I've always wondered why didn't they just have Hogan win this? Since he was the champion he could've won since he was taking Nash's place and after dropping the belt to Sting could've used the battle royal victory to get his rematch right there instead of the nonsense that actually happened like the "fast count" and the title becoming vacant. The Outsiders were still heavily in the tag title picture so there wasn't really any reason for Hall to be getting a World Title shot at this point. WWE was reeling after Montreal (morale wise, not business wise) and WCW capitalizes with this?
