Wrestlemania 28...Utilizing as much talent as possible

Radical Canadian Goose

Getting Noticed By Management
Warning: long post ahead

I just went on wwe.com and got the entire roster. Now I have created matches for mania using as much talent possible. Every year the same discussions are had.... who should be wrestling who isn't? wrestlers are upset with not getting mania payday. This is designed to have some fun, so hope everyone can have fun with it as well. Also I will not be providing explanations as this post is going to be long enough on its own

In no order at all:

John Cena vs Rock
Dolph Ziggler vs Randy Orton (WWE Championship)
Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus vs Wade Barrett vs Mark Henry vs Christian vs Big Show (World Championship)
CM Punk vs Chris Jericho
Cody Rhodes vs Goldust (IC)
Zack Ryder vs Jack Swagger vs Brodus Clay vs Mason ryan (Us)
AirBoom vs The Usos vs Hawkins/Rex vs Primo Epico (tag Team)
Miz vs RTruth vs ADR
Undertaker vs HHH vs Kevin Nash vs Kane
Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara
Beth Phoenix vs Kharma (divas)
Divas Battle royal featuring all remaining divas (winner is #1 contender)
Drew McIntyre vs Ezekial Jackson vs Hunico vs Jinder Mahal vs Justin Gabriel vs Ted Dibiase vs Tyson Kidd vs Heath Slater (smackdown MITB)
Titus Oneil vs Darren Young vs Derek Bateman (Nxt finale)
William Regal vs Khali (retirement match)
Santino/Hornswoggle vs Otunga/McGillicutty

I know everyone will say thats 15 matches ... it can easily be made a 5 hr event from 7-12 and I think all matches would be could... Unfortunately I left out 4 competitors (JTG, Johnny Curtis, Trent Baretta and Yoshi Tatsu). No offence to these guys, just couldn't find a spot for them maybe they can be future endeavoured...

Whats your Mania look like?

7-12 is an awful long time to host any event. Wrestlemania itself is usually four hours (give or take), and it's long enough. Then you want to add all of these irrelevant superstars on the roster to take up even more time. They're not worth it. Out of the Superstars you listed, these wrestlers don't belong on my 'Mania card:

The Usos
Hawkins
Tyler Rex
Drew McIntyre
Ezekial Jackson
Hunico
Jinder Mahal
Justin Gabriel
Ted Dibiase (maybe)
Tyson Kidd
Heath Slater
Titus O'Neil
Darren Young
Derek Bateman
William Regal
Khali
Santino
Hornswoggle
Otunga
McGillicutty

They are not needed. To wrestle in front of 70,000 strong should be a treat and should definitely be earned. None of these guys on my list have earned anything. They're not over. They haven't taken that extra step to stand out from the peers. Why should they be rewarded a Wrestlemania paycheck when they are completely irrelevant? Look, I order Wrestlemania to watch the WWE's elite wrestlers compete in matches I wouldn't normally see. I don't want Superstars on WWE.com regulars taking up time on my precious card. They're not worth it and quite frankly, haven't earned shit.

Thought I'd add something.
Rep comment from earlier said:
Hard to judge effort of guys who get no chance to prove their worth.
The superstars listed there have had many chances to show us what they have to offer. You don't need fifteen minutes of air time on Raw to show us your worth rather give us a reason to show us why you're worth pushing. There are plenty of ways to show us what you've got by displaying a certain amount of charisma. Or hell, go the Zack Ryder route and post vids on YouTube. There's no reason any of these guys should be anywhere near a 'Mania card.
Oh, and Swoggle/Santino are way over.
While I completely agree that Hornswoggle and Santino are way over, they aren't needed in anything but a short cameo at Wrestlemania. They are quite over, yet no one will take them seriously enough for any kind of push resulting in a Wrestlemania match.

Sorry Squirrel, but I hate that card. It's way too long and you have way too many guys on it. Why should WWE go out of their way to get guys on mania who can't even get on Raw or Smackdown? Why take time away from guys the fans actually care about to force guys like Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks on the card. Guys like that get their opportunity to be a part of the mania atmosphere by being a lumberjack or in the battle royal before the show goes on the air. I think they should consider themselves lucky to get that much.

Also, I hate triple threat matches on mania. Sometimes they're ok but usually they're not. You have several multi man matches and it just looks like a desperate card. WrestleMania is supposed to be the best of the best. I like the idea of getting mid card guys their own matches but not just a clusterfuck of random opponents.

Mania usually has eight or nine matches. I think the most they will fit in is eleven and that is wishful thinking. 15 is not going to happen. They made WM20 a five hour show and that and I think that had 12 matches and really dragged at points. Hope for 11 matches, expect nine, and don't count on seeing anyone you don't see on Raw or Smackdown every week.

TOO MANY mulitple matches. If you want to utilise guys, have a battle royal. For 2c, here is my current Wrestlemania card, in no apparent order.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
CM PUNK VS CHRIS JERICHO

THE ROCK VS JOHN CENA

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DANIEL BRYAN VS WADE BARRETT

STREAK VS CAREER
UNDERTAKER VS HHH Special referee: SHAWN MICHAELS

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
CODY RHODES VS GOLDUST

THE BIG SHOW VS SHAQUILLE ONEILL

MONEY IN THE BANK
DOLPH ZIGGLER(wins), JACK SWAGGER, CHRISTIAN, SHEAMUS, KOFI KINGSTON, EVAN BOURNE, JUSTIN GABRIEL AND TED DIBIASE

KANE VS KEVIN NASH

DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP
BETH PHOENIX VS NATALYA NEIDHART

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
ZACK RYDER VS THE MIZ VS ALBERTO DEL RIOS VS REY MYSTERIO

MARK HENRY VS MASON RYAN

11 matches with pretty much no dead wood. MITB gets a push to a couple of guys. The token celebrity match and legend on the card, an appearance by HBK on top of The Rock and the cintroduction of Class of 2012 Hall of Fame inductees, I think that is a solid card. Hell for good easure, Ziggler could cash in on Daniel Bryan and leave Mania World Heavyweight Champion, or even bigger shock, have Barrett beat Bryan then NOBODY would expect a heel to cash in over a heel, especially a guy who just won the WHC for the first time.

Thank you everybody for your input. I guess I really didn't put much thought into this . I like Barbers idea with 11 matches. Yes it was overkill with way too many multiple member matches. Thanks for all the constructive criticism

You guys really need to learn the difference between spam and non-spam.

5 hours of WWE action... in a Row....

Sorry but they can barely keep the entire two hour blocks for Raw and Smackdown entertaining, let alone fill a 5 hour time spot.

Half of the matches the OP listed are shit. I'm sure there will be a filler dark match before the event that's either a battle royal or for the tag titles.

I'm laughing at the idea of Undertaker vs HHH vs Kevin Nash vs Kane, can we say largest and worst clusterfuck ever?
