Would a the JOB squad work today?

Dark Match Jobber
A random thought crossed my mind about the JOB squad, actually it was their tag line, pin me, pay me. Could a new generation of jobbers make this work. We could have a real eclectic group similar to that of the original line up which was (correct me if i'm wrong) al snow, gillberg, blue meanie, hardcore holly.

Today's group would have Chavo Guerrero, Kane ( let's face it he is a jobber to the stars), Tyler Reks, and Shelton Benjamin. A group of guys who are just plain sick of losing. They could be a bit edgier than the original squad who was content with their position, they could kind of have the Owen Hart approach where enough is enough, and it's time for a change.... thoughts, opinions, comments...all welcome!!!

BTW first thread so I hope you guys enjoy!!

My thought is that this could work, just in a slightly different format. The original JOB squad was something like a gang or (at least this was the impression I got) a union. It could work like that again, but I think the only difficulty there is that it has been done already. However, a group of jobbers getting together for mutual help, that is definitely possible.

I've already touched on my idea for a kind of Mafia family with Santino at the head in a couple of other threads, so I won't go into that again here.

Another possibility is a sort of Illuminati style secret society. I think it could get really funny as they get carried away with passwords and secret codes and such. It could lead to some hilarious vignettes. I'm not certain I'd put Kane or Shel in there, though. Shelton's making his comeback on ECW as a solid heel and Kane...well he can't really be trusted to play well with others long enough to get the group started. I'd go with Chavo, Santino, Jamie Noble, and either Jimmy Wang Yang or Kung Fu Naki.

My job squad would consist of:

Santino (as the leader)
Chavo
Charlie Haas
Jamie Noble
Jillian (every good group needs a girl)

I think this has the potential to be hilarious, if done properly. They could try to recruit people but make a rule that you have to lose almost all your matches to qualify. People trying to get in (which would be other jobbers) would try to lose matches on purpose because they want in so badly. They could try to beat down established guys, but only go after big guys. Like, they could try a gang beatdown on guys like Batista or even Undertaker only to get destroyed. They could even go as far to make a new title: the Jobber's Championship; the only title you can win by losing.

If anything, it'd be a interesting and potentially entertaining way to use talent that would otherwise be ignored or released.

Its funny you should mention that which I highlighted.

There is an indy fed in the Pacific Northwest called ECCW (Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling) that actually does have a Jobber title with the stipulation that it can only be won by losing.

Anyways, on topic, I like some of the choices made here, but I personally would throw in either Hacksaw or Goldust just for kicks. I mean with Santino as a leader of a group like this, and one of those two in the mix, it could either be freaking hilarious, or a complete disaster, which would also be hilarious.

This is the best idea I have heard in a long long time. You could go alot of different directions and make it entertaining. Great idea take Notes VINCE
