Wrasslin schools?

Mighty NorCal

SHALL WE BEGIN?
Were are, and who runs the good ones? does anyone have any info on any schools, their locations, how much they cost, that kind of thing. You know for anyones reference who may be interested in joining one. I think this could be a good reference point for any users who may want toget trained.

Personally I dont know were any are, or anything on the subject which is why I started the thread, so please anyone who does have good knowledge of it, enlighten me.

I want to try my luck in wrestling school so in a few years Ill need to find a school, Ive been looking at ROH for a mix of value and quality

Agrex, who runs that one down in atlanta??

Freedom- I heard Lance Storm has an awesome one, but its up in Canada. So thats out for me. The one in atlanta prolly is too. I have to stay in the philly/Jersey/Maryland area becuase of my job.

ROH school is in Philly so thats convinient I dont know how far I want to travel because Ill be in Wisconsin for at least 5 more years and there arent many wrestling schools around here

this is a serious dillema

I know a decent one in Southern Michigan, its owned by Dan Severn. Its 95 dollars a month w/ a 4 month commitment. It is relatively inexpensive and I hear it is of good quality, I may be heading there soon.

hm, dan severn??? Thats pretty badass. But is it a "pro wrestling" school, or a shoot fight training thing? Thatd be a good place for you freedom, thats pretty close to wisconsin.

Who are the trainers for the ROH school??? And I dunno if im tryna be trained for that...I dont know if I could remeber all the moves they wqould make me do on end ;)

I know there were two around here.

The OVW school was pretty good, for obvious reasons. I'm really not sure how that is going to end upw ith the WWE breaking it's association with it.

HWA's was run by Les Thatcher (Old Schooler and a bad ass to boot.) Shark Boy, D-Lo, and Nigel got there start here with Thatcher, but I think he's closed it. Seriously Les Thatcher had a wrestling radio show once a week, and me and him would have some wonderful verbal jabs, the guy is smart as hell.

yeah that school in Michigan would be a good one and quite close to me because I live in Southern Wisconsin so it wouldnt be much of a trip

the head trainer for the ROH school I believe is Delirious, and I think they try to teach charisma, psychology and stuff there just most subjects fail those sections

hm. and philly is doable. hhhmmmmm. IDK with my work schedule, Im not sure if I could do it. and philly is a lil over an hour drive. I wonder if I could work a special schedule. I mean fuck, im paying for it, I should be able to come when I can lol.

If anyone's seriously considering going to a wrestling school anytime soon (either before the end of this year, or early '09), get in contact with me, [email protected] .

The Dan Severn school is a pro wrestling school, he owns the place and rarely shows up, I have a friend who trains there now. It is run by a couple local indy guys, but they know their stuff, they really focus on chain wrestling as well as character development and as far as price it is relatively inexpensive, you can get info at:

priceofglorywrestling.com or dansevern.com

Im gonna ball so hard this summer

I just want to find a way to enroll in wrestling school before Im 22 because Im going to college but I want to get to the bigs as soon as possible

Mr. Hughes. From what I heard he's pretty good, and he actually wrestled The Undertaker.

I actually took a couple sessions at one. Its MSW. Run by the maestro (old wcw days lol). It was 500 for the entire program. You went until they thought you were ready to advance. I didnt have the funds to finish, but i hope to go back someday.

its alot harder than what most people think.

it'll make you admire performers alotttt more.

I imagine it is pretty fuckin hard. Im sure I could do it though. Ive gone thru some insane training in my day, and what I pur myself through daily is really shitty stuff. So im sure I could do it. I would give up. ever.

I've read that WWE undercard wrestlers make about $75,000 a year. I might be wrong., but if I'm not then that is terrible.

you think so?? I dont think thats bad at all. I make about 45k a year, and live very comfortably in my eyes. to get payed that much to do something that I think would be so damn fun to do??

Elaborate a little to me Jake, if you could.

Do you have to travel the globe paying for rental cars and hotels out of what you earn? I bet it soon mounts up. England is an expensive place to visit for an American. And do WWE pay medical bills? Maybe for the top talent, I'm unsure about Heat stars.
