The title explains it all, I know some people either like Booker on commentary or can't stand him, so who would everyone here rather have, Kevin Nash or Booker T? Remember Kevin Nash does sound very well at the announcers table as we saw in TNA a few years ago during the MEM angle where they took over TNA for a whole night.

Booker T.

I mean Kevin Nash used to be very charismatic in some form, but he would be very dull to listen to. He doesn't have nearly as much pep in his step as he used to. I'm sure he could pull it off just fine, but Booker T is actually doing a good job of this for his first months on the commentary team and has some kind of personality doing it. I just feel like Kevin Nash would be as slow commentating as he would wrestling. Sure Booker T has some really annoying lines and can be annoying at times, but so can every other commentator.

Great OP.

Kevin Nash would be an outstanding color commentator, IMO. He's hilarious, and he knows the business more than anybody around. I don't know about replacing Booker T. But I wouldn't mind them using him for a 3-man team on Raw.

If I had my choice, before Booker became part of the team, I would say Nash. Big Kev has always been golden on the mic, and he's subtle enough to make it work on commentary.

I like Booker. He's x100 better than Striker, bringing much needed energy and charisma to the booth. But, Nash is easier to understand, and he's much more clever. He's a funny guy, and I think he could heel it up a bit, which is something I'm not sure Booker can do (as a commentator).

I'm going with Nash, but I'm happy with Booker.

Booker can be a bit hard to understand sometimes thought but he is way better then Striker. He brings some energy and charisma to commentating.Nash to me seems like he could be a little dull. I went with Booker...Can You Dig That SUCKA?

Booker T might be the worst commentator of all time lol. I can hardly understand him sometimes.(backbreaker on the cocus bone/Cole: the what?!= LMAO). Nash would be a good choice but if he can still go, then I'll take the King.

I think either one is more than acceptable, I would prefer Nash I think he's funnier and like someone else mentioned a little easier to understand, besides WWe is PG now so they can't run the risk of this happening...

I guess he meant to say SUCKA Ha look at his reaction like oh shit am I gonna get fired? looks like Sherri thought it was funny

i have enjoyed booker on commentary, but i think Nash would be more suitable in the position. he has the mic skills and can be funny. so i would say Nash over Booker

Hahaha, I remember that happening. The look on Booker's face is priceless, and Sherri in the background trying to calm him down.

Personally, I haven't heard Booker T on Smackdown yet, but I can only assume he's probably extremely entertaining, but as far as a "mic skill" standpoint, I'd have to go with Nash. Over the years the WWE has had tons of ex-wrestlers that made pretty good or even awesome commentators, ie- Savage, Piper, Perfect, DiBiase wasn't half bad, Jesse "The Body" was amazing, and of course, the legendary Gorilla Monsoon.

I can only assume that Nash could have the potential to be almost as good as Jesse Ventura was.

Either guy would be good.

Both are actually very good.. I don't mind either, but if I have to pick 1, it would hae to be Booker T, I just loved him in TNA when MEM took over for the night! I like the sound of his voice and it's a change..

Not taking anything away from Nash as he is great aswell.. ☺

in my opinion neither id rather have matt striker back
but if i had choose nash or booker i would choose booker as the comment above me mentioned during the mem he was good on commentary.

Booker spits a lot of crap, but I really enjoy listening to him once again.

Was never really too involved with Nash and what he was up to, so I can't really compare the two. But from what I've seen and heard Kev is pretty good on the mic, so I would definately not mind him commentating Raw for a week or 2 in absense of Cole/King.

I have to go with Nash. Booker T is just plain annoying to me. Me and a buddy have a drinking game where we drink everytime Booker says "That's it" "He's done" "He might be out right here" etc... etc...

If Booker would lose the constant "Oh man! How did he kick out!" aspect of his commentating I think he would be tolerable, but I'm just sick of everytime there's a clotheline Booker yelling out "He's got him right here, he's got him! Wow, how did he kick out?!"

But's it's a pretty successful drinking game, so alas... I'm torn.

I'll pick Booker. He's pretty funny and quick witted. Kevin Nash only sounds good when he's giving a promo. Whenever he gives an interview or announces it comes off as he's 5 minutes from falling asleep.

Kevin Nash would have been awesome with Cole on NXT season 3.

But I like Booker so far and have only heard Nash call one match. I would choose Booker because Nash seems like he would never get excited (or care) about anything. Though Booker does seem a little generic right now, he will probably improve with time.

I went with Nash. I find both guys very entertaining on the mic, but I think Booker would still be able to contribute in the ring, while Nash's days as an in-ring competitor are pretty much over, his knees are shot to shit.

Booker is still in great shape and could probably still be able to put on a decent match, plus he is harder to understand on commentary than Big Kev.

However, I think everyone is being a bit hard on Booker, he is still new to the announcers desk, remember how shit Tazz was when he started and then how he improved once he got used to it. Announcing is not an easy job with Vince shouting down your ear constantly, I dont know if I would want to do it!

I'd also have to go with Nash. Earlier in his career he was quite atrocious with a mic in front of him, but he grew into it over time once he just started inserting himself into it rather than trying to play a character.

When I first saw this, all I could think about was that time in TNA when Booker and Nash were on commentary and Booker had me quite literally had me reaching for my remote. Nash was 10x better at it whenever he could get a word in edgewise, but Book made me want to die.

Thats what Vince used to do all the time and it annoyed the hell out of me. Find an old match with Vince and Savage, or Vince and Heenan or Vince and whoever, every pin..1!2!he got him 3! we got a new champion! oh a 2count how in the world did he kickout, several near falls in this matchup. Now that I mention Savage, Booker T isn't all that different from Savage commentating, Booker T is probably funnier. They should have both of them, 3 man announce team with those two and Josh Matthews or somebody.

Yeh i prefer Booker T his commentary is unintentionally hilarious just because it is so unrefined and hes prone to rambling he is charismatic though and brings a bit of personality to the commentary booth.

man i have listined to Big DaDDy CooL call matche's in TNA. And i look for something new of him on YouTube almost every 5 days because this man is PURE GOLD on any Mic & im a million times sure he would be GOLD as a WWE commentator.Nash is full of knowledge for the biz,is flowing charisma, and believe it or not he is very smart & very political.I think he is a Bigger & more controversial name in the wrestling biz than Booker-T & i know he would be leaps and bounds better than Booker.Personaly since Harlem Heat started i have been a huge Booker-T fan.Yes he is doing a great job on smackdown and as a comentator.ALTHOUGH not better then CM PUNK did for his short commentating a few month's back.I also think Booker could have a good carear as a comentator & i hope he does. But the whole thing i like about this thread is even thoe i would choose NASH 1OO% i don't think Big Kev is going to take Booker's job either.Yet i do think he will commentate after Jerry The KinG LawLeR retires whitch will hopefully be WRESTLEMANIA night and i hope to see Big Sexy sitting at the comentating booth.
tell me that would NOT be GREAT!!

!!JUST MY OPINION!!

For me it's hands down Kevin Nash.I look on youtube like every 5 days to see if i can find some more of his most recent interviews.Big DaDDy CooL has such a knowledge for the wrestling biz,Not to mention that Big Kev is Hilarious.Very smart in other subject's besides wrestling.Believ it or not he is pretty political.Plus he is more layed back than Booker, whitch allows me to understand him better. Now i have been a Harlem Heat & Booker-T fan since 94 the first day's i started watching wrestling so this isn't me choosing my favorite wrestler.I think Booker is doing a great job on SMACKDOWN,and i was thinking why does it have to be 1 or the other.Personaly i think the reson Nash has been in the background since he signed his WWE contract is i believe Jerry Lawler will step down @ WRESTLEMANIA and Big Sexy Kevin Nash will take his spot on the booth the night after MaNiA.I personaly hopes it happends

!!just my opinion!!

HE'S GONNA DO IT! HE'S GONNA DO IT! HE'S GONNA FLY!
The knocks against Booker being hard to understand and not making sense all the time are valid. But he GET'S EXCITED about what he's seeing and that carries over to the audience at home. Grisham and Striker sounded like they were commentating the PGA tour. Booker is green on commentary but he's getting better & I like that he makes it feel like I'm watching wrestling and not golf.

Booker T ain't bad as a commentator but there seems to be some charm and excitement missing from his commentary. William Regal has started doing commentary on NXT 5, he might have been better choice than Booker IMO. Haven't heard much of Kevin Nash, or you can say when I started following WWE he wasn't there and when I started watching TNA he left. So not sure from that aspect.
