WWE Merchandise - UK

rge2010

Mid-Card Championship Winner
I have just been on WWE's 'Euroshop' website and have to say I am shocked. WWE is a former billion dollar company and still does very well for itself yet their European website is something out of 1999. It is utter shite. Add to that, their stock is also very very low on merchandise for their top stars.

Why doesnt WWE cater for the European market anymore in terms of merch? Are things that bad over here? WWE is still fairly popular and known in the UK. 10 years ago you could buy WWE merch almost anywhere that sold clothes, but now it is so sparse it is untrue!!!

Anyway, I want to buy some t-shirts for my son and nephew and dont know where top start. Anygood UK websites that stock WWE merch? Because WWE dont!!!!

WWE Euroshop is indeed a fucking mess. I'd say it looks like something which was designed in 2004, but that'd be cruel to all those MySpace pages crawling in glittering roses and neon signs. I mean, here, just look at the site: http://wweeuroshop.com/

Who the fuck still has a monitor that small? That said, the prices aren't abysmal. They're not good, not by any stretch of the imagination, but they could be much, much worse. We definitely get a worse deal than our American cousins. eBay is probably your best alternative, though you won't be saving a ton of cash. I ordered a CM Punk shirt from plain ol' WWEShop.com but, looking at their international shipping rates, I must have been drunk with lust or something. I must have spent $40, which would have been around £30 at the time. I don't even wear it. Lesson learned.

Otherwise, Silvervision.co.uk is a fantastic site. There's always huge sales - there's a ton of boxsets on sale for £8.99 or less - free shipping (and I've received packages from them about 21 hours after ordering - no joke) and you get a 10% discount if you order three items or more. If you want to educate your son and nephew on wrestling history, they've got a fat stack of DVDs on sale right now, including Austin's newest DVD for just £6.99: http://www.silvervision.co.uk/category/Special-Offers/page1.html

It's a brilliant site, and the contrast between it and WWE Euroshop is like night and day.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, ebay is definately an option and one that I will take a look at.

Fully aware of Silvervision and I fully back your endorsement. Excellent website, I love their 'wild wednesday' offers! I was actually on their earlier looking for some bargains. I know Play and Zavvi also do a decent catalogue of DVD's as well. Its t-shirts I am after though...

Vinny Mac is meant to be angry with the website. WWE Euroshop would be a great place to start!!!!

I love Silvervision, they always have some great deals on there.

Sam, I spotted that incredible offer on the Austin DVD- however, I already own the still fairly recent Legacy Of Stone Cold Steve Austin triple disc set, which is great. Is it worthwhile getting this new one. What does it offer that is different?

I haven't been able to get through much of it - I've got a mountain of wrestling DVDs to get through - but it seems more documentary heavy than the first one. That said, it's not exactly light on matches either, and features Austin's WrestleMania 13 and 14 matches which, incredibly, the first DVD doesn't seem to. I mean, how do you make a Steve Austin DVD without putting one of the greatest matches of all time and his first WWE title win on it? It boggles the mind. For £6.99, I'd say it's hard to go wrong. I'm just disappointed the Blu-ray version wasn't on sale.

The Blu-ray version of Randy Orton's collection was on sale, however, and I'd definitely recommend it. Sometimes the rampant kayfabing will irritate you ("Randy is still angry from his loss to CM Punk the night before...") but it does actually dig quite deep and it's pretty interesting. I've learned more about Randy Orton's drug problems (aside from, well, the drugs he was actually on) from the documentary than I have from anywhere else. The matches aren't bad either. The HD doesn't do a great deal for the older matches, but they do look a lot cleaner and smoother than they otherwise would. Additionally, it has Christian and Orton's Over The Limit match, which is worth the price of admission alone. I now own five of Orton and Christian's six matches on Blu-ray - I'm only missing the Money in the Bank one. One day. One day.
