Would Awesome Kong have a chance at being signed by WWE?

I was reading a previous thread about Awesome Kong possibly giving TNA her notice to leave. In the posts that follow there were quite a few suggestions that WWE would never sign her. Here is my question(s):

Do you think that if Kong left TNA, would WWE sign her?

Yes/No, why?

I feel that she could add a great deal of value to the WWE Roster. If used properly you can build up Beth Phoenix as the unstoppable Diva that can't be beaten, and then have Kong come in and lay her out.

Play on the fact that she came from the 'minor league' to WWE because she wants a challenge, she wants the Women's Championship because thats the title that was held by legends (Moolah, Martel, Stratus).

You can either do this with her speaking for herself, or if Alyssa Flash is available...

Yea it probably wouldn't work, as much as talented as Kong and Flash, they probably just wouldn't be used right in WWE. Put it this way, WWE limits their male workers to a bit but thats really not to how the Divas are limited. That and Kong doesn't have the look Vince likes, his balls would probably shrivel up at the sight of Kong. Of course this is all pending on the fact that she does get released. Remember Homicide and someone else(forgot who) asked for their releases, but TNA didn't allow them to walk away.

Considering the Divas wrestle for a combined 6 minutes on all WWE shows throughout the week I doubt she would get hired.

Gail Kim should have never left TNA. Their Divas, while hot are useless and so boring!

I mean they think that Mickie is over weight.. then they turn around and sign Kong?? LOL come on... they want Models NOT Quality wrestlers. And are more obsessed with weight than talent apperantly.

Unless she transfers her brain into say, Rhianna's body, would she even be considered for a WWE contract. Divas aren't there to wrestle anymore, they are there to appease the pissed off 18-40yr old male demographic, regardless of what Divas who actually want to be respected for their talents, such as Melina or Mickie James, may believe.

I'd say that Kong has a chance of being signed by the WWE. The WWE has changed their programing to a more PG friendly environment. For the divas disvion, this means that less emphasis is being put into the way they look (since sex can no longer be marketed to the extent that it had been before the PG era); instead, interest in the divsion is drawn from the matches and feuds.

For the first time in perhaps half a decade, the divsion has developed some real feuds with heels and faces with character deveolpment.

The WWE would hire Kong based on her talent; not looks. She's a bonafide monster of a woman, who is capable of bumping and selling her opponents offense, making them look credible against surviving a giant opponent. She's wouldn't be easily replaced, because there aren't many other pontenial superstars for the division with her size, strength, and talent. Her mere presence would be enough to bring credility to any feud; as well as spark interest with fans. Much like Andre the Giant, and the Great Khali for the men's division.

Ah ... NO. the piggy James is a story line.. its a storyline because in real life they have asked her to lose weight and is the reason the title was stripped off her a while back because they noticed her belly getting bigger.

If they Hire Kong she will then have grounds to sue for unfair treatment.. she will then be let go and thus prolly go to TNA at some point. This issue with her being to big started WAY before the storyline went to air. I think the WWE is ******ed because Mickie is a great looking woman and she is the only one that was asked to lose weight. The PIGGY JAMES is a story line that she agreed too, but prior to the story line they asked her constantly to lose weight (they even said it was causing her to be sloppy in her matches... HELLO she is one of the only women wrestlers left in WWE the majority can't wrestle worth a shit. If they actually gave her some good wrestlers to work with MAYBE JUST MAYBE she wouldn't look sloppy! But No they stick her with models who couldn't fight there way out of a wet paper bag and them blame her weight, if the match was horrible. WTF if I was Mickie I would have left a long time ago.. but she is prolly making a lot and hasn't wanted to unless the music thing works for her)

I really don't think Vince would give her a chance. C'mon, he's running this whole stupid angle on SD because he thinks that Mickie James has put on some weight. Just think of the horrible things Vince would do to Kong! I think the last big girl he had in WWE was Bertha Faye and I really don't want to see a repeat of that fiasco. Kong needs to stay as far away from the E as possible.

Definitely not. Awesome Kong is the exact opposite of what most of the divas are like. She does not have the look of a WWE diva and she would most likely be be given a bad storyline, if any. Despite disliking her, I acknowledge her in-ring abilities. However, WWE doesn't really look for good wrestlers when it comes to their female roster. If that were the case, then Beth and Natalya would be closer to breaking Trish's record than Mickie is. Kong should stay as far away from WWE as possible because she would very likely be used incorrectly and does not have the look that WWE wants from the divas.

I don't think so. Especially when the Women's division on both shows suck, why would they want to add somebody that looks like a MAN? All that WWE has divas there are for eyecandy, which is something that Kong could not and would not bring to the table.

Now on that note i agree fully!!!!!. Kong is a wrestler and not a diva!! WWE will never sign her as if they did then we would have a new womans champion almost instantly. Kong is a good wrestler but If WWE do sign her, they would only use her as a story to riducule or to use as a jobber. Talking of Mickie James. SHE IS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has a chance, but I don't want to see it happen. As others mentioned she is far from the look Vince goes for and would almost certainly be misused. The Diva's roster has about a handful, if that much, of talent that could actually be credible opponents for Kong. With a split Diva's roster, Kong could only go so far. Not to mention that WWE adds a new girl maybe once a year, and Kong is a big fish in a tiny, less talented pond.

At first she'd come in, beat everyone, and win a title but then she'd probably go the way of Beth Phoenix and lose her dominance. It wouldn't be long before we'd see Kong jobbing to Kelly Kelly or the Bella Twins. Then they'd probably turn her into a comedy character, the fate that seems to befall most monsters (Khali, Henry, and now Koslov).

I just hope that Kong gets things straightened out and stays in TNA.

WWE wanted Kong, so I'm certain they'd want to sign her. She was aware that WWE Diva's often look a certain way, which is why she signed with TNA over WWE in the first place. But she must be aware that WWE would at least give her a solid push initially, even if she wouldn't have a long run.

The problem with wrestlers like Kong is that they have a short shelf life. If WWE signed her, she'd dominate for ages, but eventually someone would beat her, and they'd be in the same quandry that TNA found themselves in over what to do next with her. I think Kong could be good for a while, and I think the same company who hired Chyna and who still insist on bringing out Mae Young every five minutes probably aren't quite as devoted to all of their divas looking like models as everyone suggests. I think they'll probably give her a run, but she'd succumb to the monster heel's curse eventually.

I think she has a chance of getting picked up by them but I doubt it would last very long. Monster's never do very well in WWE. Look at all the male ones they end up either a comedy character or a jobber who will get released soon enough. If she joined she would probably get the Womens championship quickly then be undefeated for months then some one like Maria would beat her then nobody would take her serious then get pushed down the division. I'm guessing she would get sick of this and just leave as Kong would deserve better than that then probably leave. It would work for a bit then get stale, but I still think WWE would give her a chance.
