He also became the oldest Hardcore Champion in history when he Blinded then champion Gerald Briscoe with Champagne and hitting him over the head with a second Champagne bottle. WON Has given him the award for Match of the Year (1981) Vs Sgt. Slaughter in an Alley Fight on April 21 of that year.

Credited with being the first ever ECW Champion Snuka is most remembered for his time in the WWE. He was a Heel when he was brought in but turned Face shortly after. He had two defining moment in his career. the first came when he climbed to the top rope and hit the Intercontinental Champion 'The Magnificent' Muraco with a Superfly Splash. This is what made Mick Foley want to become a profesional wrestler. The second came during a Piper's Pit segment when he got hit with a coconut at the hands of Roddy Piper. This feud would go on for a long time.
