in his match earlier tonight against Matt's brother Jeff.

Matt pulls a groggy Edge out of the corner and nails a twist of fate, followed by a pin for a 2 and a half count when the resourceful WWE Champion manages to get his foot on the bottom rope.

Both of the exhausted competitors pull themselves up and trade right hand blows once again, until Matt ducks and grabs Edge in a belly to back suplex position, lifting him onto the top turnbuckle, before hitting several blows to the lower back region. He then turns around and grabs Edge under the armpits for a running sitout crucifix powerbomb out of the corner, in an echo from earlier in the night when Edge used the same move fromt he opposite corner to defeat Matt's brother Jeff. Matt holds Edge in the sitout position for the 3 count and victory as the crowd go wild, chanting 'Hardy' again as J.R. announces that he will go onto Judgement Day this Sunday for the King of the Ring final and chance to face Shawn Michaels for the Intercontinental Title.

An exhausted Matt climbs to his feet and holds his World Tag Team Belt in the air as the crowd cheer, until a recovering Edge hits him from behind and whips him off the ropes for a spear, leaving Matt writhing in pain, clutching his injured midsection. Edge goes to the outside and throws two chairs into the ring, before returning to set up a con-chair-to, when Jeff runs down to the ring, sliding in from behind to make the save. Edge and Jeff trade blows until the WWE Champion is down on one knee, when he hits a low blow. He then picks up a chair and nails Jeff in the head again, knocking him out cold.

Edge then turns back to Matt when Randy Orton storms the ring, turning Edge around for an RKO. Orton celebrates until Ken Kennedy jumps the barrier at ringside and slides into the ring to nail Orton from behind, before hoisting him up for the 'green bay plunge' standing rolling fireman's carry slam. Kennedy picks up the WWE Title and stares at it until John Cena runs down the rampway and slides into the ring to turn him round and nail an 'FU'. Cena then picks the Title Belt up and raises it above his head as the crowd cheer until Chris Masters comes from the side of the rampway and into the ring to grab Cena in the masterlock, until he is out cold. Master's then picks up the gold and stares at it, before hitting a recovering Edge with it to show it's every man for himself. Masters then holds the gold up in the air, amidst the carnage, as the last man standing when RAW goes off the air.

An impressive pyro display explodes out of the entranceway, as the final ECW before Judgement Day kicks off.

The Big Show's music follows and the general manager makes his way down to the ring in a suit. He gets into the ring and addresses the crowd, saying that as everyone knows, ECW World Champion CM Punk will defend the title this Sunday against Test. The general manager continues, saying that although he has been warned by Mr McMahon about the wellbeing of the talent, he can still make a stipulation to the one on one match. With that said, the Big Show reveals that this sunday, CM Punk will defend the ECW World Title against Test in an Extreme Rules, Falls Count Anywhere Match. He then turns his attention to the present, and says that in the interest of fairness, neither of Sunday's competitors will be competing tonight, before announcing the main event as being Rob Van Dam vs. The Great Khali in a Handcuff Match. Show then says that under strict orders from Mr. McMahon, should anyone interfere in the match up, they will be fined heavily and suspended indefinately. The general manager then finishes by announcing that Bobby Lashley and Hardcore Holly will get their chance to compete in next week's main event, before leaving and heading to the back as the cheer the announcements just made.

Backstage, ECW World Champion CM Punk knocks on Rob Van Dam's door and enters, coming face to face with the fan favourite and his bodyguard, Bobby Lashley. He says he wants to wish Van Dam luck in his Handcuff Match in tonight's main event. Van Dam thanks him and wishes Punk luck in his Falls Count Anywhere Match this Sunday but says that after they've dealt with their common enemies in the next two weeks, it will be every man for himself again. He then finishes by saying that he will be gunning for the ECW World Title once again, looking at the belt on Punk's shoulder, before Bobby Lashley steps foward to do the same. Punk nods in agreement before backing off to leave the room.

Match 1
Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer

The fast rising Burke makes his way out to major heat from the crowd. Tazz says that although you may not like Burke, he has to be given credit for wiping out the F.B.I in recent weeks. Burke takes the mic and tells the crowd that as they may know, he has single handedly destroyed one of ECW's veteran tag teams. He then says that he intends to do the same tonight when he takes on Tommy Dreamer, saying it is time for the new generation to step up. Burke begins a verbal attack on Dreamer, who cuts the cocky extremist off with his entrance music, mid sentence.

Dreamer makes his way out to a huge fan favourite reaction, running down the isle to slide into the ring and go straight for Burke.

Dreamer starts strong with the right hands, backing his opponent against the ropes, before whipping him accross the ring, running with him to hit a knee strike on the rebound. He then repeats the move, whipping Burke to the other side of the ring, before kicking him in the midsection and nailing a piledriver. Dreamer covers and hooks the leg but Burke impressively kicks out at 2 and a half. 'The innovator of violence' picks his opponent up by the hair and slogs him with more right hands before whipping him into the corner, before going for a running attack when Burke gets his feet up whilst holding the ropes, to kick his enemy in the face. Burke then steps out of the corner and lifts Dreamer up for an inverted atomic drop, causing his oppoent to keel over in pain. Burke then runs off the ropes for a flying forearm smash to ground Dreamer, following up with a pinfall attempt for a 1 count.

Burke takes control and picks Dreamer up, whipping him hard into the corner to follow up with a running stinger splash. He then whips the ECW veteran to the opposite corner, before going for another stinger splash, only to have Dreamer move at the last second, leaving Burke to land face first on the top turnbuckle. Dreamer collects a stunned Burke, as he turns around, to hit him with the death valley driver, following up with a pin for the 3 count and win.

Dreamer stomps Burke out of the ring before standing on the second rope in the corner, pointing to his enemy, sending home the message that the legacy of ECW is alive and well.

Backstage, a heavily bandaged Balls Mahoney is interviewed by Rebecca about his match with Mike Knox last week. He tells the camera that there's no doubt he took a severe beating last week, but he intends to be back in action next week and says he has his sights set on the ECW World Title. Balls continues, saying he is long overdue for a title shot, when Rene Dupreeinterupts the interview. Dupree tells Mahoney that he is nowhere near the athelete he is and doesn't deserve a title shot. The vain extremist continues, saying that Balls should sort out his appearence, calling him a toothless mess. Balls gets in Dupree's face and challenges him to a match next week on ECW, saying he'll show him what ECW is all about. Dupree accepts and leaves as a fired up Balls stares at him.

A promo airs on the titan tron, hyping the debut of 'the alpha male', Monty Brown, in three weeks times.

Match 2
The Sandman vs. Matt Striker

Striker makes his way out first, looking focused and ready.

The Sandman's music hits and he makes his way through the crowd with signature cane in hand, cracking a beer can on his head to draw blood.

The two men stare down before reigniting their rivalry. Sandman lunges at Striker, who rolls out of the ring to safety, shaking his head and turning to head for the back. Sandman quickly follows him and attacks him from behind, beating down on him before throwing him back into the ring.

The Sandman slides back into the ring, but the fast recovering Striker stomps at him violently, holding the top rope for leverage. He continues to stomp on the Sandman, who crawls to the nearby corner, where Striker takes advantage, choking his opponent before hitting a running knee to the face. ECW's self proclaimed 'teacher' then drags his groggy opponent out of the corner by his feet and drops down ontop of him for a quick cover, which the Sandman kicks out of at 2. Striker picks his long term rival up and grabs him from behind for a double knee backbreaker, before pacing around the ring to pose for the crowd, who respond with deafening boos. He grabs Sandman in a front facelock for a ddt, as he gets to his feet, but the fan favourite drives Striker back into the corner, following up with shoulder thrusts to the midsection and right hands to the face. He then kicks his opponent in the stomach and pulls him out of the corner to nail him with a ddt, covering for a 2 count.

The hardcore legend picks Striker up, but the teacher breaks free and rakes the Sandman's eyes, briefly pacing around the ring to regain his composure, before hitting a running clothesline knockdown. He then covers his opponent, with his feet on the bottom rope for leverage, which the referee spots immediatley. Striker argues with the ref until going to pick his opponent up again. Sandman plays Striker at his own game, breaking free to hit a rake to the eyes, causing the teacher to swing and miss with a right hand, allowing the hardcore veteran to nail a russian legsweep. The Sandman covers and gets the 3 count.

Striker rolls out of the ring and leaves, whilst the Sandman celebrates with several beers. Suddenly the lights go down and the Brood appear on the titan tron. Thorn congratulates Sandman on his win but says that he isn't through with the gothic trio by any stretch, telling him they want a rematch of the six man tag match that took place two weeks ago. Gangrel then adds that Sandman may have to find a replacement for one of his partners. The camera pans out and Al Snow is tied and gagged on the floor. Shannon Moore is then shown crushing him with several chair shots, until Snow is motionless. The lights then go up in the arena and the Sandman has been given a blood bath.

Backstage, Test and Hardcore Holly are shown with Khali & Daivari. They have a similar discussion to the fan favourites earlier, with Test, Holly and Daivari firing Khali up to go out and annialate Van Dam once and for all in the main event up next. The conversation then turns, with Holly telling Test that he has his shot on Sunday, after which, regardless of the result, he will be next in line. Khali stares down at Holly, and Daivari states that Khali is the next #1 contender for the ECW World Title. Khali then leaves for his match as Daivari, Test and Holly look at one another.

Rob Van Dam vs. The Great Khali

'One of a kind' hits the arena and Rob Van Dam makes his way out to a huge standing ovation. He slides into the ring and demonstrates his martial arts skills, before looking up to the pole on the corner closest to the announce tables, with the handcuffs attached to the top.

Khali's music hits and the giant slowly walks down to the ring, up the ringsteps and over the top rope to stare down Van Dam.

The bell rings and Van Dam runs at Khali for a spinning heel kick, but the monster catches and lifts him, to throw Mr. Tuesday Night over the top rope to the outside. Khali follows, climbing over the top rope and dropping down off the apron. He walks over to Van Dam, who grabs a chair, closes it and hits a 'Van Daminator' spinning heel kick with it, into Khali's face to temporarily stun him. The giant tries to charge Van Dam, who hits a drop toe hold on him, onto the steel ring steps. He then places the steel chair over his face as he rolls over, to hit a spinning leg drop on it.

Van Dam then rolls back into the ring and climbs up to the top rope, retrieving the handcuffs early on, before rolling out again to try and apply them to Khali. As he does so, the giant fights back, pushing Van Dam away, only to have him come back with a kick to the face as he sits up. Khali gets to his feet despite Van Dam's right hands, and grabs him for a two handed chokehold, looking set to put the high flyer through the announce table, when the ECW legend hits a 'legal' low blow kick. He then picks the steel chair up and plants it accross Khali's back, causing him to stagger towards the ring and climb back in.

Van Dam throws the handcuffs and steel chair into the ring, before jumping on the apron and climbing to the top turnbuckle, leaping off at Khali as he gets to his feet for a crossbody. The fast recovering Khali catches Van Dam in mid air and hoists him up onto his shoulder for a devastating powerslam. Khali paces around the ring as the crowd boo, before picking the exhausted Van Dam up by the hair for a headbutt, sending him stumbling accross the ring to rest accross the top rope. Khali then goes for a running big boot to the back of Van Dam's head, but the fan favourite drops down holding the top rope, leaving the monster to straddle it. Van Dam then grabs the handcuffs and fastens Khali to the top rope, before picking up the steel chair to nail him with several shots. The referee is left with no choice but to stop the match when Khali can no longer stand, making Van Dam the winner.

Van Dam celebrates by doing his signature taunt on the second turnbuckle, whilst the crowd chant 'R.V.D.', as the superstar motions for the ECW Title Belt around his waist, as ECW goes off the air.

Smackdown​

The last Smackdown before Judgement Day starts with General Manager Theodore Long making his way down to the ring.

Long gets in the ring and addresses the situation regarding the final match to be made for this Sunday's PPV. The General Manager says that as everyone is aware, he has been approached by several of Smackdown's brightest young superstars, who all want a match at Judgement Day. With that in mind, he says that he has come to a decision and announces the final match as being an Open Invitational Elimination Match, exclusive to the Smackdown roster who aren't already competing at the PPV, whereby a superstar will join the match every minute. Eliminations will be by pinfall or submission only and the winner will become the new #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title.

After Long has finished making the announcement, DX's music hits and the duo make their way down to the ring to join the General Manager. Hunter has a microphone and tells the sold out crowd to 'shut up', before saying that last week the Undertaker had a lucky victory over ECW extremist Sabu. He then says this week it's going to be different and reveals that Long has granted him a match of his choice for the main event once again.

Before he can continue, Vince McMahon appears on the titan tron. He tells Hunter not to be so sure of himself and says that after two weeks of DX getting their way, he decided it was time to give the Undertaker a chance to make the main event. The chairman then says that Shawn Michaels will also be in action tonight, facing off against Mark Henry, Booker T and Paul London in a Non-Title, Fatal Fourway Match.

An irate DX kick the ropes and shout at the chairman, as his music plays.

Backstage, the Cruiserweight Champion Paul London approaches Jamie Noble. London congratulates Noble on his victory last week, saying he beat him fair and square in the middle of the ring. The champion then wishes him good luck for tonight and extends his hand to Noble, who looks at it before looking London in the eyes, telling him that after he wins the King of the Ring tournament and Intercontinental Title this Sunday, he plans on coming the Cruiserweight Title.

Match 1
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Kane vs. Chris Benoit

A huge explosion hits as The Big Red Machine makes his way out, whilst footage is shown from previous weeks showing Kane's dominance. Cole and JBL hype the 2 on 1 Inferno Match for this Sunday, saying that as tough as Kane may be, Regal & Taylor may prove to be too much.

Benoit's music hits and The Wolverine comes down to the ring looking focused and climbs through the ropes to stare at Kane accross the ring.

The bell rings and Benoit goes straight for Kane, nailing him with several right hands, before going to whip him off the ropes. Kane reverses and flings Benoit accross the ring, attempting to connect with a big boot, but The Wolverine ducks and runs off the opposite ropes to hit a dropkick to the leg, causing The Big red Machine to kneel down. Benoit looks to take advantage immediatley and tries to apply the crossface but Kane gets to his feet and shakes Benoit off by throwing him to the ropes again to land him with a tilt-a-whirl slam.

Kane measures Benoit for a chokeslam, but The Crippler hits a stiff kick to the midsection and attempts the crossface again, getting Kane down on one knee. the Big Red Machine fights back and stands up to grab Benoit for a chokeslam, landing him in the middle of the ring.

Before he can go for the pin, Taylor runs down to ringside, getting Kane's attention. He jumps on the apron causing the ref to try and stop him entering, whilst Regal comes from the crowd and climbs on the apron behind The Big Red Machine. Kane measures it and turns around to grab him for a chokeslam but the cunning Brit nails him with a right hand wearing the brass knuckles, before dropping down and climbing the barricade back into the audience. Taylor also drops down and backs up the isle as a recovering Benoit manages to drape his arm over Kane for the 3 count.

Benoit rolls out of the ring and looks to the top of the isle at Taylor, realising what has happened, before looking back at the ring to see Kane sit upright. A shocked Taylor backs up and makes his way to the back.

Winner and tournament advancer: Chris Benoit

Backstage, DX are shown complaining about Vince's announcement earlier tonight, and speculate who Triple H may be facing in tonight's main event.

Elsewhere, RAW King of the Ring finalist Matt Hardy is shown arriving in a limo, stepping out with his World Tag Team Championship Belt to cheers and a 'Hardy' chant from the sold out crowd.

Backstage again, Kane is shown stalking Taylor, who lures him in, for Regal to blindside the Big Red Machine with a chairshot to the head. Taylor then picks up a steel chain and lashes Kane accross the back, before the tag team has a car back up. They load Kane into the trunk and lock it, throwing the keys away. They then tell the driver to go.

Match 2
King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Batista vs. Jamie Noble

Batista makes his way out to a fan favourite reaction, before his opponent comes out to a mixed reception.

The bell rings and the two competitors circle the ring as JBL comments on Noble's recent success.

Noble shoots for a fake takedown to test Batista before continuing to circle.

The two finally lock up, with Batista winning out, using his sheer power to drive Noble back into the corner. Noble counters and uses his speed to duck a right hand and deliver some of his own, before pulling Batista out of the corner for a swinging neckbreaker. Noble quickly climbs to the second rope and hit s a guillotine leg drop followed by a pinfall attempt, which Batista powers out of at 2, pushing his opponent clear off him.

Noble comes back with strikes to Batista's back as The Animal gets to his feet, before whipping him accross the ring, only to be met by a hard shoulder block knockdown by the former World Heavyweight Champion. Batista regains his composure and grabs Noble for a Batista Bomb in the middle of the ring, covering for the quick win.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio is interviewed by Kristal. He responds to Chavo's comments last week by saying he realises it could be the last match of his career, but he that's how much he wants Chavo in a no-holds barred, I Quit Match. Mysterio then reveals that there is more on the line, as the loser will be forced to leave Smackdown, saying this match truely is 'all or nothing'.

Elsewhere, DX are shown preparing for Shawn's match, up next.

Match 3
Fatal Fourway
Shawn Michaels vs. Booker T vs. Mark Henry vs. Paul London

All four competitors make their entrances, with London getting the biggest pop, followed by Booker T and then HBK, who recieves a mixed reaction. Henry recieves major heat on his entrance.

The four men stand in each corner and stare down as the bell rings, before London goes to work on HBK, whilst Booker goes to work on Mark Henry, backing each of the heels into opposite corners. They then whip them into one another in the centre of the ring as the crowd cheer, before Booker hits London from behind, following up with a 'book end' side slam. He then goes for the cover but Henry manages to get to his feet and pull Booker off in time, picking him up for a gorilla press slam above his head, throwing him to the outside.

Henry then turns around into a 'sweet chin music' by Michaels who goes for the quick cover to get a 2 and a half count, when a recovering London manages to break it up. London then picks Michaels up by the hair, hitting him with right hands before landing a waffle face, sky lift chickenwing facebuster.

A recovering Booker T hits London from behind again, whipping him off the ropes, only to have the cruiserweight champion counter with a hurricarana. London then climbs up to the second rope and attempts a diving crossbody on the recovering Mark Henry, but the World's Strongest Man catches him for a fallaway slam in one motion, staying ontop for a 2 count, when HBK manages to dive on top and make the save.

A recovering Booker T joins HBK, as they double team Henry with right hands to the back as he gets to his feet, before whipping him to the ropes. Henry counters, hitting a double shoulderblock knockdown, following up by throwing Michaels out of the ring to the outside before whipping Booker into the corner, following up with a running splash, causing Booker to stumble foward and land on his back in position for a banzai drop. Henry goes up to the second rope and lands the huge move, crushing his opponent, causing him to roll around the ring in pain. London comes from behind to hit a dropkick to the back of Henry's head, before sitting on the top rope to hit a tornado ddt on the World's Strongest Man. London gets to his feet as HBK re-enters the ring. The two men look at each other before looking at their fallen opponents, who are both lying parallel to opposite corners of the ring. The two fan favourites then go up as the crowd cheer, before looking at one another and hitting simultaneous diving elbow drops.

The two men get to their feet and work the crowd who are in a frenzy, until HBK nails London with a sweet chin music superkick to the jaw, dropping down for the pin and 3 count.

A cocky Michaels rolls out of the ring to collect his Intercontinental Title off the ringside official, before backing up the ring and shrugging his shoulders at his three fallen opponents.

Backstage, MVP is shown bragging to his ladies, telling them he's going to win the elimination match this Sunday at Judgment Day, to go on and face the Undertaker or Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title. The Miz walks by and says he'll have to go through him first, causing a stare down between the two men.

Elsewhere, WWE Tag Team Champions K.C. James & Idol Stevens are interviewed by Kristal. They admit it is unfortunate that they won't be defending the titles at Judgement Day this Sunday, but justify it by saying there are no teams to challenge them. They are suddenly interupted by Brian Kendrick, who says he will find a partner to challenge them next week. The champions accept and wish Kendrick and his partner luck.

Match 4
Smackdown King of the Ring Final
Chris Benoit vs. Batista

Matt Hardy's music hits and the RAW finalist makes his way out to a huge ovation from the sold out crowd. He comes down to ringside and joins JBL & Cole on commentary.

Benoit's music hits and The Rabid Wolverine comes down to the ring for the second time, to another huge reaction. He gets in the ring and stares at Matt for a brief moment, before turning to the entranceway when Batista's music hits.

The Animal comes out to a mixed reaction and makes his way down to the ring to face off with Benoit.

The bell rings and the two men come face to face for an intense stare down, before trading right hands back and fourth. Benoit wins out with a kick to the midsection and a snap suplex, holding on to deliver two more, mimicking the legendary Eddie Guerrero. The Wolverine then picks Batista up and whips him off the ropes, meeting him with a lariat knockdown, before going for the pin. Batista kicks out at 2 and Benoit picks him up for more punishment.

Batista fights back and shoulder barges Benoit into the nearby corner, following up with thrusts to the midsection, before moving Benoit to the ropes to whip him off for a spinebuster. Batista then grabs the top rope and goes crazy, before pointing at Matt Hardy and picking up his opponent for a Batista Bomb. Benoit counters and back body drops the Animal, following up with running lariat knockdowns and a northern lights suplex with a bridge for a pinfall attempt. Batista again kicks out at 2 gets to his feet to swing for Benoit, who ducks and lands a german suplex, keeping his hands clasped around the Animal's waste to hit two more. The Wolverine then does his cut throat taunt and goes up to the top rope to hit a diving headbutt on the former World Heavyweight Champion, climbing ontop for a 2 and a half count as Batista kicks out just in time.

Benoit grabs his opponent again to whip him off the ropes for another lariat knockdown but Batista ducks and hits the opposite ropes to come back with a devastating spear. He then measures Benoit for a huge Batista Bomb followed by a pin, which Benoit just about manages to kick out of a 2 and a half.

Batista picks Benoit up for another Batista Bomb, signalling with his thumbs down taunt, but Benoit grabs his legs and trips him, locking in the sharpshooter. The Animal screams in pain and slowly edges towards the ropes to break the hold but as he is just within reach, Benoit pulls him back into the middle of the ring. Batista hangs on for several seconds before tapping out to the submission hold.

Benoit celebrates and stares down Matt Hardy, before leaving and heading to the back.

Backstage, Finlay is shown with Little Bastard, saying after this Sunday, he will be back in the title picture again. He then tells Little Bastard not to screw things up for him.

Elsewhere, Regal & Taylor are on the phone to their driver, who tells the tag team that he dumped the car and set fire to it just as they told him to. Regal & Taylor look pleased with themselves when there is a knock at the door. They look at one another before cautiously answering, with weapons in hand, to come face to face with a fan who asks them to autograph his program. The duo refuse and shut the door, only for the fan to knock again. They answer again and tell him to leave them alone, saying they don't associatte with lower class hillbillies. They slam the door in the fans face again, only to here a knock for a third time. They answer the door again and Kane bursts into the room, man-handling the tag team, who manage to escape and flee to the parking lot, where they jump in a car and speed off as The Big Red Machine looks on.

Match 5
Triple H vs. ?

DX's music hits and the duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels make their way down to the ring. Hunter looks up at the entranceway and awaits his opponent.

The Undertaker's music hits and he comes out to the entranceway. He has a mic and tells Triple H that tonight he will be competing in a gauntlet match, against several handpicked opponents from Hunter's past.

First up is Shelton Benjamin, who storms the ring and begins to battle with Triple H, as JBL comments on their history, reminding us that Benjamin got 3 upset wins over The Game in 2003. JBL then suggests that the Undertaker is playing mind games with Hunter.

Benjamin and Triple H slog away at one another until Hunter nails a knee strike to the midsection, before whipping his opponent off the ropes for a facebuster onto his knee, followed by a lunging clothesline. Triple H then goes for a pin but Benjamin kicks out at 2. Hunter picks his opponent up for a vertical suplex, but has it countered when Benjamin counters with a falling neckbreaker. The young superstar then measures The Game for his signature 't-bone' exploder suplex into a pin for a 2 and a half, when it looks as if Benjamin might repeat his upset success over Triple H. Benjamin waits for Hunter to get to his feet before attempting a superkick, which The Cerebral Assassin ducks, before nailing a kick to the midsection, following up with a pedigree and cover for the 3 count. Benjamin rolls out of the ring defeated as Triple H looks up to the entraceway to await his next opponent.

'One of a kind' hits and the ECW veteran Rob Van Dam runs down to the ring. Triple H meets him with right hands and whips Van Dam off the ropes, but the extremist hits a spinning heel kick on The Game. Van Dam takes control and collects Triple H by his hair, before whipping him to the corner and following up with a monkey flip, propelling the Game accross the ring. An eager Van Dam then jumps straight up to the top turnbuckle and does his signature taunt, as the crowd chant 'R.V.D.', before leaping off for a five star frog splash, missing when Triple H rolls out of the danger zone at the last second. As the two men come round, Triple H takes advantage to hit a pedigree on the groggy extremist, followed by a pin for the 3 count.

A fast-tiring Triple H looks up to the entranceway for his next opponent, who is revealed as being the legendary Ric Flair. Flair runs down to the ring and battles with Hunter, backing him into the corner with knife-edge chops. The Nature Boy then hits a shin breaker out of the corner and goes to apply the figure four leglock, looking for a quick win in the middle of the ring. Triple H shows why he is the game and reverses the move, turning over onto his stomach to eventually force Flair to tap out.

A struggling Triple H manages to pull himself up the ropes for his next opponent, Randy Orton. Orton takes control straight away, beating down on Hunter, before picking him up for a standing high angle dropkick. He goes for a pin but HBK jumps on the ring apron to distract the ref and Orton, allowing Triple H to hit a low blow. The Game gets to his feet and hits yet another pedigree to put Orton away for the 3 count.

Triple H drops back down to the mat exhausted as his last opponents music hits, revealing himself to be John Cena, who DX destroyed at Backlash, 1 month ago. Hunter rolls out of the ring and tries to escape through the crowd as HBK goes to meet Cena in the isleway to trade blows. Cena wins out and hoists Michaels up for an F.U. onto the floor, before following Triple H through the crowd to beat him down and bring him back to the ring. Cena hits his spin-out powerbomb before going for the five knuckle shuffle, but is hit with a chairshot when he runs off the ropes by a recovering HBK, out of sight from the ref.

Both men slowly get back up and trade right hands until Triple H hits a kick to the midsection and runs off the ropes, only to have it countered when Cena hoists him up for an F.U. The Game struggles free however and lands behind Cena, hitting him with another kick to the midsection when he turns around before landing another pedigree. The Cerebral Assassin then slumps over Cena for the 3 count and victory, laying motionless.

The Undertaker, who has been watching on from the entranceway, walks down to the ring and climbs through the ropes. A recovering HBK tries to come to his team-mates aid with the steel chair but the Undertaker hits it back into his face with a big boot. He then picks Triple H up by the hair and lands him with a huge chokeslam in the middle of the ring, leaving The Phenom standing tall with the momentum going into this Sunday's PPV.

Judgement Day​

The show opens with a huge pyro display as the sold out crowd cheer. The ring is set up for the inferno match, up first.

Match 1
2 on 1 Inferno Match
William Regal & Dave Taylor vs. Kane

Regal & Taylor's music hits and the tag team make their way out to an arena filled with boos. The duo warm up in the ring as Michael Cole states their clear advantage in this match up, due to the fact that they have very little material to be set on fire.

There is a massive explosion from the entranceway as the Big Red Machine emerges and slowly walks down to the ring. He climbs onto the apron and over the top rope, before lifting his hands in the air and bringing them down to cue explosions of fire from each ringpost and the flames surrounding the ring.

The bell rings and the tag team go to work on Kane, slogging him with right hands and then whipping him off the ropes. The Big Red Machine counters, coming back to hit Regal & Taylor with a double clothesline as the crowd cheer. The Monster knocks the two brits down as fast as they can get up with right hands, before whipping Taylor into the corner and then Regal into him. Kane then charges across the ring to squash the tag team with a running clothesline, causing Regal to stumble out of the corner and collapse, allowling The Big Red Machine to go to work on Taylor.

Kane pulls Taylor out of the corner and whips him off the ropes for a big boot to the face. He then measures his opponent for a chokeslam, grabbing him by throat, but Regal manages to break it up when he hits a 'legal' low blow, following up with strikes to the back and a running high knee strike to the face off the ropes. A recovering Taylor then joins his partner to stomp away at Kane, before dropping down to choke him.

The tag team pick Kane up and whip him into the corner as JBL announces how close Kane is to the flames. Taylor then meets Kane in the corner and whips him out to Regal, who knocks The Big Red Machine down with a hard punch to the face. They then both grab Kane and try to drag him to the edge of the ring into the flames, but the inferno match veteran fights back, knocking Regal away with a punch to the face to stand up with Taylor, who still has his leg, and hit an enzguiri kick to the head. A recovering Regal runs at The Big Red Machine but is caught with a tilt-a-whirl slam, leaving both of the brits grounded. Kane goes to the corner and climbs up to the top turnbuckle, diving off to hit a flying double clothesline on the tag team, as the flames explode and leap up into the air.

The Big Red Machine gets to his feet and makes a cut-throat motion, before measuring Regal for a chokeslam. He grabs him but waits for Taylor to turn around to grab him to and set up a double chokeslam, only to have it broken up when Regal manages to kick Kane for another low blow. The tag team then grab their rival for a double vertical suplex next to the ropes, which would land him in the fire. They tug at him twice but can't lift The Monster. Kane then counters with an extraordinary double vertical suplex on the tag team into the middle of the ring. He then measures them again to hit Regal with a devastating chokeslam and then collect Taylor for a tombstone piledriver, leaving him motionless in the middle of the ring.

Suddenly the crowd react, as a returning new-look Paul Burchill emerges from the entranceway with long hair and wearing jeans. He has a dumpster with him, and wheels it down to ringside, distracting The Big Red Machine. Kane eventually turns his attention back to an exhausted Regal, who manages to hit a rake to the eyes to disorientate his opponent, before leaning on the ropes to catch his breath. The monster tries to charge Regal with a running big boot to the face, but misses when his opponent side steps it, causing Kane to straddle the top rope and stand in the flames. The bell rings as Kane is set on fire, before Regal pushes him to the outside into the dumpster. Burchill then closes the lid and padlocks it shut with chains. A battered Regal helps a savaged Taylor out of the ring and up the isleway with Burchill. The trio then turn around at the entranceway to look back on the burning dumpster with a crazed look on their faces.

Backstage, King of the Ring finalist Matt Hardy is shown with his brother Jeff. Jeff tells Matt that tonight he has an oppurtunity to not only win the King of the Ring tournament, but to bring the Intercontinental Championship back to RAW. A fired up Matt tells him that tonight he has a tough challenge with Chris Benoit in the final up next but says that he has got this far on his 'never say die' attitude and he isn't about to quit now. Jeff nods in approval as the camera cuts.

Elsewhere, we see Rey Mysterio backstage with his wife and son. His wife is pleading with him not to compete in tonight's 'I Quit: Loser Leaves Smackdown' match but Rey says it isn't about pride. He says it's about revenge.

Back at ringside Michael Cole and JBL discuss the horrific conclusion to the opening match, which saw Kane set on fire and locked in a dumpster. Cole announces that Kane has been rushed to a nearby hospital facility as footage is shown of officials and paramedics extinguishing the dumpster and recovering Kane from inside, putting him on a stretcher and placing a blanket over him straight away.

Match 2
King of the Ring Final
Chris Benoit vs. Matt Hardy

Benoit's music hits and The Rabid Wolverine makes his way out to a warm reception, looking set for business.

Cole suggests that Benoit has the momentum going into this match, based on not only his experience but the fact that Matt Hardy can't be 100% after Monday night RAW.

The Team Xtreme music hits and Matt enters the arena to a huge ovation. He walks down to the ring a removes his shirt to show his bandaged midsection.

Matt rolls into the ring and stares across at Benoit. The bell rings and Matt extends his hand to benoit in a show of good sportsmanship, which The Wolverine looks at for a second before accepting.

The two men circle the ring before locking up, with Benoit going behind with an armlock, which Matt elbows out of and runs off the ropes for a running clothesline. Benoit counters, ducking the clothesline and hitting Matt with a knife-edge chop knockdown on the return. He then runs at Matt as he gets to his feet, knocking him back into the corner with a forearm shot, before hitting shoulder thrusts to the midsection followed by a snap suplex, floating over into a pin. Benoit gets a 2 count as Matt kicks out under his own steam.

The Wolverine picks Matt up and lifts him up for a vertical suplex, dropping him foward across the top rope. He then kicks Matt in the head and straightens him up so he is stood on the apron, before suplexing him back into the ring. The Wolverine then climbs through the ropes and up to the top turnbuckle for a diving headbutt, missing when Matt rolls out of the way. the 'never say die' superstar then hits a side effect on his opponent to buy himself sometime.

Both men slowly get back to their feet before Benoit lunges at Matt with a right hand shot, which is blocked. Matt then comes back with several right hands and a discus punch to knock The Crippler down, whipping him to the corner when he gets back up to his feet. Matt then hits a running clothesline and bulldog out of the corner before going for the pin to get a 2 count.

The Hardy Boy picks Benoit up for a twist of fate but The Cripple pushes him to the ropes for a powerslam. He then shakes off his grogginess and grabs Matt for a backbreaker onto his knee, holding him there to stretch his injured midsection, before letting him drop to the mat. He then goes to apply the crossface but Matt quickly scrambles to the bottom rope and safety. Benoit picks Matt up by the legs while he clings to the bottom rope, and hits a stiff kick to the midsection, before yanking him off the ropes to cause him to land front first on the canvas. Matt pulls himself up the ropes but Benoit grabs him for behind for rolling german suplexes, landing two but staying standing the third time to apply a side stretch to the injured midsection. Matt screams in agony but manages to edge towards the ropes and grab the top one to break the hold. Benoit goes over to grab Matt for another german suplex but Matt elbows him in the head, sending him stumbling back. He then turns around to duck a right hand by Benoit and hit a kick to the midsection, followed by a twist of fate in the middle of the ring and pin, getting a 2 and a half count when Benoit just kicks out in time.

The two men slowly get to their feet and meet in the middle of the ring, where Benoit trips Matt by his legs and grabs them for a sharpshooter, which Matt manages to reverse into a double underhook submission with body scissors. Matt cranks with everything he's got, stretching Benoit to the point where he has to tap out.

Matt is helped to his feet as the sold out crowd cheer him and he is announced as King of the Ring 2007.

Backstage, Brian Kendrick approaches Cruiserweight Champion Paul London and Ashley. He cuts to the chase and asks London if he will tag with him on Smackdown this coming Friday, to challenge WWE Tag Champions Idol Stevens & K.C. James for the titles. London says he'd be honoured and hi-5's his partner, as Cole announces what a huge match that will be.

Elsewhere, DX are shown warming up. Hunter says that tonight they may stand alone but the spirit of DX will carry them both through and when it's all said and done they will be Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Champions. Triple H smiles as Shawn looks confused.

Match 3
Smackdown Open Invitational Elimination Match

The ring announcer informs the crowd of the rules of the match, saying that earlier today, superstars drew numbers at random. Two competitors will start the match and every minute another superstar will enter. The only way to eliminate an opponent is via pinfall or submission and the winner will become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Miz's music hits and the annoying upstart makes his way down to the ring as the crowd boo. He runs off the ropes and awaits his opponent.

There is a brief pause before Booker T's music hits and he comes running down to the ring, sliding in to duck a right hand from the Miz and hit a running clothesline. He then collects his opponent and whips him into the corner before pulling him out for an arm twist and hook kick. The former World Heavyweight Champion celebrates with a 'spin-a-roonie' in the middle of the ring, before grabbing the recovering Miz for a 'book-end' side slam, which is interupted when Mark Henry's music hits.

The World's Strongest man makes his way down to the ring as Booker drops the Miz and slides out of the ring to meet Henry in the isleway and trade blows. the two men battle back and fourth until Henry overpowers his opponent and runs him into the steel ringsteps. He then picks him up in a gorilla press slam and throws him through the second and top rope back into the ring. He then walks up the ringsteps and climbs into the ring to stalk Booker and grab him for a bearhug. Booker holds on until the Miz breaks up the submission, hitting Henry from behind. The monster drops Booker and turns his attention to the Miz, who pleads with Henry before trying to run. Henry grabs the Miz by his hair and yanks him back down to the mat, following up with a splash, which he misses when the Miz rolls free. The cocky young superstar then stomps away at Henry as he gets back to his feet but The World's Strongest Man pushes him back off the ropes to pick him up for a body slam. Henry then turns around to be met by a superkick by Booker T, causing him to fall back onto the Miz, inadvertently pinning him for a 3 count and eliminating him from the match. The crowd count down from ten in preparation for the next superstar.

Finlay's music hits and the Irishman runs down to the ring, sliding in to brawl with Booker, backing him up into the corner and hitting a knee strike to the gut, following up with a short arm clothesline and pinfall attempt, which Booker kicks out of at 2. They get to their feet and Finlay continues the assault, knocking Booker back against the ropes before whipping him and bending foward to anticipate a back body drop, which Booker counters with a sunset flip into a pin, which is broken up at 2 by a recovering Henry. The World's Strongest Man picks Booker up and whips him off the ropes for another gorilla press slam, throwing him ontop of a recovering Finlay. The dominant Henry then picks Finlay up and whips him into the corner, collecting Booker to do the same. With both men in the corner, Henry goes for a running body squash, but only hits Finlay when Booker moves out of the way. Booker then hits Henry with a kick to the midsection and goes off the ropes for a scissors kick to the back of the head, followed by a pinfall attempt, which is broken up at 2 and a half by Finlay, who falls out of the corner exhausted onto Booker.

The crowd count down from ten again, before The Boogeyman's music hits and he makes his entrance. The bizarre superstar enters the match up and grabs Finlay for a chokebomb, before helping Booker T go to work on Mark Henry with right hands. They back Henry into a corner before he powers back, pushing both superstars back across the ring. He then hits the Booker T with fallaway slam, before dragging him to the corner for a banzai drop, which he misses when The Boogeyman manages to pull Booker out of harms way. Suddenly, Little Bastard emerges from under the ring and climbs onto the steel ringsteps to hand Finlay his shillelagh. Finlay then hits The Boogeyman from behind with it, sending him tumbling over the top rope to the outside. Finlay then turns around to nail Booker with it but he ducks and hits a kick to the midsection, following up with another scissors kick and pinfall. Henry attempts to break up the pinfall with a big splash but Booker sees it and moves, leaving The World's Strongest Man to land on Finlay.

The next superstar to enter the match is MVP, who runs down to the ring and battles with Booker, winning out as the fresh man, to whip him to the corner and follow up with a running big boot and ddt. Henry wants the cover and MVP lets him have it, but turns on him by stomping him at 2 and a half, and hitting an overdrive neckbreaker as he gets up. MVP goes for the cover and gets a 2 and a half himself before Henry kicks out. Porter then dives ontop of Finlay for another 2 and a half count, as the Irishman just manages to kick out in time. A frustrated MVP picks Finlay up and hits several shots before going to run off the ropes when The Boogeyman grabs his leg from the outside. A distracted MVP then turns around to get hit with the celtic cross by Finlay. The Irishman the grabs a recovering Henry for an arm breaker ddt before being hit out of nowhere with a jumping superkick from Booker T.

Another minute is up and the final superstar enters the match up. A new entrance music hits and Flash Funk makes his debut, running down to the ring as Booker hits another scissors kick on Henry. Funk goes straight up to the top turnbuckle and hits a 450 splash on The World's Strongest Man. He and Booker T then dive ontop for the joint pin to get the 3 count and eliminate Henry. They then look at one another, before being attacked by Finlay and MVP. Both men fight back in seprate corners until Finlay hits a knee strike to the midsection of Flash Funk and delivers another celtic cross, pinning him for the 3 count to eliminate him. As the ref is distracted with the pinfall, MVP hits a low blow on Booker and follows up with knee strikes to the head before locking in a crossface submission. Booker looks to be closs to tapping when The Boogeyman breaks it up with a stomp, before picking MVP up, ducking a right hand, to go for a pumphandle slam. Before he can hit the move, Finlay comes from behind to hit him and roll him up, grabbing his pants to cheat for the 3 count.

Finlay, MVP and Booker T are left battling it out and the double team begins. The two heels grab Booker for a double hanging vertical suplex, before picking him apart with stomps ad right hands. Finlay hits a third celtic cross near the corner and MVP hits a split legged moonsault off the ropes for the pin and 3 count to eliminate Booker.

Finlay immediatley turns on his short term partner and hits him from behind, into the corner. He then picks him up over his shoulder and drops him face first onto the top turnbuckle, causing MVP to stagger out of the corner stunned. Finlay then goes off the ropes for a clothesline but MVP ducks and hits a spinning heel kick. Both men lay on the mat exhausted, until Finlay grabs his shillelagh and gets to his feet. The ref stops him before he can strike MVP, causing an argument. As Finlay turns around, Porter hits him with a spinning capoeira kick to the face and dives ontop for the 3 count and win. He rolls out of the ring and drops to his knees in celebration as an irate Finlay argues with the ref.

Winner and new #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title: MVP

Backstage, The Undertaker is interviewed by Kristal. He says that he is ready for anything Triple H might have planned and adds that after tonight he will still be World Heavyweight Champion. When asked about his thoughts on MVP winning the #1 contender spot, The Phenom says it doesn't matter who he faces, whether it's Triple H, MVP, Shawn Michaels or Batista, he has beaten them all before and he will do it again. he concludes by saying tonight, Triple H and Degeneration X will rest in peace.

Elsewhere, Chavo Guerrero is shown talking with Vickie. He says it is too dangerous for her out there says she should stay backstage. He then suspiciously adds that 'if it comes to it, you know what to do', before heading for the ring.

Match 4
I Quit: Loser Leaves Smackdown
Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero

Chavo's music hits and he makes his way to the ring carrying a chair, as the crowd boo him. He gets a mic and says that the chair may look familiar to alot of people, as it's the same chair that put Rey Mysterio out of action last year. He then continues by saying that tonight history is going to repeat itself, but is cut short when Rey's music hits.

The fan favourite gets a standing ovation as he returns to the ring. He runs down to the ring carrying a chair of his own and slides in. Rey swings his chair and smashes Chavo's out of his hand, leaving the Guerrero looking scared for his safety. Chavo backs up pleading with Rey before dropping back out of the ring and walking round the ring, seemingly headed to the back.

Rey runs and slides out of the ring to chase Chavo and bring him back down the isle, hitting several right hand blows. He then bounces Chavo's head off the apron and jumps up onto it to hit a springboard moonsault off the second rope, before picking Chavo back up and rolling him back into the ring. Rey jumps on the apron and attempts a springboard seated senton, but Chavo counters it into a sitdown powerbomb. He then picks Rey up and goes for a vicious shin breaker, targeting the fan favourite's previously injured leg, before attempting a knee lock and getting the ref to put the mic to Rey's mouth, in the hope that he'll quit. Chavo shifts tactics and picks Rey up for a delayed vertical suplex into a powerslam, before going to fetch his chair from the outside. He holds it up as the crowd boo him, but has it kicked in his face when Rey manages to hit a running baseball kick into the chair, knocking it back into Chavo's face.

Mysterio goes to the outside and mounts Chavo for punches to the face before putting the mic to his mouth. Chavo doesn't quit so Rey picks him up and whips him into the ringpost on the outside, before slamming his head off the announce table and laying him across it. He then jumps on the apron and attempts a splash but Chavo manages to roll free, sending Rey through the announce table. Chavo then takes control again, picking his opponent up to roll him back into the ring, before throwing the chair in and rolling in himself.

Chavo drags Rey to the corner and and traps his leg in the chair, before jumping off the second rope onto it, crushing his rival's knee. Chavo puts the mic to Rey's mouth but the resiliant fan favourite tells Chavo to 'go to hell'. The Guerrero picks Rey up and hits the three amigos suplex combination, before going up to the top rope for a frog splash. Rey sees it and manages to push the ref into the ropes, causing Chavo to straddle the top rope. Mysterio then picks himself up and goes over to the corner, meeting his enemy on the second rope to land several right hands before sending him across the ring with a hurricarana. As a stunned Chavo gets to his feet facing away from his opponent, Rey hits a dropkick, knocking Chavo onto the second rope. Mysterio then hits a 619 off the ropes. He then collects the chair and stands over Chavo, ready to beat him, when Vickie Guerrero appears on the titan tron.

Vickie is shown in a dark room somewhere with Rey's wife and son tied up. She says they'd hoped it wouldn't come to this but Vickie says if Rey doesn't quit and leave Smackdown, then she would be forced to do something she doesn't want to do. A clearly disturbed Rey agrees and reluctantly says 'I Quit', before dropping the microphone and leaving the ring with his head held.

Chavo manages to pull himself up and celebrate as his music hits, and the crowd boo him.

Winner: Chavo Guerrero

Backstage, Test is interviewed about his match next against CM Punk for the ECW World Title. He says it's a shame that he'll be winning the title at a second rate PPV, but states that regardless of that, he will be the champion. He attacks Punk verbally, saying he isn't 'extreme'. Test argues that he has been the impact player in ECW for the better part of the last year. he concludes by saying that tonight, he's going to teach CM Punk the real definition of the word 'extreme'.

Elsewhere, Matt is with his brother Jeff again. Jeff congratulates him winning the King of the Ring final but says he has a bad feeling about his match against HBK, Shawn Michaels later tonight. Matt says it's up to him to bring the Intercontinental Title back to RAW, and says he can't let his brand down. Jeff tells him to be careful and says he has his back as always.

Back at ringside, Cole and JBL discuss the conclusion of the last match, with the Guerreros holding Rey Mysterio's family hostage. Cole describes the actions as 'low' and 'sickening', as Test's music hits.

Match 5
ECW World Title
Extreme Rules: Falls Count Anywhere
CM Punk (c) vs. Test

Test's music hits and the challenger makes his way down the isle to major heat from the crowd.

CM Punk's music hits and the champion gets a huge ovation as he comes down to the ring.

The two men stare down as the bell rings. They circle and lock up, with Test driving Punk back into the corner, but Punk ducks a right hand and trades places, stomping Test in the gut and then running up the ropes to hit a charging high knee strike to the head and bulldog out of the corner. Punk then measures his opponent as he gets to his feet and nails him with punches, a backhand chop, a spinning reverse slap and a roundhouse kick combination to knock Test back down.

Punk stomps Test to the outside and goes under the ring to search around. He collects a kendo stick but Test is high-tailing into the back.

Punk follows Test into the backstage area, but loses him temporarily. The ECW World Champion searches around until he is blindsided by Test with a steel chain. The challenger then runs Punk head first into a pile of boxes, before pinning him for a 2 and a half count.

Test takes control and picks the champion up by his hair, walking him through the backstage area to the parking lot, throwing him into objects along the way.

In the parking lot, Test climbs onto the roof of a car with Punk, setting him up for a powerbomb, but the champion back body drops him onto the front windscreen, smashing it under the challenger's weight. A groggy Punk drops down to pin Test, but the challenger kicks out at 2 and a half.

The champion takes control again and gets Test in position for a side slam, but The Impact Player elbows out and hits a running big boot. He shakes off his disorientation and goes after Punk again, hitting a full nelson slam on the concrete and going for another pinfall, seemingly having the match won, but the champion kicks out at 2 and a half again.

A frustrated Test picks the champion up and hoists him onto his shoulders for a TKO but Punk counters and drops behind to hit a side slam into the anaconda vice, cranking back with all his strength and forcing the exhausted challenger to eventually tap out.

The referee hands Punk his title belt and raises his hand in victory.

Winner and still ECW World Champion: CM Punk

Elsewhere, DX are interviewed about their respective matches up next. Shawn takes the mic first and congratulates Matt Hardy on his King of the Ring victory, saying there's no doubt he is one tough son of a bitch, but states that he doesn't a chance in hell of taking his Intercontinental Title. The Heartbreak Kid continues by saying that although he admires Matt for his efforts, there's no way he can beat the legend that is Shawn Michaels. He then runs off his accomplishments, before questioning what Matt has done, dismissing him as a tag team wrestler. He finishes by saying that he's going to beat Matt around, just like Hunter's going to beat the Undertaker tonight to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H then takes the mic and says earlier tonight the Undertaker said he was ready for anything The Game had up his sleeve. Hunter tells The Undertaker he doesn't have any idea what he has planned and concludes his brief speech by saying that he can guarentee he will be the new World heavyweight Champion tonight and DX will reign supreme again.

Match 6
Intercontinental Championship
Shawn Michaels vs. Matt Hardy

The Team Xtreme music hits and Matt makes his way out for the second time to a standing ovation from the crowd. He gets in the ring holding his midsection briefly, causing the referee to question if he wants to fight. Matt nods and awaits his opponent as Shawn Michael's music hits.

HBK makes his way out to a mixed reception, wearing his title belt and dancing down to the ring. He gets in the ring and poses as pyro's explode behind him, before handing the belt to the ref and looking at Matt.

The bell rings and the two men collide, locking up in the middle, before Shawn goes behind for an armbar, forcing his opponent into the ropes from behind. Matt counters and holds onto the ropes to send HBK rolling back. Shawn then charges the tag team champion but Matt ducks down to push him up and over the top rope, which the degenerate copes with, managing to land on his feet on the apron. The two men trade blows until Matt hits a cutter on Shawn across the top rope, causing him to spring back to the outside. Matt goes up to the top turnbuckle in the corner and sizes Michaels up, before diving off to hit him with a splash. He then picks Shawn up by the hair and rolls him back into the ring, following to cover for a 2 count.

Matt picks Shawn up again and whips him off the ropes but The Heartbreak Kid manages to duck a clothesline attempt and come back off the other ropes to hit a flying forearm smash, followed by a kip-up. He then knocks Matt down several times with right hand shots, before hitting him with an inverted atomic drop, causing The Hardy Boy to stumble back into the corner. Shawn takes advantage and whips Matt across the ring hard, following up with a running splash. He then pulls him out of the corner and lands him with a body slam, positioning him perfectly for a flying elbow. HBK goes through the ropes and up to the top turnbuckle to hit the diving elbow to Matt's midsection, covering immediately to get a 2 and a half count when the 'never say die' superstar kicks out.

Shawn goes over to the corner and 'tunes up the band' as Matt slowly gets to his feet, going for a 'sweet chin music' that Matt ducks, following up with a kick to the midsection and twist of fate. The tag team champion slowly crawls ontop of Shawn and the ref gets to a 2 and a half count, when HBK kicks out.

The crowd chant for Matt, who moves Shawn before going up for what appears to be a moonsault, when The Heartbreak Kid gets up and hits him from behind. He clubs away at his back and then goes to the second rope to collect Matt for a huge back drop off the top, landing him in the middle of the ring.

Shawn continues the punishment, picking Matt up by his hair as the crowd chant the resiliant tag team champion on. He picks Matt up with a body slam hold but places him in the corner upside down in a tree of woe position, going across the ring to go for a running baseball kick to the face, but Matt manages to pull himself up at the last second, leaving Shawn to slide into the ring post, groin first, with a leg either side. The Heartbreak Kid drags himself out and struggles to his feet, as Matt unwinds himself and drops back onto the mat.

The two men eventually get to their feet on opposite sides of the ring and meet in the middle, where Matt hits another kick to the midsection to attempt another twist of fate, but Shawn pushes him foward into the ropes and lands him with a sweet chin music superkick on the return, dropping down ontop for the 3 count and win.

Shawn rolls straight out of the ring and grabs his Intercontinental Title off the referee to hold it high. He backs up the isleway as Matt slowly gets back to his feet, to a huge 'Hardy' chant and cheers, as Cole announces the title will stay on Smackdown.

Backstage, an ecstatic Theodore Long is shown gloating to Jonathon Coachman over the phone, about the Smackdown victory and the fact that the Intercontinental Title will stay on his show. He hangs up and his smile turns to a look of concern as Chairman Vince McMahon enters Long's office. Vince tell Long that they need to have words, and shuts the door.

Elsewhere, ECW World Champion CM Punk is interviewed about his successful defence earlier tonight. Punk takes the mic and says that tonight's victory over Test should be a warning to anyone who wants to challenge him for the title, whether it's Rob Van Dam, Bobby Lashley, Hardcore Holly or the Great Khali. He concludes by saying he's champion for a reason and tonight he proved it.

Match 7
World Heavyweight Championship
The Undertaker (c) vs. Triple H

Triple H's music hits and The Game makes his way out, carrying a bottle of water. He walks down to the ring and jumps on the apron, before spraying his water out over the crowd and holding his arms. He climbs through the ropes and stands on the second turnbuckle in the corner, crossing his hands over to the crowd.

A gong is heard throughout the arena and The Undertaker comes out, wearing The World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. He climbs in the ring after his usual entrance and stares Hunter down.

The bell rings and Hunter gets in The Undertaker's face, going toe to toe and face to face for a heated face-off. Triple H breaks first, with a right hand, triggering a trade off of punches, which The Undertaker wins out on, backing Hunter into the corner with boxing jabs. He then whips the Game off the ropes but Triple H reverses it, which The Phenom counters, hitting a flying clothesline off the ropes. He then paces around the ring before grabbing Triple H by the arm and backing up the ropes in the corner to go for the 'old school' arm twist ropewalk chop, but the Game pulls him off balance and drags him off the top rope to the canvas. He then mounts The Undertaker for several right hand shots to the forehead, before hitting a jumping knee drop off the ropes. The Cerebral Assassin then measures Taker for a kick to the stomach and attempted pedigree but The Phenom back body drops him and hits him with a chokeslam as his opponent gets back up. Triple H wisely rolls out of the ring after taking the impact, as JBL compliments him on the smart defensive tactic, saying he can't be pinned if he rolls to the outside.

Taker climbs through the ropes to the outside and goes around the ring to collect Hunter by the hair, hitting him with right hands and running him face first into the ringpost. He then tries to pick him up by the hair again but Triple H hits a low blow out of sight from the ref. Taker stumbles around before The Game takes him out with a running clothesline, rolling in and out of the ring to break the referee's 10 count. Hunter goes to slam Taker's head off the announce table, but the champion blocks it and hits the challenger in the stomach. A winded Triple H stumbles back and rolls into the ring to buy himself more time again.

Taker rolls back into the ring and pressures Triple H, who turns and scrambles to the bottom rope in an attempt to escape, but the champion grabs his legs and lifts them up, kicking The Game in the stomach. He then picks Hunter up and whips him off the ropes for a big boot to the face, before signaling for the end with his cut-throat taunt. Suddenly, Shawn Michaels appears from the entranceway and comes down to the ring, temporarily distracting The Phenom, who points and shouts at HBK.

Taker turns back to Triple H, who tries to fight back with right hands to the midsection, which The Deadman surpresses immediatley with a firm shot to the forehead. He picks Hunter up off his knees and grabs him for a chokeslam for a second time, purposefully backing up to the ropes in anticipation of Michaels interferring. True to form, The Heartbreak Kid jumps on the apron and tries to cause a distraction, but The Undertaker drops Triple H and turns around to grab Shawn by the head. He then drags HBK into the ring and hits him with right hand knockdowns, before collecting him for a tombstone piledriver. Taker drops him with the devastating finisher, causing the Intercontinental Champion to roll out of the ring devastated. Taker then turns around to be hit with a kick to the midsection and pedigree by Triple H, in the middle of the ring. The Game goes straight for the pin and hooks the leg, in what seems to be a definate victory for the degenerate, but The Undertaker kicks out at 2 and a half.

A shocked Triple H can't believe it and picks Undertaker up for another pedigree, but The Phenom blocks it and hits another back body drop in the middle of the ring. Triple H gets straight back up to his feet and charges The Deadman, but Taker turns and flings him over the top rope onto a recovering Shawn Michaels. He then climbs through the ropes and hits a running clothesline off the apron to the outside on Triple H as the crowd cheer him on. He then throws Triple H back into the ring, who deseprately grabs onto the referee, taking the focus away from ringside.

Suddenly, The New Age Outlaws Jesse James and Billy Gunn emerge from the crowd and attack The Undertaker on the outside, setting him up for a devastating chair shot to the head, before throwing him into the ring and bailing back out into the audience.

The Undertaker gets to his knees in the ring but The Game takes full advantage of the situation, nailing a second pedigree in the middle of the ring and eventually covering for the 3 count.

Michael Cole says that The Undertaker has been screwed, as Triple H is handed the World Heavyweight Championship belt. Shawn rolls into the ring and hugs his team mate in celebration. The duo then turn their attention to The New Age Outlaws, who are still at ringside. Triple H gets a mic and tells them to get in the ring. They respond and enter for a long stare down before the foursome come together for a group hug. The New Age Outlaws then hoist the new World Heavyweight Champion up onto their shoulders and parade him around the ring. The group then stand on each of the four corners and cross their hands as the DX music plays. Michael Cole asks what this means for Smackdown and the WWE, as Judgement Day goes off the air.

RAW​

A pyro display explodes from the entranceway as Monday Night RAW kicks off.

The DX music blares out through the loudspeakers, sending the sold out crowd into a frenzy, and the foursome finally appear at the top of the rampway, performing their signature crotch chops. They dance down to the ring, before sliding in. The New Age Outlaws stand on the turnbuckles, whilst Shawn poses infront of Triple H, both holding their title belts, to do more crotch chops, as pyros cross over behind them. Triple H takes the mic and says that no-one expected him to beat the Undertaker and leave with the gold last night, but he proved them wrong yet again, as J.R. states that the only reason Hunter did so was because of interference from his team-mates, reiterating that it took four men to beat the Undertaker, not one.

The new World Heavyweight Champion takes in the mixed crowd reaction before continuing, saying that DX is back and is once again running the show. The Game then says he would like to formally welcome back to the fold, one of the greatest tag teams of all time, The New Age Outlaws, handing the mic to Jesse James.

The Road Dogg starts his speech with the classic phrase 'Oh, you didn't know?', to a huge reaction from the crowd He continues, saying no-one did know, The Undertaker, the fans, even Shawn. Billy Gunn takes the mic and says alot of people didn't think it could happen, but The Outlaws are back in town and better than ever, before passing the mic to the Intercontinental Champion, HBK.

Shawn says he wanted to come here tonight to personally congratulate Matt Hardy on his effort last night, saying he would like nothing more than to give him another shot at the title, before saying that unfortunately, he isn't going to, and instead The Hardys will be competing in tag team action, defending the World Tag Team Titles against The New Age Outlaws in tonight's main event. Billy Gunn then finishes by saying that DX is back running the show, and if anyone has a problem with it, they have two words for them, as the crowd respond with a deafening 'suck it'. The DX music plays the foursome out.

Backstage, a paranoid Edge is shown with Mercury, Nitro & Melina. He complains about being targeted by several superstars, all wanting a shot at his title, and says that he can't take it. Melina tries to calm the WWE Champion down by telling him that he has the night off and suggests he uses it to relax, as she massages his shoulders. Nitro & Mercury complain about DX coming to their show and calling the shots, saying it should be NME holding the gold.

Elsewhere, Ken Doane knocks on General Manager Jonathon Coachman's door, entering his office to ask for a shot at Carlito's United States Title tonight. Coach says he'd love to give Doane a break but says Carlito is already scheduled for a title defense tonight, causing a frustrated Doane to storm out of the office.

Match 1
Super Crazy vs. Shad Gaspard (w/JTG)

Super Crazy bursts out of the entraceway to a warm fan favourite welcome from the audience. He runs down to the ring and slides in, warming the crowd up at each turnbuckle, backflipping off the last one.

Cryme Tyme's music hits, and Shad makes his way down to the ring, being accompanied by JTG.

The bell rings and Super Crazy ducks a right hand swipe by Shad, to push him into the ropes from behind. Shad grabs the ropes, sending Super Crazy rolling back. Shad then goes for a running clothesline but his speedy opponent ducks again and runs off the ropes to slide between his legs and nail a high angle dropkick. Shad is sent stumbling fowards to lean over the top rope, allowing Super Crazy to run off the opposite ropes and dive over his opponent to the outside, grabbing his head to guillotine him off it. Crazy jumps up onto the apron and measures Shad, when JTG grabs his leg, causing a temporary distraction, allowing his tag team partner to get to his feet and hit several right hand blows to the head. Super Crazy fights back over the top rope, hitting back with right hands and a shoulder block to the stomach through the second and top rope, before diving over the top to roll-up Shad with a sunset flip. The ref gets to a 2 count when Shad kicks out.

Super Crazy gets up and grabs Shad for a straight jacket lift powerbomb, but fails to lift him. Shad attempts a back body drop but Super Crazy rolls with it for another sunset flip maneuver into a dropkick to the face. He then goes to the corner for his moonsault, but Shad grabs onto the referee, allowing JTG to interefere again, shaking the top rope to cause the fan favourite to straddle the top turnbuckle. Shad recovers and pulls Super Crazy horizontal to drag him off the top with a running neckbreaker move, going straight for the pinfall to get a 2 and a half count.

Shad takes control and whips Crazy off the ropes for a big boot to the face, before collecting him from behind for an attempted belly to back suplex, but the high flyer backflips over his shoulder, hits a kick to the midsection and applies a front facelock for a rope run tornado ddt. The exhausted fan favourite manages to scramble ontop and hook the leg for the 3 count and win, rolling straight out after the bell rings, as JTG enters.

Winner: Super Crazy

Backstage, DX are shown walking around backstage, as people stare at them, until they run into Ken Doane. DX mock the young superstar, before Triple H turns serious, asking Doane why he shouldn't beat the living hell out of him. A nervous Doane backs up and falls back into some boxes when the World Heavyweight Champion says 'boo' in his face. The foursome laugh at Doane and move on.

Elsewhere, Randy Orton is interviewed by Maria about his #1 contender match for the WWE Title, against John Cena and Chris Masters, later tonight. Orton says that he has been screwed out of the title time and time again, and that this time he doesn't intend to waste his shot. The third generation superstar continues, telling Maria and the audience that he can beat Cena, Masters, Edge and anyone else, finishing by stating that he will be the WWE Champion when the dust settles at Vengeance.

Match 2
Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada) vs. Viscera

Viscera makes his way out to a weak reaction, before The Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga makes his return to the ring, several weeks after being destroyed by Kane.

The bell rings and the two big men enter into a sumo wrestling match, taking turns to shove each other back using their size and weight.

The heavier Viscera wins out and leans back to run off the ropes, but Umaga shows a huge display of strength and power by using his opponent's momentum against him to lift him for a samoan drop.

Umaga then measures Viscera, hitting him with the samoan spike as he gets to his feet and turns around, before dropping down for the 3 count.

Armando Alejandro Estrada celebrates as J.R. says Umaga looks fresher and stronger than ever.

Backstage, DX are shown entering Jonathon Coachman's office. The New Age Outlaws and Shawn play with valuable objects and ornaments, whilst Triple H talks Coach into making tonight's World Tag Team Title Match, no holds barred. As they leave, Billy Gunn goes to straighten out a picture of Mr. McMahon, but knocks it off the wall by accident. He shrugs his shoulders and says it was a bad picture anyway, as the foursome leave, laughing amongst themselves.

Elsewhere, The World's Greatest Tag Team: Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas, discuss being overlooked and agree that they should be in the World Tag Team Title picture. Suddenly, they are approached by Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, who say they have a much bigger problem than the tag titles, them. They say that last week's tag team victory was a fluke, and challenge Benjamin & Haas to a rematch next week on RAW in a tornado tag team street fight. The World's Greatest Tag Team stand up to Cade & Murdoch, getting in their faces to tell them they accept, which causes teh rough neck team to nod and slowly back off.

Match 3
United States Championship
Carlito (c) (w/Torrie Wilson) vs. Harry Smith

The familiar music of the legendary British Bulldog comes over the loudspeaker and Harry Smith makes his RAW debut to a good reception from the crowd.

Carlito comes out next, being accompanied to the ring by Torrie, looking laid back and relaxed.

The bell rings and the two men circle one another, before locking up in a clinch. Smith uses his strength and power advantage to take control and get the United States Champion in a front facelock, applying pressure to the neck, before clubbing away at his back and delivering a huge delayed vertical suplex, followed by a cover for a 2 count.

Smith continues to capitalise, lifting Carlito up for a powerbomb, but the champion fights back with punches to the face and a hurricarana. Carlito takes advantage of Smith's disorientation and hits him with a running dropkick, knocking him through the ropes to the outside. He then goes to the top turnbuckle and hits a springboard moonsault off the top rope to the outside ontop of Smith. The two men slowly recover and Carlito rolls his opponent back into the ring as the ref reaches a 7 count. The champion goes for a quick pin with his feet on the ropes, to gain a 2 and a half count.

Carlito gets to his feet quickly and looks ready to hit the back cracker on the challenger, but Smith elbows out and then lifts the charging champion onto his shoulder for the trademark running powerslam into the middle of the ring. Smith dives down and hooks the leg to get the 3 count and huge debut victory. The ref hands him the title and he drops to his knees holding it and pointing to the sky in memory of his father, as the crowd cheer.

Winner and new United States Champion: Harry Smith

In another backstage segment, DX are shown walking around harassing roadies and crew members, until they run into The World Tag Team Champions, Matt and Jeff. The Hardys stand up to DX, telling them there's no way they're walking out with the tag titles tonight, before Triple H tells them otherwise. There's an intense stare-down until DX tell them they'll see them out their in the ring tonight, smiling and slapping there tag titles, which are hung over their shoulders, before moving on.

Elsewhere, NME are shown getting ready to watch the #1 contenders match between Randy Orton, John Cena and Chris Masters. Edge is sat clutching his title anxiously as Melina tries to get him to unwind, telling the Rated R Superstar he can beat whoever wins. Nitro and Mercury back her up and tell Edge he is the best WWE Champion of all time.

Match 4
Triple Threat Match: #1 Contendership for the WWE Title
Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Chris Masters

Chris Master's makes his entrance first, to major heat from the sold out crowd.

John Cena is out next to a huge fan favourite reception, as he storms down to the ring and warms the crowd up on the turnbuckle, before dropping down to stare at Masters, the man who knocked him unconcious with the masterlock last week.

Randy Orton's music fills the arena and he makes his way out to another decent reaction from the crowd. He runs down to the ring and slides in, going straight for Chris Masters.

The bell rings and the Orton double-teams Masters with Cena, beating him back into the corner for stomps to the midsection and a harsh whip across the ring into the opposite corner. Cena then whips Orton across the ring for a running clothesline with extra momentum, but then lays him out with a running clothesline when he turns around, establishing that it's every man for himself. Cena pummels Orton as he gets to his feet, and whips him across the ring and off the ropes for a spinebuster, dropping him in position for the 'five knuckle shuffe'. Cena runs off the ropes but before he can drop the fist, Masters explodes out of the corner with a monsterous clothesline of his own, almost decapitating him.

An angry Masters then takes control, picking up Orton for a double underhook release suplex, before flexing his muscles as the crowd boo. The Masterpiece then goes to collect Cena but is met with right hands and a charge off the ropes, but he counters by lifting him for a military press slam, throwing him onto a recovering Randy Orton. Masters then grabs Cena from behind, as he gets up, for an inverted ddt, covering for a pinfall immediately for a 2 count. He picks Cena up and whips him off the ropes, but the fan favourite counters with a flying shoulder block, followed by several right hand knockdowns and a low bridge of the top rope, sending The Masterpiece tumbling to the outside. Cena then turns around into an attemped RKO off Orton, but counters by pushing him off the ropes for a spin-out powerbomb. Cena goes for another 'five knuckle shuffle' and hits it, covering up for a 2 count, when Orton kicks out. Cena picks Orton up and whips him off the ropes, bending foward for a back body drop, but Orton kicks him in the face and nails an RKO.

Before he can go for a pin, Ken Kennedy appears from the side of the rampway, sliding in the ring to attack Orton from behind, beating him down and hitting a 'green bay plunge' rolling fireman's carry slam. Chris Masters crawls back into the ring and applies the measures Cena for the masterlock, applying it until the fan fovourite is out cold for the second week running, as Kennedy drops out of the ring and backs up the ramp. Masters and Kennedy stare at each other as Kennedy backs up the rampway.

No Contest

Backstage, DX run into Nitro & Mercury. The New Age Outlaws laugh at the former tag team champions, asking them what they're wearing. Nitro gets in Billy Gunn's face and tells him that RAW is NME's show, to which Gunn replies that it's DX's show now, and if he's not down with it, he's got two words for him. Mercury interjects and suggests DX go back to the B show, to which Triple H replies 'make us'. The former tag team champions are clearly outnumbered and a confident Triple H says 'I didn't think so', before DX move on, leaving behind the seething duo of Nitro and Mercury.

Elsewhere, Maria catches up with Kennedy to ask him about the ending to the #1 contender match. Kennedy tells her that he's fed up of being overlooked and under-rated, saying he's proven himself time and time again, and deserves a shot at the WWE Title at Vengeance. He finishes by saying he won't rest until he gets his shot, and guarentees that he will be the next WWE Champion.

Match 5
World Tag Team Championship: No Holds Barred
The Hardy Boys (c) vs. The New Age Outlaws (w/Triple H & Shawn Michaels)

The Team Xtreme music blares out over the speakers and the fan favourites make their entrance to a pyro and deafening cheers from the crowd. They run down to the ring and pose in all four turnbuckles, warming up the crowd for the main event, and holding their titles up high.

The DX music hits and the New Age Outlaws make their way out, flanked by Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who are both carrying their title belts over their shoulders.

The match starts with Jeff and Jesse James squaring off. The bell rings and they lock up, with The Road Dogg kicking Jeff hard in the midsection and beating down on him with right hands, before making an early tag to his team mate. Billy enters and hits a fist drop to the side of Jeff off the second rope, whilst Jesse James holds him. Gunn takes control and whips Jeff off the ropes for a gorilla press slam, pressing the fan favourite several times to demonstrate his strength, before dropping him. He then picks Jeff up by the hair, but the high flyer fights back with desperate right hands to the midsection and a sitout jawbreaker. He then tries to crawl to his corner but Billy drags him back by the legs and stands up with him in the middle of the ring, only for Jeff to counter again, this time hitting a leg-feed spinning mule kick, before diving into his corner to tag in his brother.

Matt enters and hits a running right hand to Billy, before attempting to run off the ropes, when Triple H trips him, causing a momentary distraction. Billy takes advantage and hits Matt from behind, before lifting him up for a devastating jackhammer suplex for a 2 count. Billy tags in his team mate and a cocky Jesse James goes off the ropes and hits the downed Hardy with his signature dancing knee drop. He then picks Matt up for the doggy style pumphandle slam, but Matt falls back behind his opponent and lands him with a reverse ddt. The two men crawl for their corners but HBK slides in and drags Matt back to the middle of the ring as The Road Dogg tags Billy Gunn back in. Before Jeff can help out, Triple H pulls him down off the apron, slamming his head onto it, before throwing him into the barricade and then the steel steps.

Triple H slides in the ring to join in the 'legal' beatdown on Matt, when suddenly Nitro & Mercury storm the ring with steel chairs. Hunter and Shawn manage to bail but the former tag team champions level the The New Age Outlaws with chairshots. Jesse James rolls out of the ring dazed whilst Billy lies motionless. Nitro and Mercury keep Triple H and Shawn Michaels at bay whilst a recovering Jeff lands a swanton bomb off the top. Matt then drapes his hand over Billy for the 3 count and win. The Hardys slowly recover as Billy is rolled out of the ring to regroup with the rest of DX, as Nitro and Mercury secure the ring.

The Hardys are handed The World Tag Team Titles and stare down Nitro & Mercury with a look of uncertainty, as a furious DX backs up the rampway.

Prior to the show, a promo for ECW's One Night Stand airs, setting the date for 2 weeks time.

The show opens with Balls Mahoney vs. Rene Dupree

Match 1
Balls Mahoney vs. Rene Dupree

Dupree makes his entrance first, posing for the crowd who boo him, as footage is aired from last week when he interupted Mahoney's interview.

Balls' music hits and the crowds cheers as the fan favourite makes his way out carrying his trademark chair

The two square off and Balls manipulates Dupree in a clinch to back him off the ropes and whip him across the ring, looking to follow up with a clothesline, which Rene ducks, rebounding off the opposite ropes, only to be landed with spinebuster.

Dupree gets to his feet but is knocked down several times by the fan favourite. Balls goes to work and whips Dupree off the ropes again, dropping him with a big back body drop as the crowd cheer him on. The hardcore veteran then stalks Dupree as he slowly gets to his feet, to nail him with a 'Nutcracker Suite' Michinoku Driver, seemingly rapping up the win early on, but he doesn't go for the pin. Instead he goes over to the corner to collect his signature chair, holding it up for the crowd, as Styles and Tazz announce that he will be disqualified if he uses the illegal object. Balls looks set to crush the grounded Dupree with a chairshot, when Sylvain Grenier runs down to the ring and slides in behind 'The Chair Swingin' Freak', to hit him with a low blow. Balls drops the chair as Sylvain continues the assault, dropping Balls with a snap ddt. Dupree gets to his feet and the seemingly reunited 'La Resistance' double team him with right hands and stomps, before setting him for a back suplex sideslam/neckbreaker combination, onto the chair.

Before the duo can carry out the move, Stevie Richards runs down to the ring with a chair of his own, causing the newly reformed La Resitance to bail. Balls gets to his feet and the crowd cheer for the two ECW veterans, when Richards turns on Balls and levels him with a chairshot, bending the steel over his head. The crowd boos as Richards holds the chair up in the air, before leaving the ring and making his way to the back.

Winner: Balls Mahoney (by DQ)

Another promo airs, showing tonight's main event as being changed from Bobby Lashley vs. Hardcore Holly, to a Tag Team Match, pitting the unlikely team of Bobby Lashley & The Great Khali against the equally unlikely team of Hardcore Holly & Rob Van Dam.

Backstage, Rob Van Dam is shown warming up when Hardcore Holly approaches. They go face to face and look ready to go, but Holly tells Van Dam that they need to work together tonight, saying it isn't a matter of winning against Lashley & Khali, but a matter of survival. The Alabaman continues by telling Van Dam that he doesn't like him anymore than RVD likes him, but says that if they work together to take out two huge contenders in Khali and Lashley, then they will be doing so in both of their interests. Van Dam nods in agreement but refuses to shake hands with Holly, saying last time he trusted him, he got screwed over. Van Dam finishes the segment by telling Holly that if he screws him over again, it'll be the last thing he ever does.

Elsewhere, Lashley approaches Khali & Daivari for a similar conversation, with Daivari saying tonight they can half the competition for the ECW World Title. It's unclear if Lashley is onboard, but the former champion leaves. Daivari turns to Khali with a grin on his face, before telling the giant that at One Night Stand, The Great Khali will be the new ECW World Champion.

Match 2
The Brood vs. The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer & ?

The Brood faction make their entrance first, with Ariel escorting Gangrel, Shannon Moore & Kevin Thorn down to the ring. The crowd boo them as footage is shown from last week when they assaulted Al Snow, rendering him incapable of competing tonight.

Dreamer and The Sandman make their way out to the classic ECW music as the crowd cheer. Dreamer has a mic and tells The Brood that what they did was unforgiveable, and tonight they will kill them off for good. They then announce their tag team partner as being the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, death defying Sabu. Sabu enters the arena to huge cheers, making his first appearence since his loss to the Undertaker 2 weeks ago, under extreme conditions.

The bell rings and the match starts with Sabu facing off against Kevin Thorn. Sabu dominates from the start, ducking a right hand by Thorn to hit him with right hands in the head, before jumping off the nearby second rope for a springboard leg lariat. He then measures Thorn for a kick to the head, as he crawls to his knees, beofre tagging in Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer and Sabu whip Thorn off the ropes for a double hip toss, before Dreamer crouches parallell to him, so Sabu can hit a triple jump moonsault. Dreamer then covers to get a 2 and a half count as Thorn kicks out just in time.

Tommy picks Thorn up and goes for a Death Valley Driver, but Thorn manages to counter and slip behind for a reverse ddt. Both men get to their feet and Thorn desperatley drives Dreamer back into his own corner with a shoulder barge. Gangrel tags himself in and hits away at the fan favourite whilst Thorn continues to pin him in place. Gangrel takes control and hits a belly to belly suplex into the middle of the ring, following up with triple running elbow drops and a pinfall attempt, for a 2 count.

Gangrel goes over to his corner and tags Shannon Moore in, before dropping Dreamer across his knee with a backbreaker, for Moore to hit a leg drop off the second turnbuckle. The cocky lightweight then locks in a single leg boston crab as Dreamer writhes in agony. The crowd cheer for Dreamer, who manages to crawl over to his corner and tag in The Sandman, who immediatley nails Moore from behind, breaking the hold, before knocking down Thorn and Gangrel as they try to enter the ring. Sandman continues to dominate, throwing Thorn over the top rope and hitting Gangrel with a ddt, going for the cover to get a 2 and a half count as Sabu hits a hurricarana off the apron onto Thorn on the outside.

Inside the ring, Shannon Moore is slyly handed Thorn's signature cane, by Ariel in the corner, which he uses to nail The Sandman with when he approaches. Moore then runs and clotheslines Dreamer over the top rope to the outside as Sabu and Thorn battle around the ring too.

Gangrel capitalises on this and drapes his arm over The Sandman for the 3 count and win.

On the outside, Dreamer has taken control of Moore, but is grabbed by a well disguised Elijah Burke, who has been sat in the front row. Burke nails Dreamer with his signature foward russian legsweep onto the steel steps.

Gangrel, Burke and Moore circle Sabu, who lashes out, only to be eventually beaten by the numbers game. The Brood embrace Burke before leaving.

Winners: The Brood

Another promo airs for the One Night Stand PPV in two weeks, and it is announced that Monty Brown will make his debut at the event.

CM Punk's music fills the arena and the ECW World Champion makes his way out to a standing ovation. He gets in the ring and addresses his fans, telling them that on Sunday at Judgement Day he proved to the world and himself that he's serious about being the champion. He continues by saying that he doesn't mind who he faces at One Night Stand in two weeks time, whether it's Hardcore Holly, RVD, former champion Bobby Lashley, or The Great Khali.

Suddenly, he is interupted by Matt Striker, who comes out with a mic, telling Punk that he came into the WWE after himself, yet he rose through the ranks to become the champion. The jealous former school teacher complains about being held back and says he'll prove himself by beating CM Punk at One Night Stand in two weeks time. Punk shoots back, telling Striker that he doesn't have to wait for One Night Stand, he can have a title shot right hear, right now.

Match 3
ECW World Title
CM Punk (c) vs. Matt Striker

Striker cautiously climbs into the ring as Punk warms up.

The bell rings and the two men circle, before locking up in the clinch. They struggle back and fourth until the champion secures an arm wrench, stepping over the wrenched arm to hit a mule kick on Striker as the crowd cheer in approval. As the challenger gets to his feet, Punk drops him with a snapmare, followed by a kick to the back of the head. He then locks in a reverse Indian deathlock surfboard submission as Striker screams in agony, refusing to tap out.

The champion releases the hold and picks Striker up in a double underhook backbreaker, followed by a pinfall attempt, which the challenger kicks out of a 2 and a half. An exhausted Matt Striker wisely rolls out of the ring and walks around to try and regain his composure but Punk slides out of the ring and follows him, grabbing his head to run him into the steel ringpost, before rolling him back into the ring.

Back in the ring, Striker throws a wild right hand but Punk ducks and lifts him up into a fireman's carry, before dropping him infront for a knee to the face, hitting the 'Go To Sleep', and then dropping down for the 3 count and win.

The ref hands the title belt to the dominant champion, who holds it high to another ovation, before leaving to head for the back.

Winner and still ECW World Champion: CM Punk

Backstage, Bobby Lashley finds Rob Van Dam. They both shake hands and catch up, before turning to business. They say that tonight they do what they've got to do, but both agree to not trusting each other's partners. They both agree to have each other's backs tonight.

A promo is shown, revealing that Mr. McMahon will be appearing on ECW next week

Match 4
Rob Van Dam & Hardcore Holly vs. Bobby Lashley & The Great Khali (w/Daivari)

The Great Khali and Daivari enter the arena first to boos, but the referee immediatley rejects Daivari from ringside, causing the crowd cheer.

Lashley makes his entrance next to a mixed reaction, and comes down to the ring to stand by his partner.

Hardcore Holly's music hits next and the Alabaman makes his way out to another mixed reaction.

Finally, Van Dam's music hits and the fan favourite makes his way out to a huge ovation.

Both teams discuss who will begin and it is decided that Van Dam and Lashley will be starting the match up.

The bell rings and the two men touch hands in a sign of respect, before circling one another. Lashley goes to grab Van Dam, but the ECW legend uses his speed to side step it and hit a flurry of right hands to the face, backing Lashley into the corner. Van Dam hits two turnbuckle thrusts and a back handspring for a third, but Lashley explodes out of the corner with a clothesline, almost beheading the fan favourite. Lashley picks Van Dam up for a running powerslam, but Mr. Tuesday Night counters, dropping behind to shove Lashley into the corner, before jumping off the second rope to hit a springboard kick to the face. He then follows up by going off the ropes for a running cartwheel into a moonsault, for a 2 count, when Lashley powers out, pushing Van Dam through the ropes to the outside. Khali walks down the ringsteps and picks Van Dam up in a gorilla press slam, throwing him over the top rope and back into the ring. As the fan favourite gets to his feet and turns around, Lashley attempts to rush him with a spear, but Van Dam sidesteps it and uses the former champions momentum to throw him shoulder first into the corner. Before he can do anything else, Khali tags himself in and climbs over the top rope, clearly eager to seek retribution for last week's knockout he suffered at the hands of Van Dam.

Khali tries to close Van Dam down, but Mr. Tuesday Night is too quick for him, slipping between his legs to hit him from behind. Khali doesn't appear to be phased by this backs up to crush Van Dam into the corner, crushing him. He then whips him off the ropes for a big boot but Van Dam ducks, and goes off the other ropes, allowing Holly to make a blind tag. As Van Dam rebounds, Khali knocks him down with a standing shoulder block. He picks Van Dam up but is distracted by Hardcore Holly climbing to the top rope. The lapse in concentration allows Van Dam to punch Khali from behind and then sweeps his legs with a low spinning back kick as Holly hits the dropkick, knocking the monster down. Tazz, Styles and the crowd go crazy for the double team move.

Holly goes off the ropes and hits a kick to Khali's face as he sits up, before pushing him back down to the mat and going to sit on the top rope near the corner and hit a leg drop off the second rope, following up with a pin for a 2 count. Holly gets straight back on Khali, hitting him with right hands and locking in a sleeper hold. Khali powers through and stands up with Holly on his back, before managing to grab him and toss him overhead to the mat. Van Dam claps and gets the audience to encourage Holly. Khali picks the Alabaman up and grabs his head for a headbutt, sending him flailing back to stumble and fall onto the second rope. Khali then follows up with a running guillotine leg drop to Holly across the second rope, leaving him almost motionless on the mat. Khali picks Holly up and throws him into the corner so Van Dam can tag in. Van Dam does so cautiously and the crowd get a chant going.

Khali backs Van Dam into a corner, but the fan favourite manages to climb through the ropes and evade being grabbed, managing to stomp the monster into the corner, before hitting two straight kicks and a spinning heel kick, causing him to sit down on the mat in the corner. Van Dam then runs in a wide circle, coming back to hit a running dropkick to the face of Khali. The monster slowly gets to his feet and pulls himself up the ropes, moving towards his corner to tag in Bobby Lashley, before leaning on the ropes. As Van Dam and Lashley tie up, Hardcore Holly hits a running clothesline out of nowhere, taking himself and Khali over the top rope to the outside as the crowd cheer.

Lashley uses his strength to beat the tiring Van Dam down, before whipping him off the ropes for a gorilla press slam, which Van Dam counters by landing on his feet and running off the ropes for a spinning wheel kick to the face. The crowd chant for Van Dam as the two men get to their feet and Holly gets back to his corner, ready to make the tag.

With no-one in his corner, Lashley pulls at Van Dams leg, but the fan favourite turns to hit a spinning mule kick and makes the tag to Holly, who enters and hits Lashley with a running clothesline, before signaling for Van Dam to go up to the tope turnbuckle. He then lands Lashley with an Alabaman Slam, before Van Dan hits a Five Star Frogsplash, bouncing off and clutching his stomach in pain, whilst Holly makes the pin to get the win.

Lashley rolls out of the ring, leaving Van Dam and Holly to stare down as ECW goes off the air.
