Getting Noticed By Management
I just read from Justin La Bar that WWE is going to start a Countdown show before RAW every Monday Night starting this fall it will have interviews and leading up to 9 PM , Do you the fans like this Idea that WWE is going to do if so why do you like and if you don't why don't you like it me personally I like the idea they have countdowns for baseball football hockey nascar so why not wrestling basically they did have it for PPV'S the WWF/WWE Free For All .

great. as if they dont show enough bullshit promo videos and collages, now we get an extra half hour of them! how much you wanna bet the videos they show on this preshow will be shown AGAIN during RAW.

I like the idea. I just hope they dont overflow it with promos. Give this time to the up and coming stars to showcase their mic skills. It would be pretty entertaining to watch, and it would actually benefit the product, as they can build-up or start rivalries on it. (Small rivalries for the new talent)

God knows guys lower on the roster need a chance to cut some time on the mic. If this pre-show interview thing goes the way I expect it is, then we're likely to see mid-card guys like Ziggler, Kofi and others cut some promos when they don't actually ge a chance on the main show. Or maybe it'll just be another excuse to ****e out their main event guys, who knows, really.

a countdown show is not going to let new talent on the mic to cut promos, a countdown show's purpose is to hype that week's Raw, which means wrestlers like Cena, Punk and and Raw Superstars who are on Raw everyweek will be given the interviews and the announcers will merely recap last weeks show and give theories to hype what could be happening this week.

Why would you hype a show, 30 minutes or so before it starts, with wrestlers that will not be showcased on the show. The only exception being showing the dark match on USA, but that match will not be the main focus of the countdown show

You know what they should bring back Sunday Night Heat before PPV's that was the bomb it got low card talent on the PPV and also probably got a few late PPV buys too.

Back on topic the RAW idea does sound like the PPV hype thing i said above so it should have a match there that would have normally been a dark match to get some lower card talents shown on TV infront of millions and also should have some build up videos but defiantly not 30 mins full of them.

They can have other things like a promo that sets up something for RAW, a match and if its a special RAW like RAW roulette they could spin the wheel on the pre show. If they do what i said it will get a watch from me but it better not be full of hype videos for 30 mins.

I think its a great idea. Its just like the pregame before basketball, something you can watch but something you dont have to watch. That way if you've got an hour to spare you can tune in and if you're unable to watch the show you wont miss anything too important. WWE finally nailed it with this one!

They already have this in canada lol. Only difference its 15 minutes instead of 30. It starts at 9:00-9:15, Then raw runs from 9:15-11:15pm. Its just 15 minutes of what happened from the previous week.

Unless this is a whole other show i dont see the point. Its like a TNA reaction ripoff.

EDIT: Not saying thats a bad thing. I hope it is a rip off of TNA reaction. That show was awesome. I got to see shitty wrestlers like matt morgan, bubba and rhyno actually talk and try to make themselves better. It is a great idea to try and elevate wrestlers with some tv time.

I second that. I hope that WWE utlizes it more often. They should have done with Saturday Night's Main Event revival from 2006-2008. That way, it would've felt more important. If WWE does ever plan to bring back SNME in the future, I think they should have a countdown show before SNME on NBC.

For those of you who don't know we already have this before Raw in Canada anyway. The network that broadcasts Raw (The Score) airs a 15 minute preshow right at 7.00 pm Mountain time which then pushes Raw back 15 minutes. I personally hate it. I would much rather get on to the next show considering I actually know what is happening and don't need a refresher. I think it's not smart. The only thing it could do is allow for more people who don't watch it weekly to know what's happening.

I like this idea and think it will be great for WWE because then people who tune in early or are channel surfing will get an idea of what to expect on Raw. I think that it will help generate some more interest and keep people up to date on the storylines going on. They do something similar before PPV's so if it is anything like that when this begins then I know I will enjoy it. At the very least it would eliminate some confusion about the angles and provide an interesting moment or two.

Wait so 30 minutes before Raw for interviews and storyline progression?

Does this mean we'll get 30 more minutes of actual in ring action?

IF that's the case we may actually start to see some superstars who've been buried on Superstars finally see the light of day on Raw. The tag division may resurface, the middle card might be given more room to breath. Womens matches may last for more than 5 minutesss....err strike that last one 5 minutes is still a little long for the Diva's of the WWE.

Think of the difference 30 minutes of BS before Raw could make for the two hours of Raw.....

Doubt it buddy. The purpose of the show is to hype/build feuds. The focus isn’t necessarily wrestling but more of a promo related show. And I seriously doubt the WWE would put a bunch of jobbers on before RAW during a HYPE show.

Anyways, sounds cool.

A 30 minute show is a great way to build some feuds in the WWE. I have always thought the WWE needed a show like TNA's ReAction to help get some of the younger guys a little promo time (that is if the show isn’t focused solely on one feud). I am hoping that we see a little character/gimmick improvement from some of the younger guys like Dolph Ziggler, Sin Cara, or some of the other not yet established talent. But overall, it sounds like a totally awesome idea to have some sort of hype show before RAW. More time for me to enjoy my WWE.:)

In theory this is a good idea, IMO. As many have mentioned, they need to be careful not to just make it a half hour long show of video montages.

What I think it is good for is some promos for the younger guys not only giving them practice doing promos and interviews but also it will save time on the actual RAW show. If they can stick some of the comedy nonsense and non-main event interviews/promos on this pre-show, then maybe we'll get more wrestling on RAW or better development of the main storylines.

They should use this show for what I said above, interviews, maybe a couple video packages, and also to announce stipulations or possible matches for the upcoming RAW episode or PPV.

No one will watch if it's 30 mins of the same videos they will show on RAW and the PPV.
