WWE 12 wcw invasion

Im not sure if many of you watch the pro wrestling report but on the latest episode david herro announced that there will be a wcw invasion in the new video game and his sources are very reliable as he knows people in the wwe watch if u have not already but comment on what your thoughts are on a wcw angle in the new video game

I have not watched the episode but the idea is....interesting, I guess. Though I'm not sure what the point of it is.

WCW has been dead for ten years. Does anyone, especially new age fans, give a damn about it anymore? And how would WCW "invade" WWE? It's not like there are many former WCW guys on the roster to rebel.

Plus it wouldn't make much sense considering that 1. WWE owns WCW and 2. WWE already beat WCW during the Invasion. I know the storylines in WWE games are always a bit far fetched, but this just sounds dumb, honestly.

^^^I have to disagree with this. WCW Invasion= Possible characters from the old WCW we can play with. As with the storyline, who knows what will happen with it.

yeah undertaker's RTWM was messed up so wcw is a possibility cause really you got to think what is more ridiculous.BTW who is going to be the superstar in that RTWM?John Cena?

I can't say it's too much of a shock. WWE's released a shit load of WCW related DVDs lately, so why not continue to milk the dead franchise by giving them a storyline in the next WWE game? Who knows, we may even get to unlock more unannounced legends... or maybe that's how we unlock some of the announced ones.

speaking of that snich how can you have WCW with out the three main players hogan flair and sting? Isn't that kinda how they killed the original invasion?great more questions. But who cares let play the game and find out. So who's with me lol

I think they should go ahead and add Great Muta and Chono in the mix ( they WERE in the original NWO staple afterall. ) or at lease have their "moveset templates" as unlockables for your c.a.w. creations. ( OK, wishful thinking, but, still....)

Well on the roster for this years game there is set to be:

Kevin Nash (unlockable)
Booker T (Unlockable)
Rey Mysterio
William Regal
Chavo Guerrero
Ricky Steamboat (unlockable)
Vader (unlockable)
Eddie Guerrero (Unlockable)

If they made it so the WCW Invasion RTWM was only accessible after all those wrestlers had been unlocked, or you unlocked all those characters after completing the RTWM, then it would work.

Also, if they wanted to re-create the feel of the Invasion, wrestlers such as Christian and Stone Cold (unlockable) could switch sides, or they could just have current WWE roster members jump to WCW....I could certainly see someone like Randy Orton or Mark Henry doing this.

Also in WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011, you could set people to the WCW brand. Although it didn't really do much of anything. Maybe this could be the "invasion" they are talking about too. I didn't read the article but I do know that they added a lot more cut scenes for the season mode, so maybe one of the cut scenes is people from this brand will randomly attack wrestlers on a WWE branded show.
