Carmella has been manipulating Ellsworth for a long time. It was the odd couple at first. Why would she want anything to do with that loser? We found out why. She won the match in a way that generated a ton of discussion and got her a ton of heat. That's a W.
Heels are supposed to cheat and get booed. You're not supposed to like it when they win. This is old time character work heel stuff, and a lot of you don't know how to handle it. You want your heels to be cool badasses. I'm LMAO.
Agreed. At this point. I'll see how it plays out first. But yeah, at the moment Bryan is looking like a biased busybody here, which I'm not sure is what you want out of him. We'll see. Gotta see how it plays out from here.

Yes, they found it. And than they took it ALL away by stripping her of the briefcase. If she wins again next week with the help of James Ellsworth, that might give her some of that heat back, but it also pretty much makes the first match, and the weeks of build that led to it, completely pointless. If she doesn't win it, she pretty much goes back to square one... which is to say, people will go back to not giving a shit about her.
They had something special with Carmella after the original finish, which (toot toot) I predicted as soon as the match at MITB was over. They had people booing her out of the building which (toot toot) I said was going to happen the next day when people were complaining. Then they took away the reason for that heat. They made the finish of the match obsolete.
It is what it is, but I feel like the way things played out in the first place worked effectively enough. I don't see the need for this do-over. Like I said, if this was the original plan, it was rather ridiculous in my opinion.
I mean......we gotta see how it plays out though. It's hard to say it was ridiculous when it hasn't happened yet and we don't know how it plays out.
I agree, I thought the finish was fantastic because it got the heel over as a heel. I was completely happy with leaving it at that. If they screw it up, I'll be the first to say it. I rarely think highly of their booking. We'll see what happens.

True. I may be jumping the gun because I have very little faith in the creative team at this point. But I mean, I think I kind of have a gripe seeing as one of the very few finishes that was pulled off extremely well (in my opinion) in the last little while was reversed two days later.
But ultimately, you're right. If they pull off something great next week, I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong.
Not a real fan of it. The fact is, last sunday, they created something special with the screwjob finish of the money in the bank match. They created a heel and listening the an response to carmella and ellsworth was awesome. For the first time, carmella felt like a real heel and not just an afterthought. Then, just because their was some backlash to this finish by the dirt sheet writers and some fans. You decided to redo the whole thing and destroy all the great thing that the first one has done

For me it wasn't such a big deal, but I can see why so many people is upset. However I do not understand why Carmella was stripped from the MitB briefcase, while she could just "defend it" on a rematch. You know, that kind of thing "oh you think you're so good then prove it".
It won't make sense at all if someone else wins the ladder match, Carmella should regain the briefcase and coming out of this match strong in a heel way. Becky almost retrieving it and then is hit by Carmella with a chair, in some fashion like Edge did on the first one. Or something like that

I think this was all ultimately planned to put more heat on Carmella. I thought she cut a great promo Tuesday night and her explanation for everything was perfectly heelish. In my opinion/review for MITB, I mentioned that I suspected that she'd be stripped of the briefcase and that another MITB match would be held on SmackDown Live; both Bryan & Shane's Tweets were shown during the MITB broadcast too quickly and conveniently for this to be WWE bowing to some sort of online pressure. I have much more confidence in the blue brand's booking as SmackDown has been the better, more consistently well booked show almost each and every week since the brand split.
When it's said and done, I can see Carmella winning the MITB contract again through some sort of underhanded actions. She alluded to her intelligence made her stand out among the women of the blue brand, so maybe she displays some other tactic or possibly shows a more ruthless, vicious side to her by using a steel chair, kendo stick or something along those lines. In any event, I think she'll win the briefcase this Tuesday in another heelish way.

As much as I'd like to see Becky win the re-do, I think they simply can't do anything other than having Carmella win (by cheating somehow). Maybe James Ellsworth,although banned from ringside, is up in the rafters and lowers the briefcase or something.

I agree with your point though. The finish of MITB match is pissing off the IWC, which was exactly the intention.
Carmella really need to win back the briefcase next week or this whole thing was for nothing. Having said that how do you get her to win the briefcase without having a clean finish which would make the first match mean absolutely nothing.
Here how i would book it, i know that ellsworth as been banned from ringside next week but have him come to ringside anyway near the end of the match which would distract the referees and some of the competitors as well, meanwhile becky lynch go on and grab the briefcase thinks she won the match but no referee see it because their all to busy with escorting ellsworth out. Let's repeatedly talk about making history, only to do the same match again. Two weeks later. On free TV. They wonder why interest in PPVs are down.
So I know I complain a lot, and it hasn't even happened yet. But WWE constantly messes up even the simplest booking. Maybe it will turn out better than expected.
