Would Mickey Rourke

FromTheSouth

You don't want it with me.
have gotten the phrase "Major Hollywood Actor" put in the headline about his appearance at WM 25 if he had gotten nominated for awards for a movie not about wrestling?

KB, you're rep comment is supposed to say that's funny. so when you see that it just says that, know that I am typing in the dark.

Mickey Rourke is a "major Hollywood actor" because he is currently one of the most-talked about actors in Hollywood right now, and for the first time in twenty years, it's because of his acting. He is getting a ton of press right now, and his appearance at WM could very well help draw a few extra buys, especially if he wins the Oscar.

Well he wouldn't be appearing if he wasn't in a movie somewhat about wrestling in the first place.

And WZ tend to exaggerate quite a bit as people have pointed out. I seem to recall "BIG STAR RELEASED" being used as a headline for people like Snitsky.

Nevertheless, this is STILL very big news. Were it a few years ago, it would not. But Mickey Rourke is the THE talk of the town, and The Wrestler at Wrestlemania would NOT go unnoticed.

yeah, Rourke is pretty hot shit right now, if he wins an Oscar, that's about as much of an A-Lister as you could possibly get. The problem is Rourke has dropped a ton of weight, so don't think for a second their is going to be a match invovling him.

If he wins the Oscar then the end of the match is predictable. But it could be one of the best WrestleMania moments of recent years.

The only probalem with the situation is Jericho. He's sloppy and he doesn't have good matches with average workers.

Mickey Rourke is a former boxer. I think if he wanted or needed to, he could get the weight and muscle back on.
